Is there a way to have this breakpoint only enabled at the start of the debug session? So, when the code is first loaded, it will stop at main(); but then after subsequent resets I set my own breakpoint. It doesn't appear in the list of breakpoints, so I can't clear/disable it from there.

Hi,I have the ST25R3911B-DISCO connected to my Win 10 laptop and ST25R3911B Discovery GUI software is not finding the board. When I select Tag Editor in the software this is the message returned This is the message received when I try to upgrade the FWIt appears that the USB driver for the board is not installed correctly. I also tried this same install on a Win 11 and another Win 10 machine with the exact same results. What am I missing? Do I need to install a USB driver to allow the ST25R3911B Discovery GUI to see the board?

Hi to all.I'm trying the VL53L4CD nucleo expansion board. My goal is to use this ToF sensor to detect a very small change in  distace, starting from about 5 mm.The idea is use this VL53L4CD  sensor to detect if the distace become greater than 5mm. (5 mm could be from 2 to 6. No measurement is necessary).I have read the other posts and I agre than VL53L4CD can't be used for measurement < 7mm (better 10).But can it be used as a  "switch"? Is this VL53L4CD  the correct choice?

Hi,I am currently working with the example projects from the ST25FTM library inside the STSW-ST25R-LIB. In the AN5512 it is mentionend that the file "st25ftm_config_hal.h" needs to be provided and is the same for all NFC readers. This file (in the examples) contains the macro "#define ST25FTM_CRYPTO_ENABLE 0". But the AN5512 doesn't mention this macro and also when I search for references to this macro in the project it doesn't find any.My question is: does this macro do anything when defined as 1? And if not, what other options are there for the ST25R3916B reader (or STM readers in general) in terms of encryption?Kind regards,Jonas

Hi,I bought a VL53L1X Breakout board ToF sensor that I want to connect to a Raspberry Pi 3.I need to connect the VIN, GND, SDA and SCL.The documentation shows which pins are what, but it confuses me, as the layout in the documentation seems to be different than the boards itself.Of the 10 pin holes on the board, one hole has a square around it, indiciating that would be pin 1. Across would be pin 2, and then on to the next row for the rest. The square is on the outside column of the board. However in the documentation pin 1 is on the inside column of the board. What is the correct way to connect this?VIN isn't specified on the board, does it have adifferent name?I'm new to all of this, so I'm sorry if I ask the obvious.Any help much appreciated.

I do not know if this is appropriate place to ask but I will try. We are integrating the STM STL library and we cannot get the flash test to be successful.This, this, this nor this helped. I believe we are generating the checksums correctly, we tried either post-build step as recommended in the user manual or running the script separately in the CMD. We can see that the CRCs are written in the memory the same way they are written in the .elf. StlFlashStatus is being set to STL_FAILED every time. Our MCU is STM32H723ZG with 1 MB of flash. Therefore in the configuration, ROM start address is set to 0x08000000UL and ROM end address is set to 0x080FFFFFUL. We are trying flow similar to the default examples, either single test or multiple tests. ROM start address is set to 0x08000000U, even when trying to check 1 flash section, StlFlashStatus is set to STL_FAILED.Unfortunately we do not have Nucleo H743ZI to test the example project

Hello to everyoneI'm using the board NUCLEO-C071RB. I already done the firmware, and it seems work fine.Because now i must build my board i check again my project:I forgot to set PF0-PF1 (Osci IN OUT) and PC14-PC15(OSCX IN OUT). It would huge problem so why does the MCU work fine?

Is there a way to see how CubeIDE is expanding/pre-processing this code?typedef struct { int16_t x; int16_t y; int16_t z; } TouchPoint; #define TS_Point(_x, _y, _z) { .x = _x, .y = _y, .z = _z } TouchPoint Touch_FT6236_GetPoint(uint8_t n) { Touch_FT6236_ReadData(); if ((touches == 0) || (n > 1)) { return ((TouchPoint)TS_Point(0, 0, 0)); } else { return ((TouchPoint)TS_Point(touchX[n], touchY[n], 1)); } } Its compiling, but I'm getting weird values.

