Solved

Hi there,I am quite new to this embedded platform. I am trying to work on enabling uart7 on the STM32H7S78-Discovery kit, while working on this display GUI using touchgfx designer 4.26.0. After scouring through some videos it is recommended to open up .ioc configuration file using STM32cubeMX to enable the peripheral (e.g uart7). However after generating code and using STM32cubeIDE to flash the H7S78 discovery kit the screen goes blank after reset button was pushed. Could you advice what is the right workflow with touchgfx -> STM32cubeIDE and STMcubeMX (to enable peripherals) -> back to touchgfx to further add/change touch buttons etc

Hi Everyone, I wanted to add a audio codec with stm32U585aii6Q can anyone share he reference or guide how can it be done. Thanks Regards Sakshi

Hello, everyone on the forum. I am using ThreadX and FileX to write files to an SD card on the STMH735G-DK. I successfully created a directory using fx_directory_create and created a file using fx_file_create. This time, we'll tackle directory deletion using fx_directory_delete. However, if the directory contains files, deletion will fail with error code FX_DIR_NOT_EMPTY. How can I search for filenames within a directory using FileX? If anyone knows anything, please give me some advice.

Hello everyone, I am working on a project related to CAN communication, and I don't have complete knowledge about the RTR Remote and RTR DATA features within CAN. Should I use RTR Remote in a complex system?

Hi There,So, I got some of the STM32C011J6 MCUs for my simple project of reading sensors data and generating an interrupt. But I am in a dilemma, that the MCU's has I2C Pins, SWD Pins for programming, GPIO pins to act as interrupt but how to initialize it in CUBEMX.I am planning to build PCB after I successfully assign pins in CUBEMX.When I choose I2C, It blocks the SWD Pins and Vice versa. Also, is External Crystal necessary for such MCU? Looking forward to most of the suggestions and resources. My plan is to read a sensor data via I2C and generate interrupt on a GPIO Pin.

Been reading thru the F103 datasheet to try and figure out why my TinyUSB based code isn't working. The datasheet says.. "For mono-directional/single-buffer endpoints, a single register can be used to implement two distinct endpoints". The F103 has 8 physical endpoint registers. There are no flags in those registers to set mono or bidirectional mode. Each register only holds one EP address value. My application requires creating EP0 (IN+OUT) + 4 * (Bulk IN+Bulk OUT+Interrupt In)=2+4*(1+1+1)= 14 EP addresses in total. The datasheet continues on to say "The number of registers is 8, allowing up to 16 mono-directional/single-buffer or up to 7 double-buffer endpoints(a) in any combination. For example the USB peripheral can be programmed to have 4 double buffer endpoints and 8 single-buffer/mono-directional endpoints." So how can you get 14 EP addresses into 8 endpoint registers?

Greetings,I am bring up a new HW design with the IIS2DLPC accelerometer integrated into the design.I am trying to bring up a Linux IIO device driver for this device, and the kernel does not currently have direct support for the IIS2DLPC, however it does support the LIS2DW12, which from looking at thedatasheet for both, they appear to be SW compatible. Can I just code the device tree node to specify the LIS2DW12?accelerometer@18 {compatible = "st,lis2dw12";reg = <0x18>;status = "okay";st,drdy-int-pin = <1>;interrupt-parent = <&sysfpga>;interrupts = <SYSFPGA_INT_ACCELEROMETER>;interrupt-names = "ACCELEROMETER-INT1";};Thanks,Ken

Hello,I would like clarification on the behaviour of STM32U3 devices when Readout Protection (RDP) Level 1 is enabled.Configuration:TrustZone: DisabledDebug interface: SWD/JTAGQuestions:With RDP Level 1, is Flash completely unreadable by any third-party tool or by any boot mode (system memory boot, RAM boot, etc.), except when accessed by application code running on the MCU?With RDP Level 1, is application debugging still supported (attach debugger, halt, step, breakpoints), and are there any known limitations compared to RDP Level 0?Any confirmation or documentation reference would be appreciated.Thank you,Vijay

Hello,    I'm working into writing firmware image to a STM32H7A3AII6Q via internal boot-loader. I'm using AN2606 and AN3155 as reference documents.     The boot-loader entry sequence I'm using:State 1: BOOT0: high              RST: lowState 2: Wait 200 msState 3: BOOT0: high              RST: highThen I'm sending 0x7F over USART2 but, getting no response(0x79).Can you please help me what might be wrong here?

