Hi,I am using STM32H725REV6 chip in our product. Based on my understanding, since this is 68pin version which doesn't have VREF+ pin, the VREF+ is internally connected to VDDA. If my understanding is correct, I would like to ask if we would like to use VDDA as reference voltage, how to configure the VREFBUF register to use VDDA as reference voltage. Thanks. Regards, Eric

HiI have implemented ADC1 on a DMA and verified its operation. I then implemented the ethernet stack and verified that it can be pinged. The issue I'm having is that the ADC DMA stops working once the ethernet stack is implemented. I believe the error might be within the memory assignment within the MPU and the DMA memory allocation. I've gone through quite a few forum posts but still have no success. Any assistance on how to configure these would be greatly appreciated. RegardsEzra

 I have three variables:volatile uint16_t a[20000];volatile uint16_t b[20000];volatile uint16_t c[20000]; However, I only have one DMA channel.Can I use the DMA to transfer these three variables together in circular mode?starting with the first 10,000 items of each 3 variable, so the total items will be 30,000currently: HAL_DMA_Start(&hdma_tim8_com, (uint8_t*)xxx, &dst, 30000);

Hi   I am using a STM32L433 and have a digital input pin, which is checked on bootup and enables the USB if 3.3v is in the pin.  When working in debug mode, it always works, but when I switch to release mode , using stm32CubeIDE , it always reads 0v, and my optimization is None. Below is my code .     RCC->AHB2ENR |= RCC_AHB2ENR_GPIOBEN; //Enable Port B clock GPIOB->MODER &= ~GPIO_MODER_MODE12; //PB12 as input, check for usb interaction inSetupMode=(GPIOB->IDR >> 12 )& 1; //=1 when using USB     Can anyone let me know what the issue is?   Many thanks   Scott

Hello and respect, I downloaded the stv0900 data sheet from the site and it was 5 pages, and unfortunately there was no information about the stv0900 pins in it, is it possible to send me the complete document? I need information about its pins and connections so that I can design its circuit and use it for a demodulator in my board.

Hi,I tried to flash stm32wb5mm-dk board with cubeProgrammer with image of 900kB. I am getting error message " Sector Erase operation has failed at least for one of the specified existing sectors"These are my settings of memory protection:When I try some options to apply I get this:I tried to change RDP level from 1 to 0 but nothing changed. I also tried with st-utilty but nothing again. In one moment I lost connection between MCU and ST-link(The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU) but I managed to fix it with connecting BOOT0 and VDD. After that I couldn't even read memory:This happens when I try mass erase:I tried with updating st-link firmware, different versions of cubeProgrammer and st-utilty, different cables, additional power supply but still nothing. These are some messages when I try to flash:I am not even able to download image from cubeIDE anymore.After all these attempts, I ordered one more DK, and I Immediately tried to flash board with cubePro

What is the difference between STGIB10CH60TS-L and STGIB10CH60TS-LZ? The difference Z.

I used a Nucleo F767ZI dev board to check and write firmware(The IC on the board is STM32F767ZIT6U with the other characters being AA 254 VQ Z on first line and TWN AA 341 on line 2),when I use HSI clock I am able to operate PD7, PG9, PG10, PG11, PG12 as an input or output GPIOBut on the custom developed board (the IC on the board is STM32F767ZIT6 with the other characters being AA108 VQ on the first line and TWN AA 334 on line two)In this custom developed board while I am able to Program and debug the board and I am able to use all other pins except PD7, PG9, PG10, PG11, PG121)1)The DC resistance of each of the above mentioned Pin and VCC(3V3) is infinite and same is with GND is also infinite2) When I configure any of these Pins as GPIO Output as PUSH PULL and low speed mode then I see when I set the GPIO I see as the ODR setting but when I measure the voltage on the connecter(nothing between the connecter and the MCU Pin and tack length is less than 5 cms) i see 0.5 to 0.6V3) When I

We're running into a really weird situation with a bootloader that copies some code into ITCM.  The bootloader initializes various peripherals and clocks and then copies data from the QSPI flash to both the SRAM and to the ITCM memory.  Then we use the NVIC_SystemReset() call to fully reset everything (apparently there's an Errata that some things don't get properly de-initialized unless a full reset is called).  But we are running into a very strange situation whereby it looks like the last byte that was written into ITCM gets corrupted by the SystemReset call!  We've tried a few things like settng  the ITCM to not be cacheable and calling SCB_CleanDCache before doing the reset.  It always seems to be  the last byte written.  As a test, I used memset to zero-out an additional 35 bytes, and the problem happened at the last byte of the memset.  The value seems to be possibly related to some other ITCM contents (e.g. if I zero out the ent

