We are working on a very low power device which requires a "wake up" interrupt utilizing a "cost effective" device. I have initially started looking at the LIS3DE which has two interrupt outputs. We essentially are in an active (VCC is on), with low power consumption waiting for the shock to occur. Once the shock occurs, we need to generate an interrupt to "wake up" the MCU.We need to have an interrupt occur at 100usecs after sensing the shock and generate the interrupt. Can you provide a recommendation which of your devices fits these requirements best?NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us. We regularly review support cases and add any helpful ones here for all to benefit from.

Datasheet DS12536 Rev 1, page 45 says:-----------------------------------------------------------------The STM32F730x8 devices feature a UTMI low-pin interface (ULPI) for high-speed operation (480 Mbit/s). When using the USB OTG HS in HS mode, an external PHY device connected to the ULPI is required. The STM32F730x8 devices feature an integrated PHY HS.--------------------------------------------------------------------As you can see, these records do not provide information about which specific devices require external PHY.Additionally, I've found little bit more clear descritption in the very different part of mentioned document: page 13.-------------------------------------------------An USB OTG full-speed and a USB OTG high-speed with full-speed capability (with the ULPI only for the LQFP64 and LQFP100 packages and with the integrated HS PHY for the LQFP144 and UFBGA176 packages) -------------------------------------------------That sounds much more clear. So it looks like reco

Hi Guys!I'm using windows 7 to programming via SWD the BlueNRG-1.Using this version of windows I don't have any problem. It is my dev PC.But now I need to use on Windows 10 to mass production and change MAC address. The factory only have Windows 10.I tried 3 different PCs with windows 10 and always got an error of installation.Follow the error when the software try to install the USB driver.Thank you!

Hi,I am trying to get the NMEA data over UART and print it over another uart .But when i try read in loop after writing data to PC ,I'm not receiving any data. what could be the issue?any ideas ??

Hey.I am using the STM32F769I Discovery board, and I want to decode a JPEG which I receive from Arducam Mini via SPI.I used the code from the JPEG_DecodingUsingFs_DMA Example and modified the JPEG_Decode_DMA function in a way, that it takes a binary array as data input, rather than a file object. Everything else stayed the same. However, when I start decoding, I won't get to JpegProcessingEnd triggered by the JPEG_OutputHandler. This seem to be, because of the Jpeg_OUT_BufferTabs won't change their state to "FULL".Any idea or hint for me why this is not working?Or what I can test to find out the cause for that?

We are developing an application where the host controller will drive two radio modules. But Host controller software should have MISRA 2012 compliant SDK with RTOS support and should support FIPS-certified crypto library.Do anyone can help us to find appropriate MCU that meet our requirements ?

Hello, for an upcoming project I am searching for a low-power microcontroller with a rich peripheral set and the possibility to sample low frequency signals in the range from -0.4V to 3.6V .As far as I have looked it up I will have no chance realising this project with a STM32L4x but maybe somebody has a good solution suggestion for me on that matter.I preferably want to avoid an extra ADC chip.best regardsBenjamin

I have a design with STC3115AIQT as in picture:VBAT and GND are connected to positive and negative terminals of a Li-Ion battery, respectively. When the device is powered-off 3V_L is connected to GND. In this condition VIN pin is sinking 3mA of current, i.e. Voltage across R15 is 3V.Why is it so abnormally high compared to the value stated in datasheet (1µA)? How can I fix it?

HiI have been trying to get USB HOST MSC working on the NUCLEO-H743ZI and cannot get past one point. I have reduced my test to a new test project with auto-generated code via STm32CubeIDE with the following settings.FATFS enabled for USB only with USBH instance = "USBH Host MSC FS" and VOLUMES increased to 2USB_HOST set to FS Mass Storage Host Class only and VBUS driven by GPIOUSB_OTG_FS in Host_Only mode with VBUS sensing on and SOF activated (although I tried these off as well.USB Clock confirmed as 48MhzThe auto-generated code gives me the basics, and I have added a VBUS enable after initialising everything, and I can see the LED light as well as measure 5V on the USB power lines. /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_ETH_Init(); MX_USART3_UART_Init(); MX_FATFS_Init(); MX_USB_HOST_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */   MX_DriverVbusFS(0); // Turn on USB power   /* USER CODE END 2 */With that as the basics, I can see that the USBH_UserProcess is

I've been working on making my SD SDIO card access non blocking. My implementation is a derivative from the standard ST SDIO SD driver (stm324xg_eval_sdio_sd).I'm using Protothreads (basically a state machine) to make the SD SDIO calls non-blocking and allow the program execution to continue while I'm waiting for the operations to complete. For some unknown reason, and I've not been able to identify the cause, when I continue with the program execution, I get a timeout error from the SDIO interface. But when I block and wait for the result all is fine. This is what I currently have:static PT_THREAD(sd_CMDResponse1Error_V(struct pt* Thread_PS, uint8_t CMD_U8, SD_Error* SDResult_PE)) { static uint32_t Status_U32; uint32_t Response_U32; static uint32_t Timeout_U32;   // Begin the thread PT_BEGIN(Thread_PS);   // Initialise the result *SDResult_PE = SD_OK;   // Initialise the timeout Timeout_U32 = SDIO_CMD0TIMEOUT;   while (1) { // Get the status Status_U

