Hello, when I change configuraion of my procejt STM32F103 in CubeMX  e.g.PIN&Configuration / SYS / Debug    item is changed  from "4 pins" to "5 pins" and I push "GENERATE buton" the code inside While cycle in main.c function in CubeIDE is changed at the same time. It is terrible. I thought that If I insert my user code inside the /* USER CODE END WHILE */  clause all such code is protected against changing when configuraion of my project is done in CubeMX. But it is NOT true. How can I solve this problem ?  /* Infinite loop */ /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */ while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE */ // LED ON HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_14, GPIO_PIN_SET); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_15, GPIO_PIN_RESET); HAL_Delay(500); // LED OFF HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_14, GPIO_PIN_RESET); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_15, GPIO_PIN_SET); HAL_Delay(500); /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ } /* USER CODE END 3 */

Hello,We have run into a weird behaviour with the STM32G070KB. With PA8 defined as an input with internal pullup and PA9 as output push-pull. When PA9 is at low level and PA8 unconnected, PA8 is at VCC (3.3V) as expected. When PA9 is at high level, PA8 drops to 0.29V. Adding an external 10k pull up raises PA8 to around 1V.Actually after more tests, leaving PA9 as an input and driving it externally to VCC also makes PA8 to drop.We are using a custom board, but at this point after unsoldering components and cutting traces, both PA8 and PA9 are not connected to anything so this is not due to external components. This code sample reproduces the behaviour : int main(void) { SET_BIT(RCC->IOPENR, RCC_IOPENR_GPIOAEN); //Set PA8 as input pull up GPIOA->MODER &= ~GPIO_MODER_MODE8; GPIOA->PUPDR |= GPIO_PUPDR_PUPD8_0; //PA8 reads 3.3V as it should   //Set PA9 as output push-pull low GPIOA->MODER &= ~GPIO_MODER_MODE9_1; GPIOA->OTYPER &= ~GPIO_OTYPER_OT9; GPIOA

Board InformationI am using STM32H7B3I-DK and have generated a project using the TouchGFXDesigner. I have then modified the pin configuration through STM32CubeIDE.Problem DescriptionI want to read the value of a resistance (and thus the voltage) through the ADC and display it on the screen. I have looked at the board schematics and seen that I need to configure Pin PA4 to read ADC (ADC1_INP18). However, the clock needs to be reconfigured for some reason. So I run the automatic clock issue solver and flash the code to my board, where I just get a blank (white) screen. This is really confusing to me because the tutorials I have watched on the topic never have to configure the clock and thus don't run into this issue. Thanks in advance!

Are there any power management ICs available for STM32N657X0?

Hello Everybody,MCSDK:6.3.0CubeMX: 6.3.0Workbench : 6.3.0Motor Pilot : 1.2.9Power Board : IHM08M1Control Board : NUCLEO-G431RBMotor : GBM2804H-100TI am currently testing FOC-OpenLoop-Voltage. I am using Motor Pilot for tuning and measuring SVPWM (at OUT1~OUT3) and BEMF (at D6, D8, D10) with an oscilloscope. However, both waveforms appear as square waves. Could this be related to the specific motor model I am using?

Hello, observed that both the CM4 and CM7 cores are resetting (NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q), whereas it is expected that only the CM4 core should reset due to the Window Watchdog (WWDG2). For verification UART is configured in cm7 printing counter value. observe that after some value the counter is rested to 0, that means both cm4 and cm7 is resting, using stm32cubeide for code flash.Best Regards

Hi Team We are looking for Processor or Controller which supports EtherCAT G and SPIAwaiting Your Reply ..

We're looking to replace our F105 processors in the next generation of a an automotive application. We want more flash,2 I2c ports2 SPI ports3 UARTspreferably 4 CAN ports, but atleast 3, 2 of the CAN ports should support CAN-FDand more hardware security features than F105 provides (we're in the early stages of defining what we need. In particular understanding what TrustZone provides compared to what you can get from STM32F423).Low power consumption in stop mode is important as well.At a first glance F423 looks like a good candidate since it's mostly sw/pin compatible and has a subset of security features. But at this point I'm not sure whether it's enough to fulfil our security needs. And not having CAN FD support might be a blocker.Do you have any suggestions on other lines of processors that could fulfill the role the F105 has filled for us?I've started reading some app notes. Any other resources that you can recommend?AN5156 - Introduction to security for STM32 MCUsAN4904

Hi,I am trying to use the Clock and weather application code that has some driver for wifi to test the module but it seems the net_conf_es_wifi_spi.c from the driver is trying to init SPI4 instead of SPI2 as per the schematics on st.com website. why is there a difference in SPI and other GPIO pins? what is the correct pins that needs to be initialised?

