Hello Everyone,I have a STM32H755 MCU connected to an external ADC via SPI in half duplex. I'd like to read ADC value at 2KHz. Ideally I'd like to avoid to interrupt the CPU 2K times per second to read ADC values, as a consequence I'm looking for a way to trigger SPI reading without CPU intervention. Is it possible ?Please note, my MCU is master on the SPI. Regards,

Is it possible to move and/or to copy/paste pin configurations from one pin to another? If yes, how?If not - feature suggestion!

Hello, I am having issues in the IDE, with making the application transition screens. What I've noticed is that even though the goToScreenX function for specific screens is declared in the FrontEndApplicationBase.cpp, it hard faults if the screen transition function isn't already called somewhere in TouchGFXC.For example, if I want to go to PageA, and PageA has no screens currently going to it, and I type application().goToPageAScreenNoTransition(), it would error. But if I already had pageB -> pageA using a interaction+button in TouchGFX, then application().goToPageAScreenNoTransition(), would be valid from any other page.

In the function:HAL_RTCEx_DisableBypassShadow()There is a cast to uint8_t in the line that resets the bithrtc->Instance->CR &= ((uint8_t)~RTC_CR_BYPSHAD);This causes the upper 24 bits of this configuration register to be cleared to 0s when called. Everywhere else I looked in the HAL RTC code when resetting bits in this register it is using a (uint32_t) cast. This was found in the library:STM32Cube_FW_L4_V1.7.0as well asSTM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.21.0

Hello,I'm trying out both the DMAs on the STM32H7S3L8. I am trying to keep it as simple as possible, so I am not using linked list mode (I think. CxLLR is 0). When using HPDMA, I get a Data Transfer Error when trying to copy from SRAM1 to DTCM. The datasheet says the following:Specifically, note that it seems to suggest it is possible for HPDMA to access CPU TCM, which I assume to be/include DTCM.My code is mostly baremetal and difficult for me to condense into a simple example (though I will try to do so needed). The following are the highlights which might be useful :I am using HPDMA1 Channel 0 in privileged mode in the Boot domain. I do not have an application domainI am attempting to copy 0x100 bytes from SRAM (at 0x240002b4) to DTCM (at 0x2000002c)I am using a burst length of 8 on both the src and dest, with width of 1 word (0b10) on both. Both SINC and DINC are enabled. No repeats configured, no offsets configured, none of the increments are set to negative. No linked list is used.

This is very easy to reproduce:- Create a new STM32 project using a PD-compatible MCU e.g. STM32G071CBT6 - Enable both UCPD1 and UCPD2 as dual-role ports. Add DMA for Rx/Tx for each port.- Enable FreeRTOS- Enable USBPD with default port configuration "Port 0: UCPD1; Port 1: UCPD2", "Full stack", TIM1- Looking at the "Configuration" window only Port 1 is configurable (see attached)

Hello;I'm writing a driver for a tlv493d magnetic encoder using CubeIDE. This encoder has a peculiarity where it pulls the SCL line of an i2c bus low when it has data ready to be read, at which point the MCU needs to initiate an i2c receive transaction to clear the interrupt and read the data. Obviously we don't want the SCL clock pulses to trigger further interrupts, so I think I need to 'do something' to accommodate that. I'm struggling to understand what that 'something' is for this MCU, and how to configure it in this setup. So far, I have configured my i2c1 bus using cubeMX, and can successfully initially communicate with the TLV (to configure registers after a reset). Then, I try to reconfigure the pin as GPIO-exti to receive the interrupt, but this seems to 'break' its connection to i2c. And I'm wondering if this - switching the pin's function back and forth between i2c and gpio-exti - is what I should ideally be doing. My question: is it possible for a pin to be configured t

Good afternoon,I want to upload a Machine Learning algorithm on the ISPU part of the LSM6DSO16IS. My alghoritm has to identify is the subject is stationary, walking or running. I used NanoEdgeAI Studio to develop the classification algorithm. By doing this I obtain these files, but don't the .ucf file, which is the file that I have to upload on the ISPU part of the sensor. By uploading this files on the Nucleo, it performs the classification correctly, but I want the classification to be done by the sensor. Which is the easyest way to obtain it starting from the files that I obtained?

Is it possible to use the ADC peripheral of STM32H723 in dual regular simultaneous mode (ADC1+ADC2) with oversampling?

