I started working successfully with MC_SDK 6.3.2. I am doing position control application with BLDC motor. In "ST Motor Pilot v1.2.12-PositionControlApp" I want to set "Terget Position" value to values bigger than the set max value. From which file can I do this? And I want to change the variable type from "radian" to pulse etc.

I just submitted my first topic to the technical forum and had it immediately flagged as spam. I have no idea why this occurred and I'd just like to be able to post my topic. Thanks.

Hi We are using STEVAL -TTM001V1 Kit which consists of L9907 driver and trying to interface it with STEVAL-TTM002V1 Controller board (SPC560P50L3)  to run the O-Drive 5312 Motor.   We are using the sample program SPC560P50L3_MotorControl_STEVAL-TTM001V1  from application library to run the motor. We have changed the motor parameters according to O-Drive 5312 motor in the motor settings of the motor control component. Then generated the application code in Observer + PLL ( Sensorless ) mode to run the motor. We are not getting any waveform in the PWM pin when checked with an oscilloscope. We tried to debug the code generated but the variables are showing not found. We also tried by enabling the Demo Mode but still it doesn't work. Do we need to set anything other than motor parameters ? Are we missing out anything else ?

Hi,   Refer to NUCLEO-H753ZI's schematics - mb1364-h753zi-c01_schematic.pdf  1.  About 8 ADC channels go to CN11 and CN12 on this schematics without the pin numbers denoted..     Do all pins on the connectors CN11 and CN12 accessible since there are no physical connectors?   2. PA0_C, PA1_C, PC2_C, PC3_C, PH2, PH3, PH4, PH5  are all ADC channels, but they are missing in the schematics. Why? Below is what I found - ADC1/2.ADC12_INP0   PA0_C.ADC12_INP1   PA1_C.ADC1_INP2    PF11      CN9-11 PF10 DNF?.ADC12_INP3   PA6 CN7-8.ADC12_INP4   PC4* CN12 DNF MORPHO CONNECTOR RIGHT SIDE                       OPAMP1_VOUT, COMP1_INM.ADC12_INP5   PB1       CN9-7                        COMP1_INM.ADC1_INP6    PF12 CN10-7 DNF PF4.ADC12_INP7 &nb

HiIn the reference manual, RM0481 rev1, for analog watchdog window it mentions SQRi and JSQRi registers. I can not find any descriptions about these registers.Can someone help me clarifying this?BrImre

Hi,    I do not use PD8/PD9/PB0 pins in my design. Therefore I did not configure them in CubeMax.    Why NECLEO-H753ZI CUBEMX Pinout View PD8/PD9/PB0 pins are in RED? Thanks, Peter

I connected a external button on my PCB board and am trying to use it to toggle another GPIO Pin (PA8) with HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback()I connected the button to PC4 on my NUCLEO board and is configured as follow: /*Configure GPIO pin : PC4 */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_4; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_IT_RISING; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_PULLDOWN; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOC, &GPIO_InitStruct); In the User Code 4 Section: void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_Pin) { if(GPIO_Pin == GPIO_PIN_4){ HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_8); } } In stm32g0xx_it.c: void EXTI4_15_IRQHandler(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI4_15_IRQn 0 */ /* USER CODE END EXTI4_15_IRQn 0 */ HAL_GPIO_EXTI_IRQHandler(GPIO_PIN_4); // PC4 HAL_GPIO_EXTI_IRQHandler(B1_Pin); /* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI4_15_IRQn 1 */ /* USER CODE END EXTI4_15_IRQn 1 */ }What I dont understand is when I push the button using this configuration it works:In main while-loop: if(triggerDetected==1) { if((HAL_GetTick()-trigge

I want to confirm if the below 3 commands 1,2,3 can be given sequentially or any delay required between them. These 3 commands i am giving when a key is pressed. if(IDLE == MC_GetSTMStateMotor1()) { g_qdreference_s.q = 1000; MC_SetCurrentReferenceMotor1(g_qdreference_s); - command 1 MC_ProgramTorqueRampMotor1(g_qdreference_s.q ,1000); - command 2 (void)MC_StartMotor1(); - command 3 }

I've been trying to create a mesh for 2 weeks now and even just send data from a card to a pc via bluetooth but I'm completely stuck and I really need help. I have 3 sensortile cards. box (STEVAL-MKSBOX1V1) I saw that it had v5.2 BlueNRG-M2 and so normally I could make a mesh using function pack or even the application ios st ble mesh. but I'm totally blocked I wonder if this is even possible.Can anyone give me some pointers, particularly on how to integrate the function pack or something else?

