I am using SPC5 Studio ver 6.0 for a dev kit with freegcc with vle support for a SPC58NG-DISP dev kit and I want to add .srec file generation. I didn't see anything in the properties/c/c++ build/settings that was an easy selection and hope you can point me to what I need to do. Have an .srec parser and was hoping to reuse to not have to create an .elf parser or .hex parser.

Hello,I am using an STM32F103RB MCU in a specific Hardware design. The Hardware was always working fine (it is a final product of medical customer) until I flashed a software which implements the stop mode (deep sleep mode) management (by setting the SLEEPDEEP bit in the System control register (SCB_SCR) and configuring the PWR_CR register). Here is the code:void PWR_EnterStopMode (uint8_t stopEntry) { // Disable Systick Interrupt kSysTick->CTRL &= ~SYSTICK_CTRL_TICKINT_MSK;   // clear Power down deepsleep kPWR->CR &= ~PWR_CR_PDDS_MSK; // Select stop mode kPWR->CR |= PWR_CR_LPDS_MSK; // Clear wake up flag kPWR->CR |= PWR_CR_CWUF_MSK;   // Set sleep deep in ARM Cortex System control register kSCB->SCR |= SCB_SCR_SLEEPDEEP_MSK;   if(stopEntry == PWR_LOWPOWER_ENTRY_WFI) { // Request wait for wakeup interrupt __WFI(); } else { // Request wait for wakeup event __WFE(); } /* Reset SLEEPDEEP bit of Cortex System Co

Hello, I'm trying to develop an AVAS application, I have the AEK-MCU-C1MLIT1, the AEK-AUD-D903V1 and the AEK-CON-C1D9031 connection board. I've tested the Engine Sound Simulation and diagnostics with connection board and it woks, I get the sound out of the amplifier. However, when I try to change the audio files for ones of my own, I can't get any sound out of it. I proceed exactly as told in the instructions: I put the WAV files into the source folder (after checking they aren't bigger than 768kB), modify the sounddb.s file so it can access my WAV files, compile it, copy the .hex file from the build folder to the source folder and rename it, search for the 020000040100 string that identifies the beginning of the sound partition, delete everything behind that string, modify again the sounddb.s file so it doesn't compile the audio again, and then compile. It flashes without error into the MCU, but then it just doesn't sound. Could anyone help with that? Thanks in advance

Hi,I"m starting new project with brushless motor and I would like to connect two encoders (Rotary and Linear) with 3 hall affects and current measurement.I would like to check which ST controller "strong "enough for the applicationfollowing the parameters of the motorPWM to the phases shall be ~100kHZMotor speed up to 10000RPMRotary incremental encoder of 4096 pulseIncremental Linear encoder resolution ~5umAccording to above parameters I need 2 inputs for Rotary encoder at ~700kHz, 2 addition inputs for linear encoder and 3 PWM outputs of 100kHz.I need to close PID for speed and position loopback with very high resolution, and run SPI communication to the main controller at 10Mb/s.I have strict restrictions of the pcb size and I have to choose smallest controller.I have two questions: Can I use STSPIN32F0A controller with embedded Cortex-M0 MCU or it better to use STM32F4 controllers line? Does anyone run this component at dual encoder mode? How can I know which controller can support 4

There are many options for choosing the timing constant for RMS when using FFT. How to choose the right one? Why is the purpose of the timing constant for RMS? Please advise. Thanks!

The RF password can only be set over RF, I2C has no ability to access these registers (RF_PWD_0/1/2/3). If an RF user sets a password, and then forgets it, is there any built in mechanism to reset the password back to its factory default, or some other way to recover the password?

Hi, Can the time domain output of FFT calculation from MotionSP be speed (mm/s RMS), not acceleration on Y-axis? Please advise. Thanks!

I'm having some trouble getting an accurate PWM signal from my H743ZI Nucleo board (MB1364C). It is off by about 1%. I am not using an external crystal, I am using the MCO signal from the F723 chip on the same board. Am I just misconfiguring something? Or is the MCO signal not accurate? I need to generate a 1 ms pulse every 128 ms.I appreciate any help or suggestions!#include "main.h"   #define time_sync_Pin GPIO_PIN_0 #define time_sync_GPIO_Port GPIOB   TIM_HandleTypeDef htim3; void Error_Handler(void); void sysclk_config(void) { RCC_OscInitTypeDef RCC_OscInitStruct = {0}; RCC_ClkInitTypeDef RCC_ClkInitStruct = {0}; RCC_PeriphCLKInitTypeDef PeriphClkInitStruct = {0};   /** Supply configuration update enable */ HAL_PWREx_ConfigSupply(PWR_LDO_SUPPLY); /** Configure the main internal regulator output voltage */ __HAL_PWR_VOLTAGESCALING_CONFIG(PWR_REGULATOR_VOLTAGE_SCALE1);   while(!__HAL_PWR_GET_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_VOSRDY)) {} /** Initializes the RCC Oscillators