I am working with an STM32U585 microcontroller, and I need to perform read, write, and erase operations on the internal flash memory (Bank 1) with TrustZone security enabled. The page size is 8 KB, and I am encountering an issue when trying to write data.Problem Overview:When attempting to write data to flash without erasing, the write operation fails. If I erase the entire 8 KB page and then write, the operation is successful. However, my requirement is to write smaller amounts of data (e.g. 4 bytes) without erasing the remaining (8 KB - 4 bytes) bytes of the page. I only need to erase the specific location that will be written to, not the whole page, to avoid erasing other data within the same page.Current Findings:The flash memory only allows erasing entire pages, so when I need to erase a small portion, it results in the entire 8 KB page being erased, which is not ideal for my use case.Questions:Is there any way to perform a partial erase in STM32U585 internal flash, specificall

Hi I am having some trouble regarding using actions and triggers. I've been following the Tutorial 5 from the support website to use them, but I could use some suggestions regarding my situation.I have a container which is a button which appears 4 times on 1 screen.I want the container, when clicked to emit a value to the screen. When I try to emit a value of my choosing . What are my options as to what I can emit? I don't mean data types, but I mean data. Earlier when I tried to emit a variable from the model.cpp, it said it cannot emit that because the variable is not apart of the containers generated base code. Is this true, that only data found in the base file of the container can be emitted?

Hi,MCU -stm32h743I have noticed that some RAMECC1 registers have a non-zero value on reset which is against the information given in the datasheet. For example, see the snapshot below:This is when the control is at the starting of main(). As per table 12 in RM0433, this registers should be 0x00 on reset. Could you please let me know why is this so ?NOTE: RAMECC2 and RAMECC3 have all the registers with value 0x00I also have the same RAMECC issue explained here:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/itcm-and-dtcm-ram-ecc-monitors-triggering-hal-ramecc/td-p/722793 @CMYL @Bubbles

Hello everyone, I present my problem.I am doing a simple project with Touch GFX on my Discovery STM32H7S78-DK. My main goal is to display images (the ones provided by touchGFX) in RGB888.I created the project and moved to CubeMX to view the .ioc file and change the various fields the RGB format from 565 to 888. I changed both on the LTDC and pixel format tab and automatically in Middleware->TouchGFX the change was taken. So far so good.Filling in the automatically generated code, without any personal additions, and after regenerating the code with TouchGFX I get the following error:undefined reference to `touchgfx::paint::rgb888::lineFromColor(unsigned char*, unsigned int, unsigned long, unsigned char)'Which I fix by following the following link : https://support.touchgfx.com/4.20/docs/miscellaneous/known-issues.Fixed this I compile the code, load the firmware on my dk but the screen appears black (Backlight On but totally black).Debugging and hitting the pause button the program is

Hi,I´ve to start a project (with FreeRTOS) where several code has to be implemented which is not directly related to the GUI (some state machines, control algorithms, ...).I´m not sure, if I should implement this code parts as usual in my FreeRTOS and exchange only GUI data with the model, or if I should implement also my non GUI related code in the model? Best regards,Achim

Hello I am working with an ST magnetometer sensor to detect movement along the X-axis. I have a custom board featuring an L4 microcontroller, which enters STOP MODE 2 until an interrupt is triggered. I use the following function to initialize the sensor for this mode, after which the device goes to sleep. When the magnetic data exceeds a specified threshold, the magnetometer generates an interrupt and the device wakes up. However, I am facing a challenge regarding maintaining the device's proper functionality when exposed to temperature variations. The interrupt generation is based on raw magnetic data returned by the function lis2mdl_magnetic_raw_get(). I am aware that the temperature fluctuations, such as reaching 50 C, can distort the magnetic readings, potentially causing inaccuracies. The magnetometer will require calibration, but my question is how to apply the calibrated values in the system?   Currently, my approach is to keep the device in sleep mode and wake it up o

I'm curios about this. I made a project with TouchGFX on the board F476G Discovery and I want to export the same project in a similar board like H750B DK. Is there a way to do this? Or I have to do the project from the start? Thanks

Hi,For a project I am currently working on, we have a unique custom board model on which we can flash different targets of a a same program.Depending on the target, we can work with one of two different displays, a 240x320 and a 160x80.For now, we two project TouchGFX, one for each display.I understood that it not possible for TouchGFX Designer to handle several physical displays. Is it still the case ?If so, is there a way to get around it ?S. Marie

