Has anyone had success with the CMSIS-DSP arm_rfft_q31 or other of the M55 HELIUM MVEI/MVEF enabled CMSIS-DSP functions on the STM32N6? Is there a functional FFT example or STM32CubeMX project available? The STM32N6 FE 1.2.0 example CORTEX-HELIUM does not seem to utilize CMSIS-DSP.Whenever I try to utilize the CMSIS-DSP FFT-functions, I am experiencing hard fault when entering the arm_rfft_q31, function, if the M55 HELIUM MVEI/MVEF support is enabled. My FSBL project builds successfully and I am currently using ARM_MATH_AUTOVECTORIZE as a temporary solution, with limited performance. Please let me know for working examples, tips, or known caveats of using CMSIS-DSP with HELIUM MVEI/MVEF on STM32N6. I am looking for proof, that the STM32N6 MVEI and MVEF are functional and supported with CMSIS-DSP. Thanks!

I'm running the CubeMX-generated lwIP implementation on an STM32H723. Memory addresses and configuration has been modified according to what is described at https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-create-a-project-for-stm32h7-with-ethernet-and-lwip-stack/ta-p/49308Now when running this implementation, I stumble upon different illegal memory accesses where data is located in memory areas outside of the addresses of range 0x30000200 .. 0x30000200+32232.This happens more or less randomly. When I add some own address-checks at one position in code to ensure a pointer is in that area, lwIP crashes at an other position. So this looks like some memory leak or some other fundamental problem.Next I enabled MEMP_SANITY_CHECK in lwIP settings to track down these problems. With that, immediately on connection of an external client to my server, I end up in a failed MEMP-sanity check:HardFault_Handler() at stm32h7xx_it.c:85 0x8002f10 <signal handler called>() at 0xf

Hello, I am using p-nucleo-wb55. I have a code with an RTC alarm interrupt triggered every 5 seconds. In the ISR, I set a sequencer task that sends a message via BLE. I have enabled the LPM as I want the MCU to enter sleep mode while it isn't working and only wakeup with the RTC alarm. I realized that the MCU doesn't stay in the sleep mode and when I debug, I realized that it wakes up so fast as the IPCC RX Interrupt is triggered continuously with high frequency. How can I control this, knowing that I don't need the MCU to do any task through those 5 seconds, I just want it to sleep and wakeup only after 5 seconds. Thanks in advance

Hi,We have duplicated the design onto our own NFC tag, copying the same antenna design onto a flexi pcbWhat should be the tuning capacitor for this coil be for NFC ?If thats not available, what is the inductance value of the antenna so we can try and calculate it ourselves. Ultimately we will tune it but we would like to start with at least an approximation

Good day I am trying to run the Lorawan FUOTA demo on my nucleo-wl55jc1 and havinf trouble. Once i build files in the recommended order and they build successfully, i am getting this issue: struggling to find out what i need to change in order for it to work.  I am using cubeIDE version 1.19.0. Please assist as we plan into going into production very soon on our own PCB board.

Hello,I'm working on a firmware which currently run in USB vendor interface (bInterfaceClass = 0xFF) and it's working. Now I want to add MassStorage. My Firmware is a bit older so I add all usb composite parte by my self (in usbd_core ...) . I defined USE_USBD_COMPOSITE and set :#define USBD_CMPSIT_ACTIVATE_MSC 1#define USBD_CMPSIT_ACTIVATE_CUSTOMHID 1#define USBD_MAX_CLASS_INTERFACES 2U#define USBD_MAX_SUPPORTED_CLASS 2U#define USBD_MAX_CLASS_ENDPOINTS 2U(I use custom HID class for the Vendor interface and I edited USBD_CMPSIT_CUSTOMHIDDesc )I set Msc first 'cause I read that some OS prefer. Init function :void MX_USB_DEVICE_Init(void){#ifdef STM32H7xxHAL_PWREx_EnableUSBVoltageDetector();#endif //STM32H7xx/* Init Device Library, add supported class and start the library. */if (USBD_Init(&hUsbDeviceHS, &HS_Desc, DEVICE_HS) != USBD_OK){DEBUG_PRINTF("[MX_USB_DEVICE_Init] USB failed to init \r\n");}//register classesMassStorage_InstID = hUsbDeviceHS.classId