Hello.With a STM32H563, i can change the product state to 0x17 (provisoring), reconnect with HotPlug,start provisoring with my OBK-File and change the production state to closed (0x72) without any problems.I don't use TrustZone.A full regression after this with STMCubeProgrammer and the password.bin file is possible without problems. I use the explanation from the knowledge base here: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-enable-rdp-like-product-state-flash-protection-in-stm32h5/ta-p/708082 If I try the same thing with an STM32H533 and with the same OBK file i used on the STM32H563 ( <DoEncryption>0</DoEncryption> in XML-File : just as stated in the knowledge base for all STM32H5, because the STM32H533 has crypto), i can do the provisoring, can change product state to closed.But after this a full regression is not more possible.Testet with 2 eval boards and with STMCubeProgrammer V2.18 and STMCubeProgrammer V2.19 If i read out the OBK-K

Dear All,How to purchase a 34-pin cable assembly and radiator (especially heatsink) for the STEVAL IPM30B, what are their specifications, and are there existing products available?

There is a new Digital Power software expansion pack for STM32Cube, X-CUBE-DPOWER.https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/x-cube-dpower.html.Does anyone know if the default code generated will immediately work on STEVAL-ISA172V2?https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/steval-isa172v2.html

Hi,We are currently utilizing a custom-designed STM32U5G7 microcontroller for our application with the MSI clock configured to 1 MHz. Despite configuring the device in Sleep and Stop modes, with all GPIO pins set to input and one pin configured as an EXTI interrupt for wake-up, we are observing a current draw of approximately 2mA. Our goal is to reduce the current consumption to the micro ampere range. Could you provide guidance on further optimizing power management and implementing lower-power modes?I have attached the code ,pin out configuration and current drawn  measured using Otii./* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2025 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file * in

Hello all,I discovered that selecting in STM32CubeIDE under Pinout & Configuration/Middleware and Software Packs/ X-CUBE-NFC4 the source folder Middleware/ST/lib_nfc is added to the project source tree, containing the source files for the lib_nfc library.However, while the support fot NFC Type 5 appears complete, the support for Type 4 is not.Are there plans to complete the support?Thanks,Adriano

We use a STM32H743 and I want to connect an external reference voltage to the Vref pins. We use 3 ADCs, and for each ADC, we sample 4 channels. Each channel must be read at 100 ksample/s. The 3 ADCs operate continuously. A common ADC clock of 10 MHz clock is used. The resolution used is 16 bits for each channel. I have the following questions:1) What is the average current drawn from the Vref pin for all 3 ADCs during conversion?2) What is the Radc value?3) The SAR ADC has internal capacitors that are charged/discharged from/to a reference voltage in a very short time during successive approximations. The voltage reference including an external buffer capacitor on the Vref pin must be capable to deliver energy in a short time without changing the Vref voltage. I read that there are buffered and unbuffered voltage references. I'm intended to use a REF3433 and an external capacitor of 10uF. The REF3433 is an unbuffered reference source. Is this type recommended for the STM32H743. Pl

Hi, I am pretty new to STM32 MCUs and I am having trouble with USART communication. I would like to send a message from Nucleo-F401RE to raspberry pi 3b+, and then to display that message in terminal on raspberry. I have tried to use USART2 for this but it didn't work, then i read that USART2 is used when i connect Nucleo to the laptop so i changed the code to use USART1 and it still doesn't work. I have tested the USART2 with the advanced serial monitor on the laptop and it works properly. Bellow are the functions in main.c and uart.c that i am currently using This is the function uart.c, for some reason i couldn't post it as the attachment: #include "moduli/uart.h" #include "stm32f401xe.h" #define BUFFER_SIZE 64 static uint8_t ring_buffer[BUFFER_SIZE]; static uint8_t rb_write; static uint8_t rb_read; void uart1_init() { /* * PA9 --> USART1 TX (AF7) * PA10 --> USART1 RX (AF7) */ RCC->AHB1ENR |= RCC_AHB1ENR_GPIOAEN; RCC->APB2ENR |= RCC_APB2ENR_USART1EN; // Init

Hello all..I have a proprietary pcb with the above mcu.  Board works fine.  I am using BLE but with NO bells and whistles (no encryption, authenication or authorizations.  I decided I wanted to play around with these things so I have been following the MOOC videos on security.  In the following video at 3:12MOOC Pairing video the presenter shows that a pairing window pops up on the screen.  I have done exactly what he has done in short the only change I make is to change a NO to a YES on one of the characteristic permissions for ENCRYPTION READ.  When I try and access this my phone applications (I've tried nRFConnect and ST BLE Toolbox) disconnects and I do NOT get any pairing message.  Other characteristics seem to work fine.  Can anyone tell me what I may have wrong here?  I am using a power supply so no current limit issues and the parameter can be read fine when I turn YES back to NO.ThanksSteve

