Split from WeAct BluePill + : SPI1 does not work (works with older generic BluePills !) - which is marked as solved. Please keep to one question per thread.finally : unfortunately notlots of things are working , but now , timer3 on pins PB0 and PB1 doesn't ... why ?

Hi everyone, I’m trying to split an ST25TV02KC NFC-V tag into two memory areas using the RFAL (RF Abstraction Layer) library:1. Area 1 (blocks 0 … END_A1) should be public (read/write without password)2. Area 2 (blocks END_A1+1 … max) should be protected by the CONFIG passwordMy overall approach:1. Enable Multi-AreaRead block 0x0A (the LCK_CONFIG register) Set bit 0 in byte 1 to enable multi-area2. Open CONFIG Security SessionGET_RANDOM_NUMBER (opcode 0xB4) with 1-byte manufacturer code (0x02)PRESENT_PASSWORD (opcode 0xB3) with [IC-code, PWDID, encrypted 4-byte challenge]3. WriteConfiguration for END_A1FID=0x00, PID=0x01, DATA=END_A14. Verify with READ_CONFIGURATION (opcode 0xA0)5. Write user data into Area 1 (public) or Area 2 (protected)Despite following the ST25TV02KC datasheet, every time I issue the WRITE_CONFIGURATION command for setting END_A1, RFAL returns a timeout (RFAL_ERR_TIMEOUT, code 4). Questions:1. Am I missing any preliminary command or flag before WRITE

Hello everyone,I’m working on an STM32H7S3L8H6H with two XSPI interfaces:XSPI1 (Quad-SPI) connects to an external PSRAM. XSPI2 (Octo-SPI) drives an external NOR flash, from which my application code executes directly. In my bootloader I configure both and start the external memory manager:MX_XSPI1_Init();MX_XSPI2_Init();MX_EXTMEM_MANAGER_Init();  This maps the flash at 0x7000_0000 and the PSRAM at 0x9000_0000. After jumping to main() in the application (which is executing from the XSPI2 flash), I’ve marked XSPI1 as “Runtime Context” in CubeMX and still call:MX_XSPI1_Init(); But it hangs here:// inside MX_XSPI1_Init(): if (HAL_XSPIM_Config(&hxspi1, &sXspiManagerCfg, HAL_XSPI_TIMEOUT_DEFAULT_VALUE) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); // stops here } I have validated each interface separately, XSPI2 boots and runs code, and XSPI1 handles PSRAM reads/writes without issue. So now, how can I access and use the PSRAM from within the application (which is itself exec

Hi everyone,I’m currently working with ST25TV02KC NFC tags and the ST25R3916B reader, using the RFAL library.I’m trying to access the configuration registers via the following functions:rfalST25xVPollerReadConfiguration(...)rfalST25xVPollerWriteConfiguration(...) I’ve already opened the CONFIG security session successfully using PresentPassword with PWD_CFG, so write access should be allowed. What I’m trying to do:Read and write configuration registers like:RW_PROTECTION_A1 → FID: 0x00, PID: 0x00END_A1 → FID: 0x00, PID: 0x01According to the datasheet (Table 4), these are valid config registers in group FID 0x00. Here is how I call the read function:uint8_t regVal = 0;ReturnCode err = rfalST25xVPollerReadConfiguration(RFAL_NFCV_REQ_FLAG_DEFAULT, uid, 0x01, &regVal); // PID = 0x01 for END_A1 And the write function:uint8_t newVal = 0x20; // Example: change END_A1 to enable dual-area modeReturnCode err = rfalST25xVPollerWriteConfiguration(RFAL_NFCV_REQ_FLAG_DEFAULT, uid,

NUCLEO-N6 : I was using UART to transfer a more than 100KB image to the in_buffer in the AXIRAM, so, the HAL_receive itself can not receive so much once, and I wrote a loop function it, to receive it seperately, with every timne 64KB max. And the aligment of the data some how get wrong, do you have idea how I can use DMA of the N6 to directly transfer a more than 64KB data to the AXIRAM5 directly with only one time HALDMA beginning? the size is uint16, so max 64KB, I heard I might can use LLI of the HPDMA to do this, but I haven't learnd any thing about that, in university 64KB is far from enough, so have no experience on how to do that with LLI, do you have any documentations regarding that ? or do you have example for receiving a 224*224*3 data through UART and DMA directly to AXIRAM with address 0x342E0000? thanks a lot

Hi, Could you please provide MTBF/FIT values for M24512-DRMN3TP/K EEPROM? 90% confidence, 55C. FIT at activation energy (0.7 eV), if possible. Thank you.

