I would like to know, in the Stellar SR6G7, whether the BCS code will execute first or if we can configure a custom Boot Manager to execute first. Since I need to run secure boot with HSM, I want to configure the Boot Manager for PLL clock initialization and run the HSM first. Then, the BCS will execute the handshake with the HSM. Is this possible in the SR6G7, or will the BCS handle initialization and perform the handshake with the HSM during startup before any custom Boot manager?

Hello! Can you tell me the reasons and meaning of the necessity of grounding the center of the ST25R3916 antenna loop?In X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 the jumper between the center of the antenna loop and ground is closed, but in ST25R3916 Discovery Board it is open.Best regards, Rob.

Hi everyone, In my company, we are currently working on the IOT solution that implements ST4SIM-200M module on our PCB. To shorten things up, we are using SIMCOM modem with the psychical SIM card and it's working ok as we expected. Our next step was to implement eSIM so we practically replaced the psychical SIM card with the ST4SIM-200M module. Out of the box, after activating default 50Mb profile on Truphone portal, network is started and working ok.  So, the next step for us was to be able to add some more profile to the eSIM module and SIMCOM provided us with some AT commands to manage/manipulate these profiles on the eSIM module. For example, we acquired the local provider QR code with the eSIM profile and activation code for our mobile data plan, but somehow we are not able to do this. Is there an support or some manual/tutorial for the ST4SIM-200M where this profile management procedure is shown or this cannot be done in this way at all.Sorry, t

Hello!I need to implement a task in FreeRTOS for my project that makes GET, POST, and PATCH requests to a server. So far, I have managed to send a UDP message to a specific port on a PC thanks to the following post:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-create-a-project-for-stm32h7-with-ethernet-and-lwip-stack/ta-p/49308 Now, I would like to implement the task to send the requests. I have searched the forum but haven't found a clear conclusion. What catches my attention is that in the project I created with STM32CubeMX, there is the file http_client.h in Middleware -> Third_Party -> LwIP -> src -> include -> apps, but I can't find the http_client.c file with the functions.I have found in the following link (https://github.com/yarrick/lwip/blob/master/src/apps/http/http_client.c) I have copy the http folder in  Middleware -> Third_Party -> LwIP -> src -> apps. And I have tried with the following code: void http_get_task(void const *pvParam

I get this error when trying to using the BLE_heartrate example for the nucleo-WB09KE. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the IDE.

Hi,I am learning the CAN communication based on register programming. For now, I dont have anything complicated on my mind, dont have any filters or queues set up for CAN packets, my goal is to start a simple data transfer via CAN between my STM32 and ESP32 acting just as a dummy echo transceiver. I wrote code aiming for 1 Mbps speed (its not crucial, but 1 mbps should not be a problem even on a breadboard), 11 bit identifier, 1 byte data length, no crc, I am using TJA1050 as transceivers for both ESP and STM. My CAN_Setup function is verified with the debugger, it does exactly what its asked for (in terms of bit manipulation). However, problems occur when I try to transmit a byte of data in the CAN_transmit function. Some actual data is generated on the TX line, but its completely wrong (thats not the main problem considering its only development phase.) I can not write any data to the TIR, TDTR and TDLR register (but the mailbox itself is free, its not in the pending state). When I r

Hello everyone,I have been flashing the code written in AutDevKit Studio 2.4.0 using UDE STK 2021 for the AEK-AUD-C1D9031, which uses the SPC582B60E1 MCU. I want to start debugging the code line by line using breakpoints.Currently, I have the option to add breakpoints in AutDevKit Studio, but it is of no use since I am flashing the code with UDE STK 2021.Could someone guide me on how to add breakpoints in UDE STK 2021? Also, how can I add variables to the watch window?I referred to the manual I attached but couldn’t figure out the exact steps to add breakpoints or watch variables in the program shown in UDE STK 2021.

I have developed as much as I can using a stm32F746G-disco.   Now I need to make a custom board. I need to be able to allow for firmware updates on the custom board.  I will use st-link for most of my development, but would like to leave that it off the board.   What do you suggest to use as a means to be able to update the firmware in a final product.   I do not have a need for USB OTG in my project, but maybe use it just for updates?Micro Sd, USB OTG FS or HS?  Something else? I appreciate any suggestions!

