Hello Community!Recently i have started working on USB MSC using RTOS. Im using USB HOST Library version 3.5.2 and latest version of CubeMx.When im generating the code by selecting FreeRTOS CMSIS V2 and pulging my USB drive to CN13 connector then the Appli_state is always staying at APPLICATION_START state and not not going to APPLICATION_READY state.but on other hand if im selecting FreeRTOS CMSIS V1 instead of V2 with keeping same configuration then USB Appli_state is changing imidiatly to APPLICATION_READY state when USB is getting connected to CN13 connetor. Here im using STM32F746 NUCLEO board. if anyone knows what is the issue please reply.Thank you!

Hi I am using STM32F407 I want to make IRQ handler for busOff inetrrupt so can I use CAN1_SCE for bus OFF interrupt? B.R Ash

My hardware has the I2C pins (SDA and SCL) connected incorrectly, and I cannot change them because the hardware is already built. Is there any way I can fix this issue from the firmware side? Can I change the pins through software? hear attach my schematic photo . atck pin are incorrect and i can  not change it. please help me .

For product A (68-pin VFQFN package), pins 31 and 66 are VCAP pins, and 2.2uF capacitors have been placed on each pin. Should pins 33 and 66 be connected to each other, or is it sufficient to place the capacitors on each pin individually?

Hello,I'm using the X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1 dev kit with the CR95HF RFID chip. The protocol to talk to the chip I'm using is SPI, and the ISO configured is 15693. I can confirm SPI comms are working as both the ID and ECHO commands work. I also seem to get the correct response from the chip with the protocol is selected and configured for 15693. Unfortunately it seems like RFID tags are not getting detected. I can confirm the RFID tags are programmed and work as expected as I can used my phone's RFID scanner to detect the tag, and the protocol is detected to be 15693. I've attached a Saleae capture of the SPI comms between the MCU and the CR95HF when using a Send/Receive command. The error code that is returned by the CR95HF is 0x87, which corresponds to not detecting an RFID tag.Currently I'm using the default 15693 protocol config of 0x00, but have tried lowering the protocol bit rate and waiting for SOF.Help would be greatly appreciated! Capture of configuring the

Hi all.I would like to use the VN5T016AH-E high-side driver and I have some questions.*Are there 8V in the CS pin under fault conditions?*Can it measure max 4.2A with a K about 4240? Why do you specify 4V in the datasheet without knowing the value of the Rsense resistor?*If I don't need latch-off option, is there an autorestart mode after a fault condition? Many thanks.

Hello.Cube IDE has option in the settings to associate .cproject and .project files to STM32CubeIDE.But nothing changed in the project folder :(I have tried to give "full disk access" to the STM32CubeIDE application - but nothing change.STM32CubeIDE application has ProjectImporter.app into the application package, but I do not know how to use it :(If I try to do "open with" STM32CubeIDE -  .cproject file opens as xml file in STM32CubeIDE :(How can I import project? Thank U

I am currently choosing an LSE and HSE crystal for an STM32H743 project. AN2867 includes tables of compatible STM32 crystals. There is also a crystal selection tool from ECS which i've used. My question is, after selecting a crystal from the tables, is there still a need to perform any of the steps outlined in section "4.2: How to select an STM32-compatible crystal"? Is it enough to simply select a crystal from the table, follow the board layout guidelines, and check the crystal frequency with an oscilloscope? Thank you.

Hello ST Community, I’m working on a project that requires both Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and CAN connectivity. Ideally, I’d like a single MCU solution from ST that includes both a BLE radio and CAN (controller and transceiver, if possible). Single-Chip Option? Does ST offer any MCU that integrates BLE and CAN on one chip? I’ve looked into the STM32WB series for BLE, but it doesn’t appear to include CAN. Is there another family that might have both? External Module Choice If there’s no single-chip solution, which approach would you recommend? Use an STM32WB for BLE and add an external CAN transceiver? Use an STM32 MCU with CAN and add an external BLE module? In terms of complexity, power consumption, and development effort, which route do you find more straightforward? SPC5 Series I’m also curious about the SPC5 line, which seems dedicated to automotive applications. Is it a good option for integrating CAN + BLE (externally for BLE, perhaps)? Or is it overly specialized

