The generated code for the CM7 core, file main.c includes "cmsis_os.h", this should include "cmsis_os2." instead because of the V2 interface. The correct file "cmsis_os2.h" is in the Middlewares/Third_Party/FreeRTOS/Source/CMSIS_RTOS_V2 directory, the project needs to have that directory added and the CMSIS_RTOS (without _V2) can be removed from the project search path. My compiler is IAR if that makes a difference, MCU and Firmware package is STM32Cube_FW_H7 V1.9.0

Hi all,Very new to STM32, day 2 now, managed to get some UART output and call into C++.However when I try to use standard C++11 threads I get this error "'mutex' in namespace 'std' does not name a type". I believe this is bc arm-none-eabi-g++ is configured with --disable-threads (checked with "arm-none-eabi_g++ -v").Any way to get (standard) threading support? Should I try to rebuild the toolchain with --enable-threads?

Hello,I want to execute code located in external 16bit NOR FLASH e.g. on a STM32H7x3 evaluation board.I can run the NOR FLASH demo (erase, write, read flash) successfully but have no clue how to create and flash code. After googling 2 days I found plenty of examples for xSPI but none seems to suit this kind of flash type. Can somebody point me into the right direction e.g. how to configure the linker script and flash the code using the debugger or Cube Programmer. Any example code or ANs?Thank you

Hello,I've found an issue in STM32CubeIDE1.17.0.When creating a project with USB Device used as a CDC Class and FreeRTOS an include is missing in app_freertos.c:#include "usb_device.h"The project runs properly, but a warning is issued at compile time:implicit declaration of function 'MX_USB_Device_Init' [-Wimplicit-function-declaration] app_freertos.c /STM32G473CCU_FAN_CONTROLLER/Core/Src line 117 C/C++ ProblemAs far as I remember, this issue was present in previous versions of STM32CubeIDE.On the other side I don't remember having encountered this issue when using USB Host MSC class with FreeRTOS in projects targetting the STM32F429

HI,I am using x-stm32mp-gnss2 evaluation board and interfaced with the host PC through UART to USB converter for utilizing the TaseoSuitePro7_3_3_1 Software.I want to analyze PVT solution using independent satellite signals such as GPS only, NavIC only, BeiDOU only, and combination. I am not able to get any command for this.Request to help to fix this problem.

Hello,I'm trying to get SPI to receive data from an ADC in a periodic interval, and must not use interrupts, as the whole application is already pushing the upper limit of what the MCU can handle. The code below is just a rough test, adapted from what I found in another thread in this forum. However, I still can't get it to work. Timer runs, DMA and DMAMUX seem to get configured, but nothing happens on the SPI CLK. Any ideas? void acq_configure_adc_transfer() { uint32_t circular_buffer[10]; __HAL_RCC_DMAMUX1_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_DMA1_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_SPI1_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_TIM1_CLK_ENABLE(); DMA1_Channel1->CCR = 0x0; //Disable DMA stream DMA1_Channel1->CPAR = (uint32_t)&SPI1->DR; //Set source memory region DMA1_Channel1->CMAR = (uint32_t)&circular_buffer; //Set peripheral data register as destination DMA1_Channel1->CNDTR = sizeof(circular_buffer) ; //Number of items to transfer //NVIC_EnableIRQ(DMA1_Channel2_IRQn); //Enab

Hi,   STM407G DISC-1 STMCubeIDEWhen I configure PA6 pin as an input with pull-down. In a floating state, I still measure approximately 2.8V.Do I have to use an external pull-down to make it near to zero?

Hi all,I have had an issue out the box where if i run the Nucleo-H723ZG Uart3 for debugging would stop communicating correctly, i tracked the issue down to the buad rate set incorrectly, after a few hours of adjustments i found that if the prescaler for D2PPRE1 are set to anything other than 1 the buad rate would be incorrect. After stepping thought the code if found that on uart setup the incorrect pclk would be provided which inturn set the incorrect dividers for the uart. I have fixed the issue by editing the lookup table D1CorePrescTableThe IC how runs at 550mhz and the uart and other peripherals are running correctly. I have checked the date sheet and all the registers, mask and positions are correct. What is the correct fix for this?