Hi,I am not able to understand the pin mapping in stm32h7b3i-dk (default pin mapping). I wont be using stmod+ but I need to use analog audio input (3.5mm Audio jack in) . By using the default set of pin mapping is it possible to use TouchGFX monitor and analog audio input without pin conflict? I tried to check this out myself my I am slightly confused about this. Thank you in advance!

Hello,Did not find the code to read battery level from BLE bas service. Is there any sample code? Thanks

I am new to STM32.  I am on an Apple Silicon M2 Mac.  The IDE appears to be solid, installed properly, and working consistently.  The STMH7 family seems pretty well established, so I am confident it is a self induced issue! :)I have downloaded and installed version 1.17.0 of STM32CubeIDE and STM32CubeProgrammer.  I have watched a few videos from ST folks on youtube and the process appears very straight forward. When trying the steps to build an Example program for the first time or two, I have gone through the various updates of the IDE and firmware as recommended. When rebooting the Mac and launching the IDE, I create a new "default location" and create a new project from the available Examples.  I choose the STM32H7B3I-EVAL board, then create a project from the Example Selector named "LedToggling".  The IDE copies stuff over to my project directory and eventually opens the main project window. While it copies the example project into my new project, I see t

I have a Nucleo-H7S3L8 board that I have been using for development, but it is no longer able to connect to download binaries. I had previously been able to connect, but now when I try to run code using STM32CubeIDE, the ST-LINK GDB server fails with the message:Target no device foundError in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: No device found on target. I also tried connecting with the STM32CubeProgrammer and I get a window that pops up with "Error: No STM32 target found! If your product embeds Debug Authentication, please perform a discovery using Debug Authentication".In the Debug configuration, the type is "Connect under reset". I've tried different cables and different computers. I don't have another Nucleo board, but I've confirmed that I can connect and load code into a board with an STM32F411. What else can I try?

Hi all!I'm having some issues in order to use the AlarmA and AlarmB features of RTC in the STM32WLE5x MCU. I'm using the HAL library functions.I've experienced an ambiguous behavior when debugging the code generated in CubeMX module in STM32CubeIDE. First, without using the masks for subsecond registers in the .ioc file, it runs once, at first debug. Then, by clicking on debug once again, it does not return from  MX_RTC_Init() function after startup. I noticed that the code kept in loop on stm32wlxx_hal_rtc.c file (not handled by any error loop). A second point is that the value that I input in the "free running 32 bit value" fields on RTC Alarms A and B parameters are always transcribed in hexa inside the RTC init function. It means, if I write for example 0xFF in the GUI field, it appears as 0x0xff in the main.c file updated. If I select "decimal" value and input a value of 255, it will write 0x255 in the function.A third issue that I found, is that when I do use any mask for th

Hello,I am implementing DMA transfers to USART1 peripheral configured as asynchronous UART. I am facing issue that the message transferred with DMA is transferred only once and freezes.When set to transfer messages in blocking mode (without using DMA), it is transferred fine every time in a loop.For reference I am attaching my initialization code for DMA and USART1:Initialize USART1:huart1.Instance = USART1; huart1.Init.BaudRate = 115200; huart1.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_8B; huart1.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; huart1.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_NONE; huart1.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_TX_RX; huart1.Init.HwFlowCtl = UART_HWCONTROL_NONE; huart1.Init.OverSampling = UART_OVERSAMPLING_16; huart1.Init.OneBitSampling = UART_ONE_BIT_SAMPLE_DISABLE; huart1.Init.ClockPrescaler = UART_PRESCALER_DIV1; huart1.AdvancedInit.AdvFeatureInit = UART_ADVFEATURE_NO_INIT; if (HAL_UART_Init(&huart1) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } if (HAL_UARTEx_SetTxFifoThreshold(&huart1, UART_TXFIFO_THRESHOLD_1

I am trying to interface a SPI flash from Winbond (W25Q64JV) with FATFS.I have no previous experience with FATFS.I initialize FATFS in CubeMX with the option "used-defined" and modified the MAXIMUM and MINIMUM Sector Size to 4096, as it is the smallest possible erase sector dimension.I Got a Sample github code. This is It.https://github.com/maxiufeng258/SPI_Flash_Uart_Led_Polling_V1.0.i got w25Qxxx file from this github file which contain spi command to interact with w25q64.Now i know i should edit User_diskio or diskio,c as mentioned in the gitcode.i done it and got hardfault error at HAL_SPI_Transmit() function.i know that so many done and success it before . but i dont get a clear picture of how it done. anyone guide ASAP

