Solved

Hello,I'm trying to embed an app in the st-linux distribution. I mean that the goal is to have it compiled with bitbake and integrated in a custom st-image-weston.I tried to use the gtk hello world example of Developper section (that run without problems) but with distribution package. ( https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP157x-DK2/Develop_on_Arm%C2%AE_Cortex%C2%AE-A7/Create_a_simple_hello-world_application )So I made a bitbake recipe but when I run it I get the error "error: gtk/gtk.h: No such file or directory".But bitbake layers include gtk+3, when I run bitbake gtk+3 it is successful.I tried adding gtk3 to compiling flags, DEPENDS, RDEPENDS, do_configure[depends] but nothing worked. The only thing that worked is sourcing the developper package sdk environnement setup, but it's weird. I'm a little of a beginner with bitbake and I didn't found how to make that developper package app work with the distribution package. Here is my .bb file :# Recipe

The ODR of vibration sensor iis3dwb is 26667 Hz. If I set 2048 of FFT size, is the below calculation correct? Or we need to use the bandwidth 6 kHz to calculate the bin frequency. Please advise. Thanks!0:  0 * 26667 / 2048 =    0.0 Hz 1:  1 * 26667 / 2048 =   13.02 Hz 2:  2 * 26667 / 2048 =   26.04 Hz 3:  3 * 26667 / 2048 =  39.06 Hz 4: ... 5: ...1024: 1024 * 26667 / 2048 = 13333.5 Hz

Greetings!I have just migrated my project from Cube firmware F7 1.16.0 to 1.16.1 . Now the compiler complains about a missing "stm32f7xx_ll_adc.h". This is correct since the file does not exist. If I create a new clean project which uses the ADC peripheral using HAL libraries I get the same result.Comparing the my sources reveals, that the HAL headers of the ADC now includes the file, which wasn't the case before migration:--- a/Drivers/STM32F7xx_HAL_Driver/Inc/stm32f7xx_hal_adc.h +++ b/Drivers/STM32F7xx_HAL_Driver/Inc/stm32f7xx_hal_adc.h @@ -29,7 +29,7 @@ #include "stm32f7xx_hal_def.h"   /* Include low level driver */ +#include "stm32f7xx_ll_adc.h"The file gets created when I switch the ADC peripheral to LL but gets removed again when switching back to HAL.I'm using STM32CubeIDE 1.6.1 on Ubuntu 20.04 . Am I missing something?Best regards,Felix

HelloI switched to the Distribution package to have access to the layers provided by ST.After I use command repo sync I, a file named layer is created. When I:DISTRO=openstlinux-weston MACHINE=stm32mp1-disco source layers/meta-st/scripts/envsetup.sh I get the following error[source layers/openembedded-core/oe-init-build-env][from nothing]Error: The OE SDK/ADT was detected as already being present in this shell environment. Please use a clean shell when sourcing this environment script. How can I clean the shell environment ?

I am using TouchGFX ButtonWithLabel widget to have text within my buttons. It requires Resource texts and the function setLabelText() has TypedText as an argument. I want to replace the label with my own custom string which can change during runtime and is not predictable (can't use resources). Is there a way to implement a button with text over it which can be changed anytime like a wildcard?

It fails at 24MHz, but mostly works at 8MHz. Is there a spec on it somewhere?

Hi, I Have recently uploaded a simple Led Blink code on my STM32F469, since that the screen is always black and doesn't show anything.I want to know how to go back to the default code that was on this board in order to make the screen work normally as it was,Thanks

I would like to have an interrupt thank to a threshold. So I have used CFG_REG_C (0x62) to enable interrupt on pin and INT_CTRL_REG to configure it (see screenshot). However, the interrupt is never trigger, so I have readen INT_SOURCE_REG each 500 ms, and we can see that there is interrupt (last bit) and the threshold is exceeded on differents axes, but I have never had interrupt on pin.

1. Is the value of the current in coil A or coil B still IREF*sin( 90° *n/4 ) or IREF*cos( 90° *n/4 )after the pluse on the step clock pin (STCK) dont trigger any more?2. Is the torque still keeping after the pluse on the step clock pin (STCK) dont trigger any more?3. Must I force the EN pin low after the pluse on the step clock pin (STCK) dont trigger any more?

