Hello,I am trying to configure project manually for STM32H745I-Disco from scratch (without using any example template).  used app versionsCubeIde 1.17.0Touchgfx  4.23.0cubemx  6.12.0I configured everything from cube mx and also created a blank UI from Touchgfx and generated code from there. But i am always getting errors like below: ../TouchGFX/target/generated/STM32DMA.hpp:21:10: fatal error: touchgfx/hal/BlitOp.hpp: No such file or directory 21 | #include <touchgfx/hal/BlitOp.hpp> | ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ compilation terminated. ../TouchGFX/target/generated/TouchGFXConfiguration.cpp:19:10: fatal error: texts/TypedTextDatabase.hpp: No such file or directory 19 | #include <texts/TypedTextDatabase.hpp> | ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ compilation terminated. Meanwhile STM goes with Microsoft AZURE RTOS - ok, fine, feature rich, obvious! But "I miss a feature": open and read a file from the MCU internal flash memory (as a const file content, as array of characters, without a need for a sector based, FAT based, a file system). In the past, on STM MCUs and FW (CubeMX drivers and demos) - it was possible to have web pages for a HTTPD daemon (web server) located in MCU Flash memory and read the file data bytes and send it as browser response. Now, with AZURE RTOS - all seems to be stored on a FAT (sector based) file system. Why so complicated?! Details: I have ported the STM32U575-EV USB_ECM project to a NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q board. It needs the external SD Card! So, I had to put the web page files on external SD Card (with external SD Card adapter for a NUCELO board). I want to get rid of this SD Card and have my web pages sitting in the MCU Flash memory. OK, I understand, AZURE FileX is very flexible, it can also support SDRAM as file system MEDIA,

I want to trigger a RFID reading at certain intervals using ST25R3911 and from this I want a RFID reading to be done within 1 second. When I try this in RFAL (using democode for polling): err = rfalNfcDiscover( &discParam ); if( err != RFAL_ERR_NONE ) { printf("Err %d!\n\r", (int)err); return false; } state = DEMO_ST_START_DISCOVERY;   It takes about 10 second to do a RFID reading which is way too long. When analyzing what RFAL is doing this is what I see when checking gNfcDev.state in rfalNfcWorker: void rfalNfcWorker( void ) { ReturnCode err; rfalWorker(); /* Execute RFAL process */ printf("State %d\n\r", (int)gNfcDev.state); switch( gNfcDev.state ) {   RFAL_NFC_STATE_POLL_TECHDETECT - about 5 secondsRFAL_NFC_STATE_POLL_COLAVOIDANCE - about 4 seconds Which is obvisously too long for a user to hold an RFID card in front of the reader. What is RFAL doing and how can I reduce time from request reading to reading done within

I have PCB which support 3.3 V or 4 V power supply which I want to connect with ST25R3911B. I want to run 4V power supply as it can provide more current and I assume outputpower of ST25R3911B  will be higher on 4 V than on 3.3 V.In data sheet of ST25R3911B  it is stated that power supply is 2.4 to 5.5V so this should be fine. BUT when checking the registers 4.0V seems to be an invalid voltage: IO configuration register 2Bit 7 - sup3 V0: 5 V supply1: 3.3 V supply 5 V supply, range: 4.1 V to 5.5 V3.3 V supply, range: 2.4 V to 3.6 Vmin. 3.0 V for VHBR So the question is what will happen when using 4.0V for 5V supply range? Will it not work at all? Also when running PCB on battery voltage this will give voltage bewteen 4.0 to 3.0 V, which seems to be outside specification of ST25R3911B.Can someone help how to use use ST25R3911B in my application?

Hey there!I'm trying to design a TouchGFX GUI using a background image that has some placeholder 'boxes' (that will eventually hold status of things) and custom flex buttons. I'd like these buttons to have rounded edges, so I am using PNGs with transparency around the edges. However, TouchGFX seems to ignore the alpha of 0 and fill that space with blue - see screenshots of the buttons below:They appear the same way in the simulator. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for your help! Julia

Hi,I want to buy LDL212PUR LDO. I have 2 questions:1. Can it work reliably with ceramic capacitors?2. What are the recommended resistor values for voltage adjust version?I cannot find this information in the datasheet. Thanks,Adam

Is it possible to create a custom widget in TouchGFX using code, specifically in STM32CubeIDE? I would like to start with a blank screen, add a custom widget, import the generated project into STM32CubeIDE, and then write code for the custom widget. What are the steps involved in achieving this?

