I'm trying to program the STM32F446 using the CubeMX code generator and the uVision 5 IDE on Windows 10 in order to use the CAN bus.I've configured my CubeMX project for the STM32-F446RE Nucleo board. I have PA12 configured as CAN1TX and PA11 configured as CAN1RX. The rest of the pins are on default for the STM32-F446RE Nucleo board. I've generated the code for the uVision 5 IDE.To get started, I'm trying to follow the instructions on how to use the HAL and driver by following the instructions in the comments of stm32f4xx_hal_can.c as well as the instructions on page 120 of the HAL documentation DocID025834 Rev 5. This page gives the following instructions:Enable the CAN controller interface clock using __HAL_RCC_CAN1_CLK_ENABLE() for CAN1, __HAL_RCC_CAN2_CLK_ENABLE() for CAN2 and __HAL_RCC_CAN3_CLK_ENABLE() for CAN3 In case you are using CAN2 only, you have to enable the CAN1 clock.CAN pins configuration  **Enable the clock for the CAN GPIOs using the following function: __GPIOx_CLK_

Posted on December 19, 2017 at 23:03I'm using a M24LR64E-R and I can't seem to get the ST NFC Tap iPhone app to recognize it. I can get it to work with the M24LR-discovery board which has the M24LR04E-R on it.I'm pretty sure I have a valid NDEF record on the M24LR64E-R. However, when I read both tags with the Android ST25 app, it lists 'NFC type V - ISO/IEC 15693' for the discovery board, but only lists 'ISO/IEC 15693' for my board. I have even tried saving the memory from the discovery board and dumping it on mine, with no luck.Is it possible to read a M24LR64E-R with an iPhone?#ios #nfc #m24lr

Hi,I am struggling with HW timers when using FreeRTOS. Using H743ZI Nucleo Board and writing on FreeRTOS application examples.I have changed ThreadCreation application a little bit: created another task that initializes LEDs and a timer, and creates other 2 tasks.In the modified application, I have tried to setup a timer to get interrupts in every 4 us that only blinks an LED. None of LEDs were blinking and when debugging paused, system goes Default_Handler. If I comment out timer part, FreeRTOS and tasks works fine; if osKernelStart() line is commented out, timer and interrupt works fine. But I need both so any help will be magnificent.Here is some part of code:int main(void) { /* Enable the CPU Cache */ CPU_CACHE_Enable();     HAL_Init();   /* Configure the system clock to 400 MHz */ SystemClock_Config(); /* Init thread definition */ osThreadDef(INIT, Init_Thread, osPriorityNormal, 0, configMINIMAL_STACK_SIZE); /* Start thread 1 */ InitThreadHandle = osThr

Hi AllI don't have all widgets in the TouchGFX Designer 4.10.0. For example Text area with wildcard is missing. Where do I found them?Thank you

I used the ST25 android app to write an NDEF uri record to a st25dv16k tag I designed, and when I read the memory I can see the coding for it, however, when I try to tap the tag with my wifi on, the phone does not go to the website encoded, it just reopens the ST25 app. Is there something I am missing? Do I need to further format the chip before the phone will respond to the command? This is my first nfc tag design and first time working with this chip and app.Also, is there a way to stop the ST25 app from opening automatically whenever I use the NFC function on my phone? Thanks!Christina

Hi,I am currently working with an STM32F0 Discovery Board (with CubeMX and HAL). I am trying to shift two PWMs.The first thing I tried was to program TIM1 and TIM3 as follows:Channel 1 of TIM 1 is the trigger of the TIM3 PWM and the configuration of this last timer is:It is rather simple but it works perfectly. I just calculated the pulse_length of the TIM 1- CH1 to have a 10us phase shift between TIM1-CH2 and TIM3-CH1.However, I tried to do the same thing with TIM15 (because it has CH1 and CH1N PWM generation). And it does not work like the previous case. The time-shift between TIM1-CH2 and TIM15-CH1 does not match with the programmed value.Now, the interesting part. Since TIM15 did not work, I programmed TIM2 as well just to check if the GPIO port related to TIM15 was burned or something. Well, if you program TIM2-CH1 as a PWM output, then TIM15-CH1 begins to work properly with a 10us shifted value, as programmed. I do not need to start the channel of TIM2. Just configurate TIM2.Any

Views: 12I have an enquiry to enable a retail display rack with an RFID stock check facility.The display rack something along these lines:(not the actual design - I just stole that picture off the internet)Each "pigeon hole" contains 1 sale item, to be RFID labelled.Up to 100 "pigeon holes" Any suggestions for suitable RFID technology / product(s) / antenna arrangement to achieve this ?Thanks

I have distilled the example code provided for the ST25RU3993 evaluation kit down to issue a query, look for an RN, issue an ack and read the fifo on successful reception of the EPC number. I there a command other than the Query command that I can use to issue a request for the EPC and the TID number? I have attached the code I have implemented so far for a bit of clarity.

