I need to do a 1024 point FFT on the STM32F446RE Eval Board. I try to integrate the CMSIS-DSP Libraries as mentioned in the forum and it creates errors only and I can't even run the program. I need to do a q15 FFT ,but it is not working. Help me to to integrate CMSIS DSP Library with the STM Cube IDE.This is a simple issue and some ones guidance can help me a lot.

Hi, I am implementing the new STM32 project in that I am initialized Display and camera interfaceLTDC interface enabled turning on the backlight by making PQ6 pin high and in TouchGFX created a project selected STM32N6570-DK board while run the target it is showing "cannot run the target".Display is not getting ON.I am unable to enable CSI configuration its showing "This peripheral has no parameters to be configured" when customized model also deployed in object detection demo code its not working.

Hi,I would like to confirm that STM32WL55 and STM32WLE5 are mutually HW compatible from the point of external circuitry? I.e. can we use either one in a PCB originaly designed for one of them w/o any modifications? (Yes, I checked both datasheets but better to be safe than botching ;))I know that "The STM32WL55 is a Dual core MCU (cortex-M4 and cortex-M0+) but the STM32WLE5 is using only one core (cortex-M4)." so there might be a difference from the FW perspecitve.  Thank you

I was trying to run a code in STM32CubeIDE v1.19.0. I have connected the MCU to my laptop via ST-LINK/V2 but when I tried running the program or updating the firmware on the ST-LINK/V2 I get the respective error messages:I am new to STM32 development.

I use NUCLEO-H7S3L8 to evaluate our new solution. I want to use GPIO port P to control a few external components.I add some test code into NUCLEO-H7S3L8\Examples\GPIO\GPIO_IOTggle project, like the below snapped code:__HAL_RCC_GPIOP_CLK_ENABLE(); GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_0 | GPIO_PIN_1 | GPIO_PIN_2 | GPIO_PIN_3; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_PULLUP; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOW; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOP, &GPIO_InitStruct); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOP, GPIO_PIN_0, GPIO_PIN_SET); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOP, GPIO_PIN_1, GPIO_PIN_SET); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOP, GPIO_PIN_2, GPIO_PIN_SET); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOP, GPIO_PIN_3, GPIO_PIN_SET);After executed the above code, I halted the core and measured voltage of these pins with a multi-meter.These pins keep LOW voltage.Does it need an additional configuration when we want to use GPIO port M to P in STM32H7RS?Code formatting applied - please see How to insert source code for future ref

I am experimenting with a STM32G431 dev board (breadboard friendly) but eventually the project will use a STM32H723 mcu.I am generating PWM and PWMN signals with dead time using timer 15.  I need to generate additional signals based on these two and I would like to configure interrupts on the PWM and PWMN rising and falling edges.  I could short the PWM and PWMN pins to adjacent pins and configure those as EXTI inputs.  However, in a reply to another thread user @TDK said it is possible to configure a pin as both PWM and EXTI input and thus generate interrupts directly from the PWM signal.  This seems like a much better solution but unfortunately I haven't been able to figure out how to do it.  In STM32CubeMX if I configure a pin for PWM, then try to configure the same pin as EXTI, the PWM is disabled and the pin is configured just for EXTI.  And vice-versa.Is it possible to do what I want?  If so, how should I go about it?Thankspaul

Hi Sir, I would like to explore a specific use case that deviates from the standard design. My goal is to modify the EVLVIPGAN50PD to achieve a fixed 12V output, bypassing the USB PD negotiation functionality entirely. My intention is to utilize only the motherboard circuit, which contains the VIPERGAN50 and SRK1001, and not use the daughterboard with the STUSB4761 controller.Could you please provide some technical guidance on what modifications would be necessary to the motherboard circuit to achieve stable 12V regulation? Since the voltage feedback loop is currently managed by the STUSB4761 on the daughterboard, I assume changes would be required to establish a fixed reference for the VIPERGAN50 on the motherboard.For example, on the daughterboard schematic, a resistor divider (R36 and R37) is used for voltage sensing. I am wondering how a similar feedback mechanism could be implemented directly on the motherboard circuit to set the output to a constant 12V. Thank you.