Hello,We wanted to replace an M24M01-DFCS6 memory (1 Mbit) with an M24M02E-F (advertised as 2 Mbit) available in a WLCSP5 package. After starting the driver implementation, we realized that the sections “Device Type Identifier”, “Configurable Device Address”, “Software Write Protection”, and “Identification Page Lock” occupy more than 1 Mbit…Is there actually a way to access the full 2 Mbit of this memory for data storage?I feel like I've been misled...Thanks

Hello ST Community,I'm working with the STM32N6570-DK board and using the ST-provided UVC video streaming example.https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeN6/tree/main/Projects/STM32N6570-DK/Applications/USBX/Ux_Device_Video By default, the example uses MJPEG format, but I modified the UVC descriptors to stream  in UNCOMPRESSED format (YUY2).Where as i am sending static image data-->> When using a lower resolution configuration 320*236 and  HS_MPS is 512  , Then the static image displays correctly on Windows Camera, and Wireshark shows proper isochronous packets. However, when I change the configuration to a higher resolution like 800×480 and increase HS_MPS:#define USBD_VIDEO_EPIN_HS_MPS              1024 // Also tried 2044, 3036, 3072#define UVC_FRAME_WIDTH                             800U#define UVC_FRAME_HEIGHT

Hello,I'm hunting a bug probably caused by a race condition running multiple tasks and IRQ handlers under FreeRTOS on a STM32H75x MCU.My code shall run a task after (DMA-) IRQ has fired using the Deferred Interrupt Handling method shown in this example   using the CMSIS2 RTOS API. In rare situations, it seems that the task is started delayed, maybe blocked by another task of same priority. All (DMA-/UART-/TIMER) IRQs have prio 5, all tasks have FreeRTOS prio "REALTIME".The FreeRTOS example (comments removed) goes like this:void vANInterruptHandler( void ) { BaseType_t xHigherPriorityTaskWoken; prvClearInterruptSource(); xHigherPriorityTaskWoken = pdFALSE; vTaskNotifyGiveFromISR( xHandlingTask, &xHigherPriorityTaskWoken ); portYIELD_FROM_ISR( xHigherPriorityTaskWoken ); }I wonder how this can be implemented using the CMSIS RTOS API2.My code, according to this example here, goes quite as follows:void IrqHandler(void) { osEventFlagsSet(evt_id, 0

I wrote this maybe it helps somebody. My software system is running on ubuntu 24-04 which crashed when I attemped to upgrade.I found the IOC would not render at all.Long story short I could create an MX project and the IOC was created correctly but when I transitioned to the cube IDE the IOC would not render.I found this! I got java lang issues and eclipse editor issues than looking in more detail Iistening on port 41 which seemed to get no response. The rendering hung with no response - is the eclipse https site there? This I then moved to a virtual machine so I could keep resetting after a crash.Well I turned off the network so it now had no network connection and I got a message about the keeping it online for a better experience. Well in preferences there is also an offline checkbox - enable that and now my IOC's render fine. This is Cube IDE 1.19.0 and Cube MX 6-15-0 runing on Ubuntu 24-04.Note also:- had to "sudo apt install python3-tk" to install a module missing from python.&

We are implementing a software-driven OTA update system using TouchGFX and a 64MB external QSPI flash. We store the following asset sections in QSPI:ExtFlashSectionFontFlashSectionTextFlashSectionThese are bundled into an ExternalFlash.bin asset file, which should be shared between firmware partitions (A/B). Since the data contains only static assets, it must remain bank-independent for OTA to work properly. Problem:In the generated TypedTextDatabase.cpp, the following array is incorrectly marked with TEXT_LOCATION_FLASH_ATTRIBUTE:TEXT_LOCATION_FLASH_PRAGMA const touchgfx::TypedText::TypedTextData* const typedTextDatabaseArray[] TEXT_LOCATION_FLASH_ATTRIBUTE = { typedText_database_GB, typedText_database_ESP };This array is placed into TextFlashSection, which is part of ExternalFlash.bin. However, the array contains pointers to other flash-resident data (typedText_database_GB, etc.), which are already placed correctly in TextFlashSection.Storing the array itself in flash causes a