In my project for our STM32H743 board we need to access an SD-Card (SDMMC1) with FatFs. The supplied sample code for the eval boards is not created with CubeMX and therefore the structure is different and does not really help.I tried to implement a simple read directory function, but the SD-card state is not turning to "Ok". Card-Detect is working, Clock is output at 25 MHz, Signals look ok when booting the system (400 kHz, 25 MHz), CMD signals are coming, but then the file systems fails.Has anybody tried to implement this using STM32CubeMX? Is it enough to simply activate the MDMA Transfer1 for SDMMC1 data end using the default entries? Any recommendations for the Request Settings?Any help is very much appreciated!

First post on the forum...I’m currently programming a custom PCB with an Stm32f446ret6 for an uC. Using an SWD interface and System Workbench the program uploads fine. However when I disconnect the board, and then hook it up to an external P.S. the program doesn’t run.I’ve done a fair bit of searching on the forums to try to figure out what the trouble might be. Here’s my current setup...Boot0 -> 10k resistor to GNDNrst -> 0.1uF (100nF) cap to groundI also have an stmf446re Nucleo board that I used for prototyping, and it has the same issue of the program being erased on power cycle. I have checked the STlink firmware and it is on the most current version. Hopefully someone’s come across something sililar.Cheers

So i need a sink setup with the standalone stusb 4500 but i can not find examples on how to make a 20v 3a setup for negotiation. Anyone who could bring some light into this ? Maybe you have a schematic you could share so that we all can find or is it simply not possible ?

Hi,I'm using stm8s003f3p6 microcontroller and learn it's different internal peripheral. using SPLHow can i write a byte at RAM location like 0x00 and read from it.i also want to use IAP commands for flash.i have read stm8s Reference manual , dastasheet and flash programming manual, but i can't find related to.do anyone has code example ,link or document or sample code.

I am developing a serial comms protocol between two STM32F407s.I am using the hardware CRC module to generate checksums for some of the data.I am also writing a test script in python to aid development.All has gone well until now.Now I need my test script to generate a checksum that agrees with the F4's CRC module.I have been unsuccessful.Reading around, it seems that all I should need to do is reverse the bit order going in and reverse and invert the bits read out.I have done this in my script and in the firmware. No joy.I have tried 7 variants on CRC32 in my script, using crccheck lib. No joy.I have tried implementing my own CRC32 function using the flow chart in Application Note AN4187. No joy.I have systematically inverted and reversed bits, byte wise, word wise, and swapped endianness before, after and both, and compared against inverted, reversed and endianness swapped checksums with each of the above 8 algorithms, even fed the CRC modules byte by byte (2224 combinations). No fri

Hello,Is it possible to change the template of a projet after its creation ?Thanks.

I am trying to use Timer Output Compare on STM32F746NG with the following code:void TIM1_CC_IRQHandler(void) { volatile uint32_t a = TIM1->CNT;   printf("DUMMY\r\n"); }   void timer_start(void) { TIM_HandleTypeDef htim1; TIM_OC_InitTypeDef tim1_ch1;   __HAL_RCC_TIM1_CLK_ENABLE(); htim1.Instance = TIM1; htim1.Init.Prescaler = 7; htim1.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; htim1.Init.Period = 107; htim1.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_CLOCKDIVISION_DIV1; htim1.Init.RepetitionCounter = 0; htim1.Init.AutoReloadPreload = TIM_AUTORELOAD_PRELOAD_DISABLE; while (HAL_TIM_OC_Init(&htim1) != HAL_OK);   tim1_ch1.OCMode = TIM_OCMODE_PWM1; tim1_ch1.OCPolarity = TIM_OCNPOLARITY_HIGH; tim1_ch1.OCFastMode = TIM_OCFAST_DISABLE; tim1_ch1.Pulse = 50;   __HAL_TIM_ENABLE_IT(&htim1, TIM_IT_CC1); HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(TIM1_CC_IRQn, 5, 0); HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(TIM1_CC_IRQn);   HAL_TIM_OC_ConfigChannel(&htim1, &tim1_ch1, TIM_CHANNEL_1); HAL_TIM_OC_S