I have SPC58NH-DISP board for my application development. I am trying to program the board using SPC5Studion but I am unable to do it. For me "Execute and Debug Your application" task is disable even if in SPC5Studio UDE plugin is installed. UDE plug in is installed by using this link : "SPC5tools - http://spc5tools.spc5studio.com"". NOTE: Board is connected and power supplied.

We designed a buck converter with (300-800) input DC voltage and the output voltage is 24V.  The max load current is 150mA.  We noticed two issues here:1. The device fails when we try to measure VDD pin voltage with reference to Power Ground (DC input ground).  Though the VDD voltage is with reference to device ground (pins 1,2,3,4,6), but why it should fail when we use power ground as a reference with a Digital Multimeter.  This has happened thrice and in all the cases, the device failed silently (no sounds, no physical damage etc.,).  All this happened at 150V DC input voltage itself.2. In the second case, the device failed at 800V DC input when we tried to connect 100mA resistive load.  No probe is connected anywhere in the circuit.  However, we used the same compensation network as given in ST AN 5380 (15V, 1.5W buck converter and could not arrive at the values for 24V output voltage.  If the compensation network is a problem, can someone ple

I have a project that uses the nBOOT pin for GPIO output and cannot pull it in any direction during POR.  Therefore, the nSWBOOT0 bit needs to be programmed to 0 (its default is 1) before the code will function properly. What is the recommended practice for programming option bits in a production environment?I can't rely on, e.g., someone digging through menus in CubeProgrammer for each unit.I could have my code test for the proper bits at startup and program them if needed (the accepted answer to this similar question), but that does not strike me as an ideal solution because:It's wasteful (permanent code in the firmware that only operates once in the device's lifetime)With nBOOT floating at boot, device behavior is unpredictable before nSWBOOT0 is programmedIs there perhaps some sort of automation available in CubeProgrammer that would require minimal user interaction?

Howdy,I am working with the STM32U575 and wanting to use the lower power capabilities of the ADF. The problem is that, for me to get the use I am looking for out of the ADF, I need to operate it constantly at 4 MHz. For this reason, I want to maintain the HSE when the system enters stop mode 2. I know that this is not directly supported, but I was wondering if there is a way to do this anyway. I was also thinking that it could be possible to disable all the peripherals manually in a similar way as stop mode 2 and put the system in sleep mode. My one hesitation for this method is that I would need to dedicate so much time to finding every peripheral's interrupt register and disabling them. Any suggestions on how I should handle this would be much appreciated. Hope you all have a wonderful day. :)

Hello, I'm using STM32H503RBT and trying to configure a DMA transfer from memory to the HASH engine, but even though I have that peripheral configured as show on the picture below, I can't assign it as the request source for the DMA is grayed out and when I hover my mouse over it a pop-up appear's saying "IP has to be configured". I tried creating a second project with the same MCU and had the same problem, although interestingly that's not a problem on the CBT variant (48 instead of 64 pin package). Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? I'm using version 1.17.0 on Windows.

Greetings,I've got a simple application wherein I'm exchanging ISO-DEP data using RFAL on a ST25R3916.  I'm only interested in handling the data read from the card once (of course) and then only process read-data again from either a new card OR the same card again *if* the card has been removed and re-presented (i.e. the card re-appears with a new UID).  I fully expected that the rfal state machine would have a "disconnected" (or equivalent) state, or, at least, would auto-deactivate which would be observable via a notification (i.e. within the discParam.notifyCb).  This does not appear to be the case.My working (and feels dirty) solution is, once read, throw in a vTaskDelay (freeRTOS) so lower priority tasks can run while waiting on the card presenter to leave, and keep reading the tag (but ignore the data) till I get a read error.  Once I get a read error, I know the next tag is a "new" one, so I can deactivate and re-enter discovery.Given my desires to stay

I've been implementing Wake Up mode with inductive wakeup on the ST25R3916 with custom firmware. It's all functioning as expected, except for the oscillator interrupt. As seen in the logs below, when I switch to Wake Up mode, I mask every IRQ except I_WAM and I_WPH. Just to be safe, I added a readout. The Wake Up timer is configured to take a measurement every 100ms. But every 100ms, it sends an I_OSC interrupt when it switches to Ready to take amplitude and phase measurements. Why would this occur? Is there something beyond just M_OSC being set that I need to do?

