Posted on March 22, 2018 at 19:38I'm Using the CR95HH under a linux Microcontroler.in this case, I'm using the UART port to communicate (not SPI), the default BaudRate is 57600, and works fine, but when I try to change the Baud rate to maximum Speed (Datasheet mention 2 Mbps max), I can't find the right procedure to do that.the page 38 of Datasheethave the description of command 0x0A,  according with this, we need to use a formula to calculate the BaudRate ==> '13.56 /(2*<BaudRate>+2) Mbps', where 'BaudRate' is any number from 0 ~ 255.If I apply this formula, no one number give me the exact Baudrate than Linux support. in any case, I use the most closer to linux Standard. but the only one than works is the Default (B57600)By the Way, I'm using 'C' under linuxmy Actual procedure is:1.- Open Uart port at 576002.- Send WakeUp command to Device3.- send new Baudrate command (0x0A 0x01 0x05)  ==> 0x05 for 1.13 Mbps (Linux more closer B1152000)4.- Close Uart P

Posted on March 04, 2018 at 10:22Hello,I have a SensorTile Kit (STLKT01V1) that I'm trying to test with the Blue MS Android application.As mentioned in the SensorTile http://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/user_manual/group0/bc/b1/ad/c8/36/de/40/92/DM00320099/files/DM00320099.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00320099.pdf I plugged in a USB-mini power source but no light blinks on the SensorTile board and the BlueMS app can not find any nearby device.What am I doing wrong? How can I troubleshoot this?Thanks.#sensortile-kit #sensortile

Posted on March 10, 2018 at 13:49Hello,I am in the process of developing a custom sensored BLDC driver board using STSPIN32F0A IC. The motor used to develop this board is very small and uses less than 10W of power. For now, the lab power supply is set to 2A current limit and a voltage of 7.4V to simulate a 2 cell LiPo battery. When accelerating the motor very fast, the voltage drops and this trips the undervoltage protection of the chip thus stopping the motor and the LDO regulator. This isn't a board issue since it also occurs on the STEVAL-SPIN3202 board. This situation may occur in real applications where the LiPo battery is undersized or it has a low charge. Since the gate driver voltage is the culprit here, can it be supplied externally to the VREG12 pin from another source? Does the IC support different power supplies for the motor and gate driver sections when using a 2S battery? I can only find a reference to connecting it to VM but

Posted on March 12, 2018 at 16:31Hi,    I am having a problem using COMP1 on a STM32l496 chip.  I am doing a proof of concept on a Nucleo board.  I'm using a signal generator to put a 1KHz sine wave on the IN+ pin, and I'm using the DAC as the IN- signal, with the value set to 0.  I'm using CubeMX to generate code for this.  When I run this setup, I get no changes on the comparator.  When I configure the project to use an external pin as IN-, and attach that pin to ground, I get the expected toggling output from the comparator.  When I look at the DAC output, by configuring it's output to go to both an on-chip peripheral and external pin and looking at the pin, the output looks fine.  Does anyone have any idea what I may be doing wrong?  I'm including a code snippet of the COMP1 and DAC setup, and also the lines to show they are running.// from main()HAL_COMP_Start(&hcomp1); HAL_DAC_Start(&hdac1, DAC_CHANNEL_2); HAL_DAC_SetValu

Posted on March 31, 2018 at 00:35I am trying to construct a CubeMX based version of the LwIP_HTTP_Server_Netconn_RTOS project in the repository.  I have used the board selector in CubeMx of the H743i-Eval and setup the options for the hardware to match with the example.  I have added the same drivers and BSP components as used in the project and all compiles OK.However as soon as I try to add the call BSP_LCD_Init() the linker throws numerous errors all coming from stmpe811.o flagging IOE_Read, IOE_Write, IOE_Delay, IOE_ReadMultiple, IOE_ITConfig as undefined references.What is going on?I have attached the eclipse based project.

Posted on March 31, 2018 at 22:59Hi guys!I use HAL drivers and I would like to measure the duty cycle of 10 x 25 kHz (asynchronus) PWM signal, but I'm not sure which peripheral should I use:- if I use timer with capture mode then I get 2 x 10 x 25000 interrupts a second (might be too much?)- I could use RC elements to convert the signals to analog and use the ADC (converting from digital to analog then back to digital again, sounds like unnecessary tasks to me)What would you do in my case?Thank you in advance!Greetings,Pter#capture #pwm #signal #processing #timer

Posted on March 15, 2018 at 07:44Hello and good day!I'm attempting to use the SPWF01SA module with an STM32F0 microcontroller to post some data onto a remote web server. I have come to understand that the  AT+S.HTTPPOST command can only post form data. However, my requirement is to post a JSON packet instead of form data. So, I'm using the  AT+S.HTTPREQ command to send a custom POST request. However, the problem I'm facing is that I'm receiving only '\r' as response from the SPWF01SA module, on executing the AT+S.HTTPREQ command.To walk through my steps, I'm first connecting to a WiFi network using all relevant commands, and am able to successfully receive the 'WIND:24' message from the module. After this, I'm sending the AT+S.HTTPREQ command to the module in the following format:AT+S.HTTPREQ=https://community.st.com/external-link.jspa?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.xxxx.com%2C80%2C1000%5CrPOST /gaiahardsurveytest/v2/getHardSurve

