Hey All,I hope you can help me. I'm trying to bring up my new board, which contains a STM32N657IO. Attached are the schematics. You can assume the 5V supply is working(it is after a few bodge wires). My problem is as follows. I'm trying to connect to the STM32N6 over SWD using a JLink. It seems the SWD communication with the Debug port is successful, but the communication with the core fails. I get the following output when trying to connect to the MCU:Device "STM32N657I0" selected. Connecting to target via SWD ConfigTargetSettings() start ---Setting ETM Base Address--- ---Setting TF Base Address--- ---Setting ETF Base Address--- ---Setting TPIU Base Address--- ConfigTargetSettings() end - Took 24us InitTarget() start SWD selected. Hello ST Community,I found this forum and the example code to our custom hardware very helpful and are successfully reading both NFC-A/NFC-V and emulating NFC-A on ST25R3918.During testing, I've noticed that NFC-V tags with NDEF messages can also trigger background reads on both iOS and Android. Since NFC-V have longer ranges, would it be better to do CE using this format? At the moment the code is using demoT4T to respond to readers in NFC-A CE (RFAL_NFC_LISTEN_TECH_A) in the rfalNfcDiscoverParam.do { rfalNfcWorker(); switch( rfalNfcGetState() ) { case RFAL_NFC_STATE_ACTIVATED: transceiveBlocking( NULL, 0, &rxData, &rcvLen, &err, 0, false); break; case RFAL_NFC_STATE_DATAEXCHANGE: case RFAL_NFC_STATE_DATAEXCHANGE_DONE: txLen = demoCeT4T( rxData, *rcvLen, txBuf, sizeof(txBuf)); transceiveBlocking( txBuf, txLen, &rxData, &rcvLen, &err, RFAL_FWT_NONE, false ); break; case RFAL_NFC_STATE_START_DISCOVERY: return; case RFAL_NFC_ST

Hi,I am trying to use the STM32H5 CRC unit via HAL to calculate a CRC32 (ISO-HDLC) over multiple chunks.This works correctly via:hcrc.Instance = CRC; hcrc.Init.DefaultPolynomialUse = DEFAULT_POLYNOMIAL_ENABLE; hcrc.Init.DefaultInitValueUse = DEFAULT_INIT_VALUE_ENABLE; hcrc.Init.InputDataInversionMode = CRC_INPUTDATA_INVERSION_BYTE; hcrc.Init.OutputDataInversionMode = CRC_OUTPUTDATA_INVERSION_ENABLE; hcrc.InputDataFormat = CRC_INPUTDATA_FORMAT_BYTES; if (HAL_CRC_Init(&hcrc) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } // calculate CRC32 over two identical chunks, HCRC keeps state! temp = HAL_CRC_Calculate(&hcrc, (uint32_t *)data, strlen(data)); // 0x444a273c crc = ~temp; // 0xbbb5d8c3 OK temp = HAL_CRC_Accumulate(&hcrc, (uint32_t *)data, strlen(data)); // 0x405e36b1 crc = ~temp; // 0xbfa1c94e OKNow I need to do something similiar as in https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/hal-function-crc-accumulate-re-init-and-calculate/td-p/672395: the CRC unit is shared for diff

We are having a similar issue as this person here:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubemx-mcus/why-does-the-ioc-file-show-warnings-on-disabled-peripherals/m-p/144500/highlight/true#M5600One of the responses was that this is just a warning message and is okay.  But I think this is causing us to have an issue with using a CICD pipeline to handle project generation. When I use a build script with project generate I would expect the whole process to be done without interacting with the GUI but an empty warning message actually comes up for me to click 'yes' to before it will go any further.  I tried an .ioc file that I found online to test to see if it would also generate this error and it does not.   I am hoping there is a way to bypass any warnings generated when doing the build using a script. Any help is very appreciated.

Hello everyone,I am currently working with the VL53L4CD sensor using the ULP (Ultra Low Power) driver. My goal is to use it for presence detection and distance measurement while keeping power consumption as low as possible.I understand that using very low power settings will naturally reduce performance. However, with a configuration of macro period = 1 and ROI = 4x4, the results are extremely inaccurate, as shown in the attached image (distance_plot_macro_1_ROI_4.png).To give a specific example:An object placed at 50mm is detected at a distance ranging from 90mm to 230mm. The readings are very inconsistent with each measurement.Conversely, when the sensor reports a distance of 100mm, the object's true position could be anywhere between 10mm and 80mm. This makes the data unreliable for our application.I am aware that increasing the settings improves performance significantly. As you can see from the other attachments (distance_plot_macro_10_ROI_16.png and distance_plot_macro_100_ROI_16

Hello, it is possible to call a function to change screens in a "stm32h5xx_it.c" file?The goal here is redirect user to a different screen globally, with no need to do this in every screen individually. This function is called in "EXTI15_IRQHandler(void)" in the same file, which is a hardware button of mine.

