I would like to use a TouchGFX video widget on a STM32F469i DISCO board.I created a simple project in TouchGFX comprising the following widgets:Screen1:Video WidgetButtonWithLabel Widget.I associated the video widget with the TouchGFX example video "video1_480x272.avi"I know that the TouchGFX TBS for the STM32F469i DISCO does not directly support JPEG video decode, so I followed the TouchGFX documentation for Video Decode https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/touchgfx-hal-development/scenarios/scenarios-video-decodingI can program and run the target from within TouchGFX and compile then debug using STM32CubeIDE, so I am pretty sure that I have implemented the instructions to augment the TBS for STM32F469i DISCO correctly. The video will play but with horizontal lines across the screen. The video will only play with framebuffer strategy set to Double Buffered, when set to Single Buffered, the video will not load.I'm using SDRAM, so Start Address 1 is set to 0xC0000000. I have

Hi ST team , I have designed NFC reader using ST25R3916B  with single ended antenna connected with cable. Antenna is on different PCB. I would like to read ISO1443A tags using this antenna and want to have read range of around 5 cm. Right now when i am able to read the tags but with no range, i need to touch the tag on antenna. Pls help me to tune my matching circuit on reader side and on antenna side. I am attaching here reader schematic, antenna schematic , antenna PCB. Let me know what component value should i choose to get that range. Also I dont have VNA , so i am not able measure antenna parameters and not able to use ST antenna matching tool, so pls provide me the best component values to based on the schematicsReader sideAntenna sideAntenna PCB - 4 turns, 50mm x 50mm square, track width = 0.152mm,  track spacing  =  0.2mm RegardsDilip Motwani

Hi, I use lasted available library’s and software Cube IDE and stm32f103 mcu. I create clear project with minimum required parameters for use usb MSD or COM, with using USB HAL, So I compile it and connect usb, device recognised and OS propose format it, all works correctly. So the problem: if in settings project optimisation select any type not include “none” after programing device not recognised by OS if I connect it by usb. No meter what optimization level i select. In debug mode initialisation comes without return error, (OS still not recognized usb device)

I am completely new to using the STEVAL-MKBOXPRO (Sensor Tile.Box Pro) sensor, and I have a problem accessing some of the functions in the ST BLE Sensor app. I can connect the sensor in the app, but when I try to plot the data within the app, I cannot choose anything in the drop-down menu other than "MemsSensorFunctionCompat", whereas I should be able to choose between that, gyroscope, accelerometer and magnetometer.I cannot find the function "Flow" on the bottom of the list with all the options. That is where I am supposed to be able to choose between basic apps and create my own apps in expert mode, but I cannot access it for some reason.More info: I am using the newest version of the new app (not the classic one, but I have tried that too; it also doesn't work), I have deleted and redownloaded it, paired and disconnected from the sensor multiple times. Thank you to anyone who has some information about this in advance!

Hello,I had the motor profiling experience to get motor mechanical and electrical parameters using EVSPIN32G4 boardsas following:Now I'm trying to start the project for controlling a new high power motor with EVLSERVO1 board. But, I couldn't find the ST provided firmware for EVLSERVO1 board as listed this.  I'm wondering the EVSPIN32G4 firmware is compatible with EVLSERVO1.Thank you for your any advice.

Hi Can someone confirm the top marking for M24256-DRMF3TG/K is 4256R3K Paul

I am a beginner, and this is my first time trying to use UART to send data from MCU to PC.I try to follow the deep blue embedded tutorial (STM32 Serial Print & Monitor (UART Data Debug), however the console does not receive anything when I connect to it.This is my main function codeint main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ //USART vs UART //synchronous generates data on clock and sends it to //the receiver which works accordingly in synchronized manner //asynchronous generates data clock internally /* USER CODE END 1 */ /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ /* USER CODE END Init */ /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */ /* USER CODE END SysInit */ /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_I2C1_Init(); MX_I2S3_