Posted on March 24, 2018 at 18:23I understand that a timer (that supports encoder mode) can be used for keeping track of a rotary incremental encoder, but is there a good way of making the value saturating? So that when turned 'forward' the value increments to a given value and stops incrementing even if the knob is turned further, and the same way when turned 'backward' - the counter value saturates to zero.#encoder-mode #rotary-encoder

Posted on March 29, 2018 at 22:57In my project, I'm using an STM32F091 MCU to communicate with another ARM processor via UART. The communication rate is 1 MBaud, and I'm using the STM32's DMA in circular mode to receive bytes. I have been developing the STM32 firmware on a Nucleo board and using an FTDI USB-to-UART cable as a stand-in for the other processor. I have just recently begun to replace the FTDI cable with the other processor, and some transmission problems have arisen.While the new processor is able to successfully communicate with the STM32 via basic polling (the proper bytes are appearing in RDR, and RXNE is being correctly flagged), the DMA is not activating at Baud rates over 900kBaud when communicating with this specific device.I am convinced there are no problems with the other processor: Its output is properly decoded by a logic analyzer, and it is able to successfully communicate with the FTDI cable. It is only the DMA transfer that is not occuring: the bytes otherw

Posted on March 29, 2018 at 17:23I am using a STM32F429IG, but I am having some difficulties at elevated temperatures.  Much above 70 DegC the program just seems to stop.  I have decoded the internal temperature as well as using an external one, so I an happy the temperature is correct.  Any ideas, anyone, as I'm starting to run out.

Posted on March 30, 2018 at 01:45Hi,I am using a STM32F767Z MCU at the moment, and wanted to understand better understand how update interrupts work.  Specifically: I have configured TIM1 to create an update interrupt when the counter overflows (upcounting mode).  TIM1 is set to Master Mode, and TRGO is set to the update event.TIM2 is set to Slave Mode - Combined Reset Trigger Mode, and has one PWM output on Channel 1.  I set TIM2_CCR1 to determine the duty cycle.In my update interrupt, I would like to update the value of TIM2_CCR1 to modify the duty cycle of PWM Channel 1 on TIM2.I have a few questions regarding this configuration. If I do not set the preload bit for TIM2 PWM Channel 1, and TIM2_CCR1 is already set to some small value (e.g. a value corresponding to 1 microsecond), is it possible that my update interrupt will fail to modify TIM2_CCR1 before the counter reaches the existing value in TIM2_CCR1?If I set the preload bit for TIM2 PWM Channel 1, then which ha

Posted on March 29, 2018 at 19:19Hello,I'm trying to figure out whether it is possible or not to upgrade the firmware of a host processor connected to BlueNRG-MS.From this http://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/st-blue-dfu.html it seems possible:'The ST BlueDFU app allows WeSU (STEVAL-WESU1) boards to receive firmware images over-the-air from a smartphone and write them to the STM32L151 Flash memory.'There is even an application note dedicated to this : http://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/application_note/09/45/83/e0/7d/67/46/2c/DM00115333.pdf/files/DM00115333.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00115333.pdfBut when digging in the code of STEVAL-WESU1 or X-CUBE-BLE I couldn't find where and how it is implemented.I would like to adapt it to make the firmware of the module CMWX1ZZABZ-091 upgradeable from ble.By the way I couldn't find the source code of ST_BLUE_DFU app. Is it possible to get it somewhere? The only feature I want to use from bluetooth is the OTA.Thank

Posted on January 22, 2018 at 15:04Dear,I work on CAN bus with STM32F107 MCU.I arrived to configured CAN 1 with the help of 'CAN Networking' example to send and receive CAN frame but when I try to use the CAN 2 (Slave CAN)? Posted on March 28, 2018 at 11:45Hi !I'm currently using STM32F413 uC.I can not find on the datasheet (and the reference manual) the output voltages of UART pins (or even GPIO).The voltage of course depends on the supply voltage. I'm currently powering my microcontroller with a voltage of 3.3V but my output signals on the UART pin are 1.8V... Where can I find this information? Thanks in advance !

However, I have no idea how to do it.I can:- accept solution (to soon)- reject solution (not exactly what I want)- updateI choose update, it seems to mean 'update your original request'. I added some text, pressed 'Send' and nothing changed. I tried to do it twice.I feel very stupid but now I need technical support on how to use technical support -_-' What should I do if I need to post an answer to my support request without chaning its status or rewriting original question?#st-support #technical-support

Posted on September 27, 2017 at 19:03I want to turn on the led attached to PC.9. I do this:    LL_GPIO_InitTypeDef initStruct;    LL_GPIO_StructInit( &initStruct );        initStruct.Mode = LL_GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_10MHz;    initStruct.OutputType = LL_GPIO_OUTPUT_PUSHPULL;    initStruct.Speed = LL_GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_HIGH;    initStruct.Pin = LL_GPIO_PIN_9; // that equals 0x04020002        LL_GPIO_Init( GPIOC, &initStruct )This code will actually init PC.2 (not PC.9 as it's supposed to) to output push-pull.Why? LL_GPIO_Init does this:    pinpos = POSITION_VAL(GPIO_InitStruct->Pin);where    &sharpdefine POSITION_VAL(VAL)     (__CLZ(__RBIT(VAL))) so pinpos will be equal to (__CLZ(__RBIT( 0x04020002 ))) which is equal to 1.Then current pin will be calculated like this:    currentpin =