Hi!I found a bug in stm32h503xx.h (version 2023) The SNB field has too many bits:#define FLASH_CR_SNB_Msk (0x7FUL << FLASH_CR_SNB_Pos) Correct is only three according to the reference manual (8 pages of 8K flash), therefore it should be#define FLASH_CR_SNB_Msk (0x07UL << FLASH_CR_SNB_Pos) With kind regards,Jochen

CubeIDE, P-Nucleo STM32WB55 I have a BLE project that works, it sends data from 2 temperature sensors & 2 accelerometers (x, y & z for each)Within Cube I copied the project then pasted with a new name.Added some code to take 1000 samples of the accelerometer data and calculate the mean for each axis on each sensor. That's the only addition to the code, everything else is exactly the same.Compiles & gets on the board with no issues.Check the serial debug, all senors up & running, averaging is working just fineThe device just doesn't show up when scanning BLE devices. Revert to previous project & there it is advertising as it should. reflash.... nope no such device. What's going on there?

Hi team,   I had book an EVB B-G431B-ESC1 from ST store but it cancels by ST. How can I take back my money and how long for processing? Order # ST198495 Please advise.

Hi All,Is there any way to cross compile STM32MP linux user state tasks on STM32CubeIDE on Win11.

Hello! I'm coding board based on STM32 C031C6T6. Everything works fine except EXTI interrupts - it doesn't fire. I use PB5, PB6 and PB7 for buttons. I checked signals on hardware - it's ok, I can register falling edge. I use external pull-up. I use CudeIDE 1.19.0. main.c code: /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2025 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file * in the root directory of this software component. * If no LICENSE file comes with this software, it is provided AS-IS. * ****************************************************************************** */ /* USER CODE END Header */ /* Includes ------------------------------------------------------------------*

This is a very basic question.I built a custom board using the STM32L433.After applying power (+3.3V), I checked the NRST pin state, but it did not reach the default voltage.Could you please tell me any possible causes? For reference, I have confirmed the STM32L433's power pin is at +3.3V. I have also confirmed the clock oscillator is operating at 4MHz.Thank you in advance.

Hi,Master:MCU: STM32H743IIQuestion:I configure the MPU for RAM as follows:mpu_set_protection( 0x24000000, MPU_REGION_SIZE_512KB, MPU_REGION_NUMBER1, MPU_REGION_FULL_ACCESS, MPU_ACCESS_SHAREABLE, MPU_ACCESS_NOT_CACHEABLE, MPU_ACCESS_NOT_BUFFERABLE); I found that an unaligned access fault is triggered at the location shown in Figure 1. The address shown in Figure 2 is within the MPU configuration range shown in Figure 3, but I do not understand why the fault is triggered.Thank you very much!

I am using the STEVAL 25R200 evaluation board for reading/ writing to/from NFC tag and using STM32CubeIDE for implementing the ndef example read and write (provided in the firmware folder of STEVAL 25R200). I have separately made NFC_read.c and NFC_write.c where I am using the example codes and calling them in the main.c code.  The RFAL initializing is called once and then the actual polling/reading process is in the while(1) loop of main function.  However, the program execution hangs indefinitely inside the rfalNfcInitialize() function which I later on traced it to the st25r200Initialize() function. I have also successfully checked the correct execution of SPI communication by reading IC ID at 0x3F (= 0x54) without any problem. The program hangs before st25r200InitInterupts() routine is called according to me, since I am not getting the debug output in that I inserted in that function. Also because of that, certain debug outputs present in the  EXTI0_1_IRQHan

