I'm currently tinkering with the BLE_Ota example for the P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo and created a debug build spec for it. The default linker script is /* Specify the memory areas */ MEMORY { FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 28K RAM1 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000008, LENGTH = 0x2FFF8 RAM_SHARED (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20030000, LENGTH = 10K }but the image built with the debug build spec is larger, so the length of the flash area to use must be adjusted: /* Specify the memory areas */ MEMORY { FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 32K RAM1 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000008, LENGTH = 0x2FFF8 RAM_SHARED (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20030000, LENGTH = 10K } that made me wonder, is it possible to define constants in the build specs such that conditional statements (e.g using the DEFINED statement) inside the .ld file can be used? something like FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = DEFINED(DEBUG) ? 32K : 28K

I am facing difficulties configuring the GPO interrupt on the ST25DV04KC to trigger exclusively when an NDEF message is written to the tag via the RF interface. The NDEF formatting is working correctly, and I am able to read and write data without issues both through the RF interface and via my microcontroller using the I2C protocol. However, I have not found a configuration or register setting that allows the GPO to generate an interrupt solely upon an NDEF write event initiated from the RF side. The interrupts are only working if I configure them as shown below.NFC07A1_NFCTAG_ConfigIT(NFC07A1_NFCTAG_INSTANCE, ST25DVXXKC_GPO1_ENABLE_MASK | ST25DVXXKC_GPO1_FIELDCHANGE_MASK);However, in this configuration, as expected, the interrupts are triggered simply by bringing the RF device close to the tag, without performing any read or write request. Therefore, this behavior does not serve the intended purpose.I tried the configurations below but was not successful. Shouldn’t this work?NFC07A1_N

I'm having a persistent /!\-icon sticking to my project icon. It's annoying. How can I get rid of this? I cannot see another such icon attached to any object in the project tree branches, if I didn't overlook any.The project builds without any errors.

Hello, I am using STEVAL25R200 evaluation board and integrating read/write application using the ndef_read/write examples provided in the documentation embedded library. In my main function, I am Initializing the NFC using rfalNfcInitialize(), rfalNfcDeactivate() and rfalNfcDiscover(). In the while loop, using the rfalWorker() function, I am polling for NFC tags. I have checkd using the EVAL GUI software that a NFC V tag in indeed present and being detected along with its ID (e002080ab3e64bc8).However, the tag is not detected in my code. I get the rfaNfcGetState = RFAL_NFC_STATE_POLL_TECHDETECT on my serial terminal and then it waits indefinitely. In my opinion, the activation of tag needs to happen using Interrupt routine but it never gets called and I never even proceed further. I have set my IRQ (PA0) and SS (PB0) pins in nfc_conf.h and initialized the IRQ pin as follows.#define BUS_SPI1_NSS_GPIO_PIN GPIO_PIN_0#define BUS_SPI1_NSS_GPIO_PORT GPIOB#define BUS_SPI1_

I'm creating an I3C target device.  It uses an STM32U385RG as the microcontroller.  According to the reference manual most bits of the Provisional ID are fixed and cannot be configured.  This doesn't seem to allow for creating an I3C target device using my own MIPI manufacturer ID.  Is that correct?  Or is there some other way to provide a fully customizable Provisional ID?If not configurable this seems like it makes the Provisional ID useless as it will be identical for all I3C target devices from all designers at all companies...

In the STSPIN32G0601 device, the stm32g031 controller core has internal connections to complementary gate drivers. The outputs from the stm32g031 that can be configured with alternate function complementary signals (PA7, 8, 9, 10, PB0 and 1) are not used though.  Internal connections in the STSPIN32G0601 are PA8, 9, 10, PB13, 14, and 15.  I need to program a 3-wire, 2-phase signal that has a pulse frequency of 3,840Hz.  I can do this with 3 separate output compare interrupts with each interrupt service routine writing to 2 pins.  This is cumbersome compared to using the timer peripheral's PWM capabilities which are not available due to internal signal wiring.  I have found nothing in the MCSDK development software that addresses this; so, I am coding in STM32CubeIDE.  MY QUESTION IS:  am I overlooking a simpler way to approach this?

