Hi,I am trying to plot an array of 512 values in a dynamic graph in touchgfx. This is working as intended but I am experiencing poor performance. When in histogram mode the graph updates quickly however I wish to use line mode and when in this mode, the graph will take between two and three seconds to update. I'm aiming to get the graph to update in around one second. Any ideas on how to optimise the plotting of the graph. Perhaps the way in which the data is passed from Model.cpp into the screenView.cpp?Currently I am passing the data through as such:for(int i = 0; i < 512; i++) { modelListener->UpdateGraph(i, graphData[i]); }Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

We set up classic CAN on the stm32h747I-DISCO dev board and listen for interrupts on every message:extern "C" void HAL_FDCAN_RxFifo0Callback(fdcan_handle* hfdcan, std::uint32_t RxFifo0ITs) { if ((RxFifo0ITs & FDCAN_IT_RX_FIFO0_FULL) != RESET) { LOG_ERROR("FIFO0 full\n"); } if ((RxFifo0ITs & FDCAN_IT_RX_FIFO0_MESSAGE_LOST) != RESET) { LOG_ERROR("FIFO0 message lost\n"); } if ((RxFifo0ITs & FDCAN_IT_RX_FIFO0_NEW_MESSAGE) != RESET) { if (auto* can_reader = can_reader_instance.load(); nullptr != can_reader) { can_reader->flush(can::fdcan1); } } } in flush(), we call HAL_FDCAN_GetRxMessage() over and over to read the FIFO elements into an std::vector and then we print them from the vector. We are anticipating an average message frequency of 1 message per 1ms, but at this speed, we are seeing the FIFO fill up faster than we can read from it. The fastest I have seen a message be handled on our device is around 7ms per message. Should we be able to read the me

I'm trying to crank up the clock to Timer1 to be able to count high frequency events with better resolution.  If I set the SYSCLK to 128 I get a hard fault when my code reaches SystemClock_Config().  Even if I keep the AHB bus at the same speed (64Mhz) using prescaler.  In this case the only clock difference seems to be SYSCLK value. Here's the first configuration which works ok:and here's the other where it will hard fault:Since the IDE says I should be able to take HCLK to 160Mhz which would require a much higher SYSCLK, I don't see why this SYSCLK value should cause a fault.

Hi everyone,I’m working with an STM32H753ZI and trying to interface a 32GB SDHC card via SPI using FatFs.The SPI connection seems fine (I can read 0xFF repeatedly), but the SD card does not respond to CMD0 or CMD8 — both return 0xFF. Hi everyone,I'm trying to drive a WS2812 LED strip (20 LEDs - Strip has 60 LEDs) using an STM32L432KCUx, but so far without success.I've tested multiple approaches — PWM with DMA, SPI-based encoding, and bit-banging via GPIO — but none of them produce stable or correct results. Sometimes up to 22 LEDs light up instead of 20, and the colors are often wrong or appear white.Occasionally, the first LED doesn’t light up at all, which seems to indicate timing jitter or inaccurate bit timing.Setup:Microcontroller: STM32L432KCUxNo external HSE crystal or LSE availableSYSCLK = 48 MHz, tested using both MSI via PLL and HSI via PLLOutput pins used:PA12 for SPI and bit-bangingPA9 for PWM (TIM1_CH2)SPI clock set to 2.4 MHz (used for encoded WS2812 bitstream) SYSCLK = 38MHz3.3 V logic level used for WS2812 data line (no level shifter)LED strip powered with 5 V USB - GND connectedAdditional info:I confirmed the LED strip and wiring are working:Using an Arduino, the same strip works immediately and re