Hi All ,I flashed the board Spc584b-Disp with a SW that had a watchdog reset happening .When I repower the Board and try to connect to it to reflash ,the RESET LED4 is alawys ON ,and the UDE gives an error PpcJtagTargIntf: No JTAG client found !Message from component 'PpcJtagTargIntf' :Can't connect target !Message from component 'PpcJtagTargIntf' :No JTAG client found !Please check:- target power supply- JTAG cable connection- target configurationI know it is not the UDE STK 5.2 Problem because I reinstalled the drivers and the UDE STK and I can connect to other Spc58 Boards using it .The problem is with the Board ,I can see the SW running at power ON (LEDS Indication) and then going through WDG RESET forever .Is there a way I can fix this ?All Board Jumpers are in Default setting.

Hello, I can't build my project since this morning and I don't know why.I've tried to check updates and install SPC5 Studio another time but it doesn't work. You can find the problem below : 10:51:19 **** Build of configuration Default for project LodBrok **** make -j8 all Compiling boot.s Compiling crt0.s Compiling vectors.s Compiling ivor.s Compiling cache.c Compiling spc5_lld.c Assembler messages: Fatal error: can't create build/obj/boot.o: No such file or directory Assembler messages: Fatal error: can't create build/obj/crt0.o: No such file or directory Compiling spc5_edma.c make: *** [components/spc574sxx_platform_component_rla/lib/rsc/rules.mk:141: build/obj/boot.o] Error 1 make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs.... make: *** [components/spc574sxx_platform_component_rla/lib/rsc/rules.mk:141: build/obj/crt0.o] Error 1 Assembler messages: Fatal error: can't create build/obj/ivor.o: No such file or directory make: *** [components/spc574sxx_platform_component_rla/lib/rsc/rules.mk:141:

I use IIS3DWB vibration sensor. I set maximum bandwidth 6.3 kHz and FFT size 2048. What acquisition time should I use when using MotionSP library?

I am using the Nucleo WB55 Development Board, how do I set up the (Programmable voltage detector) PVD and get it to work?

i wish to use HRTIM as general purpose timer with high resolution.can i get sample code for HRTIM .

I'm a newbie with embedded topics, for educational purposes I'm trying to set up my ST32MP157C-DK2 using Buildroot.Using menuconfig I pointed Kernel, TF-A and U-boot to the latest label releases of ST forked repos. But it did not work because it asked for FIP image. I enabled FIP image using menuconfig, but building fails. After investigating a bit, I realized Buildroot is missing a value for the variable BL33_CFG, which from some documentation I understand it should be set to the U-Boot dtb.Looking at the code and makefiles I couldn’t find a properly supported pattern for this, so I have made few changes: Buildroot to copy u-boot.dtb to the output folder, and set from menuconfig an additional variable for ARM_TRUSTED_FIRMARE: BL33_CFG=$(BINARIES_DIR)/u-boot.dtb.and also defined BR2_TARGET_ARM_TRUSTED_FIRMWARE_UBOOT_BL33_IMAGE=?u-boot-nodtb.bin? Now building succeed without issues apparently. The next step would be to flash using STM32CubeProgrammer, I use this tsv file:———–   #

Hi ,I want to setup my STM32F769 Discovery board as USB Host. I use STM32CubeMX :Middleware-> USB_HOST-> Class For HS IP: Mass Storage Class. But when I generate the code, it gave me pop up warning as following. What does this warning mean? And how should I resolve it?

Hi guys, having an issue getting the DFU mode working again. Learning from my last mistake where I didnt connect the USBV33V last time, however this time I did.The computer is detecting the MCU, but I guess the MCU for whatever reason does not want to say its descriptor, any reason why?MCU: stm32h753zit6SCHEMATIC:

Im trying to follow this tutorial but inside platform settings of FATFS i get this:No found solution for BSP api (SDIO detection pin?) And when i press generate code i get this warning complaining about the very same thing

Hello,I recently got a nucleo-h755zl-q and on the back of the info card that came with says "The demo software and several software examples that allow you to use the stm32 Nucleo features are available at st.com/en/product/nucleo-h755zi-q" however I looked there and was not able to find any sample code at all. I realize this is kind of a foolish question, but does anyone know where I can find a copy of that code, or some other sample code for this board? Thanks