  I need the following: 1. The source code for the NUCLEO-F103RB development board. Where can I download it? 2. I haven't seen any information about the MCP3208 module it uses. Hi,I have recently procured STM32L562E-DK Discovery kit. Having installed STM32 Cube IDE & STM32 Cube Programmer I tried to debug & run existing examples. However STLink is not getting detected on Windows 10 laptop. I have connected USB Type A to Micro B cable to CN17 connector. While the board powers up and is running default power measurement demo (out of box) I am unable to do any debugging/downloading of other example code.I have tried using different USB cables & tried switching USB port on laptop. However there is no USB activity detected in Device manager. I have confirmed STLink driver installation & working through another STM32 board (Nucleo-64) where I am able to debug/programAre there any switch/jumper settings on DK kit or do I need to connect USB Type C as well (already tried) to make the debugger work?Any suggestions/inputs appreciatedThanks

I'm developing an app on the demo board STM32U5A9J-DKI've created the project from TouchGFX 4.25.0 project STM32U5A9J-DK FreeRTOSIt perfectly works, compile and debug with both TouchGFX and CubeIDE 1.18.1I then opened the .ioc file of the project with Open CubeMX 6.14.1. It says the project was set up with 6.14.0 and FW_U5 V1.7.0, so I migrated it.I've updated the Software Packs from X-CUBE-FREERTOS 1.0.0 to 1.3.1. CubeMX says no issue found and upgraded.Then I generated the code. There, the new code rewrote the app_freertos.c file deleting the initialization of the TouchGFX task/* Definitions for defaultTask */ osThreadId_t defaultTaskHandle; const osThreadAttr_t defaultTask_attributes = { .name = "defaultTask", .priority = (osPriority_t) osPriorityNormal, .stack_size = 128 * 4 }; /* Definitions for GUI_Task */ osThreadId_t GUI_TaskHandle; const osThreadAttr_t GUI_Task_attributes = { .name = "GUI_Task", .priority = (osPriority_t) osPriorityNormal, .

Dear I'am protoyping a GUI on a STM32F469I-Disco board and encounter the "feature" that buttons in the lower area of the canvas will not trigger when touched (e.g. the red circled "Auto"). Strangely when moving these buttons (e.g. "00.000V") to the upper area without changing anything else the suddenly work????Of course my first suspect was the FT6xxx touch controller chip, so I debugged into the STM32TouchController::sampleTouch(int32_t& x, int32_t& y) function. I confirmed that the touch controller worked as designed delivering proper coordinates on every touch (origin in the upper right corner, x increasing down, y increasing to the left) As of now I've no clue where to look, help appreciated!Thx MTP.S.: The canvas has been configured in landscape orientation in TouchGFX designer

I have my internal Vref set to 2.5V (stage 0).  The value reads correct (2.52V) with a meter on the test point below until I call HAL_ADC_Start_DMA().   Once HAL_ADC_Start_DMA() -> ADC_Enable() -> LL_ADC_Enable() is called the voltage goes up to around 2.9V. Any thoughts as to why this is happening? Thanks!

When I use CubeMX, the default language of my genereted code is C. I would like to develop in C++, as I can do in STM32CubeIDE. (I want to use VSCode to program)Is there any option to do this? I've tried just change the main.c to main.cpp, but it didn't work.(I'm a noob. So, if this questions is elementar, please, let me know likewise).

Hi everyone,I'm working with the STM32F405RGT6 and its CAN peripheral. I have a couple of questions regarding CRC handling:Does the STM32 CAN peripheral automatically calculate the CRC for both sent and received CAN messages?I noticed there is a CRC Error bit in the documentation. What is the purpose or functionality of this CRC Error bit?Thanks for your help!Best regards,

Hello everyone,I'm working on a project using a NUCLEO-H7S3L8 board, and I have run into a very persistent and unusual problem involving FreeRTOS and a HAL function that I hope the community can provide some insight into.My aim is to build an event-driven data acquisition system. The application uses multiple peripherals (ADC, SPI, UART, I2C, and TIM3 for PWM Input Capture) running in DMA mode. A central FreeRTOS task (StartOSScheduler) waits on an event group for any peripheral DMA to complete. When an event occurs, it collects data from all sources, aggregates it, and sends it as a UDP packet using LwIP.Hardware and Software SetupBoard: NUCLEO-H7S3L8MCU: STM32H7S3L8HxToolchain: STM32CubeIDEFirmware: STM32Cube FW_H7RS V1.2.0Middleware: FreeRTOS (CMSIS-V2 Interface) and LwIPThe Problem: A Halt Inside a FreeRTOS TaskMy application halts without any fault or error when calling HAL_TIM_IC_Start_DMA() inside my main scheduler task (StartOSScheduler).The Critical Clue: The Most Important Pi