Hi everyone,I'm working with the ST25TV02KC NFC tag (NFC Forum Type 5) and using the ST25R3916B as my custom reader (on a PCB). I’d like to be able to read from and write to the tag using my reader, but also allow partial access via smartphone (e.g. Android phone using NFC).Here’s what I want to achieve:Some fields should be read-only on the phone. Some fields should be readable and writable. Some data should be completely hidden from the phone but accessible to the ST25R3916B reader.Example layout:ReadOnly: Min_Value, Max_ValueReadAndWrite: Calibration_Zero, Calibration_SpanMy questions:How can I configure the tag's memory to enforce this kind of access control? Is it possible to hide certain memory areas entirely from a smartphone (but still access them from my own reader)? Are there tools or example configurations (e.g. NDEF files, memory layout examples) for this?Any advice, example code, or documentation links would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

We attempted to change the product state to "Closed" on STM32H523, and this operation was successful. We can perform a full regression to the "Open" state. However, we are experiencing unexpected behaviour during the provisioning stage. The code in the microcontroller was not executing, and the Keil debugger was unable to connect with an error message "Could not Stop Cortex-M device". A reset did not resolve the issue, indicating that the code could not run. After switching the microcontroller to the "Closed" product state, the code ran properly again. We likely need to modify specific settings in the options byte to enable the code to run during the provisioning state. We would appreciate assistance in resolving this issue, as we would like to change the product state and write the .obk file directly from the firmware.

I am using the NUCLEO-L433RC-P development board and in the process of designing my own PCB.But I am unsure what to do with the VDD12 pinsOn the NUCLEO-L433RC-P development board they are connected to an SMPS using an analogue switch. If I dont use an SMPS for the VDD12 pins, do I just connect the VDD12 pins to 100nF capacitors to GND (as shown in the schematic below) ?My project is battery powered (LiPo 1000mAh) so power consumption is important, but I already have an SMPS for 3.3V and 5V and running out of board space so would prefer to avoid adding yet another SMPS.  Using an SMPS for the VDD12 pins might also require additional level shifters for UART, SPI and I2C.

I'm encountering a networking issue where my STM32 device that is NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q, configured with the LwIP stack over Ethernet without FreeRTOS and assigned a static IP address (192.168.100.123), is unable to be discovered or pinged from a PC connected via Wi-Fi to the same router. The Ethernet link is physically active and UP, and the router indicates that data is being transmitted to the STM32, yet it shows almost No receiving packets from STM32 (onto the router). The router don't show the the static IP i assigned to the STM32 as well. I opened my router page to look inside these data. Debug logs from the STM32 reveal that ARP requests are being sent repeatedly and that the IP configuration is correctly set on the interface. Occasionally, the STM32 receives and parses ARP frames, but they are not directed to it, indicating that the receive path is at least partially functional. When using DHCP, the STM32 successfully constructs and broadcasts DHCP discovery packets, yet no DHCP offe

Hello, I just updated from 1.12.0 to 1.13.0 and now when i save changes it asks me to sign in to mySt to download a software package. When i try to login to my ST i get this error: I am on my work network, not sure if that matters. My internet is working fine with everything else but the STMCubeIDEThank you,

Hello,We've been working with the B-G474E-DPOW1 kit with the intention of building a custom project board using the G474E. I've had success starting with the example buck/boost project in the STM32CubeIDE (1.18.1). Now though I need to move the HRTIM CHC/D timer location used in the example design to the CHE/F locations. After struggling with CubeMX without success to make the change from C/D to E/F, I reverted to not using .ioc at all and instead searching and replacing what was necessary to map things over to the CHE/F timers. After fixing several mistakes, the system is very close to working as it did with the unmodified example. But there's one BIG problem remaining that I've spent hours in the debugger chasing things down. I don't get any output on CHE (PC8/9) they are always stuck LOW. CHF (PC6/7) works perfectly. I've confirmed both timers are configured the same. Any insight is appreciated! Thanks,Dave

I trying to debug to find what line in initialization function throw hard fault and cant understand why "jump over" dont work like expected, in some moments jumps not to next row in code, then goes back...After running normally must start at  SCB_EnableICache() line, but starts from main:Then step by step must goes in that way:But goes/jumps in this way:SCB_EnableICache();SCB_EnableDCache();MPU_Config();MX_GPIO_Init();SystemClock_Config();And throws hard fault error inside SystemClock_Config function at HAL_Delay(HSE.....I am not sure if hard fault is fired because there is misconfig in cubeMX (I think not), or there because in some way is missed HAL_Init and other initializations, code cleaning, restarting and other things does not change anything, I have posted about some other problems earlier with initializations and bugs, but now I stuck there and cant work with code at all, cubeMX, cudeIDE, mcu package and everything else is updated to last available versions !Main