Hello,I am working on a NUCLEO-N657X0-Q and i'm trying to fill the runtime input buffer of an NPU accelerated miniresnet model with random data in order to verify that it is working, however, the buffer remains unaffected and filled with zeroes.Do I have to do something different before/after filling (like invalidate some kind of cache?)I am attaching a snippet of the code and the UART output aswell as the model analysis text.I am using the external flash to store the model @ 0x71000000 (n6-extflash profile). The npuRAM5 (0x342e0000) is also used and project is setup as LRun.The base code was generated by STM32CubeMX GUI ThanksTasos

Hi, How can I get the datasheet for ST33KTPM2XSPI? I have contacted tpmsupport@list.st.com like stated in the data brief, but looks like the address doesn't exit. Who can I contact regardng this? Thank you and best regards,Tomislav

When I generate a new project in CubeMx 5.3.0 for the STM32H745I-DISCO board for IAR toolchain, I get the following code:HAL_PWREx_ConfigSupply(PWR_LDO_SUPPLY);The example projects in CubeH7 package use this code instead:HAL_PWREx_ConfigSupply(PWR_DIRECT_SMPS_SUPPLY);With the code generated by CubeMx, when I unplug the USB cable (which supplies power to the board) from the STLK port, plugging it back in causes the code not to run.With the code from the examples, the code runs ok.I believe the code generated by CubeMx misconfigures the FW for the STM32H745I-DISCO board.Anyone else have this issue?

Good day, I was at a training some time ago: https://content.st.com/stm32wb09-workshop-ame.htmlunfortunately I lost these educational materials. Does ST have them published somewhere on the website? Does ST have materials regarding BLE?

Hello, I need to use Touchgfx on a small CPU and I'm optimizing my code accordingly. However, in the code that Touchgfx Designer generates, I noticed something that I don't understand:The Screen classes inherit from the ScreenBase classes.The Screen classes are actually final, but they have virtual functions, which makes the compiler generate virtual tables for them. The same goes for the Listener classes. Does anyone have any ideas on this?Best regards

I'm able to generate a simple PWM signal but I wasn't able to generate arbitrary waveform with DMA (HAL_TIM_DMABurst_MultiWriteStart).How should be configured the DMA ?Is there an example that use PWM with DMA on STM32U5 ?

Hello I see on this link that Touch Gfx can only use a single layer from the LTDC.https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/touchgfx-hal-development/scenarios/scenarios-ltdc-parallel-rgb Is there some way of using the two LTDC's layers ?,May be is there a Topuch Gfx licensed version (not for free, paying license) which indeed can make use of the two layers ? Regards

Hi,I followed exactly the instructions of ST's youtube tutorial "Get started with STM32Cube for VS Code: from installation to debugging". (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWMni01XGeI)Everything went perfect, the demo builds without problems.When it comes to debugging, VS Code gives me the error "Failed to install missing pack. "STMicroelectronics.stm32u3xx_dfp.1.0.0"Additional the is the same error as extension notification, see below.I tried Ctrl+Shift+P + Restore STM32Cube CMake projects configuration, but to no avail.Same thing happens with other STM32 CMake projects.What did I miss? Thank You in advance

Question:I’m using an STM32H7A3ZI-Q with four INMP441 MEMS microphones. Each INMP441 outputs PCM (not PDM), and all four share the same BCLK (bit clock) and LRCLK/WS (word select). I’ve split the data lines into two stereo pairs:SAI_A (master) → Microphones 1 & 2SAI_B (synchronous slave) → Microphones 3 & 4Both SAI blocks run in I²S/PCM mode, each with its own DMA stream.Only one stereo pair connected → perfectly clean audioAll four microphones connected → one stereo pair becomes very noisy and distorted  hsai_BlockA1.Instance = SAI1_Block_A; hsai_BlockA1.Init.AudioMode = SAI_MODEMASTER_RX; hsai_BlockA1.Init.Synchro = SAI_ASYNCHRONOUS; hsai_BlockA1.Init.OutputDrive = SAI_OUTPUTDRIVE_ENABLE; hsai_BlockA1.Init.NoDivider = SAI_MASTERDIVIDER_ENABLE; hsai_BlockA1.Init.FIFOThreshold = SAI_FIFOTHRESHOLD_3QF; hsai_BlockA1.Init.AudioFrequency = SAI_AUDIO_FREQUENCY_16K; hsai_BlockA1.Init.SynchroExt = SAI_SYNCEXT_DISABLE; hsai_BlockA1.Init.MonoStereoMode = SAI_STEREOMODE; hs

I had a fine working setup with BMS63 for some hours. Than cell 12 showed 0V and the fault light in the ISO SPI came up. A short measurement showed, the cell was indeed empty (I am testing with very old cells). After replacing the cell cell 12 still shows 0V, and the fault light is still on. If I measure with the testpins on the BMS63EN itself, I can see that there is a cell voltage. So something went wrong with the BMS63EN I think.  Do I need to reset the error/fault? In the manual its stated that software diagnostics need to be run in such case. But..how? And shouldn´t that be all reset after a complete disconnect and new init?

