Is it possible to set level 2 RDP to just a subset of a certain Flash bank? not the entire bank. (Begin Address -> End Address for example)Is it possible to set RDP levels for an external flash not the internal MCU flash?

Hello everybody!I use an X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1 (based on ST25R3911B) as a PCD.My test application uses the RFAL V2.0.10 library. After successfully selecting a MIFARE Classic 1K PICC, my test application call the rfalIsoDepPollAHandleActivation function that stuck in an infinite loop. (I know that this PICC is not ISO-DEP, so in this scenario it simply replies with a NAK response.) Interestingly if I change rfalSetErrorHandling's parameter from RFAL_ERRORHANDLING_EMVCO to RFAL_ERRORHANDLING_NFC in the beginning part ofrfalIsoDepPollAHandleActivation then the rfalIsoDepPollAHandleActivation function returns ERR_INCOMPLETE_BYTE (I think it is the correct, expected behavior). The following things happen when I call the rfalIsoDepPollAHandleActivation function:rfalIsoDepPollAHandleActivation calls rfalIsoDepRATS functionrfalIsoDepRATS sends a RATS command by calling the rfalTransceiveBlockingTxRx functionrfalTransceiveBlockingTxRx sends the RATS command successfully and then calls the rfalTransce

Hi,all my co-workers work with CubeIDE 1.3.1 (with embedded MX 6.5.1). Because we share our projects I want to install the same version of IDE and MX.I already install CubeIDE 1.3.0 (which i found on ST site) and try to update it to 1.3.1.But only version I could update to is 1.4.1.I have choose Window -> Preferences -> Install/Update -> 'Show all versions of available software' and after that when I choose Help -> Check for updates, 3 new updates are available (1.3.1, 1.4.0 and 1.4.1). But no matter which one I choose the newest version (1.4.1) is installed. What can I do to install proper version of IDE. The stand-alone installer is only for version 1.3.0 (which I already installed)?

FolksThis is a bit of a "how do these things work" question. I'm designing a board to replace an existing board in a larger solution. I'm working with the vendor and can get the details from them but I just wanted to take a chance to get to understand clocks a bit better (I'm a newbie). The existing board (i.e. the one I'm replacing) has a STM32F030C8T6 (TSSOP20). If I'm reading the spec sheets right this chip can take an external / bypass HSE clock source of 4 - 32GHz. There are no pins for the LSE on the package in question. However, the board is being fed with a 200KHz clock signal which rather confuses me? Can this be done? There's no crystal on the board so it's either using that clock source or the internal clock. The highest frequency requirement it has is 115,200 async UART so the internal clock is probably fine but if that is the case I'm wondering why they've added the external clock source?I'll not be using that package so I'll have other options. I see I can feed a 200KHz sig

I am trying to use STM32CubeIDE 1.4.0. Previously I was using 1.3.0. I was calling the CubeMX, since I wanted to make a change to the configuration. When CubeMX generated the update code, it deleted the entire project. No traces of the project are left, except for the root directory and and an empty directory "Drivers/CMSIS". Why is this happening? Forunately, I made a backup just before I did this, otherwise my entire project would have been gone.

Hello,I would like to select STM32F0 examples projects from the New Project -> Example Selector.I have CubeIDE, and in the MCU/MPU selector I can select my NUCLEO-F072RB. In the Example Selector I can see examples for STM32 F4, F7, G0, G4, H7, L5 and WB only. I have no examples for the F0 MCUs.In the STM32Cube Repository Folder I have both the STM32Cube_FW-F4 and the STM32Cube_FW_F0 folders with all the examples.I've checked for updates, I have the latest F0 firmware package. My Firmware Installation Repository is set to \STM32Cube\Repository... ...can anyone help me understand what I'm missing to get the examples in the example selector?? I feel like this is going to be a facepalm....Thanks!

Using TouchGfx 4.14.0, select "Understanding Application Structure" example and run on target (stm32f469i-disco).It will stack overflow on the 3rd transition:The cure is to increase stack size from 2048 to 3072 (\TouchGFXProjects\MyApplication_1\Core\Src\main.c, line 69).Please fix!

Hi, I am developing a wearable device which obtain data from set of sensors, perform digital signal processing and upload to server or share data via BLE. Please suggest me a MCU series which has following feature,Wireless support DSP support Dual core - if possible Low power I found that ESP32 meet my requirements, but I would like to see options available with STM32 as they have good support etc.Thank you, Dilshan N.

Hi,I'm trying STM32L05x embedded bootloader - Read Memory command via UART.I can read flash memory (e.g. address start by 0x0800_0000), but when I try to read SRAM ( start by 0x2000_0000) , it always return NACK.Is it not possible to read SRAM via bootloader?