Hello,I am working with Nucleo-STM32U385RG to implement the Root of Trust (Secure Boot) feature, following the wiki guide: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Security:How_to_start_with_OEMiRoT_on_STM32U3My test environment is STM32Cube_FW_U3_V1.2.0.During step-by-step testing, I faced two issues that I need help with:.(1) OEMiRoT_Boot build error (postbuild.bat)When I build OEMiRoT_Boot with EWARM IAR v9.32 + STM32U3 patch, the build finishes but throws an error during the postbuild.bat step. The wiki doesn’t explain anything about postbuild in this step.Still, I got a binary file, so I could continue the flow.https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Security:How_to_start_with_OEMiRoT_on_STM32U3#OEMiRoT_Boot_firmware_compilationFor comparison, I also tried with STM32H5 OEMiRoT_Boot build, but I encountered a very similar error:  https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Security:How_to_start_with_OEMiRoT_on_STM32H573_and_563%E2%80%93TrustZone_enabled#STM32CubeFW_provided_code_compilation&nbsp

Hi, I'm currently working with a discovery board SPC58EC-DISP and I´m using a SPC5-UDESTK for debug, my issue is the next: The first 2 - 3 days the UDE STK 5.2 works properly, I can connect to the board without problem,  but after those days I am not able to connect with the board, it shows the next message   I delete and installed again the UDE STK 5.2 and I was able to connect to the board again but after few days Im facing the same issue, I have two laptops and in both Im facing the same issue, also the power supply and all the configuration is the same when it connects to the board and when it doesn´t connects, I read in some forums that it could be a power supply issue but definitely this is not the case because nothing changes when it works and when not..  also Im not the only one with this issue: https://community.st.com/t5/microcontrollers/problems-with-ude-visual-platform/td-p/468544https://co

I am trying to compile in stm32h753xx.h into a project.  It has a number of lines like this:#define SPI3 ((SPI_TypeDef *) SPI3_BASE)I am getting this error on that line:In file included from ../src/libraries/CMSIS/Device/ST/STM32H7xx/Include/stm32h7xx.h:124, from ../src/rt-arm/STM32F4/i2cComm.hh:17, from ../src/rt-arm/busses/i2c.cc:12: ../src/libraries/CMSIS/Device/ST/STM32H7xx/Include/stm32h753xx.h:2510:30: error: 'reinterpret_cast<SPI_TypeDef*>(1073757184)' is not a constant expression 2510 | #define SPI3 ((SPI_TypeDef *) SPI3_BASE) | ~^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ../src/rt-arm/STM32F4/dma.hh:178:64: note: in expansion of macro 'SPI3' 178 | plate<> struct dma_perph<1,0,0> { enum {addr = (uint64_t)(&SPI3->RXDR)}; }; //"SPI3_Rx" | ^~~~Other lines like that one also get a similar error.  What I don't understand is that the SPI3_BASE is a constant and therefore I would think everything in ((SPI_TypeDef *) SPI3_BASE) would be considered a constant.&n

Hello all,  MCU: STM32H733ZG I am facing issue as i am trying to jump from bootloader to the Application code which is located in the SDRAM. In the bootloader stage when the MCU receives the binary from OTA it is stored inside the External Flash. After receiving the binary image and storing it inside the External Flash, the image is copied from External Flash inside the SDRAM and then jumps to the application code. When it jumps to the application code, i open disassembly view and it starts running instructions stored inside the SDRAM until it reaches a specific address `0xC000150E` which is inside the `SystemInit` function. After calling the instruction at this address the disassembly closes up and a text of can not read register at `0xDEADBEE` appears. When checking the line located at this address and commenting that line which is this  the problem persists at the same address of `0xC000150E` even though the previous line was commented out. It always crashes at this

The extension signals the conflict as in subject and suggests to disable intellisense altogether.MS C++ (cpptools) is a very popular extension required by many others, so disabling it is not an option.Another solution might be to disable the individual stm32-cube-clangd extension, but does it have any drawback? What's the point of having an useless and incompatible extension?
