HelloIs it possible to connect an external memory IC to the stspin via qspi or spi interface and map the addresses into the addressable space of the cpu?

helloI've been trying to use the LSM6DSV on it's steval-mki239a board with a nucleo board (nucleo-l476rg) via SPI and the lsm6dsv is not answering whatever the configuration of my SPI is.The sensor is fine since it work with the steval-mki109v3 board ans the MEMS studioI checked the SPI signal on the steval mki109v3 with a logical analyzer and found several odd things but the sensor is answeringI don't know if it is my analyzer but the MISO line is always stuck at 1 and the level of MOSI are strange but the sensor understand the message and answer with the right value (WHO_AM_I register:  MOSI should send 0x0F and MISO answer 0x70)On the other end I tried to recreate the same configuration on my nucleo board but the sensor doesn't answer any commandI tried:full duplex master CPOL=1 CPHA=1with external pull up on MISOfull duplex master CPOL=1 CPHA=0with external pull up on MISOI tried in master half duplexwith external pull up on MISOI tried master half duplex with CPHA =0 (1 edge)

Hello ST Community,I am looking for an STM32F4 series microcontroller that meets the following requirements::small_blue_diamond: Microcontroller Requirements::white_heavy_check_mark: More than 2 UART ports:white_heavy_check_mark: Quad SPI support:white_heavy_check_mark: Operating frequency: 100-120 MHz:white_heavy_check_mark: Preferred package: TQFP/LQFP, but open to other suggestionsSince this MCU will be used in an embedded system, power efficiency and peripheral availability are key considerations.

Hello,CFG_BONDING_MODE and CFG_FIXED_PIN are not correctly generated and CFG_FIXED_PIN is updated only when IO capability is changed: and this is content of app_conf.h:CFG_BONDING_MODE and CFG_USED_FIXED_PIN are always set to 1.Best regards

I am trying to configure a STM32H7B0 within STM32CubeIDE to use the SAI peripheral.  When I select any SAI, my cursor turns into the spinning blue circle indicating it is busy/working while not showing the configuration screen.  I select any other peripheral and the configuration screen is shown.  After waiting > 8 Hrs for the system to respond (I tried right before leaving for the day) the GUI has still not responded and is not showing the configuration information for the SAI preventing me from fully configuring the peripheral and generating my code.  This happens in both the IDE and in the CubeMX standalone.  I am running the latest versions of both software and my H7 package is up to date.I am looking for additional troubleshooting steps or potential work arounds.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello All, I am currently working on a project where we are using the ST33HTPH2032AHD1 TPM. This TPM is connected to our System on Chip (SoC) via the SPI interface. As I am relatively new to TPMs, I am seeking assistance in testing the TPM functionality from the SoC using SPI. Specifically, I am looking to do this using a standalone application. Here are some details about my setup: TPM Model: ST33HTPH2032AHD1 Connection: SPI Interface I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could provide guidance or share any relevant resources that could assist me in this process. Any sample code, documentation, or step-by-step guides would be extremely helpful. Thank you in advance for your time and support.

I am trying a simple example code for running the server in stm32f407, I have used LAN 8720. The connection are as follows:PA1 -----nINT/RETCLKPA2-----MDIOPA7-----CRSPB11----TX_ENPB12---TX0PB13---TX1PC1----MDCPC4----RX0PC5----RX1 my settings in the cube ide are:RCC--> HSE:crystal/ceramic ResonatorSYS---> Debug: trace asynchronous SWCONNECTIVITY----> ETH: RMIIMIDDLEWARE---> LWIP setting:My  clock configuration settings: my main.c is attached below. I am not able to figure out the problem. I am pinging the IP and it is not responding, the page is showing error "server not responding"

Hi, I have look Extensively THREE different times now to find an assembler reference.  NOT the instruction set, the assembler directives.  Data types declared, conditional assembly (if avail), Everything the Assembler uses to generate machine code. IF there IS one, ST hid it Very Well!  Very frustrating!  TNX  <<<)))

Hi,  I am triyng to develop custom bootloader. My application address is 0x08180000 and bootloader address is 0x08000000. I can start with the bootloader and jump to the application successfully.  while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart1, (uint8_t *)"HELLO", strlen("HELLO"), HAL_MAX_DELAY); HAL_Delay(1000); }The application send "HELLO" message over UART. but when I set MPU configurations I cant see the message coming from application. Here is my MPU configuration.void MPU_Config(void) { MPU_Region_InitTypeDef MPU_InitStruct = {0}; /* Disables the MPU */ HAL_MPU_Disable(); /** Initializes and configures the Region and the memory to be protected */ MPU_InitStruct.Enable = MPU_REGION_ENABLE; MPU_InitStruct.Number = MPU_REGION_NUMBER0; MPU_InitStruct.BaseAddress = 0x08000000; MPU_InitStruct.Size = MPU_REGION_SIZE_1MB; MPU_InitStruct.SubRegionDisable = 0x0; MPU_InitStruct.TypeExtField = MPU_TEX_LEVEL0; MPU_

When I try to compile a inherit project I get this error:c:/st/stm32cubeide_1.17.0/stm32cubeide/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.make.win32_2.2.0.202409170845/tools/bin/sh: syntax error: unexpected "("make[1]: *** [makefile:92: post-build] Error 2make: *** [makefile:60: all] Error 2Can someone please help me? Hi, I have X_NUCLEO-53L5A1 expansion board. I connected this board to ESP8266 inorder to use the VL53L5CX sensor. But the sensor is not being detected.#include <Wire.h> void setup() { Serial.begin(115200); Wire.begin(4, 5); // GPIO4 (SDA), GPIO5 (SCL) Serial.println("\nI2C Scanner - Searching for devices..."); } void loop() { byte error, address; int nDevices = 0; Serial.println("Scanning..."); for (address = 1; address < 127; address++) { Wire.beginTransmission(address); error = Wire.endTransmission(); if (error == 0) { Serial.print("I2C device found at address 0x"); Serial.println(address, HEX); nDevices++; } } if (nDevices == 0) Serial.println("No I2C devices found."); else Serial.println("Scan complete."); delay(5000); // Repeat scan every 5 seconds } I get an output saying no devices found. After researching about it, I found that the sensor is not enabled. How do I enable the sensor and make it work.  Connections:X_NUCLEO-53L5A1&n