Wondering why I'm getting a hard fault when writing to the FLASH option key register on an STM32G071RBT6 (Nucleo board).I first make this call, (running from flash):LL_AHB1_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_AHB1_GRP1_PERIPH_FLASH);Then, running from RAM, do the following: if (READ_BIT(FLASH->OPTR, FLASH_OPTR_nBOOT_SEL) != 0) { // Unlock flash option bytes WRITE_REG(FLASH->OPTKEYR, FLASH_OPTKEY1); WRITE_REG(FLASH->OPTKEYR, FLASH_OPTKEY2);The READ_BIT operation works fine, but I get a fault writing the OPTKEYR register. The key values are defined as follows:#define FLASH_OPTKEY1 0x08192A3B#define FLASH_OPTKEY2 0x4C5D6E7FThe register address is resolving to 0x4002200C, which I believe is correct.Any thoughts? Thanks.

Hello there,I am developing a FreeRTOS based application using STM32L452 MCU. I am looking for a way, to reduce the power consumption in the idle intervals of the processors work. When reviewing the sleep modes, it occured to me that the MCU might be unresponsive to external events or even lose context (MCU reset), which is not fit in this RTOS running application.I thought then that I could simply reduce the HCLK frequency by playing with the PLL registers. The problem here is that the systick timer will get altered, and I really need it to stay with its regular timebase (1 ms). I checked either it is possible to clock the Systick timer from other sources, but it seems like its only HCLK and HCLK / 8. The datasheet says it is calibrated for this value.I would appreciate some suggestions on this topic.Lukasz.

When starting connectable undirected advertising mode by calling "aci_gap_set_discoverable(...)" it turns out that the advertiser sends AD with "Flags" type (0x01) and "TX power level" type (0x0A). As a restriction of the application, I need to remove the "TX power level" AD. From CSS v9 Table 1.1, this data type is optional. So, I've tried to delete this AD type calling "aci_gap_delete_ad_type(0x0A)" after "aci_gap_set_discoverable(...)".The problem is that sometimes, although the function to start advertising ends with success code, the function to delete AD type returns the error = BLE_STATUS_NOT_ALLOWED (0x46), and that prevents the BLE controller to start the advertising mode.Is there a way to start advertising only with AD type "Flags", without calling "aci_gap_delete_ad_type(0x0A)"?Currently I'm using STM32WB v1.11.1 package, but I already tried with v1.9.0 too.

Hi,I am using the MX Cube example in STM32Cube_FW_L0_V1.12.0\Projects\32L0538DISCOVERY\Examples\UART\LPUART_WakeUpFromStop.I have modified it to use the STM32L0538NUCLEO BSP and to use USART2.I had to add a HAL_SuspendTick in order to get into STOP mode. All of that is working and I can get into stop mode. I am then trying to use a terminal to wake up the unit which never works. Is there something else that has to be done to wake up the MCU via UART in stop mode??I have added my code

Hello,I am using STM32F100RBTx device present on STM32VLDISCOVERY board.I am using TIM1 with the configuration listed below. Please note that this is a partial config, other channel and clock related settings are irrelavant to interrupt so I havent posted.cr1.ckd = 0; cr1.arpe = 1;cr1.cms = 2;cr1.urs = 1;dier.uie = true;Interrupt vector : TIM1_UP_TIM16With this I am able to generate centre aligned PWM waveforms with proper duty and frequency, but the interrupt is triggered twice in each cycle, one when the CNT is 0 and one when CNT = ARR. I want the interrupt to be triggered only once, when CNT = 0. Is it possible to do that ? With cr1.cms = 2 and TIM1_CC interrupt, the interrupt will trigger only once in a cycle, but that time I cannot update CCR. My limitation is I can only udpate CCR when CNT is 0, and I cannot afford interrupt firing again at CNT = ARR (CNT = ARR is irrelavant as nothing is done at this event), due to performance degradation. Please help. Thanks

I have a STM32H757I eval board and I'm using STM32CubeIDE (last version), HAL v.1.8.0I've setup an empty project using the IDE.The problem is that the program for the CM7 core runs normally but as soon as i try to start the CM4 program everything "crash".I have followed all the procedures reported in ST documents on how to setup the debug session. Can anybody tell me where is the problem? Why i get a SIGTRAP even before the program on CM4 starts ?I can provide further details. In attachment a screenshot of the debug session
