Hi everyone,I'm working with an STWINBX1 board and using ST-LINK V3MINI for debugging and serial communication. However, I can't see any output on PuTTY (COM3 @ 115200 baud), even though everything seems correctly configured.Setup Details:Board: STWINBX1Connection: ST-LINK V3MINI (COM3 appears in Device Manager as "STMicroelectronics STLINK Virtual COM Port")USART Configuration:USART3 enabled by defaultTX/RX mapped to correct GPIOs (PB10/PB11 or PD8/PD9)Baud Rate: 115200Data Bits: 8, Stop Bits: 1, Parity: None, Flow Control: NoneTools Used:STM32CubeIDE for debugging (flashes successfully)STM32CubeProgrammer (UART connection to COM3 fails)PuTTY (No output when running code)What I Tried So Far::white_heavy_check_mark: Checked and confirmed USART3 is initialized in main.c:white_heavy_check_mark: Added debug messages via HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart3, ...):white_heavy_check_mark: Toggled an LED before sending UART data (LED toggles, so the function executes):white_heavy_check_mark: Checked

I am implementing encryption and decryption using AES-GCM mode on the STM32 NUCLEO-U5A5ZJ-Q. I have successfully encrypted and decrypted the string "Hello", but I am having issues with tag authentication.I am using the function HAL_CRYPEx_AESGCM_GenerateAuthTAG to obtain the tag after the encyption process. However, I cannot find a function to verify the tag. I have two questions:Do I need to implement the tag verification myself? If I need to implement it myself, is it correct to call HAL_CRYPEx_AESGCM_GenerateAuthTAG after both the encryption and decryption processes and then compare the tags? I obtained the tags from both the encryption and decryption processes, but different values were returned. Below is a portion of the implemented source code.  #define AES_KEY_SIZE 16 #define AES_IV_SIZE 12 #define AES_TAG_SIZE 16 CRYP_HandleTypeDef hcryp; uint8_t aesKey[AES_KEY_SIZE] = {0x11, 0x11, 0x22, 0x22, 0x33, 0x33, 0x44, 0x44, 0x55, 0x55, 0x66, 0x66, 0x7

Hi all,I'm designing a product that will have a USB boot-loader.I would like to choose a micro-controller that supports secure-boot as well as an ability to completely lock down the micro-controller such that no flash can be read from it. I understand this to be read out protection. Please correct me if I'm wrong. What's the best way to sort ST's micro-controller offerings based on the criteria above? If anyone has recommendations for micros, that would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!

I have two Nucleo boards, both NUCLEO-L476RG. The first board is equipped with the X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 (ST25R3916B), while the second board has the NFC 5 Click board (ST25R3918).I am trying to establish peer-to-peer (P2P) communication between these boards, with the ST25R3916B configured as the initiator and the ST25R3918 as the target. Both boards successfully detect NFC tags, confirming that the basic hardware setup is functioning correctly. However, I have not been able to achieve P2P communication.Any guidance or assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. I have attached the initiator and target codes for reference.

Hi am relatively new to stm32 development.I would like to understand the difference between HAL_GPIO_EXTI_CLEAR_IT and HAL_GPIO_EXTI_CLEAR_FLAG Thank you!

Is there a way to split the XPSR register view up so you can see each status bit by its name rather than the 32-bit value? The SFRs have this feature, why do the general registers not have it enabled by default?

I need a second pair of eyes. I am trying to setup EXTI using the GPIO HAL. But it looks like its doing it wrong. It must be me but I need you to double check to be sure. This is STM32G0 HAL so stm32g0xx_hal_gpio.c /*--------------------- EXTI Mode Configuration ------------------------*/ /* Configure the External Interrupt or event for the current IO */ if ((GPIO_Init->Mode & EXTI_MODE) != 0x00u) { temp = EXTI->EXTICR[position >> 2u]; temp &= ~(0x0FuL << (8u * (position & 0x03u))); temp |= (GPIO_GET_INDEX(GPIOx) << (8u * (position & 0x03u))); EXTI->EXTICR[position >> 2u] = temp;  In this code sample the macro GPIO_GET_INDEX is used. It takes the value "GPIO_TypeDef *GPIOx" and this value will enter the function as  GPIOB, GPIOA etc. The macro is  #if defined(GPIOE) #define GPIO_GET_INDEX(__GPIOx__) (((__GPIOx__) == (GPIOA))? 0uL :\ ((__GPIOx__) == (GPIOB))? 1uL :\ ((__GPIOx__) == (GPIOC))

Hello everyone,I'm trying to get an RTC output on pin C13 using a Bluepill STM32F103C8T6, but it's not working.I have connected LED to PC13 to see the LED blinks every 512hz but its on all the time. Can someone help me.