Hi,just made an update of CubeMX from 6.11.1 to 6.14.The problem I have is that our comments within user blocks were ISO-8859-1 encoded and this never was a problem until now and with 6.14, when we generate code, all Umlauts are replaced with the UTF-8 sequence EF BF BD.Is there an option to tell CubeMX to use ISO-8859-1 for reading and encoding?

Dear Gfx Team,Could you please make the auto-hiding taskbar in Windows accessible (mouse hits the screen edge) when the Designer is in full-screen mode ?Thanks

I have read the document RM0433 and AN4235, but the calculation is still a puzzle. For example, if my I2C frequency = 1MHz, I2C clock source frequency = 170MHz, AF=on, DF=off, rise time = 80ns, fail time = 10ns, how do you get the SCLH = 0x10 and SCLL = 0x31? Why is low period 3 times as long as high period?I would like to use SCLH to increase the high clock period, as it is at the edge of the spec. It is not clear what parameter I shall change to increase SCLH.Thanks.

Hi team, I have a question about L9396 VBST and VB voltage. The normal operation voltage rage of VBST and VB pin is (-0.1V,19V), and the absolute maxmum ratings of VBST and VB pin is  (-0.3V,40V). So, in case that the voltage is (19V, 40V), what will L9396 behave? If there is any error flag?   Thanks, Paul

I think the correct one should be nBOOT0_SEL(bit) = 0 as in previous version.Please verify.

My very smart technicians say they can cut SB16 from +3V3 and they can solder a 3V CR2032 battery socket onto the STM32H747I-DISCO board safely. It is not an easy job they say. I agree.Unfortunately, STM does not provide a battery backup socket for us on most of the development boards including STM32H747I-DISCO board...Now my question is:If I have battery backup RAM installed and I turn the discovery board on, the CubeMX generated RTC initialization function will modify (overwrite) the RTC date and time registers to its default value. This is what I must avoid because the RTC already contains the exact date and time measured while the board was switched off. How can I do this?Thanks,Louis

The compiler is correctly warning about an int to char conversion for the following code from syscalls.c:extern int __io_getchar(void) __attribute__((weak)); ... __attribute__((weak)) int _read(int file, char *ptr, int len) { (void)file; int DataIdx; for (DataIdx = 0; DataIdx < len; DataIdx++) { *ptr++ = __io_getchar(); // Warning here } return len; }Whilst the behaviour here is as intended (assuming EOF is not expected), the warning is a pain for any projects using -Wconversion.Could this please be fixed by adding a cast?*ptr++ = ( char )__io_getchar();This is for an STM32G484CEUx device, if that's important.

Hi folksI have a problem that seems to common in the SPI field, specifically the idle state of the SCK pin. My application needs a clock low idle state and after the turn on, it goes to high, corrupting the communication with an external SPI flash memory. I'm using STM32 CubeIDE 1.18.0I read here in the forum and internet two workarounds:1.- Turn on the pull-down resistor on the SCK pin.2.- Send a dummy byte without changing the CS state.But those are good methods? What is the advice in this case?Here is the SPI init code:static void MX_SPI1_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN SPI1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END SPI1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE BEGIN SPI1_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END SPI1_Init 1 */ /* SPI1 parameter configuration*/ hspi1.Instance = SPI1; hspi1.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_MASTER; hspi1.Init.Direction = SPI_DIRECTION_2LINES; hspi1.Init.DataSize = SPI_DATASIZE_8BIT; hspi1.Init.CLKPolarity = SPI_POLARITY_LOW; hspi1.Init.CLKPhase = SPI_PHASE_1EDGE; hspi1.Init.NSS = SPI_NSS_SOFT;

Good day ST community! I am a newbie in microcontrollers and only used arduino boards so far. I am looking for tutorials and manuals for fabricating a SPC570S40E1 microcontroller board and program it using  SPC5-UDESTK. I opened this case to the ST online support team but suggested that I should seek help from ST community veterans. Thank you in advance

Hi,The specifications mention multi-protocol support for 4-(G)FSK, 2-(G)FSK, (G)MSK, DBPSK, DSSS, and ASK. However, the reference manual does not explicitly mention GMSK.Can the device demodulate GMSK directly through register settings, or is it only possible via raw IQ data and external software processing?Best RegardsArne

Hey I have a Custom Board with a STM32H743IIT6 (Rev V) (My IOC is attached) i have a clock source with 25 MHZ, and the SDCARD is connected over 4 Bits, and Clock Divider 5.My code runs on main function in to the Error_Handler with Reason "HAL_SD_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED_FEATURE" when no SD-Card is inserted. When i insert a SD-Card befor i powered up, the code runs and the LED is blinking in 1 sec.is this a bug? why must i inserted a sdcard for the boot sequence?main.c:int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ /* USER CODE END 1 */ /* MPU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ MPU_Config(); /* Enable the CPU Cache */ /* Enable I-Cache---------------------------------------------------------*/ SCB_EnableICache(); /* Enable D-Cache---------------------------------------------------------*/ SCB_EnableDCache(); /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash int