HiI am trying to implement a fault filter for the HRTIM on a stm32G474.I am using the LL libraries and the Reference manual.I find the table 234 in the reference manual completely unreadable and confusing. Could someone please explain how it is suppose to be interpreted.Lets take an example.my Fhrtim is 170 mhz and I have done the followingLL_HRTIM_FLT_SetPrescaler(HRTIM1, LL_HRTIM_FLT_PRESCALER_DIV2);   LL_HRTIM_FLT_SetFilter(HRTIM1, LL_HRTIM_FAULT_1, LL_HRTIM_FLT_FILTER_4); How do i calcualte the filter length?Best regards Martin

According to the overview it is possible to get up to 16 kB of flash memory. However I can't find a reference to this.

Hi everyone!I'm using a nucleo H755 boardI'm basically trying to debug my code from RAM. I already set the linker to use the autogenerated ld file (STM32H755ZITX_RAM.ld). When I try to debug, the application initializes, however It does not go beyond HAL_Init().Has anyone else had this problem before?

Hi, we started using MP34DT05TR-A on our board, and as part of the manufacturing of the board we used to clean the board from flux residues after the assembly process, to prevent corrosion and leakage.I know that the MEMS microphones may be problematic to cleaning due to its porthole, but I could not find any special restrictions or prohibition in the datasheet regarding cleaning this component.I would like to know if such restrictions are exist? Is it safe to cover the porthole with tape and remove it after the cleaning?Maybe this component can be ordered with pre-mounted tape?Or better I manually assemble this component only after cleaning the board, although this is not the preferred method because there will be again flux residuals.

Hello all,This is not a common question. It is just to report a "bug" I encountered, to get feedback from the forum about my solution and a warning to others that may face this same problem =)I suffered some strange "behaviors" when executing a simple test with TouchGFX Designer v4.16 generated project for the board 32L4R9IDISCOVERY[1]. The display simply stop working after a while. What I have done:I created a project on TouchGFX version 4.16 for this board. Then I designed a screen with just an animated image. On the main file, I created other 4 tasks that only have a delay and asm("nop") (code on below).Behavior:After running for a while, the display simply hangs out. But the firmware is running normally (the tasks are still running). My analysis:We found that in the generated (by the example board, not the TouchGFX) file "TouchGFXHAL.cpp" has some "if" on interrupt calls that caused this behavior. When checking the if (osKernelGetState() == osKernelRunning)its assumption that the

Trying to synchronize in time three different STM32F446RE MCUs. I first tried to look how internal oscillators drift compared to each others. The datasheet says that the precision of the oscillations are of 500ppm (parts per million). So every 1000000 oscillations there can be a 500 oscillation shift compared to what a million oscillations should bring us, am I right ?However, I observed with the code in annex that the parts per million are a lot more than expected so I was wondering if I was missing something.I can observe 4000ppm with one of the three MCUs I use and 2000ppm and 1000ppm for the two others.Using the PLL or not to change the oscillations frequency output doesn't change anything and the parts per million observed stay the same. Can someone help me understand where I am missing something please ?

Hi, I am developing firmware on the STM32MP157C-DK2 in engineering mode and using STM32Cube_FW_MP1_V1.4.0 and STM32CubeIDE. I must say this is my first project with a STM device and the tools. I am unable to direct printf to the UART4 linked to the onboard VCP of the STLink debugger. The cube package example 'UART_Receive_Transmit_Console' seems to directing printf to USART3 port, not the UART4. After reading the application note 'AN4989 Rev 3: STM32 microcontroller debug toolbox', printf redirection to uart port seems quite simple task. But since UART4 cannot be assigned to the CortextM4, it is shared port. I am unable to figure out where the handle of UART4 port is defined, which is essentially needed to redirect printf command. Thanks in advance for any help in making it work. Kind regardsHafeez

The eeprom I am using has no status byte/bit. In order to know if the device is busy you have to look for an ACK when repeatedly sending the address byte.I cannot find an easy way to do this using the CUBEIDE and the HAL. All the low level i2c routines are static to the libraries.Any ideas?ThanksRich