Hello, recently I was able to flash a programm on the STM32G474CET3 but I am unable to track Live Variables.I wrote a simple program that just increases a cnt variable each second. My .ioc configuration: Every help is appreciated.

Hi ST Team,We are using CAN on STM32L562 in classic mode. After configuring, we se FDCAN.PSR.ACT to be 1 as can be seen in screenshot below. This means, node is neither receiver nor transmitter. Why is this happening ? We are able to receive the data, but the CAN controller does not send the ACK when a frame is received which results in retransmission of the frame from the transmitting node.Tried configuration:hfdcan1.Init.AutoRetransmission = ENABLE;hfdcan1.Init.StdFiltersNbr = 1;Yet ACT bits in FDCAN1->PSR becomes '0x1' when the instruction "CLEAR_BIT(hfdcan->Instance->CCCR, FDCAN_CCCR_INIT);" is executed (i.e. while leaving the initialization). It can be seen in the screenshot below. Please find the below attached screenshots.

Hello guys, for my bachelors project I have decided to build an embedded signal monitoring and classification tool, based on the STM32H7S3L8 Nucleo dev board (NUCLEO H7S3L8). I want to use all  14 available channels of the 2 adcs (technically each ADC has 14, but then pin assignments are shared, which is not beneficial) and i want to let the ADCs stream the data via HPDMA in the SDRAM. Unfortioutly I came across many problems with the configuration and programming, especially with clock configuration of the ADC+DMA in the scanning mode. Do some of you already have a working solution to the DMA placement in SDRAM (0x300000 32kB I believe) and with working ADCs you would like to share. Also, do you enable callbacks in that case?Usually I would share my config and code and ask for help to the specific problem, but as I am not at home and already lost my mind with this ******* DMA I might try it that way. Thanks so much and happy holidays !

My partner and I are creating an app designed for P2P as well as traditional user/vendor interaction. We need a wearable that can create a mutual event on the back end when the two wearables touch or are in close proximity. I see the ST25R3916 or STM32 chips may be suitable but wondering if there’s already a wearable with these capabilities or if one can be designed/created that’s suitable for kids. I also see there’s a wearable - STEVAL-WESU1. Can the STM32 be used in the WESU1? I have additional requirements, like haptics, visual indicators, etc, that I can provide info on but I can’t find a wearable that can create a P2P event. Any help is appreciated

this topic is rare，and i cant find a system learning information，can st develeper friends tell us how to use this peripherals, link to ADC DMA......

I have a question regarding how the averaging filter works in the LPS28DFW pressure sensor (AVG[2:0] in CTRL_REG1).I am wondering whether:A) AVG controls internal ADC oversampling for each individual pressure measurement (i.e., multiple internal samples averaged to create one output sample),orB) AVG performs a moving average across multiple output samples after they are generated. In other words, does the AVG setting reduce noise by oversampling within one output period, or does it smooth several consecutive output samples?

Hi i have a custom lsm6dsv  module  that is getting  a strange result  after 6a 9c then cycles through  int of the imu 9c seem to make it restart its process  and loop it for a for until 6a is back and 9c comes back and does the exact  same process   and unsure  what i should look at next [ i am new to logic  analyzing oscilloscope   scopes signals  seem fine  i feel like im missing  something  badly  Parts 100nf caps 5.1k resistor  tired  10k but I thought  lower  them could solve it? Hi everyone,I am using LSM6DSL IMU sensor for my project.  The LSM6DSL embeds a digital Slope filter. Is there any method to configure the "Slope filter" ?