Hi, let me clarify more my situation ... I am coding this from scratch i am using a CAN transciever...My problem is that the CAN_Start function always returns an Error and while debugging i noticed that my code is stuck in the CAN initialisation what i see is that the BIT INAK in the MSR register stayd always 1 when it should switch to 0...probably i have a problem in the config ...This is my config code :  void can_gpio_init(void) { /*1 Enable Clock Access to GPIOB*/ RCC->AHB1ENR |= GPIODEN; /*2 Set PD0 and PD1 to alternate function mode*/ GPIOD->MODER &=~(1U<<0); GPIOD->MODER |=(1U<<1); GPIOD->MODER &=~(1U<<2); GPIOD->MODER |=(1U<<3); GPIOD->PUPDR |=(1U<<0); GPIOD->PUPDR &=~(1U<<1); GPIOD->PUPDR |=(1U<<2); GPIOD->PUPDR &=~(1U<<3); GPIOD->OTYPER &=~(1U<<0); GPIOD->OTYPER &=~(1U<<1); /*3 SET PD0 and PD1 alternate function to CAN1

Dear STMicroelectronics,The problem described here: OEMiROT example flash protect sector problem seems to still be present in STM32Cube_FW_H5_V1.4.0. I tested to rebuild Projects/NUCLEO-H563ZI/ROT_Provisioning/OEMiROT from STM32CubeIDE after changing flash_layout.h and indeed onlyNUCLEO-H563ZI/ROT_Provisioning/OEMiROT/img_config.shNUCLEO-H563ZI/ROT_Provisioning/OEMiROT/ob_flash_programming.sh are updated so if you run provisioning.bat, the OBs for SECWM2_END etc. will not be correctly set. Is there an internal ticket tracking a fix for this?    Best regards, Jesper

I have debugged the whole code to send data from stm32h750b-dk between the two fdcan terminals fdcan1 and fdcan2 the data is appearing on live expressions of txdata1 but in rxdata only 1 bit is being transferred can somebody mention what the problem could be all my parameters are adjusted accurately  Txdata[2]={7,8}; this is the output which is shown can somebody help me out on wtt could be done

Hi, I am curious about one thig. I am using STM32F070CBT microcontroller which has LQFP48 package. My curiosity is about 3rd and 4th pins. In datasheet these pins additional  functions are OSC32_IN and OSC32_OUT respectively. In my project, i did not intend to use these pins as external oscillator. Am i have to initialize these pins to use as GPIO and disable HSE oscillator( even if i did not use it as an oscillator) ?

InSTGAP3SXSdatasheet is funny table , input -> output state, the most important thing for a driver - but wrong:btw : 1. Do not care.   -- is perfect here.

to use the canbus Pins from the systembootloader of stm32f429ZI PB13 needs to be disconected from VBUS_FDThere is no jumper or 0R, the pcb pad needs to be physically cut.

Hello, I have a RAK3172 which is based on STM32WLE5CCU6, and it is being configured for LoRaWAN, and the node transmission is happening based on timer (TX_ON_TIMER), sometimes an External interrupt will be there and the device needs to send the packet immediately (TX_ON_EVENT), now how to switch from TX_ON_TIMER to TX_ON_EVENT

Hello,I am trying to get my STM32WB5MM module to talk to VL53L7CH. I have working BLE project (compiles no warnings, no error and works-advertises as beacon). Now I added files from STSW-IMG043, according to doc file in the package.I also modified the platform.c file, with I2C functions (used the ones from F401 example, just changed the I2C handle to the one I use "hi2c3").After trying to compile, I receive some weird errors in log that I haven't dealt with before, so some help would be appreciated. From what I could extract, there are some "wrong" definitions in file "vl53lmz_buffers.h" (haven't modified that file at all). Log output:   11:14:34 **** Incremental Build of configuration Debug for project XXXXX **** make -j16 all arm-none-eabi-gcc -o "FPulse.elf" @"objects.list" -mcpu=cortex-m4 -T"C:\Users\klemen.skorjanc\Documents\CubeIDE_workspace\FPulse\STM32WB5MMGHX_FLASH.ld" --specs=nosys.specs -Wl,-Map="FPulse.map" -Wl,--gc-sections -static --spe

Hello,How is the INTERNAL_FREQ_FINE register set in the ISM330?Is it factory calibrated or is there on board logic that allows it change with age/temp/etc.?Thank you,Brandon M
