Hello,I am using the NUCLEO-WBA55CG board with CubeIDE1.4.0 and the firmware package STM32Cube_FW_WBA_V1.2.0.When I flash the project BLE_p2pServer_ota, everything seems to be fine at first. But when I scan the BLE devices with the ST BLE Toolbox app, I can't find it.Then I deleted the first two sectors in the flash with CubeProgrammer and uploaded the binary file BLE_p2pServer_ota.bin. Nothing happened. Then I executed another flash process from CubeIDE and suddenly it worked. In this example, do I have to delete certain sectors in the flash before I upload it?

Hello everyone,I'm a fairly experienced STM32 Developer, and I use the STM32 line almost in all of my designs. However, I've encountered an extraordinary problem.I've followed this Application note: AN5290 in my schematic (see attachment). However, I cannot program it via SWD.I've supplied +5V and checked that all +3V3 rails are present and OK.When I try to program it via STLINK-V3 (official, not the clone) it cannot access the MCU and says "No STM32 Target Found".I've connected the MCU USB to my computer and showed that the MCU is in DFU Mode even though BOOT0 is pulled LOW.Another strange thing is that Option bits are assigned strangely.I've uploaded the code in the attachments via USB DFU mode and the Code has worked perfectly. However, I cannot program it again even via SWD or DFU which is very strange behavior. The board consumes around 10mA in DFU or Runs the code in the attachments.Thanks.

I want to use the WiFi module IDW01M1 and/or IDW04A1. In both quick-Start-Guides I get the tip to download the "X-Cube-WiFi1 expansion software package for STM32Cube". Unfortunately all the Links for this file are broken/dead.Is this package compatible with the newest CubeMx? Is the middleware in other cube files integrated? Thanks in advanceChristian

Hello,I made a Motor Driver Circuit and I want to read the ADC via DMA, but it has different settings compared to other microcontrollers such as F4, G4, F0. How can I do it or is there a code or video that can be an example? STM32F042C6U6 SettingsOther MCU`s Settings

The STM32WL5MOC datasheet (DS14084 - Rev 4 Feb 2024) contains the following comment on page 6."To keep an output power > 13 dBm, the TOS presented to the module should be ≤2."Will someone please tell me what TOS stands for. Best regards, Roy Cooley

Good Morning,I downloaded the zip file for the 2N2907AHR SPICE model, but Windows complains that the folder is empty and cannot be extracted. Can someone else confirm this behavior, and if so would it be possible to post a working copy?Thank you,Jon

Currently I am working on UART DMA and I encountered problems after transmitting data via DMA UART. After 1 successful data transmission, the state flag remains on BUSY. After a search, I ended up on this thread and this fixed the problem. Threadstatic void UART_DMATransmitCplt(DMA_HandleTypeDef *hdma) { UART_HandleTypeDef* huart = ( UART_HandleTypeDef* )((DMA_HandleTypeDef* )hdma)->Parent; /* DMA Normal mode*/ if ( HAL_IS_BIT_CLR(hdma->Instance->CCR, DMA_CCR_CIRC) ) { huart->TxXferCount = 0; /* Disable the DMA transfer for transmit request by setting the DMAT bit in the UART CR3 register */ CLEAR_BIT(huart->Instance->CR3, USART_CR3_DMAT); /* Enable the UART Transmit Complete Interrupt */ __HAL_UART_ENABLE_IT(huart, UART_IT_TC); huart->State=HAL_UART_STATE_READY; //<--- i add this line to solve the //problem } /* DMA Circular mode */ else { HAL_UART_TxCpltCallback(huart); } }Line 31 in code snippetHowever, is this a

Hi!I have two short questions regarding the dynamic SPAD selection happening on the VL53L1 sensor discussed previously here:- Is there a minimum number of SPADs after the selection? As in, by utilizing a 4x4 region, should I expect no oscillations (the ones I showed on the other post) due to the selection?- Is there a direct way to find which specific SPADs are being used after the selection? So I could use it to troubleshoot if the weird distance measurements were caused by it or other factors I didn't take into account. Thanks in advance!

I have been using GetResult method of grabbing the sensor reading.  It returns this structure: typedef struct {uint8_t Status; /*!< ResultStatus */uint16_t Distance; /*!< ResultDistance */uint16_t Ambient; /*!< ResultAmbient */uint16_t SigPerSPAD;/*!< ResultSignalPerSPAD */uint16_t NumSPADs; /*!< ResultNumSPADs */} VL53L1X_Result_t; Using this approach I noticed something I might not have noticed otherwise.  The closer the object the smaller NumSPADs becomes.  For instance,  an object right up on the sensor which will read 0 mm appears to be using only 1 SPAD.  As I move the object further away NumSPADs increases.  I would like to know if this is expected behaviour? I use the ROI 4x4 at boot time and at Ranging time so until now I didn't expect the number of SPADs to be anything else other than 4x4(=16)?

I am currently working on testing of some code using a testing tool. As nearly all of the code interacts with the hardware, it is easiest for me to do this on the target. The tool automatically builds the test environment and allows files and/or functions to be tested as a whole or in isolation. In my case, I include all of the project's files in the test builds (so the functionality is available), selecting one of them at a time for white box testing. The only real problem I have is the startup code that exists within main() - this needs to be run to set up the clock tree, initialise the HAL, etc. The testing environment renames main() and adds its own main() so that it can control how the test cases I specify are executed and to allow the results to be captured. At the moment, I have to duplicate the code in the supplied main() so that I can initialise the system before any tests are executed. This is a manual process, which means that the behaviour of this "clone" can diverge fro

Hello, I am in need of the SVD file for the newly released C071 model with USB. AFAICT they have not been posted or updated anywhere yet.I'm working in Rust which requires the SVD file for generating register accessors so I cannot do anything with the chip until they are available.