Hi,We are encountering a problem with an STM32WB55-based Zigbee router we have developed, where, in some cases, the Zigbee end device connected via the router becomes unreachable for requests sent from the coordinator.Specifically, when the STM32WB55 acts as a Zigbee Router, a network configuration can be reached where it does not send a RREC command on behalf of its end-device child. The problem manifests itself if the end-device child changes parents at some point after joining, with the STM32WB55 device being the new parent. If the Coordinator needs to send a packet to the end device, it does not have an up-to-date route and sends packets to the original parent router instead. We initially contacted Exegin, our coordinator Zigbee stack supplier, for support. They helped identify the root cause and confirmed that the STM32WB55-based Zigbee router does not send Route Records to the coordinator, causing the end device to become unreachable after a parent change to the STM32WB55 router.W

Hi,I am using a STM32U5G9VJT6Q on a custom PCB with a custom DSI round display and QSPI NOR Flash (MT25QL128ABA1EW9-0SIT) holding the graphics.Below are the screenshots for the configuration of the various modules. But when I tried configuring the FMC but it is greyed out. How do I enable it?Is there a step-by-step video to setup MIPI-DSI with custom board and custom display? I have been looking but didn't find any.If not a video at least some step-by-step guide?Thank you

To perform the demos, the ST25 Android app is asking me to upgrade the firmware by PC and telling it can't be done by the Android Application, but when I open the ST25PC-NFC software, it doesn't detect the reader and hence can't upgrade the firmware. I have connected using both STLink USB(MicroUSB) and MCU USB(MiniUSB) but both of them don't work. Is there any other way to upgrade the firmware using STM32CubeProgrammer as I am able to connect using the STLink USB, and I also have the binary file for upgrade?

Hello everybody. I asking now for some help on my new project. On my stm32 u575zit-q i want send some bits, as master, on the FPGA EP2C5T144C8N as slave. This FPGA board is very simple (have no other peripherals on it). So i want send by means SPI, four bits in one pin of the FPGA. I know how write code for the SPI in stm32 using MOSI, CS, but now i am focused on SCK (serial clock) that the FPGA need to use for read some bit. I tried to found some on the web but i didnt. Have some one things to help me? On CUBE IDE i see the baude rate (Mbits/s for example set to 1 Mbit/s), but what aboout the SCK that the stm32 board transmit on the SPI pin? I have one idea of how i can implement and i share this with you: on CUBE IDE, if i knew the sck frequency, then i can set some check on my FPGA for read on the rising edge of the sck line, the data sending on the MOSI line of the STM32 board and load this value in some interna register of my FPGA to use it as I need later.   I hope that my i

I'm just getting started with STM32 microcontrollers and I have been using the NUCLEO H753ZIT6. I was trying to learn how to use multiple channels of ADC's with DMA. I was able to get some data when I used a single channel ADC normally. But now I'm not even able to get any data when I put the ADC data storing array in the "Live Expressions" tab. I have also tried to use timers to make the ADC conversions happen at a frequency of 10Hz. I have attached images of how I've setup the ADC and Timer. My timer configuration has a prescaler of 64000-1 because the Timer clock is running at 64 MHz. My ADC is running at a clock of 40 MHz because I thought if its less then it may work. I have also tried the "Continuous Conversion Mode" in the ADC setting and the "Circular mode" in the DMA setting but none of them work. This is my main.c file: /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main progr

Hi there,I'm new to this community. I'm having an issue right now. Everything was working fine, until I made the mistake of going to Project -> Properties -> settings -> C/C++ Build -> Settings. Silly me hit "restore defaults"Ever since that moment, when I hit the Hammer Icon to build, I get errors that say "Failed to Generate Command line. Reason: Unknown Target".I"m assuming somehow I deleted the linker settings somehow? I also get these issues. "Drivers/STM32G4xx_HAL_Driver/Src/subdir.mk:73: *** unable to generate command line. Stop."Would really appreciate some help on how to fix this, thanks so much.Regards,Teyros