Dear Community, using the STEVAL-ILL089V1 board we would like to power a string of 12 LEDs (Cree XLamp Element G LED Data sheet) and use the PWM dimming function. While the respective raising and falling DIM treshold voltages are clearly stated in the ALED6000 datasheet, I am not sure about the practicable PWM input frequency and resolution. As I am not that experienced in the electronics field yet, I would highly appreciate if you could give me recommendations for the PWM input frequency and practicable resolution (minimal increment / step size). Thanks in advance and best regards,Ingmar

I'm using STM32CubeIDE to configure UCPD1 on STM32G0B1KET6N.  My firmware package is FW_G0 V1.6.2I enable DMA: UCPD1_RX = DMA2 Channel 1, UCPD1_TX = DMA2 Channel 2The generated code in MX_UCPD1_Init can't compile because the DMA init code is bad.  The section labelled /* UCPD1_RX Init */ should start with this:LL_DMA_SetPeriphRequest(DMA2, LL_DMA_CHANNEL_1, LL_DMAMUX_REQ_UCPD1_RX);... but it actually starts with this:LL_DMA_SetPeriphRequest(DMA2_Channel1, DMA2_Channel1, LL_DMAMUX_REQ_UCPD1_RX);Compare the first two parameters.  Luckily, the compiler chokes on this and it's obvious how to fix it.  There are 8 lines with this bug for the RX DMA, and 8 lines for the TX DMA.I don't know if my other UCPD settings influence the bug:UCPD mode = sinkDead battery enabledUSB/UCPD1 interrupt enabledDMA1 4-7 / DMA2 1-5 / DMAMUX1 interrupt enabledPins PB15, PA8, PA9, PA10 are all configured for their UCPD1 functions.

Hello, Now I'm testing a systick work on STM32L0538-DISCO. The aim in my project is to make 100Hz, 10Hz, 6Hz, 5Hz, 2Hz and 1Hz systick functions. In the project, 100Hz, 10Hz, 6Hz and 5Hz systick functions worked, but 2Hz and 1Hz systick functions didn't work. In my main.c code, 10Hz systick driver ( deci_sec_systick_Driver()) could drive 5Hz systick driver (vigesimal_sec_systick_Driver()) but couldn't drive 2Hz systick driver (demi_sec_systick_Driver()). I found by debugging that a local static variable (demi_sec_systick_count) reached to 4 but it was reset before reaching 5. Of course there are nowhere the local static variable is cleared but didn't reach to 5 it's really incredible phenomenon. Are there someone who experienced like this? If you know the cause and how to fix it tell me about it. as reference I'll attach the project. Thanks,   // 10 Hz systick driver static void deci_sec_systick_Driver() { static uint32_t vigesimal_systick_count = 0; static uint32_t demi

When runnung the ADC in continuous mode, does the ADC clear the sampling cap after each read? Or does the ADC go into it's next read with the sampling cap still charged up to whatever the previous level was. Thus, potentially putting some slight amount of voltage out into the circuit if the circuits voltage happened to be lower?

Hi, STM32F405 Microcontroller(Package: LQFP64) does not have Vref pins, Can we select any alternate pins as Vref pins. Please Suggest.

Installed CubeIDE. I set the workspace folder to the one that contains my projects. CubeIDE says "there are no projects in your workspace".How can I make the newly installed CubeIDE see the projects that are in the workspace folder?

hi everyone,I cant see usage of MCI_SetCalibratedOffsetsMotor or MC_SetPolarizationOffsetsMotor1 in example project, but code comment says use at least one time in product life. Has this been used before? or  "MCI_StartOffsetMeasurments". does anyone have  code example from scratch for  commissioning a motor.

Hello,I'm using the __date__/__time__ macros. Their values are only updated if the file using them is re-compiled. Cleaning up before building forces the values to be updated, but this is not feasible on bigger projects. Is there a way to tell CubeIDE that a specific file always has to be rebuild? I only found solutions for makefiles, but CubeIDE is not using makefiles.Regards

Hello,STM32CubedIDE, STM407G DISC1 BOARD     I am trying to trigger an external interrupt by using a button connected to PA1 pin. My configurations are below;  1-) I enabled 7.bit in NVIC_ISER register.   IRQN_EXTI0 is enabled  2-) I enabled  GPIOAEN  in RCC register.    GPIOA  clock is enabled.  3-)  I wrote  '1' into the  TR1 in EXTI> RTRS register for RISING EDGE.   4-)  I enabled SYSCFG clock.  5-)  Although the reset value is already '0'(which is corresponding to A Port)          for  SYSCFG_EXTICR1> EXTI1, I wrote '0' again for Port A and pin 1(EXTI1)   6-) I set EXTI>IMR> MR1 bit in the register for not masking the line 1( due to being 1.pin )   7-) Other pin configurations are, Pull-Down, High-Speed and Push-Pull for OTYPEI succeed in making it work for PA0 and PB0 external interrupts individua

