Hello, I am working with the STM32WL55 core and I started the FreeRTOS test and a problem occurred to me that I would like to share with you.The only thing I have done is define pin 15 of port B as output and I have created a FreeRTOS task, and within the task I have performed the LED switching:In addition to that, as is already known, FreeRTOS works with Sistyck and the HALs should use another clock source to avoid generating conflicts, in this case I have used timer 1.After configuring that way, I run the program and the LED stays on on the board, it does not switch as done in the programming.Something different happens when I let the FreeRTOS and the HAL use the Systick as a clock source, the LED does blink. What do you think is happening?

Hi, I am configuring the ADC in single-channel continuous conversion mode using DMA. However, once I call HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc, &AD_RES, 1), the main loop stops executing, and the HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback() function is not triggered.I noticed that setting hadc.Init.DMAContinuousRequests = ENABLE causes the main loop to become blocked. How can I configure DMA to continuously retrieve ADC values without blocking the main loop and the HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback() will be called continuously? I'm following this ADC tutorial: https://deepbluembedded.com/stm32-adc-continuous-conversion-mode-dma-poll-interrupt-single-channel/   /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2024 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. *

HiI had the stm32f746G-disco development board laying around, after while I wanted to try some application, during flash I got warning that my st-link firmware was old, I wanted to upgrade it but failed during upgrade, anyway it was very old firmware. Well I had another st-link at hand, I have connected it to the SWD port on the dev-kit, *** me I thought it is connected to stm32f7 but after pressing erase flash I saw the connected MCU is stmf103, well I accidentally erased the st-link, long story short it was a *** mistake.I have been searching online there are lots of suggestion, I am very confused, is there a way to recover the on board stlink. Because there is no jumper or pin that exposes SWD/JTAG pins of stm32f7, I need to recover it.I have tried "java -jar STLinkUpgrade.jar -d8_d32_msc_br -force_prog" with stm32f407 nucleo board but no chance.Any help appreciated thanks.

I got my STM32H745I-DISCO (STM32H745XIH6U) kit and wanted to update st-link (STLINK-V3E) firmware. Unfortunately I used unreliable USB cable and it got probably disconnected during the process. Now the STLinkUpgrade shows the line "Unknown firmware type. Don't know how to upgrade."Is there any chance to restore original firmware? Or do I have to use external ST-Link/buy new board?Thank you in advance.

Hello Cant find any data of this product form st 095RONT EL4U1TF ACan please somebody help me ?

Hello everyone,This is my first post on the ST Community forum.I recently moved from a custom 6-layer board using STM32H725IGKB to a simpler 4-layer board using STM32H723ZGT6. Both designs use an external OCTOSPI memory, with 50 ohm controlled-impedance routing and 33 ohm series resistors on the signals. On the new 4-layer board, I am seeing read/write errors on the OCTOSPI interface, while the original 6-layer board works reliably with similar routing and firmware.I would like to ask whether the OCTOSPI output driver characteristics or output impedance differ between STM32H725 and STM32H723, or if these issues are more likely related to signal integrity, stack-up, or return-path differences on a 4-layer PCB.Any guidance or experience would be appreciated.Thank you in advance.

I have CubeMX 2.0.0 and I notice that if I want to enable DSIHOST, I need to first enable HSE.But the clock configuration of the DSI does not require HSE. It seems that the clock configuration of DSI seems to work with HSI in CubeMX 2.0.0.So, the question is: I need to enable HSE, but do I need to clock configure it for DSI as well? Or could I use HSI in the clock configuration, even if HSE is enabled? Processor: STM32MP257FAK3

Hi!I'm looking for an appropriate DRAM for the MP257.I know there is a table about validated DRAM for MPUs.https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Validated_DRAM_on_STM32_MPU_portfolioMy question is if there is a DRAM standard i csn follow if I want to try another vendor of DRAM?I'm looking for other types of DRAM that shares the same footprint and connection. But I'm unsure if it's good enough to select a DRAM on those specifications.I've heard that there is a standard called JEDEC. If another vendor follows that standard, does that mean that this DRAM is compatible with the MP257?For example: The MP257-DK is validated with MT53E1G32D2FW-046 WT:C, but that DRAM is out of stock. Could I use MT53E1G32D2FW-046 WT:B instead? It's the design B version instead of design C version.