Good Morning, I want to use a GPIO input or a ADC input as a logical reader which gives 0 or 1 if it reads 0 or 12 Volts. However, I know the maximal rating is normally 3.6 volts for those pins. However, i saw that the Adc can still read 5 volts, it willl only be stuck at its maximal value (which is not a problem for me). So here is my quesiton: Can i read 12 volts with the GPIO or the ADC without hurting my board?Best regards

Hi, I am using STM32L476RG-Nucleo64 boards for one of my ultrasound projects. Basically, the process is:1)Send 2MHz pulses with pwm2) Sample 1000points with 8-bit interleaved ADC(500 each) and DMA3) Send ADC data through SPI.4) Wait TIM3 to trigger again for both ADC and PWM and back to 1Everything is working fine, only problem is that I need the time label of each sample -Or somehow calculate the Δt between them- in ADC so that I can identify the Δt of some peaks positions in the data but it is troubling me because of maxed ADC speedI made ADC interleaved, 8-bit and 2.5 cycles to work at max speed, not like a timer-triggered ADC. Therefore I cannot measure the total 1000 sampling time for dividing by 1000 (Not sure if all samplings are done with same speed tho).I tried to measure the time using DMA callback and ADC callback using DWT but it is saying that the time is around 35ms and I know it is wrong because I can confirm with an oscilloscope that the data window I am sampling w

I have an application in which I'm required to check the status of an accelerometer 5000 times per second but it's a battery powered device so I want to minimize power consumption. I'm using an STM32L053C8 on a custom board with an external LSE crystal but I think that this would be a problem with any STM32.I've tried setting up LPTIM clocked from the LSE source to generate interrupts and then putting the MCU into stop mode. The problem is that you can only generate frequencies which are an integer fraction of the LSE frequency so 32768/6 = 5461 Hz which is too fast for my application. 32768/7 = 4681 Hz is too slow.Using the RTC clocked by the LSE is even more restrictive. The best that I can see would be an integer fraction of 16384 Hz.The regular timers TIM2, TIM6 etc don't work in stop mode.Am I missing something ?

Hello,A design I am working on utilizes a LSE crystal with the following parameters:f = 32.768kHzCL = 12.5pFCo = 0.9pFESR = 50kR MaxDL = 1uW MAXI am calculating gmcrit ~ 1.52uA/V.  According to table 5 in AN2867, the drive level should be set to Medium High, will REXT required?  The design is already produced without REXT so adding it is not advised if avoidable.I don't have the instrumentation to measure the actual drive level as it requires ~0.1pF probes for proper measurement.  There is no indication of LSE max drive current for the H7, the datasheet only specifies 550nA IDD at medium high.Should I be concerned that Medium High may violate 1uW?Thanks

Hello everyone,I’m working on an embedded project where I need to receive a variable-length stream of bytes via UART on an MCU  STM32H750. The key points are:All bytes are payload, no start or stop bytes, no protocol framing. The number of bytes is undefined and variable. The byte stream starts when the MCU is ready.I need to calculate CRC (Ethernet CRC32) over all received bytes. After receiving all data, I must output the CRC via UART.The UART baud rate is very high (greater than 900,000 baud). My current approach:I use UART interrupts to receive bytes one by one.I update the CRC continuously with every received byte inside the interrupt handler. This works fine for small data, and CRC calculation seems correct. However, when I try to receive a large file or big data stream, the CRC isnt correct, the crc will be outputed before the whole data recieved.I suspect the problem is related to handling the continuous stream without any start/stop or length information, and possibly buffer ma

Hello everybody!Recently I've been trying to implement different low-power modes on the Nucleo-WL55JC board and measure the according power consumptions.  At the start I was provided an Otii Arc Pro with the software but then we realized it was a rather costly solution. So we switched to an alternative from Nordic Semiconductor, the Power Profiler Kit II (also known as PPK2).At first glance it seemed rather complicated to set up the Nucleo board with the PPK2, since it was originally made to work with nRF boards (as I understood it that way), and pins names and locations for external power supply change from an Nucleo board to another.Eventually I managed to set it up correctly by mimicking what I did with the Otii solution. I decided to share what I've found if you ever encounter this problem.1) Switch the jumper JP4 position to E5V, this would allow the PPK2 to power our board.2) Unfit the JP7 jumper and fit the STLK_RST jumper to disable the LEDs from power

Hi, in custom_stm.h, should add manually #include "ble.h" to works

There is the problem for STM32Cube FW_C0, i need to use v1.1.0 because in v1.2.0 its no able to set PA9/PA10 as uart on my chip but i cant to select v1.1.0 which installed on my PC.