Hi, I'm curious to see if it is possible to connect more than one STEVAL-EVK-U0I boards to a computer and read images of all of them? The SDK has  an init function that allows you give a board id, but it is unclear what the board id means or if it will give the desired effect. Any help is appreciated.  Thanks

I am measuring time time it takes to do ADC conversions on an STM32H753ZI Nucleo board, using the function function HAL_ADC_Start_DMA().  This converts 6 channels of ADC3, using 16 bits, with DMA.  The one function call handles everything including DMA transfer.  Then I am waiting for DMA to complete using interrupt handler HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback().  I am surprised how long this is taking and would like to ask if anyone has ideas on how to speed it up, or if perhaps this is expected.  I set this up using CubeMX as follows:  ADC clock is10MHz. (I think max is 12MHz for 16bit ADC with LQFP144 package)CPU clock is 100MHz.ADC3 channels 0 thru 5 all have sample time 2.5 ADC clocksADC3 is set for 16 bits, conversion time = 8.5 ADC clocks I believeThis is a total of 11 ADC clock cycles, or 1.1usecSo for 6 channels total time should be about 1.1usec x 6 + DMA time, which should be 7-8usec.  But the time I measure from HAL_ADC_Start_DMA()

Hello,I have a design with same pinout and package (as LIV4F) that is working with 3.3V from other vendor.Pin 7 is used as VCC_IO and it is connected to 3.3V.The question is, can I replace and put the LIV4F instead?What will happen if pin 7 will get 3.3V (instead of being not connected)?Any chance of harm or malfunction?I don't expect logic issue since I'm working with 3.3V anyway (and no conflict with past pin configuration that was VCC_IO)

I’m working on a program to transmit data over SPI1 and SPI2 using DMA. For output I only use each peripheral’s CLK and MOSI lines. SPI1 and SPI2 differ only in the exact data being sent—their configurations and the number of bytes are identical. Also, when driving the lines I first need to bit-bang them, so I disable the peripheral, toggle the pins by software, and then re-enable the peripheral. With an oscilloscope I confirmed that SPI1’s CLK and MOSI, and SPI2’s CLK, all switch as expected—but SPI2’s MOSI never toggles correctly. I believe the peripheral setup is correct, yet when I remap SPI2-MOSI from PA4 to PA10, it works perfectly. Do you know why PA4 fails to output MOSI? Below, (1) is the code that was active when SPI2-MOSI was on PA4 (no output), and (2) is the code active when on PA10 (correct output). The PCB layout is already fixed, so if PA4 can’t serve as SPI2-MOSI it’s a serious problem. Now, I'm using Nucleo-G071RB for test. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.In

Hello everyone, I'm currently working on an SPI bus on an STM32U031C6 + S2LP. I'd like to use my SPI with DMA mode. The SPI bus I used previously worked on this board. As this is my first time using DMA, I'm simply trying to send data without necessarily performing a read, but rather by analyzing the bytes using a logic analyzer. My SPI configuration is defined as follows://----------------------------------------------------------------------------- void S2LP_InitIO (void) //----------------------------------------------------------------------------- { RCC->APBENR2 |= RCC_APBENR2_SPI1EN; GPIOA->MODER = (GPIOA->MODER & ~(GPIO_MODER_MODE11)) | (GPIO_MODER_MODE11_0); //-- Select output mode (01) //--- PA15 en sortie (pour Spirit-SDn) --- GPIOA->MODER = (GPIOA->MODER & ~(GPIO_MODER_MODE15)) | (GPIO_MODER_MODE15_0); //-- Select output mode (01) //--- PA0 en entree sans pull-up/down (pour Spirit-GPIO0) --- GPIOA->MODER = (GPIOA->MODER & ~(GPIO
