Hello, I am trying to get the X-LINUX-ISP expansion installed onto a MP257-DK board. I can not connect the board to a network at this time, so I have resorted to trying to build a distribution following the instructions here. When I run bitbake, patches start to be applied and one of them fails, as shown here: patch already applied  I am not familiar with build system being used here and have been unable to figure out where it is being given a list of patches to apply so that I can try and prevent the patch from being applied multiple times. I did attempt renaming the patch file to try and keep it from being found and applied, but that did nothing. I have been unable to find any series file that the Quilt command may be using. If anyone could please point me in the right direction on what I need to do to avoid this error, that would be appreciated. I am also curious about creating a distribution that will be flashed to eMMC. All the tutorials on the wiki assume the user is fine wi

Hi there,ContextI implement a basic code where I check the reset cause flag SFTRSTF (i.e. software reset). If this flag is active, I activate the LED on (LED off otherwise).I read out the reset cause from:uint32_t myResetCause = RCC->CSR; RCC->CSR |= RCC_CSR_RMVF; // Clean reset causes for next start IssueAfter flashing this code, I power off my MCU and I remove the debugger cable. Then I power on my MCU and it activates the LED, meaning the software reset has been detected, but I triggered an hardware reset ...!Do I miss to clean another register? Is there any information somewhere about this behavior? Is it an expected behavior??

HiI am using VL53L4CD for detecting presence of an object at a distance below 300mm. I have considered Examnple4 Ultra Low Power as the base. I am able to get the interrupts when an object comes below 300mm distance as expected. But in this scenario if the object stays at a distance below 300mm I keep on getting the interrupts after a  regular interval. What I want to implement is that I should get interrupt once an object comes below 300mm and once when it goes away. Is it possible to get this functionality?

Hi everyone,I’m having trouble generating a project for the STM32H747I-DISCO board because my AI model exceeds the 1024 KB flash limit allocated for the M7 core (it takes up around 1.09 MB). To solve this, I’m trying to use more memory by following this guide: How to run larger models on STM32H747I-DISCO Here are the steps I followed:Create an empty project for the board, selecting not to initialize the default peripherals.Enable X-CUBE-AI and set the application mode to "Validation".Modify the memory pool from the Tools tab.Reducing the flash allocated for the M4to 64 KB and chaning the boot addressIncrease the flash available for the M7In the X-CUBE-AI configuration screen, I load the model (and at this step I select to optimize the clock and the peripherals), then when I try to generate the code, I get a warning stating that the model exceeds the 1024 KB flash limit. If I ignore the warning and proceed, the generated project appears incomplete and I can't move on buil

Hi everyone,I'm trying to perform a validation test on an STM32H747I-DISCO, but I haven't been able to get it working. Here's what I'm doing:On the ST Edge AI Developer Cloud, I select the model "CNN2D_ST_HandPosture_8classes_hand_posture_ST_VL53L5CX_handposture_dataset.h5", then proceed to quantize and optimize it.I run a benchmark and then download the project for STM32CubeMX 6.14.I open the project and, in the Software Packs, I select "Device Application" for the M7 core and enable the "Validation" option under STMicroelectronics.X-CUBE-AI. I then save the project.Next, I open the generated project in STM32CubeIDE 1.18, compile the code for the M7 and M4 cores in Release mode, and program the STM board. So far, everything works fine. When I press the reset button I can see # # AI Validation 7.1 # Compiled with GCC 13.3.1 STM32 device configuration... Hi,I'm having an issue implementing USB device composite functionality on my Nucleo-H753ZI board. I've been following the tutorial series at https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-implement-the-usb-device-composite-class-in-stm32-using/ta-p/645017 to set up a composite device using USB_OTG_FS in device-only mode.I've also examined and tried implementing the example code from the official ST repository at https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/x-cube-azrtos-h7/ but I still couldn't solve the issue. USB_OTG_FS: Clock Configuration:Usbx:

I was recently working on STM32H563ZI nucleo board like connecting peripherals like LTE module, I2C sensors like MPU6050, LCD display, SPI modules like W25Q flash storage, USB  and some analog module like potentiometer. As per normal coding of individual  peripherals resources were available but for smooth integration of all the peripherals i was planning to use DMA for reducing the load for smooth operation. But i didn't get any clear documentation or resources of using GPDMA (present in STM32H563ZI)  for I2C, SPI and  UART. As i was planning to use FreeRTOS instead of Azure RTOS (ThreadX) because how to implement it as in this microcontroller there  is USBX which works on ThreadX. I followed the resources on Youtube from official STMicroelecronics channel, followed the same but the code was not working as expected.I was going through reference manual the peripheral was USB, that means it can be used without  RTOSI need help in resources for GPDMA for I2C