Hello,I'm using a Teseo III module from Lantronix. When connected up, I can see NMEA sentences over UART, at 9600 baud.I have a few questions. I'm not a GPS expert, and unfortunately, the Teseo III documentation assumes quite a bit of knowledge.Question 1: What command should I send to be able to temporarily either stop, or slow down the NMEA sentences? I'd like to stop them, so that I can type commands to experiment, and see the responses without the flood of NMEA sentences.Question 2: How do I change to 115200 baud?I have tried issuing the following commands at 9600 baud, but I can't see the responses, because there's so much NMEA sentence activity ongoing.$PSTMSETPAR,3102,0xa*32$PSTMSAVEPAR*58$PSTMSRR*49After issuing those commands, the baud rate doesn't change. I still see NMEA sentences at 9600 baud. The particular module I'm using is Lantronix PNT-SG3FS and their documentation is almost identically a copy of the ST Teseo III documentation.  Thanks in advance f

I have an SPI slave running on STM32L4 in DMA mode.   Here is the basic structure (simplified for this posting): #define NSS (HAL_GPIO_ReadPin( SPI3_NSS_GPIO_Port, SPI3_NSS_Pin )) #define BUFFERSIZE 32 uint8_t SpiTxBuffer[BUFFERSIZE], SpiRxBuffer[BUFFERSIZE]; typedef enum { Idle, Wait, Abort, Done } State_t; State_t State = Idle; int main(void) { /* Usual MX boilerplate here. */ while(1) { switch (State) { case Idle: if(!NSS) { if( HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA( &hspi, SpiTxBuffer, SpiRxBuffer, BUFFERSIZE ) != HAL_OK ) { Error_Handler(); } State = Wait; } break; case Wait: if(NSS) { if( HAL_SPI_Abort_IT(&hspi) == HAL_OK) { State = Abort; } else { Error_Handler(); } } break; case Abort: break; case Done: DoSomethingWithTheData(); State = Idle; } DoSomethingElse(); /*Do some task while waiting for SPI to arrive*/ } } void HAL_SPI_TxRxCpltCallback(SPI_HandleTypeDef *hspi) { State = Done; } void HAL_SPI_AbortCpltCall

Hello everyone, I'm reaching out to seek guidance in pushing the SPI CLK line output to, at least, 65 MHz.In theory, this should be possible according to the Reference Manual by setting the GPIO speed to Very High in Vdd = 3.3. Currently, I am able to drive the signal at 40MHz and still get a decent square signal with a bit of over and undershoot, however, pushing above these speeds causes signal degradation and distortion. The rise/and fall times for the wave seem to be too slow, causing further problems. I've tried enabling the cell compensation with a sequence similar to the one below as per the Reference ManualRCC->CR |= RCC_CR_CSION; // turn on CSI while(!(RCC->CR && RCC_CR_CSION_Msk)); // wait for the CSI to come online SBS->PMCR &= ~(SBS_PMCR_BOOSTEN); SBS->PMCR |= SBS_PMCR_BOOSTVDDSEL; // reduce harmonic distortion SBS->CCCSR |= (0 << SBS_CCCSR_COMP_CODESEL_Pos) | SBS_CCCSR_COMP_EN; while(!(SBS->CCCSR & SBS_CCCSR_COMP_RDY

Hi, I'm getting started at embedded programming, I've got this blue pill board having the STM32F103C6 MCU and ST-LINK v2 programmer. Here's my code, just to light up the LED on port C 13:#include "stm32f10x.h" int main() {RCC->APB2ENR |= (1<<4); GPIOC->CRH |= ((1<<20) | (1<<21)); GPIOC->CRH &= ~((1<<22) | (1<<21)); GPIOC->BSRR = (1<<13); return 0;} Despite the IDE flashes successfully the LED doesn't light up as I wanted, It will only lights up if I add a break point on debugging mode on Keil uVisionAnd here are my flash configurations:Any help is appreciated.

Hello! Can I use 'TRGO2' event signals from Advanced Timers (1,8,20) as event sources for Slave Timers? The Reference Manual (RM0440 Rev 9, p. 381), the Internet, CubeMX and Google - all say "Yes", but in practice I could not use them for Slave Timers. I only found in one document that it is not allowed and now I do not understand whether it is true or not. Thank you.