Hi,I am using the VL53l8 sensor. i need to change the ranging frequency. im using the Xcube tof code. I see in the app tof code that #define RANGING_FREQUENCY (10U). so if i change 10u to 15. Willi get ranging frequency to 15 hz.? Thank u

Hi folks.Trying to put some debug info on MCU startup using SWO. I'm using pure CMSIS with 'STM32CubeF4 CMSIS Device MCU Component' and Arm GNU toolchain. I want to print some device info including ROM and RAM size.ROM size was easily obtained from stm32f411xe.h as difference between FLASH_END and FLASH_BASE.But RAM seems to be a different thing. While SRAM1_BASE is defined in the mentioned header file, the SRAM_END is somehow missing.I was poking around searching for other way to get the SRAM END address and came across the linker file heaving _estack calculated as SRAM origin + length where both defined in linker file:_estack = ORIGIN(RAM) + LENGTH(RAM); /* end of "RAM" Ram type memory */ MEMORY { FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x8000000, LENGTH = 512K RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 128K }Since origin is also defined in stm32f411xe.h as SRAM_BASE, I can easily calculated the desired RAM size: extern uint32_t _estack; tick_log("MCU: SMT32F411CEU6, having %dK FLASH, %dK SRAM, runnin

Hi everyone,I've designed a custom board using the STM32MP157. Rather than using an ST-Link, I'm planning to flash the code using DFU mode. To do this, I've installed STM32CubeProgrammer on my PC and connected the USB cable to the board. However, CubeProgrammer isn't detecting the STM32MP157, even though I've configured the BOOT pins for DFU mode.I'm wondering if I'm missing something. Can anyone guide on this issue?

Hello,i tired to download the software pack to evaluate board EVLIOL4LSV1but the link does not contain a zip, just a view pdfs,no mather if in logged in or notSTSW-IOL4LSV1 - Software pack for EVLIOL4LSV1, IO-Link actuator for industrial tower light - STMicroelectronics.can somebody help me out?regards and thanks,Matthias

Hello,Can someone please provide a working download file for "STM32Cube function pack for STEVAL-PROTEUS1 sensor datalog and file transfer over BLE and USB"?The ZIP-File Version 1.1.0 is corrupt. It cannot be extracted neither on Windows, Linux or Mac.To be honest it's possible to extract under Linux. But the archive just contains 82 files instead of 2408 files like in Version 1.0.0.Thank you.

Hi all, The goal is to read an external Flash memory connected to XSPI in Single-Mode. In the future, I will configure as memory-mapped, to see it as an extension memory of the MCU. I have already set up the XSPI peripherals with hdmarx and hdmatx channel configured correctly. Now I have a problem when trying to read more than 32 bytes in a cycle. The DMA peripheral is aligned to 4 bytes wide.I have seen that HAL_XSPI_FLAG_TE is set, then HAL_XSPI_ErrorCallback() is triggered.Just to be sure, I read this in the reference manual. It seems to be used only when XSPI FIFO is used to transfer data... but in my case I am using DMA transfer. Here are the steps I just took to read the bytes from an external FLASH memory. #define CHUNK_SIZE 64U // Chunk size for each transfer int QSPI_Read(FLASH_S25FL_t* _ctx) { uint8_t buffer[256] = {0xFF}; // Example buffer uint32_t totalBytes = sizeof(buffer); // Total bytes to transfer uint32_t offset = 0; // Offset for each chunk

Hello,I am new to programming STM MCUs and currently working with an STM32H745I-DISCO board.I am trying to implement a simple blink project. In CubeMX, I created a new project and configured pin PJ2 as an output push-pull. Then, in the Project Manager tab, I selected the Toolchain/IDE: STM32CubeIDE.However, when I generate code and open the project, I can’t see any lines of code configuring the PJ2 pin.I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or if there’s a bug in the software. I’ve spent several days trying to figure out how to set up a simple blink project. Could someone please provide any clues or guidance?Thank you in advance.

Hello, I'm using a STM32U5GJ-DK1 with the same SPI setup, I can measure the SCK output on SPI2, but I can't do it on SPI3.   *This post has been translated from Chinese to comply with the ST Community guidelines.