Hello, I made a design aligned to the STEVAL-2STPD01 (just one channel). The USB D+ and D- are connected to a hub (upstream) that is on the same PCB. If I connect the USB-C cable to a laptop, the laptop starts charging but no USB device on the hub is connected. If I use a USB-C to USB-A adapter and then adapt the USB-A to USB-C (USB-C cable just with VBat, D+, D-, and GND), all devices on the hub are connected. Could it be a problem that the laptop switches to USB device mode if a USB-PD charger is connected? Is it possible to use USB-PD and USB 2.0 (D+ and D-) at the same time? Does any configuration option in the USB-PD exist that leaves the laptop in USB 2.0 host mode? Does anyone have experience with this topic?  [Laptop USB2.0 Host]----USB-C Cable----[PCB ---->D+/D-------------------------> HUB up stream                                              &

I'm using the stm23F103C8 and I would use the RTC internal cloak/calendar. The program is working fine and I have used the LSE osc (32KHz..) as clock source. I have connected a 3V battery to the VBAT pin. My problem is that the switching off the main supply (3.3V) the LSE and RTC stops (vrified with scope).Attached the main.c.Can you help me??

I am experiencing an issue with my STM32-based project. All interrupt handlers never invoked, including the SysTick handler and USART1_IRQ_Handler. I try to resolve the problem. here is my trying... 1. Vector Table Offset Register (VTOR) Configuration:I have explicitly set SCB->VTOR = 0x08000000 to ensure the vector table points to the correct memory address. Despite this, the issue persists. 2. SysTick Initialization:The HAL_InitTick function successfully initializes the SysTick, returning HAL_OK. 3. Global Interrupts:I have attempted disabling and re-enabling global interrupts using __disable_irq() and __enable_irq() before initialized, but this had no effect. 4. Real-Time Operating System (RTOS):No RTOS is being used in this project. The setup involves minimal configuration, primarily focusing on clock settings, which have been verified to function correctly. 5. SysTick Control and Status Register:The CTRL register's 16th bit is set to 1, indicating

Hello!!iam trying to read a bin file of my touchgfx project which has along with bootloader code in it. while when we generate the bin the linker script is genarate along with bootloader code.but here i need a only a bin which has application data which will starts from 0x90000000. how can i do this why i need? i need this becouse i wrote my custom bootloader which will read the data using usb and write it in starting address of 0x90000000 and after successfully written then my code jump from the starting address.i have tried removing below parameters from project:BOOTLOADER (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 128kTARGET(binary) /* specify the file format of binary file */INPUT (../../ExtMem_Boot/bootloader.bin) /* bootloader bin file path (relative to the output folder)*/OUTPUT_FORMAT(default) /* restore the out file format */ .bootloader :{. = ALIGN(4);KEEP(../../ExtMem_Boot/bootloader.bin)} > BOOTLOADERafter that build it and i flashed it in my board using my cus

Hello Guys!Im using STM32H743IITx MCU and W25Q128 QuadSPI. i want to know that how to use MDMA feature for QuadSPI.Thanks.

Hello folks! The STM32H743VC Processor has two pins, that have a "_C" at the end of the name:Pin 17: "PC2_C" and Pin 18: "PC3_C" When I want to know what the C means, the Datasheet  says: refer to the reference manual.DS12110 Rev 10 - page 67 - Pin Description, Footnote (6) on Pin 17 and 18:There is a direct path between Pxy_C and Pxy pins/balls, through an analog switch. Pxy alternate functions are available on Pxy_C when the analog switch is closed. The analog switch is configured through a SYSCFG register. Refer to the product reference manual for a detailed description of the switch configuration bits. The Reference Manual tells me, that I can close an analog switchRM0433 Rev 8 - Chapter 12.3.1 - Page 548+: (for PC2_C):This bit controls the analog switch between PC2 and PC2_C (dual pad)0: Analog switch closed (pads are connected through the analog switch)1: Analog switch open (2 separated pads)But there is no further information, where this connection goes to. I have no add

Hi,I'm trying to run the whole ST-Linux-stuff on one core only to have the other one available for a time-consuming application. However, it seems the kernel-parameter isolcpus is not used, dmesg gives an output[ 0.000000] Kernel command line: root=PARTUUID=e91c4e10-16e6-4c0e-bd0e-77becf4a3582 rootwait rw earlycon console=ttySTM0,115200 isolcpus=0 [ 0.000000] Unknown kernel command line parameters "isolcpus=0", will be passed to user space. [ 2.309368] isolcpus=0The message is correct, also with this parameter set, the processes are spread over all cores. What could be the problem here? Thanks!

Hello,ST experts I have read Wiki on https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Connectivity:Introduction_to_LoRaWAN. And we want to build a LoRAWAN based on STM32WL series MCU. But it seems not very clear what is the performance of the LoRA gateway. E.g. 1km distance from endnode to gateway, 100 endnodes, about 1K bytes per endnode, can a single gateway afford it? Or how much I need? Best RegardsYang

The problem ethernet link with NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q.The conditions are as follows:Board: NUCLEO-H755ZI-QEthenet select core: CM4STM32Cube_FW_H7: V1.12.1LWIP: V2.1.2DHCP clientIn this case, the Ack from the DHCP server could not be confirmed as being received.dhcp->pcb_allocated is set to 0 (in function of dhcp_recv()).A similar error has not occurred with CM7.Do you happen to know the reason for this?