I am using a STM32F103 and having issues to make an USB application.I generated the project using CubeMX and I am not being able to transmitt a message.Here is the configuration:Main is like this (It is C++ in case it matters): int main(void) { HAL_Init(); SystemClock_Config(); MX_USB_DEVICE_Init(); while (true) { HAL_Delay(100); volatile uint8_t result = CDC_Transmit_FS((uint8_t*) secondLine, strlen(secondLine)); if (result != USBD_OK) { } } }   After inspecting in debug mode the CDC_Transmit_FS function I saw it was returning "USBD_BUSY": uint8_t CDC_Transmit_FS(uint8_t* Buf, uint16_t Len) { uint8_t result = USBD_OK; /* USER CODE BEGIN 7 */ USBD_CDC_HandleTypeDef *hcdc = (USBD_CDC_HandleTypeDef*)hUsbDeviceFS.pClassData; if (hcdc->TxState != 0){ return USBD_BUSY; } USBD_CDC_SetTxBuffer(&hUsbDeviceFS, Buf, Len); result = USBD_CDC_TransmitPacket(&hUsbDeviceFS); /* USER CODE END 7 */ return result; }  I saw that hcdc

Hi everyone! I'm trying to run the STM32N6 (using the STM32N6570-DK discovery kit) in Execute-in-Place mode. I followed the official tutorial for this, and everything works fine. The tutorial uses very low clock speeds for the CPU and AXI, namely 64 MHz, which is of course way too slow for actually using this. Increasing the CPU clock (SYSA) in CubeMX to 600 MHz works fine. However, as soon as I increase the SYSB clock (AXI) to anything higher than around 120-160 MHz (400 MHz should be maximum?) it stops working completely. Of course I made sure that XSPI2 stays at 50 MHz all the time (because I did not enable the I/O speed optimization for higher XSPI speeds). Is there anything else that needs to be done in order to use the MCU at its full speed when doing XIP? I also tried a simple FSBL-only project (executing from RAM, so no XIP) and that works fine with 400 MHz SYSB clock. LRUN applications do not work, though, similar to XIP.Thanks a lot for your help, any tips are a

Hi, I recently started learning TouchGFX. And faced with the need to use the graphics work with the screen without the Touch panel. Instead, there will be physical buttons. Is there an example of how to implement this?

Does STM currently have a guideline or recommendation(s) for handling the 2038 problem?

I am working on stm32h573i-dk board... i want x-cube-azrtos-h5 for Netx duo...but there is no option to download this...manually io download it from st website but how to link to ide

Hi,STM32U5A5VJT6Q has 2 VDD11 pins. Should these be connected together using an external trace on a PCB? I did look at Nucleo U5A5ZJ-Q schematic but I'm still not sure. Thanks,Adam

I finally got the following code to function after forcing a compiler error to see what registers the compiler was selecting for the inline assembly output and inputs. What I found was that the compiler was using register R3 for both output (count) and the first input. To work around this I created an "unused" variable and made it the first item in the input list and did not use argument %1 in the code.Is this due to a bug or limitation in compilation of ARM inline assembly that results in the same register being used for output and the first input?   uint32_t numOnes(uint32_t value) { uint32_t unused = 0; // not used uint32_t bit = 32; // number of bits uint32_t count = 0; // number of ones asm ( "loop:\n\t" // loop "TST %2,#1\n\t" // mask for bit0 "BEQ continue\n\t" // branch if bit0 is 0 "ADD %0,#1\n\t" // bit0 is 1 so increment count # "continue:\n\t" // jump to here if bit0 is 0 "LSR %2,#1\n\t" // move next bit into bit0 position "SUBS %3,#1