Hi,on the STM32MP257-DK board, the wires between the MPU and the RAM have an interesting shape:What is the reason for these non-direct wires? Have the same length for all the wires? Shielding? Some noise-thingy?Thanks!

Dear Community,i'm looking for a solution for NFC antenna of range ~10mm and M24SRxx-Y. The space on double layer PCB (1.6mm) is limited to max. +/- 20mm x 8mm, tag should be read by a mobile app.Does anyone experienced / has a reference design for such requirements ? I have found a MATRIX-M24SR - Matrix of multiple antenna for M24SR - Documentation purpose only - STMicroelectronics - there is a SMD coil antenna which can fit, but I'm afraid that it will not couple well with mobile antenna, which probably is much bigger. Does anoyone tested this antenna design on bench, what is a reading distance and performance ?Thanks for help and regards !

Hello,I use tft screen with touch panel. All buttons react on the touch correct beside radioButton and toggleButton. I used "small version" of toggleButton and medium of radioButton. Screen 240x320. When both of that buttons are on the centrer of the screen it correct reacts to touch. When that buttons are on the left or on the right of screen they not react on the touch. I am sure that touch screen library works correct. Reading of touching coordinates works very well and the measurement is accurate. It looks more like the error lies more with TouchGFX.

Hi, I was wondering if there is a reference design available for STM32WB55 based product. I am designing a system based on this MCU using the datasheet and application notes such as AN5165, but it always helps to see implementation of existing product. One I found was NUCLEO-WB55RG, but I cannot find schematics, are they public? If there are any other reference designs that are close enough, could someome point me to them please?Best regards,STMDesigner

Hello to everyone.I'm using the  board NUCLEO-C071RB, and now i want project my board.I have a question about the pin PB3:From the schematic it seems PB3 = SWO but if i try to configure the pin with STM32CubeIde i don't find that option.

I intend to design a microcontroller circuit with a BTA40-600B RD91 to control the power delivered to a heating resistor (220Vrms, 12Ω, 4KW). I thought about using the MOC3023 to mediate the activation of the BTA40, but I don't know if it is the most suitable optocoupler. Another question is about the snubber circuit. The load is purely resistive, so is a snubber circuit really necessary? Thanks for the help.

Hi,I'm aware of the manual from https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP157x-DK2/Let%27s_start/Populate_the_target_and_boot_the_image but it does not solve my problem as it seems to be completely faulty:different to the description, not USB has to be choosen as connection but UARTwhen downloading, there is never a completion-message but it always ends up with an timeout (no matter what image I try)at the end, it comes up with an error message "Partition 0xBB not found in TSV file"the resulting SD-card obviously has not changed at all after this cycleSo where can I get an image for the Sd-card that can be copied with a simple imager or the dd-command from Linux instead of following this non-working, complicated procedure?

We have implemented the following circuit. This matches the application circuit given in datasheet of LDO29300P2MTR.But it does not yield expected output. We need help!!

Hello,I am trying to run a BLDC motor using the MC control SDK. The BLDC motor is the following: BLDC 40P30F16P2.063D by MinebeaMitsumi. First, I entered its parameters in MC Workbench + made the profiling for its mechanical parameters, however this step didn't went as expected since I cannot run the motor in full speed, the MC Pilot gives me speed feedback error.Anyway, I was able also to get the electrical angle offset using the oscilloscope (you can find the picture attached) (which is 120 degree). In addition, I tried to run the motor in Voltage and Current open loop as per the manual. I was able to run it without major problem. However, when I want to run it in closed loop using the hall sensors, the motor won't turn smoothly. It starts to do a back and forth movement. I tried to tune the PI of the speed control however nothing is changing. + I monitored the hall effect sensor through oscilloscope when I command the motor to run, there are is no noise affecting the hall effect

Hello everyone,I’m a computer engineering student looking to build a custom Time-of-Flight (ToF) camera around the VD55H1 sensor die. I have multiple projects I would love to do that require a TOF sensor/camera, but as I have searched around they are often quite expensive. As a student on a tight budget, I decided to build my own TOF camera instead —not only to cut costs but also to gain a lot of experience and do a fun project. However, I’m finding the available documentation and reference designs a bit sparse, and I have several questions on how to get started. I have a lot of experience in low-level programming, but I'm relatively new to hardware design and PCB development. I’ve settled on the VD55H1 (0.54 Mpix iToF sensor die), as I found most other TOF sensor dies has really small resolution, and most of my project requires a detailed point cloud. Now for all of my questions:The VD55H1 data brief references an illumination system (VCSEL + Laser driver). Is the “

Hello. I would like to write my own bootloader, but jump function does not work. could you send a complete example for stm32U575.