Hi folks,I recently started my STM32 journey using a STM32WLE5JCxx (the LoRa-E5). After fighting with the SubGHz for a while, I managed to write a decent application, but I'm not completely familiar with all of the essentials yet.Currently, I am using the `HAL_Delay()` function, but after some testing found that it is highly inaccurate. My code snippet:  int i = 0; while(1) { printf("%d\n", i++); HAL_Delay(100000); } The output I get (with the actual difference in milliseconds calculated afterwards): 13:26:41.925 > 0 13:28:22.323 > 1 (+398) 13:30:02.318 > 2 (-5) 13:31:42.309 > 3 (-9) 13:33:22.290 > 4 (-19) 13:35:02.236 > 5 (-54) 13:36:42.118 > 6 (-118) 13:38:21.961 > 7 (-157) 13:40:01.796 > 8 (-165) 13:41:41.623 > 9 (-173) 13:43:21.431 > 10 (-192) This means that on every 100 seconds, the clock drifts anywhere from -200ms to +400ms. A fixed value drift might've been OK, but this is quite unworkable.I did read that `HAL_Delay()

Hi,I try to comuunicate between STM32L443VCT6  and ultrasonic A02YYUW (By UART1) Just to make sure that the ultrasonic is working ok, i tested it by UART1 with model: stm32 neucler f441 and everthing works ok. This is the code for the STM32L443VCT6:   #include "main.h" #include "string.h" #include "stdio.h" #include "stdlib.h" #include <stdbool.h> UART_HandleTypeDef huart1; uint8_t data[4] = {0}; // Buffer to hold the 4 bytes from the sensor float distance = 0.0; void SystemClock_Config(void); void MX_GPIO_Init(void); void MX_USART2_UART_Init(void); int main(void) { HAL_Init(); SystemClock_Config(); // Use internal oscillator (MSI) MX_GPIO_Init(); USART1_UART_Init(); /* Infinite loop */ while (1) { /* Wait for the start corrector (0xFF) */ do { HAL_UART_Receive(&huart1, &data[0], 1, HAL_MAX_DELAY); } while (data[0] != 0xFF); /* Clear the data array before receiving new data */ //clearDataArray(); /* Start

Hello, I am using a RIverDI STM32U5A9 and I am facing a strange hardfault issue in my environment.The connection details as follows:ESP board <--UART--> STM32 <--MessageQueue---> LCD displayThe ESP board sends continuous data through UART and the STM32 UART task receives the data and send the data to LCD display task through message queue. Whenever I try to restart the ESP after firmware update, the STM32 stops getting UART data and reinit the UART once the connection is reestablished. But the application gets into hardfault error when this happens. The hardfault occurs after few packats transfer and not on the first UART reception.Can someone help me on this? Thanks!

Hello dear ST community,I am making a PPS (sink) application based on NucleoG0B1RE + SNK1M1. As noted in various resources, the TCPP01-M12 doesn't include OCP protection. However, the USB Power Delivery Specification R3.2 on usb.org, strongly recommends OCP protection for sink operating with PPS.My question is what is the best approach to implement OCP int his context?According to the Engineering guide for current sensing (page 32-34) it appears one can use sense amplifier with alert pin, or just sense amplifier with comparator to drive a FET as an e-fuse. My initial thought was to add another FET, such as the STL11N3LLH6 (already part of TCPP01 solution) and use the alert pin to turn off the MOSFET. Additionaly, I would send a event flag to MCU where it could be further processed.However, I am bit concerned about how this might affect the UCPD stack. If the path is turned off  (but not directly controlled by TCPP01), would this disrupt the UCPD communication? To which state it wi

Heyho,using all SAI blocks on H723 / H733 / H735 with stereo audio ADCs via DMA, working smoothly as long as both channels are used.Now I wanted to implement turning off single channels, and I thought I could do that with the SAI / DMA settings.I just found the MONO mode & bit and its limitations (RM0468 Rev 3, page 2304):So only slot 0 (channel 1 of stereo ADC, or in audio terms: LEFT channel) can be used. (This is terrible!)As far as I understand, the settings in register SLOTR stay the same as for stereo mode (NBSLOT = 1 and SLOTEN = 3).DMA buffer length is set to half the stereo length.Problem:I still see data of channel 2 in the DMA buffer, it's changing all the time: sometimes channel 1 data only, sometimes stereo data (with the usual channel multiplexing, samples: c1 c2 c1 c2 c1 ...).Anybody any ideas?Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone, I'm having a hard time with the clock configuration on my NUCLEO board, which is probably related to my limited experience with STM32, so apologies if it's a dumb question.I was testing around with said NUCLEO board and the STM32CubeIDE. I loaded up the preset for the board and got my testcode working. Then I noticed, that the SYSCLK was set to 64MHz by default. Since the CPU1 can go up to 480MHz I tried increasing that value to 400MHz and let CubeIDE find a solution. I updated the prescalers for my peripherals and timers and uploaded the code again.But after the increased clock-frequency, most of my code broke. Timers 3-5 seem to work as expected, but for example Timer 2 is set to ellapse after 800 counts which at 200MHz should equal 4µs, seems to have a duration of 8µs when setting a pin and observing with an oscilloscope. Also lots of steps seem to be skipped, since my generated pattern is missing more than half of it's pulses (the toggling is done when Timer 2