Hi everyone,I'm at the start to build up my transceiver based on the STM32WL33 with the Nucleo-board NUCLEO-WL33CC1 and the Mainboard MB1801. I want to use the IOC in the Cube IDE.If you are trying to send the raw HF Data to a GPIO Pin:  Change  __HAL_MRSUBG_SET_RX_MODE(RX_NORMAL); to __HAL_MRSUBG_SET_RX_MODE(RX_DIRECT_GPIO); add /*Configure GPIO pin : PB1 */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_1; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_PULLUP; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOW; GPIO_InitStruct.Alternate = GPIO_AF4_SUBG; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOB, &GPIO_InitStruct); and measure at PB1 (it took me some time to get this solution, maybe it helps someone out there)Further information https://www.st.com/resource/en/reference_manual/rm0511-stm32wl33xx-armbased-wireless-mcus-with-subghz-radio-solution-stmicroelectronics.pdfhttps://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um3438-description-of-stm32wl3-hal-and-lowlayer-

Hello,I am using an STM32F401 board and trying to read a sensor using DMA. The sensor is a receive only sensor, i have tested with block SPI if the sensor works and it does. I am trying to read the sensor via DMA as it must be implemented with multiple SPI sensors, yet i can't get the buffer to read correctly? something like that. Launching the code with DMA in receive only causes the DMA interrupt, that would signal a succesfull read, to trigger before the data transfer is complete. I can see an SCLK from the MCU to the Sensor and some data that returns. Just not correct data. I have also tried using SPI Half Duplex Master, as this allows for prescaling the CLK output as well. Connecting the Sensor to the MOSI pin instead of the MISO and using the DMA TransmitReceive, while using dummy packages for the transmit. This causes the code to crash after a few succesfull DMA completions, yet the data is still incorrect even in the completed DMA requests. I have

Hello everyone,I’m working on an STM32H747IIT6 based project that uses both Cortex-M7 and Cortex-M4 cores. Under Pinout & Configuration > System Core > Cortex_M7 (and similarly Cortex_M4) in STM32CubeIDE, there are several options such as:CPU I-Cache / CPU D-CacheMPU (Memory Protection Unit)TCM (ITCM / DTCM) EnableBackground Region Privileged AccessMPU Instruction AccessCache and MPU Region SettingsI’d like to understand the best practices for configuring these settings, especially when running multiple middleware components like FreeRTOS, LwIP (Ethernet), USB, I2C, and an SD card interface. Here are some questions I have:Cache Enable/Disable: Under which circumstances should I enable both Instruction Cache and Data Cache? What are the typical pitfalls (e.g., DMA conflicts) when D-Cache is enabled?MPU Configuration: If I plan to use the MPU, how do I decide which memory regions need different cache policies or access permissions? Are there any recommended templates or applica

In my design VDD = 2.9V and VDD_IO = 2.0V.  To minimize current when the NFC feature is not needed, I want to power down the VDD supply.  But I want to leave VDD_IO powered on.  Is there a concern with VDD being powered up and down repeatedly while VDD_IO is always on?

Hello!I've been tasked to use the STEVAL-PROTEUS1 board with the ISM330DHCX to detect anomalous motor behavior. I've confirmed the board works fine when using other firmware and works as a WCID & MSC with datapro. However, when I try to flash the auto generated datalogger firmware from Nanoedge AI for serial data collection (via FUOTA), it does not create a COM port I can point the serial monitor at. I'd be grateful if someone could advise me of mistakes I might've made along the way, or if flashing via FUOTA does not work because there is a second flash bank or something similar. While I do currently have access to a STLINK V3-MINIE, I would prefer if flashing via FUOTA was an option, as it makes for an easier showcase. Thanks in advanceHaze

Hello, the STM32G0 low-power state diagram (Figure 8 below) is in the ref. manual RM0444 on page 127.It shows that a direct transition from Run Mode to LP Sleep Mode is not possible.Questions:* Is there a simple method to transition from Run Mode to LP Sleep Mode by 'passing' through LP Run Mode? * After waking up from LP Sleep Mode, where does code execution continue?Reason for the question:Our application needs a low-power mode where the MCU is turned off (no communication with external devices), but can wake up within approx. 500 ms and begin executing at a specific point in the firmware.Thank you!

The equipment I am using is the following: Nucleo-Board L476RG, STM32CubeIde 1.10.1. I am attempting to design a simple dsp system that uses an ADC to send the data it receives from a function waveform generator to a DAC, and the DAC output will then be connected to an oscilloscope. I am trying to figure out how to use the TIM2 interrupt to drive sampling from PC2 with ADC1, and then immediately send the ADC data to DAC for output from PA4.The function generator will generate a sin signal with a frequency of 100Hz.