I am currently using the STM32N657 on the NUCLEO-N657X0-Q board to drive an 800x480 pixel display with 24-bit color. The display that I am using is the NHD-7.0-800480EF-ASXV#-T. I’m using the built in LTDC controller on the chip. I do know that the controller is working because the entire screen is black, the screen would be showing the backlight if it wasn’t. The problem is that I am unable to display anything at all when writing to the screen buffer. Here are the configuration parameters that I am using based on the data sheet:Here are the layer settings that I am using:Here is the clock configuration for the LTDC: Here is the code that I am running:main.cint main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ /* USER CODE END 1 */ /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ HAL_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ /* USER CODE END Init */ /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */ /* USER CODE END SysI

Can anyone tell me or direct me to a source that shows the minimum connections needed to power up and serially program a STM32F765ZGT6? (144 pin package.) I will be attaching the chip to a breakout board and will be using a St-Link Minie3.  Any help much appreciated.

I'm curious how hard of a task would it be to get UCPD working with the STM32N6 with zephyr. I see it's supported with the G0* https://docs.zephyrproject.org/latest/boards/st/stm32g071b_disco/doc/index.html From my understanding the UCPD hardware block is the same between the two chips?

Hi! I'm working on a Power Delivery Sink using an STM32G484RETx MCU. I managed to get SPR Power Delivery working without any issues, but I'm having trouble handling the EPR handshake.I'm using the latest USB-PD library from ST's GitHub:https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32-mw-usbpd-coreI can successfully enter EPR Mode, but the PD stack automatically calls Evaluate Capabilities and sends an SPR Request (Data Object[2] == 0). I can’t find any option to prevent the stack from running Evaluate Capabilities when Extended PDOs are received from the source.I’ve read @FBL's post on the ST Community, which states that the latest stack should support EPR:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-embedded-software/update-about-usb-pd-stack-to-support-epr-mode/td-p/829168Do you have any solutions or examples that show how to properly handle EPR using the ST USB-PD stack? In the second screenshot, you can see that the stack incorrectly sends an EPR Request (Data Object[2] = 00000000h)

I have swapped from a custom PCB-board with a 6-layer stack using a STM32H725IGKB, to another custom board with a 4-layer stack using STM32H723ZGT6 (simpler package).I am using an external OCTO SPI on both boards, but I have R/W errors with the 4-layer board. Both boards are routed with 50 ohms impedance and uses 33 ohms series resistors for the OCTO SPI.I am wondering if the output impedance is the same for these two H7-devices?

Hi Team, Currently, I am working on the STM32N657-DK EVB with an SPI interface (ADS118 sensor). I have enabled SPI5 in the .ioc file. The configured pins are: PE11 – SCK PH8 – MISO PG2 – MOSI PA3 – CS According to the schematic, these pins are connected to the CN12 connector. My question is whether these pins can communicate correctly using the SPI5 interface or not. Secondly, I want to generate PWM signals. Could you please let me know which pins are suitable for PWM generation on this board? I tried using the CN11 and CN12 connectors to drive PWM signals on pins such as PE9, PE10, and PE11, but PWM is not being generated. Kindly let me know your inputs.

I am developing a custom board using STM32H523RET6.It has a USB type C port, and I am trying to send some data from PC to the board through it, and decided to use USB CDC ACM with standalone mode. The code is based on this and this.ux_device_class_cdc_acm_write_run worked perfectly, but ux_device_class_cdc_acm_read_run doesn't work.No matter what kind of texts I send, ux_device_class_cdc_acm_read_run returns "T" (84). The code I am using is this;uint8_t UserRxBuffer[APP_RX_DATA_SIZE]; VOID USBX_DEVICE_CDC_ACM_Read_Task(VOID) { ULONG actual_length = 0; UX_SLAVE_DEVICE *device; device = &_ux_system_slave->ux_system_slave_device; /* Check if device is configured */ if ((device->ux_slave_device_state == UX_DEVICE_CONFIGURED) && (cdc_acm != UX_NULL)) { #ifndef UX_DEVICE_CLASS_CDC_ACM_TRANSMISSION_DISABLE /* Set transmission_status to UX_FALSE for the first time */ cdc_acm -> ux_slave_class_cdc_acm_transmission_status = UX_FALSE

Hi, I'm using stm32h7, currently working with SPI + DMA in HAL library, because of HAL overhead I want to move to LL library, where can I get the SPI+DMA using LL library examples, regards, Srinath

Hello everyone,I am interfacing ADXL345 in stm32f103c8t6 by using I2C connection. I have fixed the set up on a board. I would like to know if I can identify the movement of adxl by observing the changes in x, y, and z values if there is no vibration but the board is moving smoothly, that is, to the right or left. If not, how can I predict when the adxl will go forward or backward without relying on the sensor's tilt or vibration? I just want to create a basic activity detector where the logic would be :1. If the setup does not move, the output should be zero.2. If the setup is vibrating and moving, the output should be one.3. If it is simply vibrating (and not moving in space), the output should be 0.So, basically, I want to detect actual movement and not just vibration noise.I noticed that when the movement is smooth or constant ADXL345 values do not change much, so my logic is not detecting that as “motion.”STM32f103c8t6<-> ADXL345PB6<->SCL     PB

Hi thereI'm a little embarrassed to post this, but..  Coming from Microchip world I would just change TRISx, so simple. As I've learned so far the MX are in charge for setting up a port. But in my application I need to set a 8 bit wide port for parallel interface to a device. Also it needs to change output <> input. My first thoughts were not to tell the MX about the device on port PC0 to PC7.Then do the setup "manually" in the code. But then again I think this so common, there must be a MX way of doing this. Thank you.