Our product is based on an STM32WB5MM. On the STM32WB, we have privacy enabled and use the filter/acceptance list. When the filter/acceptance list is not enabled, we want the device to be able to connect to a Garmin device. Unfortunately, the device does not appear in the scan results. We’ve confirmed that when privacy is disabled, the device appears in the results without issues. This Garmin incompatibility with BLE devices using resolvable private address (RPA) is known (https://forums.garmin.com/developer/connect-iq/i/bug-reports/not-all-ble-devices-found-by-scanning?CommentId=0740ab84-c44f-49a2-a165-5aff687d5435).My question is: is it possible to keep privacy enabled while advertising with a static random address instead of an RPA?If this is not possible, what workaround could we use to allow both RPA-compatible and non-RPA-compatible devices to connect? Thanks in advance.

Hello community,I need to use the AES-CMAC functionality of the STM32L562QE.The datasheet says that it is supported :But it seems that the reference manual doesn't say anything about CMAC functionality. Is there really a way to use the AES coprocessor to compute AES-CMAC, or did I miss something ?Thank you in advance,Adrian

Hi ,I can find AES DPA in TFM demo application, but  can't find TDES DPA implementation in TFM.Please advise how to implement TDES DPA.

Hello,I created already several SD-cards images (.raw) using the `create_sdcard_from_flashlayout.sh` script, from both starter kit and Yocto build.Note: Currently working on the STM32MP256 evaluation board. We would like to have something similar with USB:1) Create a *.raw image2) Use `dd` or Raspberry Pi Imager to flash the USB memory3) Select the boot pins on the evaluation board (all-zeros for USB boot)4) Insert the USB memory5) Power-on and wait until Linux is loaded. To my surprise, this process that works fine for sdcards does not work for USB (The card does not boot). This also makes sense considering that :* The script is called `create_sdcard....` and not `create_usb`* The *.tsv are either _emmc_ or _sdcard_But why there is not _usb_ tsv or create_usb script? All the documentation found about USB is by connecting the computer and using the USB link to flash the emmc. This is fine in some environments, but not in others. How to create a bootable OpenST-Linux USB memory ?

I am currently working with the STM32H573I-DK discovery kit and am trying to enable Ethernet connectivity using LWIP in STM32CubeMX and STM32CubeIDE. However, I have noticed that the LWIP option is not available in STM32CubeMX for this board.Could you kindly guide me on how to enable Ethernet functionality with LWIP on the STM32H573I-DK? Is there any recommended procedure or workaround to add Ethernet support if the option is not directly available in STM32CubeMX?Any guidance, reference materials, or example projects would be highly appreciated. How to use the LwIP Ethernet middleware on the STM32H5 series....I already saw this...but so many error

Hi CommunityI can not find the " HAL manual M1785 User manual Description of STM32F0 HAL and low-layer driver"  pdf file in the dedicated webpage for this product, which is the following page:https://www.st.com/en/microcontrollers-microprocessors/stm32f0-series/documentation.htmlto find this file I have to google it and the google gives me the link bellow to  download the file;https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um1785-description-of-stm32f0-hal-and-lowlayer-drivers-stmicroelectronics.pdf  can some one give me the location of these kind of manuals on the dedicated page of MCUs? thanksArash

I have a HC-06 module being run via USART from a STM32F411RE NUCLEO board. When I run STBLEToolbox (or LightBlue) the module doesn't appear in the scan list (all filters are off)Yet when I open my Bluetooth settings on my phone the module shows up & I can pair with it. The module still doesnt show in the app even when paired though but I can use a serial Bluetooth app to connect to it. What am I missing here?

I googled how to make this change.  I found several references to class members setBackgroundColor, setButtonColor, setBoxColor but none of them work (are members).  I checked BoxWithBorderButtonStyle.hpp and could find no reference to any of these nor any (obvious) function that would allow me to change the color.  The documentation that I can find online does not match my results.  Any feedback would be helpful.  I am using TouchGFX 4.24.2

Hello everyone,I'm trying to use the loopback mode on the  STM32F4DISCOVERY. I configured the CAN peripheral and i started the transmission by adding data but when i try to verify the reception process i can't find data in the RxHeader.
