Posted on September 12, 2017 at 18:46Hello,I was looking to import LL driver for my STM32L053 device. I see user manual for  STM32F4 LL driver. I wanted to know if we have LL code generation support in STM32CubeMX for STML0xx family? Thanks,Harsha

Posted on August 28, 2017 at 22:35I generated a new project selecting Nucleo H743 , set the RCC to 8Mhz and made sure that USB is clocked at 48Mhz just like I did on the F767. Unfortunately the device does not show up in the windows device manager.Does somebody have a working USB device example of any kind on the Nucleo H743 ?Any ideas ?I have attached the CubeMX project file. Thanks for your help !#usb-fs #stm32h7

Posted on September 12, 2017 at 19:57IMO, *to* is inappropriate here - as far as I can see, transfer width in 'F446's SPI can be only 8-bit *or* 16-bit.JW

Posted on September 13, 2017 at 12:30The 'F446 according to DS has SPI1 to SPI4, and SPI4 does not implement the full set of features (I2S missing).JW

Posted on September 13, 2017 at 01:46Hi , I'm new to STM23 and I'm currently trying to setup Ethernet communication on the NUCLEO F767ZI. Cube Mx provides great guidance but I can't seem to find any information on how to configure the initial  ETH_HandleTypeDef structure in my Ethernet setup code . Is there any documentation or working example available that I can use to figure this out ? #ethernet #nucleo-f767zi

Posted on September 11, 2017 at 16:33 Hi, Now I'm trying to implement UART function as the below, But the problem is keep showing in RS232 Tool. I'm just referring fully reference posting such as https://community.st.com/thread/19577?commentID=48791#comment There's no miss match. But I don't know what is the problem and how to resolve this. Could you please any advice to resolve this problem? I guess one thing is there's noUSARTx->BRR declaration. Is this possible way to happen the problem?? Posted on May 12, 2017 at 02:33Using recently updated (app and all libraries) CubeMX v4.21.0 on Windows 10, I create a new project for the NUCLEO-32 (STM32F042K6T6) board, but there are no settings for configuring the GPIO pins. When I go to the 'Configuration' tab, the GPIO section is highlighted in yellow and gives the following warning when I hover the mouse pointer over the 'GPIO' button:'Warning:  Some signals are not used in any IP's mode.  However, you can still generate code.'Am I missing something obvious? Please see attached screen captures.  Also, I'm still disappointed that the latest updates to not address the 'tiny icon' problem on UHD-4K screens.Thank you for any insight into my present difficulty.Dale

Posted on August 26, 2017 at 11:40I am reading data through I2C. The calculations performed are correct (Converting high and low bytes into a 12 bit value and using 195mg/digit to convert data into scales of +/- 400g level.).There is a noise of about +/-10g in all the three axis. So the graph will always be fluctuating when the device is kept still.Neglecting the +/- 10g noise, the X and Y axis data are fine. But Z axis data is always shifted by about 8g. So the Z axis data has an average of 8g, when the device is upright and kept still, which had to be 1g. So the graph of Z axis will be fluctuating at 8g with.

Posted on September 11, 2017 at 12:47Part number is STM32F303CC.A 24 MHz oscillator output is connected to PF0 pin.Exiting from reset (either via nRST pin or SCB_AIRCR SYSRESETREQ bit), and having BOOT0 pulled up and USB cable connected, the bootloader waits forever for RCC_CR HSERDY bit to become 1.The same identical problem presents with BOOT0 low, thus starting from Flash and jumping to the internal bootloader (SP@0x1FFFD800 and Reset@0x1FFFD804) - that is what we want to do.BUT If I power cycle the board, everything works as expected (USB DFU bootloader up and running). Is the bootloader supposed to start following a reset (as it is described on the refman and as it happens on other parts we have worked with)?Am I missing something?

Posted on September 09, 2017 at 01:57Hi - I'm new to the STM development boards.  I've done A LOT with a TI TM4C123G (Tiva LaunchPad - ARM Cortex-M4F) which appears to be similar to the STM32F429 that I recently acquired.I've just now (with not much effort) got the typical blinking light example working.  This is the STM32CubeF4 example under Projects/STM32F429I-Discovery/Examples/GPIO/GPIO_EXTI.  This example, as well as every other one I've looked at in the STM32CubeF4 Examples directory uses the STM32F4 HAL API (document of the HAL API http://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/user_manual/2f/71/ba/b8/75/54/47/cf/DM00105879.pdf/files/DM00105879.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00105879.pdf).  In my first 'real' project I'm looking to use my STM32F429 to play some audio (through an I2S DAC I have) while also displaying some data on the LCD screen (possibly a histogram of the audio).  I'm assuming using the HAL API is the best a

Posted on August 13, 2017 at 02:27Greets All,I am trying to set up I2C communications between a nucleo STM32F411RE board (as master) and a STM32F103C8T6 Blue Pill board (as slave). I am using cubeMX and Keil. I also want to use DMA. I want to set this up so I can test I2C Slave operations with the STM32F103, and once successful, port the master (STM32F411RE) to an RPI Zero. This way, I can isolate any issues to the RPI Python programming instead of trying to debug two systems. What I am looking for is example code so I can see how it is implemented. This is not a production run, but for my home use. The goal is to use the RPI Zero with the STM32F103 to add wifi enabled nodes to my home projects via web interfaces. So far, and I have googled a lot on this, I have not been able to find any code to study. Any links to code of working systems that use this implementation would certainly be appreciated! I also have a Rigol 1054z scope with (kind of) I2C decode features.&nbsp

Posted on June 30, 2017 at 21:37It is planned? When it will arrive? Regarding I2C peripherals, I prefer the Low Layer approach, more similar to what we have for PICs and AVRs (considering  that, I was a little bit confused by the HAL approach, completely non-functional for me as I need to port some code from AVRs and PICs).Thank You!

Posted on May 31, 2017 at 18:23Hello!I am a beginner using the the NUCLEO-F746ZG to drive a 4.3' Newhaven TFT display that has a capacitive touch panel controller. The parts are shown below:https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/stmicroelectronics/NUCLEO-F746ZG/497-16282-ND/5806779https://www.digikey.com/products/en?keywords=NHD-4.3-480272EF-ATXL%23-CTP I was wondering if there is an example test code to see if the connections I made between the display and the nucleo are correct? I made my connections based on pins that can use the LTDC interface as an alternate function.More info: I wish to pull images from an SD card. Certain pictures will be displayed depending on where the the user presses on the screen.Thank you for the help!#tft-lcd #stm32f7 #stm32 #lcd #touch

Posted on September 04, 2017 at 15:18Hello, I need small clarifications about  .data section placement in the STM32F446x mcu. Let say i have a global array in the program and if i run the program on MCU, The arry can be located at 0x20000000 address onwards . How did that array came to that location ? I dont see any code in my project (built using KEIL) which copies data section from flash to SRAM. and as far i know, code region will be mapped to flash memory and not to SRAM. Can anybody please help me to understand how did .data section moves from flash to SRAM ? is it done through sofware or hardware remapping ? Thanks#stm32f4 #stm32f466

Posted on September 07, 2017 at 11:42HiI want to know, what is the difference between stmcube and SPL? Has SPL replaced by stmcube? or stmcube is something above the SPL? cause I think there is another thing called HAL library! Also, when I want to use CMSIS-Core I should use which one of them, If I like to have low level access to registers? I have stm32f40vg discovery board that I bought 4years ago, and like to use CMSIS-Core for programming, but I understood SPL is outdated and not supported for now! So what is the alternative for SPL? Or can I use SPL yet?