Hello, I have a problem with setting up PWM on the general purpose timer. I tried setting PWM on timers 2 and 3 using different channels, but I didn't see a PWM signal at the output. I also tried setting up PWM from timer 1 and it worked, but I only need PWM from timer 3. I am using STM8L151K4. I attach the code below.#define F_CPU 16000000UL // 16 MHz#include "stm8l15x.h"void CLK_Setup(void);void GPIO_Setup(void);main(){// Setup    CLK_Setup();    GPIO_Setup();    TIM1_Setup();    PWM_Setup();        // mainloop    while (1){            }}void GPIO_Setup(void){    // Deinitialize all ports registers    GPIO_DeInit(GPIOA);    GPIO_DeInit(GPIOB);    GPIO_DeInit(GPIOC);    GPIO_DeInit(GPIOD);        // Init output pins    GPIO_Init(GPIOD, GPIO_Pin_4, GPIO_Mode_Out_PP_Low_Fast); // timer 1 channel 2

Just joined the community! I'm pretty new to electronics and am still learning the ropes. I'm currently tinkering with a small project involving LEDs and resistors.I'm really excited to learn from all of you and hopefully contribute more as I gain experience. Any tips for a newbie just starting out in the world of electronic components? What are some good resources or topics I should focus on early on?Looking forward to being part of this community!

Hi, I wrote a standard (DFT)Discreate fourier transform code (code is not the issue), in NUCLEO-F207 board using zephyr RTOS. I build the same program for NUCLEO-F767 board and flashed. The time taken to execute DFT code in NUCLEO-F207 was 8700 micro seconds. The time taken to execute the same code in NUCLEO-F767 is 65000 micro seconds. FPU(Floating point unit) is enabled for NUCELO-F767 board  Hardware and softwares are completely same for both the boards How is it happening what is the potential cause ?

Can I do CANFD communication using external CAN controllers(ex:MCP2517FD)?This MCP2517FD controller works with SPI.Microcontroller I'm using: STM32F413VGT3

 So first of all I'm working on creating a yocto image for this board.https://www.seeedstudio.com/Odyssey-MP135D-eMMC-p-5728.htmlMy end goal is to create a meta-layer with an easy to follow yocto quick start guide for this board similar to the one Seeed Studio has for the stm32mp157 variant of their dev board here:https://github.com/Seeed-Studio/meta-st-odyssey/tree/masterI'm not associated with Seeed studio, I'm just doing it because it relates to one of my current projects and think something like this would make this board more useful and approachable.I started by following this guide to get my yocto environment set up to use st's latest branch (mickledore).https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP1_Distribution_PackageNext I patched the linux-stm32mp, optee-os-stm32mp, tf-a-stm32mp, and u-boot-stm32mp recipes to contain Seeed studio's device trees for the board located here.https://github.com/Seeed-Studio/stm32mp1-manifestThere were various issues to work out getting arm trust

Hey folks,I've seen many posts from frustrated users of USB OTG HAL, especially when enabling DMA. I created a fix for data toggle errors (DTERR) when using DMA with USB_OTG_HS HCD paired with full speed embedded PHY on a STM32F4xx.  Hopefully this fixes more than just F4xx.The latest stm32f4xx_hal_hcd.c generated by CubeMX fixes a great deal from the previous HAL code, but still has a bug that causes data toggle errors when using DMA.The interrupt service routine HCD_HC_IN_IRQHandler() handles XFRC interrupts with the following toggling logic:  if (hhcd->Init.dma_enable == 1U) { if ((((hhcd->hc[chnum].xfer_count + hhcd->hc[chnum].max_packet - 1U) / hhcd->hc[chnum].max_packet) & 1U) != 0U) { hhcd->hc[chnum].toggle_in ^= 1U; } } else { hhcd->hc[chnum].toggle_in ^= 1U; } Changing it to this fixed my woes: if (hhcd->Init.dma_enable == 1U) { // Toggle if packet count is odd or xfer_count is an even multiple of max_packet uint32

Greetings!After updating to the latest v5 of NEAI yesterday, benchmarks have failed to cross the initial step of loading in the first library. I suspect this has to do with the number of cores/ threads and memory being allocated to the NEAI process, as the 3221225773 and 3221225794 pwsh codes are dumped in the logs. For reference, my system has a Ryzen 7 4800H and 16 GB of RAM onboard, which hasn't had an issue with running benchmarks in previous versions. Updating to the new 5.0.1 version released earlier today hasn't fixed the issues either. I've attached my logs below.

Hi!I've read the documentation on the ST25TV RF tags here,I'm trying to implement an authentication process which I can use to validate the RFID I'm reading is not a duplicate RF tag.I'm not interesting if the RF tag is a counterfeit tag, meaning that it was manufactured by a counterfeit manufacturer, but am interested in knowing if this tag is indeed one of 'my RFID tags', and not a clone.I assumed I could do this by getting a key from of the RF tags in my system somewhere in my deployment process, then issuing a challenge to the tag when I read it, and having the tag create a signature of the challenge. Only the tag holding the correct private key would be able to correctly sign the challenge and so I would know it is not a clone of my tag.reading the documentation, I don't get the sense this is what the authentication of the ST25TV tags is meant for. Am I misunderstanding something?Thanks in advance!