Designing custom board based on STM32F746G-DISCO.  I am using the TQFP chip, so a few less IO.   The DISCO board uses a 4 wide data, but I do not have enough pins so I will only have 1 bit wide data.  I only want to use SD card to be able to upload new firmware via bootloader. Can the bootloader work with 1 bit data?

@Tesla DeLorean  Hi! I wonder if someone can help me! I am trying to initialize a LCD screen and I have some questions. I am using a STM32F469IIT6, and it does not have enough memory in itself to hold a buffer for my screen 800x480. I did not set up a DMA to use an external memory o handle the buffer, however I have the following questions: I - What would happen if I assign a smaller buffer for the LTDC? will it still paint partial part of the screen, or it will not work at all? II - Once I set the background colors in the .ioc, give the buffer address in the configuration and do not use the function: HAL_LTDC_SetAddress(&hltdc, buffer, 0), will the buffer be filled with the colors set in the background?   I've set up a logic analyzer to try to answer these questions, however, unless I am understanding it wrongly, my buffer is so small compared to the size that I need, that it is being very difficult to identify the colors I am inserting, if it is the case that I am

Hello, As a newbie to STM32 , Could some experts please answer these questions for meIs there any basic documentation that provides an overview of what software i will be needing installed on the PC? This is what is my understanding so far, there is STM32CubeIDE and STM32CubeMX, STM32CubeIDE is an eclipse based IDE and the STM32CubeMX is a standalone graphical user interface to configure the different MCU peripherals. But I read somewhere that the CubeMX is now integrated into STM32CubeIDE (so why do we need the standalone STM32CubeMX anymore)? Regarding the ST-Link debugger , do we need to get a separate standalone debugger/Flasher ? I think the discovery boards come with the debugger circuitry ..so all i need is a USB cable? Please confirm. Is it absolutely necessary to use CMSIS? , I notice that when we generate code always there is a CMSIS folder being created. Cant a project be made without the bloated HAL libraries, Is there an option for this?, If so any documentat

Hello, I am using the NucleoWL55 for transmitting and receiving the data. I am able to transmit and receive the data in HEX, and when I observed in SDR# using RTL SDR I observed the burst data. I want to know if the NucleoWL55 can transmit the CW data or not?,,  Please, help

Hi everyone,I'm currently working on a BLDC motor control project using the STM32F103RB (Nucleo-F103RB) board. I have two questions regarding handling 5V logic signals with this MCU:I need to read 5V logic-level signals from a BLDC motor's Hall sensors. As far as I understand, most GPIOs on the STM32F103RB are designed for 3.3V logic. However, I read that some GPIOs are 5V-tolerant.→ How can I configure GPIO pins in STM32CubeIDE to safely accept 5V logic inputs from the Hall sensors? Is there any specific setting in the GPIO configuration in CubeMX/IDE, or are the 5V-tolerant pins automatically handled by the hardware?I'm also using SPI to communicate with a motor driver IC. In this setup:STM32 sends 3.3V logic signals via MOSI.The motor driver IC responds with 5V logic levels on MISO.→ Is it safe to connect the 5V MISO signal directly to the STM32F103RB? Can STM32 SPI peripherals accept 5V logic levels on the MISO line without damage? If yes, do I need to configure anything specific f

Hello,When I plug this board to my computer, appears a removable disk of 1,6 MB capacity. Is this disk accessible from the MCU? For store small data, or make a dataloggerWhere the filesystem is stored? Neither the STM32F446RE nor STM32F103CB of the STlink have enough capacity