I've setup a custom USB device with multiple interfaces on custom hardware using a ULPI. The USB code is derived from the code generated by CubeMX.On interface 0 I have endpoint 1 in and outOn interface 1 I have endpoint 2 in and outOn interface 2 I have endpoint 3 in and outFrom the PC, I wrote a very simple program that can send and receive a single packet. I can send and receive data  on interface 0 (ep1). I can also send data from PC to device to on interface 1 (ep2), but I cannot receive data. Interface 2 has not yet been implemented. Transmit and receive buffers are set as follows in usbd_conf.c: HAL_PCDEx_SetRxFiFo(&hpcd_USB_OTG_HS, 0x200);HAL_PCDEx_SetTxFiFo(&hpcd_USB_OTG_HS, 0, 0x20);HAL_PCDEx_SetTxFiFo(&hpcd_USB_OTG_HS, 1, 0x80);HAL_PCDEx_SetTxFiFo(&hpcd_USB_OTG_HS, 2, 0x80);HAL_PCDEx_SetTxFiFo(&hpcd_USB_OTG_HS, 3, 0x80); In my custom device class I open all three pairs of EP's exactly the same way. I'm missing something though. My presumpti

In my application, I have a watchdog timer that resets every 45 seconds if not fed. I also have an RTC. The application records sensor samples, along with timestamps from the RTC.Problem is, when there is a watchdog reset, the RTC is re-initialized to default date and time. This messes up the sample/timestamp collection. Are the RTC time/date values still maintained even when there is a watchdog reset? Would it make sense to skip setting the default date/time when a watchdog reset has been detected? Thanks.

Hi,I am currently working on a Bluetooth application using the STM32WB5MMG module.I want to configure the RTC such that it generates a WakeUp interrupt every 5ms to read sensors and do some computation before going to stop mode for the remainder of the 5ms interval. For the Bluetooth stack to work I had to activate the RTC, so I guess the Bluetooth stack somehow interacts with the RTC.The RTC wake-Up interrupt itself is not needed for Bluetooth, so my naive understanding is that activating and configuring this interrupt does not have any side-effects on Bluetooth and vice versa.Yet, when I configure the RTC WakeUp as shown in the screenshots at the end of the post and add the call shown below to my initialization code in the main method, the intterupt is triggered exactly once and not periodically.HAL_RTCEx_SetWakeUpTimer_IT(&hrtc, 82, RTC_WAKEUPCLOCK_RTCCLK_DIV2);Now, if I take a look at the interrupt callback in stm32wbxx_it.c, this looks as follows:void RTC_WKUP_IRQHandler(v

Hi, I’m working with an STM32G0 MCU and utilizing the USBPD and USB_DEVICE Middleware packages. In my application, I need to detect if the connected device is running iOS. Since all Apple devices have the Vendor ID (VID) set to 0x5AC, I plan to use this as a distinguishing factor. However, I’m unable to locate where and how to retrieve this VID within the STM32 software framework. Is there a specific function or method available in the Middleware or USB stack that allows me to access the VID of a connected device? If not, could you guide me on where to look or how to implement this functionality?Thank you!

Hi there!here i'm for ask another help. I use STM32G031 for write and read eeprom 24LC01B , and i work with where Address = 0x01;HAL_I2C_Mem_Write(hi2c, DevAddress, Address , I2C_MEMADD_SIZE_8BIT, &val, 1, 100);so if i wrote 7 byte everythingh work perfect if i wrote 8 byte ti find the last byte in the position 0x00 in my eeprom why ? if i change eeprom like 24lc256 and I2C_MEMADD_SIZE_16BIT HAL_I2C_Mem_Write(hi2c, DevAddress, Address , I2C_MEMADD_SIZE_16BIT, &val, 1, 100); everythingh work perfect please can you help me ? Thanks Sergiio

Hello,we have CubeIDE 1.8 with GCC 12.3 and for a certain project want to turn the toolchain back to GCC 10.3. We successfully installed it via Toolchain Manager and switched to it in Project - Properties -> C/C++ Build - Settings - MCUToolchain . But when compiling we get an eror message that the prefix to build the compiler instructions is empty and in Project - Properties -> C/C++ Build - Settings - MCU Settings the MCU field suddenly is empty. The only way back is to change back to GCC12.3 and restart CubeIDE. Then we are back at where we started. What's wrong? Is that known? How to fix it?Thanks for any helpMartin