Hello all, This is my first post on here, if I am in error at any point please direct me to any relevant posting guidelines. I am developing a sender-receiver solution involving two STM32H753 microcontrollers, both on ST's NUCLEO-STM32H753 boards. I am using USART3 to transmit and receive one byte using DMA. The sender receives one byte (for example 'S') and the receiver receives one byte, checks whether it matches 'S', and if it does, it toggles the yellow on-board LED. If it does not match, it toggles the green on-board LED. This check is being done in the HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback() function. I am facing an issue where the first time the HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback triggers after the receiver is reset, it toggles the green LED once (meaning that the received byte did not match with the expected data), and then continuously toggles the yellow LED (meaning that the received byte does match the expected data, this is the desired behaviour). When I went to debug the receiver, I

I want to use TouchGFX Designer in a Project for which no .ioc file exists, but generating code in the Designer fails because of the missing .ioc file.Is it possible to work around this? If I need to use a dummy .ioc file, which settings are relevant for the Designer?

I'm using a coloured box as a background for some dynamic text. I would like the background to match the width of the text when it changes.I can change the width of the box to match the text width, but the box's fill colour will not fill to match the new box width. This is the code I'm using.memset(&textValueBuffer, 0, sizeof(textValueBuffer)); Unicode::fromUTF8((const uint8_t*)it->second.data(), textValueBuffer, it->second.length()); textValue.resizeToCurrentText(); textValue.invalidate(); box1.setWidth(textValue.getWidth()); box1.invalidate(); Is this possible in TouchGFX?

Hi, I'm already aware of the application note from https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/an5354-getting-started-with-the-stm32h7-series-mcu-16bit-adc-stmicroelectronics.pdf but as it does not cover STM32H72*-MCUs, I have to afraid I need to ask it here. I have configured some ADC-stuff for 16 bit data sampling in CubeMX but now get incredible large offsets, even when the ADC-pins are connected to GND directly. That offset is in range 2000..4000 and very instable, means floating about the full range (I except it not to be a noise-problem as for testign the pin is pulled to GND directly). What I have configured in CubeMX: VREFBUF-mode to internal voltage reference Trimming Mode: factory trimming Internal voltage reference scale: SCALE2 (around 1.8V as I expect input voltages in range 0..1,8V) The ADC's are used without oversampling, asynchronous clock-mode, divided by 4. The clock to the ADC's is at 64 MHz (may be too high?) ADC is running in independent mode, no cont

Hi all,I am looking for an advice to how-to sync the back-end signal and the toggle button. For example toggle button by default is OFF, Signal output Low.Clicked button, the button state = ON, Signal output High.View still display the button is ON.Due to some error condition, the signal output is turned off to Low.  The View still show button is ON.  How can I turn the toggle button to OFF in View in this case?Thank you

how to properly connect multiple L9963E in daisy chain? already tried many mode and tweak. follow the design in datasheet, for transformer isolated and capacitive, but still unable to init. for the first chip, I use SPI. init the first chip is correct, but for the upper L9963E always failed. the mcu I use SPC582B signal seems good, but the ISO transceiver of the chip unable to read.   maybe there any member here thats already succesfully connect the daisy chain ISO

recently i want to control the SWD function manually by external pin level, in F1 HAL library, there are some defintions to configure this, like above, after call __HAL_AFIO_REMAP_SWJ_DISABLE(),when i connect MCU by jlink debugger，it fails， so it means this definition effect，but after call __HAL_AFIO_REMAP_SWJ_NOJTAG(),debugger still cannot connect the mcu,I try some time, then i find, when enable SWD,I must call __HAL_AFIO_REMAP_SWJ_ENABLE(),why this. i have test on stm32f103c8t6 and stm32f103vet6,both show the same result, thanks.brief:why i must call __HAL_AFIO_REMAP_SWJ_ENABLE() not only __HAL_AFIO_REMAP_SWJ_NOJTAG() after i disable SWD