Hello everyone,I’m an embedded software engineer currently working with STM32 microcontrollers, and I am very interested in understanding how AI is being integrated into embedded systems.I would like to know:What are the common approaches or frameworks used to bring AI into embedded devices? What would be a good roadmap or step-by-step procedure to start learning and building AI-enabled embedded projects? My goal is to upskill into Embedded AI Engineering and eventually work on real-world AI applications on resource-constrained devices.Any guidance, resources, or personal experiences would be highly appreciated.Thank you!

Hello STM Community, I’ve successfully implemented a Zigbee application on the STM32WB series MCU that leverages the Low Power Manager to enter Standby or Shutdown modes, as detailed in AN5289 section 4.6. The application note highlights the Low Power Manager’s ability to support up to 32 users, select the optimal low-power mode (Stop, Standby, or Shutdown), and execute callbacks during mode transitions. In my implementation, I focused on enabling Shutdown mode to minimize power consumption after performing a Zigbee On/Off toggle command. Key points from the code: Low-Power Mode Configuration: The application disables Stop mode and enables Shutdown mode using UTIL_LPM_SetOffMode(1U << CFG_LPM_APP, UTIL_LPM_ENABLE) and LL_C2_PWR_SetPowerMode(LL_PWR_MODE_SHUTDOWN). CPU2 Handling: As noted in AN5289, CPU2’s low-power mode is managed by the wireless firmware. I ensured the low-power mode selection is set to SHUTDOWN before starting CPU2 to allow the device to enter low-power mode

Hello, When using I2S2 with DMA transmit, the auto-generated stm32f7xx_hal_msp.c does not includePeriphClkInitStruct.PeriphClockSelection = RCC_PERIPHCLK_I2S inside HAL_I2S_MspInit().As a result, after calling HAL_I2S_Transmit_DMA() no DMA interrupts/callbacks occur. As a workaround, I manually added the snippet in the user code section. Question:Is this intended (by design) or something wrong with STM32CubeIDE?For an I2S setup, should RCC_PERIPHCLK_I2S be auto-generated at an appropriate place?Or should it be added manually? Also, I may be missing a recommended setting/order, so if there’s an official way to ensure RCC_PERIPHCLK_I2S is applied, I’d appreciate guidance.Environment:    MCU/Board: STM32F767ZI / NUCLEO-F767ZI    STM32CubeIDE: 1.19.0

Hello,I'm working on a daughter board to connect with STM32F769I-EVAL, no problem if it is obsolete. I can't find good CAD resources for the item, I need a step 3D file or a pdf with the position and the height of all components, so I can design my board with a proper placement of components, without the risk to touch something.I have only found the positions of the four connectors, but this is not enough, there are lots of thick elements around. How can I get support for cad resources of this board? Thanks,Regards

Hello!I have a new project with a STM32F407VET6 and a STM32F103xxx over a RJ45 Jack with I2C.i worked a lot of time with I2C EEPROMs and it works fine, but my communication between the 2 STM's are horrible, or i am too confused.i found the tutorial on https://controllerstech.com/stm32-as-i2c-slave-part-1 in this tutorial, has the Slave the Address 0x12 (without shifting <<1) the code of the master:   /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ uint16_t slaveADDR = 0x12<<1; uint8_t TxData[6] = {0x1, 0x2, 0x3, 0x4, 0x5, 0x6}; while (1) { HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit(&hi2c1, slaveADDR, TxData, 6, 1000); HAL_Delay (1000); }  okay, here are the address shifted, but my slave are not receiving data on 0x24.my logic analyzer says, the master sends data to the address 0x24 (it's shifted.. <<1) and not to 0x12. I used the function HAL_I2C_IsDeviceReady(), but i am wondering, in the description of this function are no comments like "shifted address" or an

Hi Community,I am working with an STM32MP257  interfaced with 16 bit DDR4 of 2 number (16 bit  * 2  = 32 bit = 1 word). I would like to clarify whether the swizzle bit register values actually affect the DQ pin bit-swapping in hardware. If they do, I need some guidance on how to determine the correct swizzle bit register values. Are there specific calculations or methods recommended for this ?I have attached my schematic showing the DQ bit swapping with the processor. Any assistance or reference material would be greatly appreciatedThank you in advance!!