Hi,I am only a bit familiar with embedded linux. I will develop a demo project with STM32MP157C-DK2 with C language:on M4 side, a sensor(BME280) and a vantilator (5v) are connected. Sensor is to read periodically and three numerical values( temp, humidity, pressure) will be send to A7 sideon A7 side a QT application will receive these three values and display them continuosly. Over this QT application, the user will be able to send on or off command for vantilator to M4.M4 will receive this command and then will start or stop the vantilator. At first, I should say, I played a bit with the board, did all the work which is called getting started with DK2 (https://wiki.st.com). Then I saw an article in bootlin about using BME280 sensor. But this article doesnt help me because it explains how to read the sensor from A7 (linux side). However I will read the sensor from M4 side.Honestly, I don't know how my roadmap will be.I mean where to start and which mechanisms, middlewares, package (dev

Hi everyone,I am using the Nucleo-WB55RG to try and fully erase/program the flash memory. However, when the FLASH_MassErase() function is called in stm32wbxx_hal_flash_ex.c, a hard fault exception occurs. I believe this has to do with trying to erase the secure memory only accessible through CPU2. When I try to boot up CPU2 (set C2BOOT pin) I receive a PGSERR flag in the FLASH_C2SR register. This has been extremely inconvenient that for the entire flash to be erased, you need execute from CPU2 and the boot process is not exactly straight forward. Are there any suggestions on how to gain access to CPU2 and perform the mass erase function? Thanks.Steve

Lets say I need to separate module, one will contain the pcb with mpu and other IC, the second will contain a touchscreen display and sensors. The modules are 2 meters apart. What should I use hdmi or mipi? How do I send mipi over distance?

I refer to the source code for "Model UI Demo 1 TouchGFX".I would like to enlarge the PieChart, but I can't figure out how to do it. In the GraphView::setupScreen function I modified the values for center, height and width.// GraphView.cpp - GraphView::setupScreen pieChartX = 0; pieChartY = -16; donutX = pieChartX; donutY = 34; pieChart.setPosition(pieChartX, pieChartY, 300, 300); /* <- modified */ pieChart.setCenter(150, 150); /* <- modified */ pieChart.setPieChart(0, 0, 0, 0); pieChart.recalculatePieChart();However, the PieChart radius does not change.how to do ?//Antonello

Can anyone point me to an example on how to use bluetooth for this discovery board? Will it be possible to pair to two bluetooth sensors at the same time?

How to draw a dotted rectangle while dragging to select a part of the interface?

Hello,I am working with STM32F413H discovery board, it was working fine with inbuilt debugger but this reference board raising error like "Error in initializing ST-LINK error" while flashing. After this I got better answer from ST employee that : "If code on your device breaks the debug interface pins or powers down it won't be connectable.Try "Connect Under Reset" optionsTry pulling BOOT0 High so your code in FLASH doesn't run."Here, can I make BOOT0 pin high while flashing right ? and after flashing can BOOT0 pin make it low? and can one elaborate "Connect Under Reset" optionsIDE : STM32cube IDEdevelopment board :STM32F413HBest Regards, Nitish

External interrupt errata?I have setup EXTI_Line12 and EXTI_Line14 to generate en interrupt. But the EXTI15_10_IRQHandler() fails to execute a second interrupt if it happens too close to the first interrupt. But it seems only happen when I use bit-banding to check and clear the bits in the EXTI->PR register. If I access the EXTI->PR directly at the normal address it does not happen. Is this a known problem?I read something similar in another chip errata (but on an STM8):When an interrupt handler starts executing a service routine and an external interrupt (EXTI) request is pending or arrives during the same cycle, the external interrupt is not executed.void EXTI15_10_IRQHandler(void) { GPIO_SetBits(GPIOB, GPIO_Pin_10); // Toggle PB10 to show we are entering the interrupt GPIO_ResetBits(GPIOB, GPIO_Pin_10); // NOTE: // PERIPH_GET_BIT is a macro that reads one bit using bit-banding // PERIPH_SET_BIT is a macro that sets a bit using bit-banding #ifdef USE_BIT_BANDING if

I'm having trouble getting the ADC on a STM32L476VGT6 discovery board to work. If I run by configuration code then click the ADSTART bit in the debugger, everything works fine. If I set the ADSTART bit in code in real time, the conversion never finishes. Anyone have a simple, single-channel, single-conversion ADC example?

I'm trying to implement a self-test for the LSM6DSOX in Mode 1 (as in page 118 of AN5272 Rev 3). Could someone explain what the ST_X, ST_Y, ST_Z variables represent? Would Min(ST_X) be the minimum value of the 5 samples while self-test is enabled, or the minimum of all 10 samples taken? Also, I'm assuming that OUTX_, OUTY_, and OUTZ_ variables are the averages of the 5 samples for each NOST and ST case. Is that correct? If that is correct, then it looks like the pass/fail criteria is comparing the difference between NOST and ST averages to the minimum and maximum sample values. That math doesn't make sense to me. I'd appreciate some clarification - thanks!

Right now it appears we must use AC6. Will it be long before CubeIDE works?

About STM32H743VGT6Selector of STM32CubeMX show that flash size of STM32H743VGT6 is 1024K.but when i used STM32CubeProgrammer to connect it,that show flash size if 2048K。even the sector from 0x0810 0000 to 0x081f ffff can be erase and program to。so the flash size of STM32H743VGT6 is 1M or 2M？