Hi,We have a custom board with a STM32G071R8T6TR, PA4 is configured as input but it does not work.All other inputs on the boards are working correct but PA4 is a problem.If we configure PA4 as an output it works fine, we toggle hi/lo, we have checked IDR for PA4 and the IDR does not change which is a problem, it does that when we toggle PA5 and PA6 hi/lo the IDR for PA5 and PA6 change.If PA4 is configured as input and we change input hi/lo there is no change in IDR either.We have cheked MODER is correct.What do we miss here or could this be a defect STM32 MCU ?Kind regardsMorten

Hello. I'm trying to use Ethernet MAC with external PHY (LAN8720) but when I try to configure the Ethernet on the IOC there is no Advanced Parameters tab (STM32F407VGT6). HAL Lib. version is 1.27.1. I tried a few things but I had no luck. I think I'm missing something but couldn't figure out what. If you could take a look, It would be so helpful. Thanks in advance.

We want to turn on the LED when the microcontroller is powered on. Before the program is executed.Is it possible to achieve this with just the program, without changing the HW?Specifically, we want to program LD6(PWR) of STM32F412G-DISCO.

Hello.I'm trying to download the latest version of STM32CubeProgrammer (STM32CubeProg) STM32CubePrg-W64 but it doesn't work. Version 2.17.0.Thanks for your support.

Dear Sir/Madam We are using STM32U585AII6Q MCU part in one of our projects. We encountered a problem with Flash read protection and no longer able to flash the MCU. Below is the reference screenshot from the error. We also tried few methods defined in the below document (page 56).We use Segger j-link tool (JTAG interface). https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um2237-stm32cubeprogrammer-software-description-stmicroelectronics.pdf   Unfortunately, we are not successful, and unable to even read the Device authentication ID as well . Device authentication ID shows 0x - -. Could you please let us know how we can set Read protection level 0. Thank you in advance Regards Apoorva

Hello,I am trying to set up a web browser on my STM32MP157F-DK2 board.Following https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_install_a_simple_web_browser.I tried:root@stm32mp15-disco:~# apt-get install qt-wpe-simple-browserReading package lists... Hi I have connected the GNSS1A1 board and F446ZE boards. When I run the FW (Virtual Com Port) that I set up through STM32CUBE IDE (X-CUBE-GNSS) and start the program, when it enters MX_GNSS_Process() the gnssMsg struct's buffer pointer is pointing at reserved 0x2002 0000 address. Then I tried generating the code for FW Updater example program, the Teseo Suit Can not do anything. It stops at Syncing, or if I try to force the update, at around 80% it freezes and recommends recovery mode. That doesn't work either. Please help. I tried everything I2C or UART port but it looks like nothing is helping. The GetPos example is running fine, however gets no data. @Tesla DeLorean maybe you know something. :)

I am developing product using STM32H7A3 series MCU.In my product we configure CEC peripheral on the MCU in order to use it.I follow the steps mention in RM.I conduct a CEC compliance test, and some error detected on CEC_ISR register.My I know, what can cause the bit TXERR to become 1(meaning transmission error)?----explanation in RM------Bit 11 TXERR: Tx-errorIn transmission mode, TXERR is set by hardware if the CEC initiator detects low impedance on the CEC line while it is released. TXERR aborts message transmission and clears TXSOM and TXEOM controls.TXERR is cleared by software write at 1------------------------------------It mentions "low impedance detected" but what can cause the low impedance detected?

I'm doing a 4D orientation detection FSM on the ISM330BX. There is no example for this IMU so I'm following the examples for some of the other IMUs. That is fine and the code works, but what I can't work out is how to calculate the THRESH1 value and get it to agree with the value displayed in MEMS-Studio.As shown in the attached screenshot, 0x3A66 (14950 in decimal) is shown as 0.8 g in MEMS-Studio for the ISM330BX, but if I work it out:Value in g = 14950 x 0.000061 g/LSB = 0.913 gAny ideas on what I am misunderstanding?It doesn't really matter from a FSM perspective whether THRESH1 = 0.8 or 0.91 g but still...
