I am using the latest (1.06) android sample code for BLUENRG-2 SoC. After compiling the sample code with MobleLibrary-release.aar library, the apk file is created but when I am running the app in my mobile it crashes. I tried to debug the code and saw that the crash happens at/after : "mNetwork = mobleNetwork.createNetwork(address);" in the Configuration.java file. Kindly guide.

Pretty frustrating experience so far. I have seen many people asking but no-one has a straight answer. Very simple question, these are my steps:1- Started Cube32MX, selected NUCLEO and reset all no essential pins. See photo. 2- Clock configuration is set to 96MHz. Trying to set clock to 400MHz creates a never ending searchThis is just one of several dead-end headaches I am experiencing after migrating from L4 to H7. Can someone from ST please make an honest comment on this.

Hi Guys, I've searched the ST website on info for setting up the LCD RGB 24bit controller and can't seem to find any info. The reference manual has a little info but doesn't show pin connections etc. Is there a webpage dedicated to the LCD Controller? Thanks Guys, Peter.

I could not find direct definition for the RCC mode options in CubeMX, are these correct?RCC Mode Options:'Disable' - External oscillator disconnected'BYPASS Clock Source' -  External active clock source'Crystal/Ceramic Resonator' -  External passive oscillator connectedIs this correct? I assume so, just wanted to be safe for confirmation :)CubeMX Loc: 'System Core->RCC->RCC Mode and Configuration->Mode->HSE&LSE'

I am using a STM32F746NG which I am attempting to use the STM32_USB_Host_Library. I am able to initialise and start the process fine, but as soon as I connect a USB device to the port the program freezes. I am unsure if the issue is to do with the configuration of the "STM32_USB_Host_Library" or if the issue is to do with the configuration of "STM32F7xx_HAL_Driver". I have found however that the application won't freeze if I comment out the following line from "stm32f7xx_ll_usb.c" (Although then the app won't work)HAL_StatusTypeDef USB_EnableGlobalInt(USB_OTG_GlobalTypeDef *USBx) { //DISABLING THIS LINE STOPS FREEZING USBx->GAHBCFG |= USB_OTG_GAHBCFG_GINT; return HAL_OK; }Does anyone know why this may happen? Or where the kind of area to look for what happens when the USB connects to see if I can track down further what the actual issue is.Thanks in advance

Hi, guys. I boughtSTM32F446RE, mbed-Enabled Development Nucleo STM32F4 MCU 32-Bit ARM® Cortex®-M4 Embedded Evaluation Board (NUCLEO-F446RE)https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/stmicroelectronics/NUCLEO-F446RE/497-15882-ND/53477128MHz ±10ppm Crystal 18pF 80 Ohms HC-49/UShttps://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/txc-corporation/9B-8.000MEEJ-B/887-1233-ND/2207653Mostly the internal clock is less accurate than the external crystal. So I'm planning to populate a 8MHz clock to the board. If I use the external 8MHz as a clock source, do I get an accurate timing than using the internal high frequency resonator?I noticed the 12-bit DAC of STM32L4 discovery board showed the above result. I tried to toggle 0V ~ 3.3V after 200usec. The waveform was not flat compared to the STM32F4 discovery board's output. Since the STM32L4's APB1 clock is faster than STM32F4's APB1 clock, I thought STM32L4's DAC would do the same job. What is the reason for STM32L4 DAC's output when operating with usec range?

Hello, may someone help me with these peripherals? I have never used them on any ARM.I am using STM32F051C6T8 in this project. My setup, I have two shift register chains connected to SPI peripherals. I am using two peripherals, because two types of registers I am using, have different CPOL/CPHA requirements.I am using SPIs as TX-only, with SS signals generated by software and GPIO peripherals - MOSI and SCLK pins only.RCC->APB2RSTR |= RCC_APB2RSTR_SPI1RST; RCC->APB2RSTR &= ~RCC_APB2RSTR_SPI1RST; RCC->APB2ENR |= RCC_APB2ENR_SPI1EN; SPI1->CR1 |= SPI_CR1_BR_1; SPI1->CR1 |= SPI_CR1_CPHA; SPI1->CR1 |= SPI_CR1_MSTR; SPI1->CR2 |= SPI_CR2_DS; SPI1->CR1 |= SPI_CR1_SPE;Above is init code for SPI1. Hi,We have a bespoke board built around a STM3L4 and a M24SR04-Y.We share data with a NFC reader, i.e. the NFC reader can write a command into the M24SR EEPROM, interrupt the STM32 via GPO and the STM32 will reply by writing something in the EEPROM.Broadly speaking what we've done works. We can use the NFC reader to change the configuration of our device and retrieve data from the device. We finished this code some weeks ago and have been using it.We have recently realised that if we abuse the process by continually exchanging information between the NFC reader and the STM32 it will eventually fail. Earlier I tried continually reading from the STM32 for 10 minutes, it failed on the 620th attempt. In the STM32 code we're forcing the open session and our code gets stuck polling for this to be successful. After that the M24SR seems to be stuck because there is no response from the I2C or NFC sides. The I2C bus is still working because we have another I2C device and it still responds. Restar

Hi,i would like to rotate the text of a flex button from within the designer.Did i miss something? Will you add the rotation option like on the button with label?