We have been using an STM32 U585 with additional external FLASH connected to OSPI1 and external PSRAM connected to OSPI2.  This is not on a dev kit, it is our own hardware.  The PSRAM is memory-mapped and is using the HyperBus protocol.  We have noticed that every once in awhile the PSRAM will skip two bytes while reading from the memory.  As this is a memory mapped peripheral, we are reading it via memcpy, and we don't see HAL_OSPI_ErrorCallback or HAL_OSPI_AbortCpltCallback hit.   It appears to always skip 2 bytes after the first 8 bytes of the memcpy, and it still transfers the full number of bytes, walking 2 bytes past the end of the desired read.  Even stranger, if we immediately issue the same memcpy after detecting this issue, it works correctly on the second attempt. I have walked through the errata and the datasheets and cannot find a rhyme or reason as to why we would be deterministically dropping bytes like this.  It is always the

Hello,We had to switch out an SD card for eMMC and we kept with SDMMC1. I am aware of having to burn the fuses to get eMMC to default to SDMMC1 which I did. I was able to get it to flash successfully, and now when you switch it to 010 it will boot from SDMMC1 using eMMC. It will then get an error message,     Terminal ready gNOTICE: CPU: STM32MP135A Rev.Y NOTICE: Model: STMicroelectronics custom STM32CubeMX board - openstlinux-6.1-yocto-mickledore-mpu-v24.06.26 INFO: PMIC version = 0x21 INFO: Reset reason (0x35): INFO: Power-on Reset (rst_por) INFO: FCONF: Reading TB_FW firmware configuration file from: 0x2ffe0000 INFO: FCONF: Reading firmware configuration information for: stm32mp_io INFO: FCONF: Reading firmware configuration information for: stm32mp_fuse INFO: Using EMMC INFO: Instance 1 INFO: Boot used partition fsbl1 NOTICE: BL2: v2.8-stm32mp1-r2.0(debug):lts-v2.8.15-dirty(567af710) NOTICE: BL2: Built : 00:51:33, Jan 26 2024 INFO: BL2: Doing platform setup

Hello! First, some information: I am running a custom board with an STM32U599VJT6 and a 480x480 RGB666 screen. I am running single frame buffer, by allocation. All other settings are like the STM32U5A9-DK discovery board uses (as far as I know). The problem: the handleTickEvent function is not running, model tick is only running once (I checked with breakpoints). The initial framebuffer does get generated and displayed successfully on the screen but I cannot update the screen after that. The LTDC interrupt fires at a correct 16ms interval. So far, the debugging has led me to find that it seems that some functions related to the VSYNC in HAL_LTDC_LineEventCallback in TouchGFXGeneratedHAL.cpp are not mutated (defined as virtual functions but not overwritten). (See pictures).(Eclipse code highlighting says that the bold text is mutated, the normal text is virtual.) I cannot find where the mutation is supposed to happen. This is the only significant difference I have been able to

Hey All, Similar issue to this previous topic,I'm running into a timeout error every time I try and call  USBx->GRSTCTL |= USB_OTG_GRSTCTL_CSRST from the USB_CoreReset function in the example code. It seems like the previous solution was to make sure that a specific bit in the RCC section was enabled. But, that seems to be for the F3/U5 series of MCUs, and the H7 doesn't have that particular register or bit, it seems that the RCC is controlled a little bit differently. I've attached my register view, with a few of the RCC registers that might be of interest expanded. It might also be something that's not part of the RCC causing the issue, so I thought it wise to just include everything, incase there's something else in my project causing trouble. We haven't done a full clock analysis on this project yet, but it's on the to-do list.Thanks,-Hal

We are trying to assemble a laboratory plant from https://github.com/gergelytakacs/AutomationShield/wiki/FloatShieldThe ball position sensor (VL53L0X) is positioned at the top of the transparent policarbonate tube. We checked the reported ball positions by moving the ball in increments of 5 mm and noting the measured value. The results look almost linear without any obvious issues.Since the example controller was still not working as it should, we checked the measured ball position with an external reference video system during the actual operation. The graph below shows the ball position from the bottom of the tube. There appears to be large discrepancies in the middle of the tube. There are internal reflections of the ball on the sides of the tube - could this cause issues in reported ball position? Is it possible to measure only the first reflection with these sensors? This would practically invalidate all other reflections since those paths are longer.

Hello,I stumbled across a probably already wellknown problem:unable-to-use-quadspi-status-flag-polling-mode-with-instruction Now I'd like to know if there are any news, somebody wrote that the issue is observed by ST.Second I'd like to know if newer H75x revisions or devices with OCTO/HEXASPI (H735, H7RS, N6, ) suffer from the same problem(s).Third, regarding the comment from TeslaDeLorean, I'd like to know if this behaviour is related to the flash device.Ok, the problem:If I use 4 lines for instructions for status register polling of a QPI-able flash (MX66L1G45) I observed that if the WIP bit is set in the first status poll, the polling cycle is done, but the next polling fails. If the WIP is reset at the first time it is polled, the pollings stops, the program continues. That caused a race condition on my side (works, works not, works, ...) and took some time to investigate...Here is the situation: first poll is OK (2 clocks for command request, 2 clocks for status reply).