Hi , i am trying to read the sensor data of AIS2120x only for sensor ID type , i can see from the bus the data is transferred correctly, but i don't receive any data back from sensor rather its only 0. i have attached the code snippet for this test, any leads will be helpful. @JHo.1 @JHo.1 and @Eleon BORLINI @CJeff.1    test 1: CS_low(); Sensor_Write(0xD1,0x80,ubAisSensor ); // command to read address 0x0C/REG_ID_SENSOR_TYPE from AIS2120x // according to 32 byte cmmand format Sensor_Write(0x00,ubCrcVal,ubAisSensor ); CS_high();   Test 2: CS_low(); Sensor_Write(0x8C,0x00,ubAisSensor ); // command to read address 0x0C/REG_ID_SENSOR_TYPE from AIS2120x set_high(); //Sensor interface void Sensor_Write(uint8 addr, uint8 Data,(uint8 Sensor) { // application specific spi_Write(addr); delay(); spi_Write(Data); } //receive ISR uint8 ubSpiStatus; uint8 RxData; _INTERRUPT_VOID SPI_vRxISR (void) { if(SPIS==0xA0) { RxData = SPID; ubSpiStatus = 1; } } spi_Write(

Hello,Tag reading was working perfectly on my previous setup.I now want to migrate my project from an STM32G0B1RE to an STM32L073RZ. Since the Arduino UNO R3 physical pinout standard is respected, the X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 shield (which uses SPI, IRQ, LEDs, etc.) remains pin-compatible across different STM32 Nucleo boards (G0, L0, L4, etc.), as long as they follow the UNO R3 layout. So, I created a new project in STM32CubeMX targeting the STM32L073RZ, and reused the configuration from my working G0-based project.Current status:Initially, execution would stop inside `demoCycle()`, initialization was successful (I could see `Initialization succeeded` in the UART), but no tags could be read. After fixing the IRQ setup, execution no longer reaches `demoCycle()`, it now stops at the call to `MX_X_CUBE_NFC6_Init()`.Any idea what could be preventing `rfalNfcInitialize()` from completing correctly on the STM32L073RZ?Thanks in advance!

Hello ST Community,I am working on the STM32H747I-DISCO board and trying to configure FDCAN1 for CAN FD operation.Setup:I understand this board does not include a CAN transceiver, but I want to validate FDCAN1 TX signaling before attaching one.I configured FDCAN1 using STM32CubeIDE with:FDCAN1_TX = PD1 (Arduino D3)FDCAN1_RX = PD0 (Arduino D2)I successfully tested internal loopback mode and it works as expected. Then, I changed FDCAN1 to normal mode (FDCAN_MODE_NORMAL) to test TX output using a logic analyzer before connecting a transceiver.Problem:In normal mode, even when I queue a valid CAN frame using HAL_FDCAN_AddMessageToTxFifoQ() and start FDCAN, no signal appears on PD1 (TX) — not even dominant bits or start of frame on logic analyzer.I expected to see at least some output on TX line, even without a transceiver connected. My Goal:Before adding the external transceiver (TJA1051T/3), I want to:Confirm that FDCAN1 TX (PD1 / D3) is outputting framesEnsure my board setup and pin

Hello ST Community, I am currently working with the Nucleo H723ZG board and facing issues establishing a ping response using the LWIP stack. Despite following various examples and configurations, I have been unable to get it to respond to pings. Here are the details of my setup: Development Environment: STM32CubeIDE V1.17  and STM32CubeMX V6.13.0 Configuration: I have not used RTOS. I configured the Ethernet settings according to package examples. :C:\....\STM32Cube\Repository\STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.12.1\Projects\NUCLEO-H723ZG\Applications\LwIP\LwIP_UDP_Echo_Server I ensured that the Ethernet cable was connected properly and used a direct connection to my pc. I have tried multiple versions of the H7 package ( 1.12.1 - 1.12.0 - 1.11.1 - 1.11.0 - 1.10.0 ) and tested various configurations without success. The ping command consistently results in "destination host unreachable."Could anyone provide insights or suggestions on what might be missing or misconfigured? //***********