I set up DMA with USART in CubeMX 5.0.1 but it is not working correctly....When callingHAL_UART_Receive_DMA(&huart1,USARTBuffer,10);Only the first [0] field of my array changes and contains a received char. All other fields stay untouched. After that I can do what ever I want, DMA seems not to work until I reset. Than I get once again only one char.What am I doing wrong?Contents of my usart.cUART_HandleTypeDef huart1; DMA_HandleTypeDef hdma_usart1_rx;   /* USART1 init function */   void MX_USART1_UART_Init(void) {   huart1.Instance = USART1; huart1.Init.BaudRate = 9600; huart1.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_8B; huart1.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; huart1.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_NONE; huart1.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_TX_RX; huart1.Init.HwFlowCtl = UART_HWCONTROL_NONE; huart1.Init.OverSampling = UART_OVERSAMPLING_16; huart1.Init.OneBitSampling = UART_ONE_BIT_SAMPLE_DISABLE; huart1.AdvancedInit.AdvFeatureInit = UART_ADVFEATURE_NO_INIT; if (HAL_UART_Init(&

I have an application where it is necessary to read data from external flash to perform operations on data stored in external SRAM by using the same fmc connections. In this case the parallel interface is important as the operations are time sensitive, internal flash and SRAM is not sufficient as i require about 2MB of each. In a previous application I have, with great success, used the FMC to access multiplexed asynchronous SRAM, I am therefore aware that one has to specify the external memory type in during the FMC setup procedure. In short, would it be possible to read/write from external flash memory by using the FSMC set-up in SRAM mode or would the configuration have to change each time the memory type changes?

Hello,Currently i am using NUCLEO-F767ZI  as a development board for my application. As part of project requirement i have to explore NFC. I have gone through the specifications of X-NUCLEO-NFC01A1. This board is using Arduino UNO R3 connector. But NUCLEO-F767ZI board is using Arduino™ Uno V3. Can i interface X-NUCLEO-NFC01A1 with NUCLEO-F767ZI as a expansion board, will there not be a compatibility issue? I request your help in understanding this.Thanks,J. Sekhar

Hi,I'm using the STM32 F429ZI MCU, and I was wondering if an entire port can be deinitialized rather than one pin at a time. I know of the HAL_GPIO_DeInit() in the STM32 headers but it looks like it works one pin at a time. Is there a function to DeInit an entire port, like DeInit(GPIOx)?

I need to whip up a quick daughter board (shield?) for a Nucleo 144 board (F429 discovery). Are Eagle CAD files available (with board outline, connectors, power+signals, ready to add our components)? Thanks!Best Regards, Dave

Hello all,I built with CubeMX 5.0.1 a project from scratch using the default settings. The modifications:MMC --> SD (otherwise it wouldn't run. How many erase / write cycles is the flash inside the STM32L475VC good for? Thanks.David Smith

I have designed a pcb that will connect the st25dv16k chip to a tuned trace antenna. Before I solder it, is there anything I need to do to the chip itself, programming or otherwise, in order for the tag to read on a device such as a phone? I haven't tried it yet, just don't want to solder the chip on yet if there are steps I'm missing. Thanks!Christina

I got the latest CMSIS from github and tried using the DSP code on a STM32H743ZI chip. I call three APIs which are:arm_cfft_f32()arm_cmplx_mag_f32()arm_max_f32()The code compiles fine with GCC but when it comes time to link I get a 'undefined reference to arm_bitreversal_32' error which is used in the arm_cfft_f32() call. I've been all over the internet and tried many things, none of which worked. The short list of things I've tried is:Added -lmRenamed arm_bitreversal2.S to arm_bitreversal2.cAdded -x assembler-with-cppAdded -mthumbetc, etc, etc.Has anyone gotten GCC to link CMSIS DSP and run any FFT related code? I assume there are some compiler switches I'm missing, all of the files are there it just won't link. It seems many people all over the internet have had this problem and each 'solution' seems to be hyper tailored to that individual. Not that this should make a difference but I'm developing my code in Visual Studio 17 with the VisualGDB plugin with my project being of type Embe