Can someone tell me if I’m understanding this correctly? In the documentation for the STM32F030R8T6 chip, specifically the "RM0360 Reference Manual", there’s a diagram showing how to connect an external crystal oscillator ("Figure 12. HSE/LSE clock sources"). In this diagram, the crystal is connected directly to the OSC_IN and OSC_OUT pins, with no series resistor on the OSC_OUT line to limit the drive level. However, on the STM32F030 DISCOVERY board, there is such a resistor – R22 – even though the crystal is not installed by default. I added the crystal I wanted to use and measured the current through it (using a current clamp), and it became clear that it was being driven beyond its specified power limits. That’s when I realized the need for the series resistor (R22). I calculated the appropriate resistance value and installed it – but it didn’t reduce the current through the crystal at all. After further investigation, I discovered that the OSC_OUT pin on the microcontroller is actual

I use IIS3DWB with no LPF2 enabled, and I understand the Frequency response shown in Figure 13 at page 20 of the datasheet.I know that I can enable low-pass LPF2 filter, but from the same graph I don't understand if this filter can be enabled as a hardware anti-aliasing filter, or not.I mean, after I enable ODR/4 (as an example), is it safe decimating ODR by 4, or not? This decimation is safe if LPF2 is a hadrtware filter that "cuts away" every frequency above (ODR/2)/4.From the graph it doesn't seem so, but i't not 100% clear IMHO Thanks in advance for the clarification.

I was using STM32CubeIDE version 1.16. It was crashing occasionally. Then I wanted to update to version 1.18. It started to crash constantly while updating. Then I cleaned the program with all its extensions and reinstalled the new version(1.18). But the problem was not solved and it keeps crashing.I checked the form and your answers. I couldn't find any solution for this.Below is a screenshot of the errors I receive.

I have 5kW QS138 BLDC motor within my e-bike project with my own motor controller electronics. I have measured inductance and series resistance from the motor with a precision LCR meter: Lq [mH]Rs [ohm]Ld [mH]Rs [ohm] Ld/Lq       120 Hz0.0310.0030.0210.003 0.671 kHz0.0300.1110.0210.067 0.6910 kHz0.0270.2100.0190.148 0.7220 kHz0.0250.5750.0180.390 0.72At MCSDK one inserts the motor parameters and other drive settings. My PWM frequency is 15 kHz with equal FOC update rate. Now should the motor parameters be inserted to the program as measured with this PWM frequency? Or are they assumed to be "static DC values"?By using "15 kHz" values, I get following parameters: Rs = 0.2 ohm, Ld = 0.019 and Ld/Lq = 0.72Going to the "DC end": Rs = 0.003 ohm, Ld = 0.021 and Ld/Lq = 0.67Any suggestion which is the correct end to start iterating?

When I enter standby mode using HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode(), the program is expected to halt at __WFI() until awakened, after which it should restart from the beginning. The function is shown as followed.  However, in my case, after executing __WFI(), the program immediately jump out from __WFI(), proceeds to execute subsequent statements. Debugging shows that the C1SBFflag in the PWR_EXTSCR register is not set, indicating the MCU failed to enter standby mode. This issue occurs specifically when disconnecting a peripheral (indirectly connected via a slave chip).I check the SLEEPDEEP bit in SCR register and LMPS bits in PWR_CR1 register, all bits is set to 1 when program stopped at the breakpoint of CLEAR_BIT(SCB->SCR, ((uint32_t)SCB_SCR_SLEEPDEEP_Msk));shown in the picture.I also check the WUF flags in PWR_SR1, no bit set to 1. I would like to inquire about the possible reasons that might prevent an MCU from entering standby

STM32CubeIDE 1.17.0, Win 11 x64I have a number of related projects in the space workspace (WS). I can copy & paste them into the same WS with no problem within CubeIDE. New project folders are created within the WS directory & show up in the Project Manager list. All these project folders exist within the WS directory. When I import a project from outside the WS using Open Projects from File System... they import fine & show up in the Project Manager list. BUT when I try to cut & paste a project folder from outside of the WS directory into the WS directory via Windows Explorer & then try an add it to the Project Manager list in CubeIDE via Open Projects from File System... I get nothing, no import error messages, nothing. The project file doesn't appear in the Project Manager list, nothing!Anyone know why this is?

Hi,The recent webinar with your partner Edge Impulse on 26th March was useful to taste the capabilities of STM32N6. Until now in my previous STM32 MCU projects are built with ST official tools like STM32CubeMX. But there is no much information available on using official ST tools (not your partner tools) to use STM32N6 devices. Can you please provide more training material on this new device and using it with the ST official tools, probably providing a workshop on STM32N6 please?

When "Middleware and Software Packs" > STM32_WPAN is enabled in  CubeMX, a duplicated initialization's code for uwTimclock is generated: That code is outside the if-else block overriding the previous configurations which could produce issues.   Any idea about what could be wrong?   Note: I attached the .ioc file. Details: CubeMX version: 6.14.0 File: stm32wbaxx_hal_timebase_tim.c

I don't know the internal structure of the TS3330AMR IC.Is there a functional block diagram of the IC's internal structure?