Hello,I'm new to STM32 and trying to learn exciting stuff. I want to light a single LED from my WS2812B strip. For example I will choose 6th LED on my computer and 6th LED on strip will light up.But I'm not sure where to start. How can I access to single LED address? And how to get it work with STM32?Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone, i'm trying to use the vd66gy with the raspbeery Pi x64 connected on cam0 and im following all the steps of the "Linux Start Guide for ST BrightSense" but it still doesnt work. I downloaded the drivers for the camera as well as the libcam st version from this link: https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-img503.html?dl=redirect. However i see that even for the vd66gy driver, the en.vd66gy_1.0.3.zip has all the vd56g3 files and the makefile looks like this: ifneq ($(KERNELRELEASE),) include Kbuild else KVERSION ?= `uname -r` KDIR ?= /lib/modules/${KVERSION}/build default: CONFIG_DRIVER_VD56G3=m $(MAKE) -C $(KDIR) M=$$PWD clean: CONFIG_DRIVER_VD56G3=m $(MAKE) -C $(KDIR) M=$$PWD clean endifIs this a mistake? It looks like the vd56g3 driver. You can confirm by downloading the driver from the link. As a result when i complete all the steps and launch rpicam-hello i get this: rpicam-hello [0:30:33.792539716] [3479] INFO Camera camera_manager.cpp:327 l

Hi,I'm currently working with the STM32G491 MCU to implement low power functionality. I plan to enter Stop mode when a specific condition is met. Hello ST Community,I am using the EVSPIN32F0251S1 board — the 3-phase inverter based on the STSPIN32F0251 SoC — to control a BLDC motor. I am working with the ST Motor Pilot v1.2.12 tool and can see many configuration registers in register section.I would like to request a comprehensive datasheet or reference manual that explains these registers in detail — including their purpose, data format, valid ranges, and effects on motor control. This will help me better tune the motor and understand the system behavior.Any official documentation or application notes related to these register settings would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance!

Hello, this is a general question for my understanding.when I single stepped* through my SPI code, I encountered some unexpected behavior. But when I run over the code, it worked as expected.*During this time, I had the peripheral SPI view opened. So my question is, when the debugger updates the view, e.g. by showing me the content of the SPI_RXDR register in the peripheral view, will this already have an effect on the SPI HW, like when I read the SPI_RXDR with SW ?Or can the debugger read the registers somehow different ?(A read to SPI_RXDR will have effect to RXFIFO and Rx-Flags)

Hi,1. [Part Number] NUCLEO-L432KC2. [Environment] STM32CubeIDE 1.14.13. [Schematics] NA4. [Details] I am trying to measure a fast pulse with the ADC (~3 us rise time). I would like to trip a comparator when the pulse starts to rise and then start an ADC (paced by a timer) to fill a buffer via DMA. After the buffer is full, I will send the data over UART for analysis. The COMP and ADC are both connected to the same input. The COMP is set to trigger when the voltage exceeds that of an external input set to 0.04 volts. The ADC is connected to a timer that triggers at 2 Mhz.I wait for HAL_COMP_TriggerCallback and then start the ADC with DMA: void HAL_COMP_TriggerCallback(COMP_HandleTypeDef *hcomp) { if (hcomp == &hcomp1) { HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc1, (uint32_t*)voltage_buf, VOLTAGE_BUF_LEN); HAL_COMP_Stop_IT(&hcomp1); }} 5. [Problem and Expected behavior] I have configured the above but I am seeing that the first ADC reading starts well after the pulse has started. Hi, We are currently working on integrating software support for the Teseo-LIV3FL GNSS module (specifically, the PNT-SG3FS part) on our OpenQ 8550 SOM Development Kit (https://www.lantronix.com/products/open-q-8550cs-som-development-kit/). The GNSS module interfaces with the 8550 development kit via UART. We have updated the relevant DTSI files in our platform and verified that UART TX/RX communication is functioning correctly. However, when attempting to read the data from the GNSS module, the output appears to be unstructured or junk data. It also seems that the module is not acquiring a satellite fix. Here's a sample of the output we're observing: # microcom -s 9600 /dev/ttyHS5$PSTMVER,GNSSLIB_8.4.18.25_CP_ARM*07$GPTXT,DEFAULT LIV3FL CONFIGURATION*12$PSTMVER,OS20LIB_4.4.0_ARM*40$PSTMVER,GPSAPP_2.11.0.1_CP_LIV3FL_ARM*48$PSTMVER,BINIMG_4.6.15.1_CP_LIV3FL_ARM*4F$PSTMVER,SWCFG_8306532d*33$PSTMVER,STAGPSLIB_6.0.0_ARM*5A$PSTMVER,STA8090_822bc043*61$GPTXT,(C)2000-2018 ST Mic