Hi, I have been trying to have my screen change from my own code. Right now, I tried from another thread to do the following:I have two screens that I currently alternate every 15 seconds. FrontendApplication* App; App = static_cast<FrontendApplication*>(Application::getInstance()); uint8_t Screen = 1; while(1) { osDelay(15000); if(Screen == 0) { App->gotoStatus1ScreenNoTransition(); Screen = 1; } else { App->gotoStatus2ScreenNoTransition(); Screen = 0; } }My program starts with the Status1 screen displayed. When my call to gotoStatus2ScreenNoTransition gets executed, the screen rarely gets refreshed. When it does, it gets refreshed after 10-12 seconds only. Most of the time it does not refresh at all during the 15 seconds delay. I only get a frozen Screen1 (Screen1 has information that scrolls and changes). But as soon as the call to gotoStatus1ScreenNoTransition is executed, the screen is refreshed properly .I know it is a hard to understand without the fu

I use ST25DV to write binary files. I can only write one BLOCK at a time. I think every time I write is Multiple BLLOCK,Each BLOCK has 4 bytes. If I want to write 64 bytes(binary fules）, the boad have to read and write 16 times. If I want to read and write 64 bytes(16 BLOCK) at one time. What should I do?

I have a question in my mind does bootloader which comes with ARM chips has written in assembly code or c/c++ code ? How does the code look like , because i have implemented in application programming bootloader concept in my project where board reads the dfu and bin file from the usb stick which is connected to the board.Where does the bootloader resides in memory ? does it has vector table to start its execution ? does bootloader program itself makes decision to read BOOT0 and BOOT1 pins ?

Hello,I'm currently working on a STM32F411 MCU project which includes a BlueNRG-MS module and a bootloader for reprograming OTA purpose. The bootloader is at address 0x08000000.I would like to program, by the MCU application (not the bootloader) into the flash, a binary file sent over the air at an address determined by the MCU app.But it looks like the binary file can't be programmed anywhere into the flash but only at the address specified by the linker. For exemple, if I program a binary file with the ST Link at address 0x0800C000 with the following memory areas in the linker, the bootloader jumps to this new app and it works :MEMORY{RAM (xrw)   : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 128KFLASH (rx)   : ORIGIN = 0x800C000, LENGTH = 512K - 48k}But if I change the FLASH origin to address 0x08000000 but still program it at address 0x0800C000, the bootloader doesn't jump to this new application.I thought binary file didn't have any metadata and could be programed an

Hello,I'm trying to integrate latest crypto lib (v. 3.1.2, FW implementation) into my TrueSTUDIO project but encryption with AES-CBC-128 fails.Example project in Fw_Crypto\STM32L0\Projects\STM32L053R8-Nucleo\AES\AES192_CBC fails both encryption and decryption phases.Digging into the issue I reduced key size to 128bits and set Key, IV and Plaintext as all 0's (16B long): encryption works correctly (according to various online AES calculators).Changing a single bit in Plaintext will break encryption: it looks like some data are ignored and some other are read multiple times (always comparing result with online calculators). If I split the 16B of plaintext into 4 groups (4B each - let's call them p1 p2 p3 p4), library behaves as if plaintext was p2 p1 p1 p1: changing bits in p3 and p4 does not change ciphertext (!).What am I missing?Alessandro

Hello all.I use ST25R3911B-DISCO and dynamic tag ST25dv04kWhen reading data from FIFO come bytes with a redundant cipher.Suppose the code is presented as custom manchester code:10 - 0, (two bits in recived bytes - bit result)01 - 1,00 - 0,11 - 1.After that, you need to perform a cyclic shift to the right by 3.It all works with the exception of some bytes. For example: in fact (in tag buffer) - 0xAA. Recived 0x3333, after decryption - 0xAA. All okBut it happens: in fact - 0xCC. Recived 0xb3b4, after decryption - 0xCA.Where can I read more about this cipher?Or what am I doing wrong?

Hello everybody!I've been watching/reading this forum for a while now, trying to enlighten myself, but without success. So, this is my first question... While not being new to electronics, microcontrollers and programming, I am new to ARM. I've spent the last (more than) two weeks reading hundreds of pages (reference&technical manuals, etc.), forums, blogs, tutorials, you name it! At the end of all this, I thought I understood something... but it looks like the more I read, the more overwhelmed and confused I am... Anyways, I tried to apply my new and hard gained knowledge by writing some simple programs. But how?! The some chaotic (to me) mountain of information about these micros, reigns in the software domain too. There is a myriad of IDEs and command line tools to choose from, then HAL/LL/Standard Library, etc. I've tried quite a few of them (Keil uVision, Eclipse, Cube[F1|MX]) without great reasonable results. What I am trying to achieve is some intimate knowledge of the perip