I'm attempting to implement a USB MSC Device using the USB_OTG_HS on a STM32U5A9J-DK1. I'm using the STM32CubeMX version 6.14.1 and STM32Cube_FW_U5_V1.7.0 to create a USBX stand-alone (without THREADX) MSC device. The project builds and runs, with successful initialization of the USBX device subsystem. However, connecting to a host does not trigger the OTG_HS_IRQHandler() interrupt. A couple of questions:A call to MX_USB_OTG_HS_PCD_Init() is generated in main by CubeMX, but I don't find anywhere in the code where PA11 and PA12 are initialized to the USB_OTG_HS alternate functions.Since enabling VBUS Sensing via PA9 is not an available option for this device in the CubeMX, and I see from the schematic that VBUS_SENSE is connected to PG1, I'm not at all clear how connection to a host is detected to fire the USB_OTG_HS interrupt. The STM32Cube_FW_U5 only contains examples for USBX Host, so I'm not sure where to look for guidance.

Hi everyone,I'm trying to measure the current consumption of the MCU/NPU on a NUCLEO-N657X0-Q board. According to the reference manual (https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um3417-stm32n6-nucleo144-board-mb1940-stmicroelectronics.pdf - see par. 7.4.4), I tried both removing resistor R13 and measuring the current with a multimeter across pins 9-10 on CN12, and removing R40 and measuring across pins 3-4. In the first case, I couldn't measure anything at all, so I assumed the board was in SPMS mode and tried the second option instead. However, when measuring the current across pins 3-4, I got a reading in the order of 40 microamps, which seems implausible. Notably, I'm trying to measuring while AI validation is ongoing in CubeMX.I'm wondering whether I might have made a mistake with the board, or if the issue lies with the measuring instrument. Thanks!

I am trying to use VL53L8CX with stm32f4 discovery but had no success.  Implementing the preexisitting API has been tough.  Is there a register map for this sensor whcih can be used to create a minimalistic driver and interface sensor using I2C or SPI.If anyobne knows what is register 0x7FFF . Please let me know.

I'm relatively new to STM32 and it's my first time working with DMA so this will probably be a very basic question.I'm using STM32G474 and I want to have 3 channels of advanced timer TIM8 working in "PWM generation CHx CHxN" mode. At a later stage I'm looking to run FOC on them, but for now I just want to change the duty cycle of each channel period by period, by reading the duty cycle for the next period from a predefined table and transferring the duty cycle value using circular burst DMA to update all 3 channels at the same time without software overhead. These are my DMA settings for TIM8 in the ioc fileI can't find the settings for which register i want to write to using DMA. I have ChatGPT telling me that DMA can only write to CCR register and Gemini telling me I can set which register to write to in the ioc. Both are pointing me to reference manual RM0440 (https://www.st.com/resource/en/reference_manual/dm00355726.pdf), but I'm getting overwhelmed there and can't find anything re

Can I operate ODR_XL[3:0], FS[1:0]_XL and LPF2_XL_EN of CTRL1_XL of ASM330LHH simultaneously?Should I set FS[1:0]_XL and LPF2_XL_EN first and then set ODR_XL[3:0]?

Should INT2_CTRL (0Eh) in ASM330LHH be changed when ODR_XL[3:0] in CTRL1_XL is 0, or should it be changed after being set to non-zero?

I would like to implement a low pass filter to filter out noise at frequencies above 2Hz on the IIS2ICLX inclinometer. I would like to have as high an ODR as possible, let's assume 833Hz. My signal has a low frequency, around 0.5Hz.LPF1 will clearly not help me - the response is flat out to 100Hz.To implement the filter using LPF2, would the following register configurations be suitable:CTRL1_XL : ODR bits 0b0111 for 833Hx ODRLPF2_XL_EN bit 0b1 to enable LPF2CTRL8_XLHPCF_XL bits 2:0 set to 0b110 for cutoff of ~2Hz (=833Hz ODR / 400)HP_REF_MODE_XL set to 0b0 to disable HP filterFASTSETTL_MODE_XL set to 0b0 to disable fast settling modeHP_SLOPE_XL_EN set to 0b0 to disable slope filter I would be extremely grateful for any help implementing my filter - thanks for reading this far!