HI All, I am currently using STM32 nucleo-L4A6ZG development board.I want use MPU of STM32L4A6ZGT6U.But i am very new with STM32 nucleo-L4A6ZG development board. So is there any example code of MPU with STM32L4A6ZGT6U ?So i can start with that .ThanksRahul

Hi,I am using the LSM6DS3 with I2C at 400 kHZ. I would like to know the pin capacitance value so as to calculate the value of the required pull up resistors. I was unable to find this in the data sheet. Thanks

For now, all the information I got about this library is it only supports to F4. So, will it work with F7 ? Thanks.

Hello. How can i use active miller clamp function of STGAP1AS mosfet driver for paralleled mosfets?

Hi,I'm trying to debug STEVAL$STSPIN3202 motor control board. I have generated code by using motor control workbench. I compile the code without anyproblem, but i recieve attached error message.I'll be glad to get your support.thanksMustafa

I'm looking at the IHM03A1 stepper driver board, which claims to handle 10A per phase. However, it's documentation says it only has .1 Ohm 2 W current sense resistors. Wouldn't that only be able to handle ~4.5 Amps of current?https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/ecosystems/stm32-open-development-environment/stm32-nucleo-expansion-boards/stm32-ode-move-actuate-hw/x-nucleo-ihm03a1.htmlhttps://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/dm00206777-getting-started-with-the-high-power-stepper-motor-driver-expansion-board-based-on-powerstep01-for-stm32-nucleo-stmicroelectronics.pdf

Hi,we are having difficulties in order to find solution for STM32H7 Nucleo Board (NUCLEO-H743ZI2). When we are trying only toggle a pin ( interrupts are closed --> 480MHz)freq is not passing 20MHz. When i check ref documents GPIO section, it says “Fast toggle capable of changing every two clock cycles? . (Page 527) But we can't achieve to these speed. Can you please let me know if there is something i need to do? here are some links i have found from the community.https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009XkWd2SAF/why-i-get-stm32h7-gpio-toggle-speed-just-only-at-167mhz#:~:text=Why%20I%20get%20STM32H7%20GPIO%20Toggle%20speed%20just%20only%20at%2016.7MHz%3Fhttps://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009XkWN7/stm32h7-gpio-togle-max-frequencyhttps://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009cdgGjSAI/stm32h7xx-fast-gpio-toggleBy the way, when we face this problem we thought that we should use SPI port. But in this case we get following SPI CLK signal erosion(attached pictures). Can you p

Updating to CubeIDE 1.14.1 I have seen that I can choose some new STM32H7xx MCU's ( especialy the STM32H725, STM32H735 and STM32H730 ). They are very interresting for me ( 3. CAN interface and 2x OCTOSPI with hyperflash support ). Is there any roadmap when this devices will be avaiable?Martin

I am getting so much noise on analog pin without connecting any analog signal. I also tried by changing analog pin but still i am getting so much of noise in analog pin. I am calculating analog value for 50 Hz signal. Is there any way to calibrate STM32F413 micro controllers ?Is there any mathematical calculation available for calibration of 50 Hz signal or to reduce noise from signal ?Please help regarding above topic. Thanks in advance.

When it comes to the imageProgress widget, can someone tell me if the entire rectangle is re-rendered (invalidated) when the function setValue() is called? Or only the parts that are changing rendered? It appears to me that it is. Animation performance would be better if only the parts changing are rendered.Note that I do have "Anchor progress image at zero" selected.I did search through the TouchGFX documentation, but did not find an answer to this question.

Hi!I have NUCLEO H743-ZI board, and I am trying to create PWM sequence with advanced timer 1, by utilizing DMA feature.Code is mostly generated by cubeMX.I am using PWM mode 2, Center-aligned mode 1.Code works, untill DMA loads into compare register (TIMx_CCR1 register) value 0, than it hangs. After some digging through HAL code, and manual, I presume this happens because timer stops generating interrupts, which force DMA to load new values into compare register (TIMx_CCR1).My theory is that interrupts are generated when counter gets bigger than compare value, which never happens (lowest counter value is zero, and zero is not higher than zero, thus no interrupt). Now how to resolve this issue…..TIMx DMA/interrupt enable register (TIMx_DIER) has flag „Bit 8 UDE: Update DMA request enable“, but enebling it did not help. Simultaneously I set flag „Bit 0 UIE: Update interrupt enable“, but to no avail, I am still stuck…..Did anyone came across this problem, and how was it resolved? At this mom

Hello,I'm currently working on an PCB for an lecture about uC programming. It should be an education board for students to engage and learn hardware programming using an STM32 and the given ICs and interfaces on the board.Because this pcbs will be often reprogrammed but will have some fixed parts I thought on using an on-board debugger to make it more comfortable to use and minimize possible sources of misuse. It would be handy for the students to flash the STM32 through an usb cable.I've searched around and found out about an open source project BMP (not sure if it is exactly what im looking for) and and the on-board solution from segger (J-Link OB).However I wanted to know if there are any other possible solutions for programming/debugging STM32s on custom pcbs I've missed. Is there an appropriate way to realize this or would you tend to use an small external debugger (STLINK-V3MINI, J-Link EDU mini)? Thanks for any suggestions and sorry if I might have missed any already existing thr