I am designing interface board  similar to MB1835 for our touchscreen to work with MB1829.  STM32U5G9NJH6Q power supply VDD, VDDA, VDDIO and VDDUSB are all supplied with 1.8V. Thus, STM32U5G9NJH6Q GPIO is compatible with 1.8V signals. Touch Screen connects to MB1835 also has signal levels of 1.8V. i.e.  I2C_SCL,  I2C_SDA, Screen_int, screen_resetn are of signal level 1.8V. Yet, all these signals are designed to use level shifter on MB1835. May I know why?  And for our customized interface board, may touchscreen with 1.8V  signals interface with STM32U5G9NJH6Q GPIO directly? Thank you.Kelly

Hello,I'm working on a project where I'm using an STM32H7R3L8H6H and an MX25UW25645G. It isn't possible to get the Flash working on XSPI2 when using the ExtMemLoader generated by STM32CubeMX. I checked the example in the firmware package and found the following errors in it:In the STM32CubeMX XSPI2 configuration, "Parameter Settings" is the "Memory Size" with 32GBit selected. The "__FLASH_SIZE" in the linker file "STM32H7S3L8HX_ROMxspi2_app.ld" is set to 0x08000000.Since the NUCLEO_STM32H7S3L8 board is using the MX25UW25645G chip, those settings are incorrect. They should be 256GBit instead of 32GBit and 0x02000000 instead of 008000000.Where can I find the source code for the "MX25UW25645G_NUCLEO-H7S3L8.stldr" which is shipped with the STM32CubeProgrammer? It looks like this loader is working, but I want to use my own loader for my project. Unfortunately, there is not one working example anywhere that uses the MX25UW25645G, even if this chip is used by STM on their NUCLEO board. It

I'm using the NUCLEO-H7S3L8 and the max CPU frequency is 600MHz. By default, CubeMX sets VOS is set to 0 (low). But if this were the case, wouldn't it be violating the datasheet where it states 400MHz is the max CPU clock? I've been using 600MHz clock without ever setting VOS high and I haven't gotten any issues, so I'm not sure whether or not it's fine to leave VOS alone.

Hello.I have designed my own STM32H747IGT6 board. And I created a simple project with STM32CubeIDE to confirm its operation. In this project, CM7 is a program that simply blinks the LED in a while loop. (CM4 is just code generation)  while (1) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOE,GPIO_PIN_9); HAL_Delay(200); /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ } /* USER CODE END 3 */ } However, when I debug the M7, the code stops at this point and I can't continue.  /* Wait until CPU2 boots and enters in stop mode or timeout*/ timeout = 0xFFFF; while((__HAL_RCC_GET_FLAG(RCC_FLAG_D2CKRDY) != RESET) && (timeout-- > 0)); if ( timeout < 0 ) { Error_Handler(); } This is obviously happening because CM4 is not running. So I checked this link and changed the run configuration and debug configuration for CM7 and CM4, but it still stuck at the same point. Also, after reading AN5286, I checked the addresses of CM7 and CM4 in STM32CubeProgrammer, but they were the sa

It actually works only for one of the devices. This tells me, that the I2C bus is somehow working correctly.But for the remaining three IC (Temperature, GPIO & ADC), there is no way for me to even send the register address.Right after the Device address, the communication ends. See the attached file. This is the communication to an MCP9801T temperature sensor (device address [W] = 0x92).I actually don't understand the reason, why this happens.f=100kHzWhat I did:- changing pull-ups: same behaviour for 4.7kOhm & 3.0 kOhm- soldering the device on an otherwise empty PCB: only the 100nF, the pull-ups and the MCP9801T is there.- I2C-Deinit as well as I2C-Init.The source code is as simple as that:   while (1) { data[0]=0x00; data[1]=0x01;

Hi ST Community,I am an iOS developer exploring communication with your ST25 NFC products. However, I couldn’t find any binary library like a .framework or Swift Package that can be easily integrated into our project. We have attempted to work with the source code provided iOS app for ST25DV-I2C PHDC demo, but we’ve encountered some challenges getting it up and running. Before investing a significant amount of time troubleshooting, I wanted to ask:Does a pre-built binary library or an official Swift Package for iOS exist that we can use to simplify integration?Thank you for your help!Best regards,CanniPriest

Hi,I am working on STM32G491KCU6 board. We are connecting STM to a linux based SoC via SPI. What we required is, we need to flash STM from SoC. We found stmflash binary which supports only through i2c and UART. Is there any tool that support flashing via SPI?

Hello, We are considering using the ST33TPHF2XI2 for our application. The datasheet mentions two variants:ST33HTPH2X32AHE1ST33HTPH2X32AHD5Could you please recommend which device would be more suitable for a new design, considering stock availability and long-term perspective? Please provide your input. Thanks,Sonali Z