Hi everyone,I’m working with the NUCLEO - WB15CC board and I’m trying to enter STOP1 mode to minimize current consumption. However, despite disabling all unnecessary peripherals, the power consumption remains unexpectedly high (much higher than in the PWR_STOP1 example provided by STM32Cube, which works fine on the same board). What I’ve tried so far: Called HAL_SuspendTick() before entering STOP mode and HAL_ResumeTick() after wakeup Called hci_reset() to reset the BLE stack Configured all GPIOs as analog with no pull (using GPIO_AllAnalog()) Disabled clocks for all unused peripherals:  __HAL_RCC_IPCC_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_HSEM_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_ADC_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_LPTIM1_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_LPTIM2_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_TIM1_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_TIM2_CLK_DISABLE(); Disabled all interrupts using __disable_irq() and cleared pending IRQs (RTC, IPCC, etc.) Set both cores (CPU1 and CPU2) to STOP1 using: LL_C2_PWR_SetPowerMode(LL_PWR_MODE_SHUTDOWN);

I am looking at using the STUSB4710 in a specific application where when the device is installed, it can be configured to support different maximum power output levels. So I really have a few questions.Q1. The data sheet says "The STUSB4710 has a set of user-defined parameters that can be customized by NVM re-programming and/or by software through I2C interface." I can see some registers, SRC_PDO1-5, with zero information of what to write to these. Where is the information about how to program these registers?Q2. Ideally, I'd like to write to NVM the appropriate configuration chosen. The data sheet says "The NVM re-programming is possible few times with a customer password." Though there is no information about how to write back to the NVM, or how many times this is supported. Where can I get this information?Q3. If I go with dynamic writing of the SRC_PDO registers, can I use a separate 5V supply to the VDD pin, rather than what will be VBUS power output? Why, well if t

Hello community,I have been working towards getting a prototype ThreadX modules project on my board (Nucleo U545RE-Q) using CMake from a generated STM32CubeMX project. I have been loosely following the documentation https://github.com/eclipse-threadx/rtos-docs/blob/main/rtos-docs/threadx-modules/I have been able to build a ThreadX Module as a library, and a ThreadX Module Manager as a library - CMake samples below:# Interface library for includes and symbols add_library(module_1 INTERFACE) target_include_directories(module_1 INTERFACE ${MX_Include_Dirs}) target_compile_definitions(module_1 INTERFACE ${MX_Defines_Syms}) # Create STM32_Drivers static library target_link_libraries(STM32_Drivers PUBLIC module_1) # Create ThreadX static library add_library(ThreadXModules OBJECT) target_sources(ThreadXModules PRIVATE ${Module_sources}) target_link_libraries(ThreadXModules PUBLIC module_1)# Interface library for includes and symbols add_library(module_manager INTERFACE) target_i

This question pertains to the (relatively) new STLINK-V3MODS programming/debugging device.The UM2502 Users Manual for this product goes into great detail about using Pin #22 of the castellated edge connector aka +5V for ancillary purposes:"Pin 22 of the right edge pin connector can drive a 5 V target with a maximum output currentof 200 mA. The 5 V pin is guaranteed to be in the +/- 5% range if the driven current does notexceed 200 mA."I attached an ohmmeter between pin #22 and the board's +VBUS pin on its USB connector. Because +5V power from pin #22 would be derived from +VBUS pin I expected to see near zero ohms between these nodes. However, I did not and I'm curious why not.Is there a microcontroller-enabled pass transistor between +VBUS and pin #22? When is this transistor enabled?

Hi everyone,I am trying to send the firmware to the MCU via webpage. I want to send chunks of the file (4096 bytes) to the mcu, so it can store in ram, do some checks and then store it in an external memory. The firmware size can be maximum of 1.7MB (all the web pages and content are embedded in the firmware). The webserver is running, and I have the request notify callback function#define fwBufferSize 5000 CHAR fwBuffer[fwBufferSize]; UINT webserver_request_notify_callback(NX_WEB_HTTP_SERVER *server_ptr, UINT request_type, CHAR *resource, NX_PACKET *packet_ptr) { CHAR temp_string[30] = {'\0'}; CHAR data[512] = {'\0'}; UINT string_length; NX_PACKET *resp_packet_ptr; NX_PACKET *currentPacket; UINT status; ULONG total_bytes_sent; ULONG total_bytes_received; ULONG connections; ULONG disconnections; ULONG length; ULONG aOffset, aLength; UINT actualSize; ULONG bytes_read; ULONG packetLength; CHAR *destination_ptr; UINT destination_size; UINT *actual_size; CHAR *serv

I'm trying to configure BOR using STM32CubeProgrammer but I can't locate it on Option Byte. Even if I refer to RM0091 manual there's no section about BOR levels.