Greetings I have weird situation with AEK-COM-ISOSPI1 and cannot figure out what is wrong. Maybe someone here is experienced with this device and can help me out. I have absolute encoder with SPI. When i connect directly to uC all is working fine. Then i tried to use AEK-COM-ISOSPI1 and have next problem: I can readout the encoder data just with command read, so i generate just clock to start readout from encoder. This works fine, because on encoder side i get correct data 0x9F45. These data are transferred back to uC but here i get messy data from AEK-COM-ISOSPI1. I get data 0x5F61. When i look the SPI signals with logic analyzer i can see that MISO is not sync with CLK cycle. And encoder is always on the same position.  Can anyone help me and tell what im doing wrong here.   My configuration is. Encoder side:NSLAVE=1TxAMP=1TXEN=1ISOfreq=1BNE=1DIS=0SPICLKFREQ=22kohm (8MHz) Microcontroller side:NSLAVE=0TxAMP=1TXEN=1ISOfreq=1BNE=/DIS=0SPICLKFREQ=/ Best regards Frank

hello... I am using custom board with STM32F103C8T6 with Semtech LoRa module SX1262 for LoRaWAN architecture. Facing lot of issues like files missing. We are using the files from Github link

CubeMX and STM32CubeIDE will generate a .ioc file associated with the configuration of the MCU to be programmed. For a modest project with few connections, adding the GPIO and their labels is normal, but when there are 130+ signals this become a tedious and error prone task.We need a way to import data into CubeMX. @st_it team: please add a function to CubeMX/STM32CubeIDE to import a list of GPIO, pin, port, config, etc into the configuration of the MCU which is being used.Alternately/in the meantime: you could also publish the full specification of the file and its fields, so we can modify it with some scripts.Thank you in advance.

Split from this thread. Hi, I am glad that you have been successful with dumping the extMem_boot to the STM32H750B-DK. I am trying to do the same thing, would you please be so kind and let me know, how did you do that within the CubeIDE ? Any info is much appreciated. Best,  Miha PS sorry for my ignorance, if this is written withing the FW files.

Hello,I’m working with an ST NFC tag (e.g., ST25DV) and noticed that when I add an NDEF record using the ST25 mobile apps, the system automatically adds a 4-byte Capability Container (CC) to the NDEF message record. My question is:Is there a way to append or extend the CC to 8 bytes instead of the default 4 bytes when adding an NDEF record?

I'm trying to find a working spice model for the ST LM358. The one on the site gives an output of -12KV for a small sine wave when powered from ± 12VAnd the "contact us" email doesn't work.

Hi ST Community.I am using an STM32H725IGK MCU on a custom board. My board has a uSD card slot connected to the SDIO pins, and I am using SDMMC1 peripheral. I am also using FatFS to use a filesystem on the uSD card.I can operate the SD card properly most of the time. I can mount, format, create files and folders, and read and write to files. However, sometimes, some operations fail. Normally, it's either f_write or f_lseek. They fail at the low-level disk_read() operation. I do not understand why.I will share my system configuration:- Clock MUX:- SDMMC Parameters:The clock divide factor of 2 gives 32 MHz. I also tried setting the clock to 16 MHz and 8 MHz, but the problem persists.- SDMMC GPIO settings:I also adjusted the output speed of the pins to guarantee the signal integrity is good, but the issue remains.- FatFS defines:- FatFS Advanced Settings:My system also utilizes FreeRTOS, and I use semaphores to ensure that only one task accesses the SD card at a time. I have the FS_REENTR

Hello, I am developing a custom board with the STSPIN32G4 microcontroller.I would like to have more information about the integrated buck converter, as the documentation lacks details. What is the maximum allowed peak current? Output curent 12V :  Best regards.

Hello, I'm in the process of designing an edge computer using a MP2 processor. Due to the shortage of LPDDR4 memories, I'd like to use LPDDR4X memories. Can I use this type of DRAM for MP2 series processors? Or do you have any alternative part that I could consider for my design? Thanks in advance,Daniel

Hi Dear friends, I am trying to configure H750 to transfer data between internal SRAM and external SDRAM, I got everything setup OK but with some problems (also monitor data bus with logic analyzer). So I checked with ChatGPT, surprisingly, ChatGPT said H750 (actually it said the same thing about H74x)  does not officially support memory-to-memory transfer, ChatGPR said use MDMA instead. Before I jump into MDMA, just want to make sure what ChatGPT said is true? Thanks.

Hi ST Team,1. I have followed the steps mentioned in  link to build the yocto for stm32mp25-eval machine and can successfully flash the eMMC tsv file .2.