Hello,I am using timer as stm32f401.However, the clock set in CubeMx is different from the actual clock. (I set it to 48Mhz, but I get 2Mhz when measuring with an oscilloscope.)I used the MCO pin to measure the PLLCLK clock, but my set clock does not come out.Where should I look for a solution?

I am trying to get the internal CPU temperature on an STM32H743. Source is generated with STM32CubeMX V. 5.0.When reading the internal temperature sensor (ADC3) I get different and too high values depending on the setting of the sampling time.When set to 810.5 = 68.1 °C 367.5 = 66.9 64.5 = 88.74I took the calculation formula from the manual which says:Temperature (in °C) = (110 °C – 30 °C) / (TS_CAL2 – TS_CAL1) * (TS_DATA – TS_CAL1) + 30 °CHere is my source code for reading the temp:called in main: HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc3);#define TEMP110_CAL_ADDR   ((uint16_t*)((uint32_t)0x1FF1E840))#define TEMP30_CAL_ADDR      ((uint16_t*)((uint32_t)0x1FF1E820))double adc_ReadInternalTemp(void){   static double dTemp;   static uint32_t raw_value;   static uint32_t T1_30;   static uint32_t T2_110;   raw_value = HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc3);

I'm trying to use interrupts for SPI, but am a little lost. I see the Transmit_IT function in the HAL library, but I'm not certain how to use it in a non-blocking state. Is there an example on how to use it?

Using Windows 7, 64 bit. Installed Keil uVision5 first and can run. Install of STM32CubeMX had no issues but can't run the application. Have updated Java, uninstalled CubeMX and reinstalled CubeMX and getting the same message. Not sure about editing the registry -- don't want to screw it up. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Hi all,I have a problem when jumping from one application to another within my new STM32H7 system.Explaination: All my systems can be updated via my own bootloader (running on 0x800 0000) application, which communicates via USB port with a PC to my special Universal Flash Loader tool.The bootloader is located at 0x8000000 (startup application) and the actual application of the system is located at 0x8080000.At startup the bootloader checks in a separate location (0x8020000) if an application has been successfully loaded (a flag and the application start address are read from 0x8020000).Then it jumps to the application and runs the code. In case the application should be updated, this application jumps back into the bootloader who will take care for the update procedure.This works very well on all of my STM32F4 and F7 projects. Now I face a hard fault error when jumping to the application from the bootloader after the application has been flashed for the first time. In the first place I

Hello,RM0394 Rev. 4 chapter 16.4.2 clocks should note in a preamble or something similar that Dual clock and ADC12_CLK is not available on STM32L412. Reading through RM0394 I conclude that ADC clock is HCLK fixed on L412, but I don't see it stated anywhere. If the description in 6.4.27 for Bits 28/29 whould state the ADC Clock for STM32L412 is HCLK fixed, thing would be clearer.Kind regards

MCU: STM32F303RETxFirmware: STM32Cube FW_F3 V1.10.0In TIM15 -> Mode -> Combined Channels it is not possible to select XOR input on TI1:In the reference manual (RM0316) at page 685 you can see the XOR input:And at page 720, the register TIM15_CR2[TI1S] description:So I suppose that there really is the possibility of activating the XOR input for TI1 of TIM15, but the possibility of doing it in STM32CubeMX is missing. Maybe a BUG?RegardsAndrea

Hello,I am looking for the demonstration of the stm32f746 and stm32L476 Discovery cards that are included in the purchase of an STM32 card.thank you in advance

The program is alternating between two modes, one is high performance and the second is low power. For perfomance mode the ADC is used with a timer triggering and DMA+interrupt at fast rate. In the low power mode it is intended to make a single conversion triggered by software on a very slow pace. The clocking is also different. Now I am using custom code to switch peripheral configuration between the two modes. I Would like to use CubeMX for both, in the cleanest possible way. Any good experience to share? Thanks!