Hello everyone.I am following this project: https://github.com/viktorvano/STM32-Bootloader to create my own bootloader in a STM32H7, unfortunately the dual core of this device make the memory location a little bit tricky, is there any open project for bootloader on this device?Best regardsAlan Blumenstein

Hi,We notice the startup time from power up can be affected by setting one GPIOB pin to input. The startup time here refers to the time from SystemInit() until main(). Basically it contains scatterload and __rt_entry to my understanding.Specifically, the sample code below, built with ARM Compiler 6.16 Tool, would demonstrate that#define MEASURE_PIN 5 int main(void) { IO_SET_PIN(GPIOA, MEASURE_PIN, 1); // Enable IWDG IWDG->KR = 0xCCCC; // Enable write access IWDG->KR = 0x5555; // Set prescaler IWDG->PR = 0; // Set reload IWDG->RLR = 1; // Wait for the registers reload while (IWDG->SR) { } // refresh the watchdog. IWDG->KR = 0xAAAA; while(1); return 0; } void SystemInit(void) { // enable GPIOA clock RCC->IOPENR |= RCC_IOPENR_GPIOAEN | RCC_IOPENR_GPIOBEN; // set GPIOA pin5 to output IO_SET_PIN_DIR(GPIOA, MEASURE_PIN, 1); // set GPIOA pin5 to low IO_SET_PIN(GPIOA, MEASURE_PIN, 0); // Set GPIOB pin7 to input // GPIOB->MOD

I notice that on the NUCLEO-H753ZI board schematic and BOM, the load capacitors are not populated for X2. My thought is that these caps must exist elsewhere, either built into the crystal, or integrated into the STM32H743.. But I do not see any mention of integrated capacitors for either the microcontroller or the NX3215SA crystal datasheets. How can this work? NUCLEO-H753ZI - STM32 Nucleo-144 development board with STM32H753ZI MCU, supports Arduino, ST Zio and morpho connectivity - STMicroelectronics

Hello everyone,I am currently working with the ST25R3916B chip to use it as a reader for an ST25DV64KC tag. My objective is to interface with an NFC-V tag following the ISO 15693 standard. To achieve this, I am developing custom code by referring to the examples provided by ST and consulting the datasheet. While someone suggested using the ST examples directly, I need a custom solution for my application. So far, I have implemented all the initialization functions by closely following the "NFC08A1_PollingTagDetect" example, specifically the demoIni( ) function. Now, I am working on the application side and have been analyzing the demoCycle( ) function in detail, but I am encountering some challenges. As my focus is on NFC-V tags, I have dived deeper into functions like demoNfcv. While I understand its overall structure and purpose, I feel like I am missing some key details. For example, I am unclear about what happens between the initialization phase and the execution of demoNfcv (where t

Hello,I am using a STM32WB5MMG on a custom board for a BLE application. I started the project with the Client profile. The application is able to scan and receive advertisement frames. I use a MAC filter to select on peripheral and try to connect to it. As soon as I try to connect to the server with the function aci_gap_create_connection, the program enters an infinite loop inside hci_cmd_resp_wait. The response of this particular HCI command is never received.I don't think it is related to bad parameter value such connection interval because I already faced this issue and in this case the function aci_gap_create_connection was returning an accurate error code.RTC is on LSE, wakeup is activated, IPCC interrupts are enabled, RFWKP is on LSE.As suggested in another post, I monitore the SR flash register and SRAM2A first register to see if CPU2 entered Hardfault but it does not seem to.I changed a bit hci_cmd_resp_wait and hci_cmd_resp_release to provide a timeout in case no reply is ever

Dear Sir/Madam,I am trying to deploy a trained AI model (CNN+LSTM) to STM32F767. When I tried to analyse the TFlite file with the STM32CubeMX, it stopped and gave the following message: Could you please help me sorting out this issue? Thanks QS

I want to create a project with the Motor Control library using CubeMX. However, The Motor Control library is not registered as a software package in CubeMX, Now. Refering some application note, it says to use CubeMX's X-CUBE-MCSDK, but this software package is not available in CubeMX. I wonder if the X-CUBE-MCSDK software package will be available again in the future.