Hello everybody.I bought Riverdi STM32 Embedded Display RVT121HVSNWC00-BI create my first project using touch GFX.I generate code and import it in STM32CubeIDE.I format FAT32 a 128G uSD using custom program.I plug the uSD into adapter and I write this code.fresult is FS_NOT_READY and I don't understand the reason.  Here my configuration.  I notice in the main that there is FATFS initializationbut I don't find a call to MX_SDMMC1_SD_Init.If I force this call after FATFS initlization the code run in ErrorHandler, but if I inpect hsd1.SdCard struct I see that card property are read correctly (I believe).BlockSize x BlockNbr = 128G !! OK Can someone help me ?Thanks in advice

Why can’t my cubemx configure L1 cache? How to enable it?Also, the MPU cannot be configured. You can only use the default configuration and modify it in the generate code.I also configured Memory management, but did not see the enable Cache and MPU synchronization settingsCubeMx 6.16.1 on macos MAC 26.1MCU:STM32H743IIT6

Updated post to reflect permanent fix Dear STM32CubeIDE user, Further to the recent STM32CubeIDE project creation issue, we would like to inform you that a solution is now available for you. This permanent fix applies to all STM32CubeIDE versions. Issue description When creating a new STM32 project in STM32CubeIDE, the “STM32Cube” radio button may have become unresponsive, blocking the “Next” button after the product selection screen. This prevented the project creation from being completed. Permanent fix You can apply this resolution to any STM32CubeIDE version, even if you applied the temporary workaround that we recently shared with you. Open STM32CubeIDE. Refresh the database.Go to Help > STM32Cube updater > Select “Check the Target selector Device Database Updates” Restart STM32CubeIDE If you deactivated the auto refresh function previously, you may wish to reactivate it for all your STM32Cube tools. Here is how to proceed: STM32CubeIDE:Go to Window > Preferences

Hi there,I have a motor support both encoder signals(ABZ) and hall signals(ABC) output. But I checked the DEV Kit and the examples of MCSDK6. Most examples use only one of the position feedback sensors. And for the MCSDK6 project, I can only configure the encoder and hall signal as a timer input. However, I DIY board can only support TIMER for the encoder and GPIO for the hall.I am asking for help on how to configure the project so that I can use both the encoder and the hall sensor in the motor with my DIY board.(I found a document named "Generation and use of Hall correspondence Table.pdf" by ST in Chinese. But I can't understand some details in this file. Is there anything more that can help me to understand this?)Thank you for your help!

I need to learn more (detail) about STMCubeMX  "extended mode" and small-pincount multi-bonded MCUs (this posting label specifies STM32C0 series which is what I'm currently working with.)STM32CubeMX UM1718 section 4.5.8 describes extended mode (I encountered when exploring this option while using STM32CubeMX with a new project), but other than cautions (that an option byte is required and that improper use can affect power consumption etc) I could find no further ("how it works") detail there.HAL_SYSCONFIG_SetBinBinding doesn't provide a suitable solution (concurrent access to a single physical pin by more than one possible peripheral.)Any recommendations on where (=application note?) I can proceed to learn about multi-bonding implementation and limitations for these small-packaged MCU products? Thanks!

Hello, I have a VL53 sensor that's outputing distance data but the distance measurements I'm getting are getting "stratified" into about 3 different distances seemingly randomly. I'm using the ULD driver on a custom PCBA with a TM4C1239 microcontroller and sampling the sensor at 10 Hz. This first video is with no obstacle in front of the sensor. You can see the data is not consistent This second video is with my hand about 10 cm away from the sensor, then approaching and retreating the sensor. You can see the data jumping between a few discrete distances even as I approach and retreat from the sensor Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this may be happening?

Hi. I'm working with the STM8TL52F4 MCU and its touch/proximity sensing peripheral. I made a simple touchkey use Halt or Activate-Halt for my project. Does anyone know of any sample code exploiting the ProxSense feature of STM8TL5x MCUs? Thank you.