Hi all, I put together a custom bootloader for my application (to allow the program to update itself).  The bootloader itself is incredibly simple.  It just reads from a known location in flash to determine which address to load from and then attempts to boot to that address.  The main() function for that bootloader is included below (the rest of the code is auto generated minus some defines):int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ /* USER CODE END 1 */ /* MPU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ MPU_Config(); /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ /* USER CODE END Init */ /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */ /* USER CODE END SysInit */ /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 2

I want to create a program on stm32wb55 where the program broadcasts with a 15 byte payload containing the stm mac address, 4 bytes of data & 5 bytes of dataI have successfully done it on ESP32 and it can be scanned by a scanner esp32 broadcasterScan with nrf connectI want to do it on STM32 too, with the BLE_Beacon example program and choose type beacon #define CFG_BEACON_TYPE (CFG_EDDYSTONE_UID_BEACON_TYPE) but I don't understand how.. can you help me to produce the same payload as the one I created on ESP32?BLE_Beacon

(Moved from Feedback to the TouchGFX forum) Hi there TouchGFX team! How can I setup a round display and develop the UI for it? I haven't decided yet on the display but I just want to make TouchGFX can work with round displays Thanks a lot in advance

I sent a write data to LCD like display the RED background on the LCD panel. But it display like this-    this is my code part: int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ /* USER CODE END 1 */ /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ /* USER CODE END Init */ /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */ /* USER CODE END SysInit */ /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_FSMC_Init(); MX_CRC_Init(); MX_FMPI2C1_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ ST7789H2_Init(); LCD_Fill(0xF800, 0, 0, 240, 240); /* USER CODE END 2 */ /* Init scheduler */ osKernelInitialize(); /* USER CODE BEGIN RTOS_MUTEX */ /* add mutexes, ... */ /* USER CODE END RTOS_MUTEX */ /* USER CODE BEGIN RTOS_SEMAPHORES */ /* add semaphores, ... */ /*

I'm currently developing a touchpanel on a H7a3 in which i use a swipecontainer on the main page.In this swipecontainer are multiple buttons with each time a svg image on it. On scrolling this, the srolling is very shaky and slow. Measuring reveals that the rendertime is more then 75ms.Replacing the svg images with regular bitmaps solved the issue. Now is my question, why are apparently the svg images rendered every time the swipecontainer moves? One would expect that this is only a shift of a memory zone so should only be a copy action?  many thanks in advance

Dear Community members,In an SPC582b-discovery example code, i modified configuration to set over voltage threshold 3.4 v. While all the cells in stack is over than 3.4 but the Fault pin in board is not being high.  Regards, bitBuddy

Dear Community member, I am going through example code given in Autodevkit for SPC5 mcu with AEK-POW-BMS63EN ic.Here I am unable to find at what voltage differences between cells, balancing is being enable ?during execution, as seen watch view balancing is being halted for some time while the voltage is still high compare to other cells ?  Regards, bitBuddy

Hi there Touchgfx team! I have a header that contains a textarea "date" acrros different screens. The idea is that the model reads the "date" from the backend RTC and expose the get/set methods, for all screens to read it.I created this in my model:  const char* get_date() const { return date; } const char *date = "MON 01 / 01:23 AM"; I can confirm the "date" arrives correctly to other screens by using touchgfx_printf. The problem is that once I try to update the textarea wildcard it appears as a "?" in the real screen. The ranges wildcards are ok. Also, since this date its not const, I think I will need a string but I'm not sure how to implement it on Touchgfx.  Thanks a lot in advance

In application we are using MCU part no STM32G0KCIU6 of LQFP32 / UFQFPN32 - GP package, can external oscillator of frequency 16MHz (Example: Part no ASEMB-16.000MHZ-LY-T) can be connected to pin no 2 which is dedicated for LSE clock frequency 32KHz. As per datasheet Pin assignment and description list Pin No 2 of MCU has additional options to configure as OSC_IN whether this pin can be configured for HSE requirement? Can external oscillator of frequency 16MHz can be connected to this Pin?

Hello,I am working on device USBX cdc acm with stm32h573i-dk. I am progressing my work from the example in the attachment below. After creating the project as in this example, I ran the software and no Com Port appeared on my computer. Also no error_handler is generated and scheduler is working correctly.I am waiting for your help on where the error is.Best Regards. https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-implement-the-usb-device-cdc-vcom-in-stm32-using-the/ta-p/599170

How can I achieve optimal range for LoRa node-to-node communication? I'm using the RFM95 module at a frequency of 932 MHz but experiencing very poor range—data transmission cuts out at only 4 feet. I have a compatible antenna, which is properly soldered as well.

We have to been trying to establish serial communication between our motor and controller. For that we are referring the document attached in the mail. We are using the mc workbench version 6.3.0 .  When we connect and control motor from motor pilot it works fine , but when we try some other serial communication software ( like real term , Hercules) then we are unable to run the motor even though we are sending the same hex code. This is the command motor pilot sends for starting the motor, and in this case motor starts correctly. We are sending the same command through other serial communication software (like real term)  but motor is not starting. Please look into the problem . Looking forward to your response .

Hi Team, we are using the STM32H753VI in our design.we are not using the USB interfaces. In this case, what is the termination to be done to the VDD33USB pin of STM whether it can be NC, GND? ThanksManikandan R