Hi. I'm having trouble using the old USB Host Middleware to read a USB stick with a STM32U545.I've tried to follow this article, doing my best to adapt it for the host middleware and also using the "FatFs_USBDisk" example project for the F767 Nucleo board and a usbh_conf.c/.h written by a coworker for another U545 project which supposedly worked at least once.My code fails in Enumeration when the MCU tries to get the device descriptor - The MCU sends a SETUP packet and a DATA0 packet with 0 bytes (instead of the expected 8) and the stick sends an ACK. The MCU then sends an IN packet and the stick sends a NACK. The IN & NACK are then repeated for many frames until the stick sends a STALL instead. Can anyone help me identify where the bug is and how to fix it?Thanks.

Hi allI am looking for a solution to prevent the NULCEO-H563ZI board from resetting every time the USB-C cable to the PC is plugged in and out. The virtual COM port of the ST-LINK is used to send configuration data to the board. Therefore, it is not so handy if it resets itself every time I unplug the PC. It is supposed to continue to run.The NUCLEO is supplied by 3.3V from a host board, so no PWR-SEL jumper is set and SB1 is removed. The on-board crystal oscillator is used (SB48 and SB50 equipped with 0R's and SB49 of ST-LINK clock is removed). Thanks for your inputs :)

Hi, I am creating application using LPBAM configuration. The application simply is:Enter stop mode 2- Use ADC4-12bit channel 22 (PC4) to measure voltage using clock HSI or MISK- ADC wdog to generate interupt when the value reach threshold to exit stop mode 2- LPTIM1 will trigger ADC4 500ms cycle using clock LSE- LPDMA1 channel1 to store converted data, and save to array adc4_buffer[1]- LPDMA1 channel 0 ensure queue run LPBAMWhat I have done:ADC4 configuration (ADC4 global interrupt enable in NVIC)LPTIM1 configurationLPDMA configuration (LPDMA channel 0 interrupt enable)Scenario queueThen I generate code and face this warningI already createt project without Trust Zone, also check LPBAM check log but cannot verify it. So I need help. Thank you

Hi Everyone, I've followed STguide on Ethernet on H755 using RTOShttps://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-create-a-project-for-stm32h7-with-ethernet-and-lwip-stack/ta-p/49308/page/2/show-comments/trueand a github on ETH on bare metal (my case)https://github.com/AngryCarrot61/NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q_003_ETH?tab=readme-ov-file i got the board to work and ping, I've implemented MPU and connected it to a laptopDHCP is disabled, my laptop ip is 10.0.0.100, subnet 255.255.255.0, gateway 10.0.0.1the mcu ip is 10.0.0.60The ping works only if i flash the M4 core with an empty application which gets halted by the HSEM (it never works unless i flash the M4 first after power up) and the connection never lasts more than a minute. Looking for some help, i've included the whole zip file of the project if someboy could replicate it on their machine, i'm using a H755ZI nucleo boardThe problem seems to be releated to Rx heap size, but I'm lost

What is meant by watermark concept in chromArt Controller, Whats the application of it can you explain in detail and clearly

I am facing very weird issue in STM32 ADC.1. I used single channel in polling mode and interrupt mode the value i got was 4095, even the pin voltage was 1.7V, i used DSO to look for any serious noise on the pin but it was clean. Also if i gave 0V to this pin (pin 29 Ch10) it displayed adc value round 30.2. Then i tried DMA for single channel CH0 it behaved same.3. Then i tried DMA for 3 channel Ch9,Ch10,Ch11... behavior was same but this time if i touched any of the ADC Channel from ch9 & ch11 the value of Ch 10 became 2200, which was quite correct.4. Then i tried DMA for only Ch10 then adc value became 4095 for 1.7V and touching any pin doesnt do anything.Just if i give 0V instead of 1.7V adc value come near to 30-40.5. Circuit checked multiple times its a custom PCB, connections are solid.. track distances are well above the standard.6. I am using STM32CUBEIDE to generate the code. Unable to figure out what wrong i am doing. for information:- I have used ADC of STM32 mul
