I'm using SPI to communicate with a MIPI chip, the commands to the MIPI are sent as 9 bits but the data sent back is 8 bits. The 9 bit are set up in a uint16_t variable. Using HAL_SPI_Init the data size is set to 9 bits. When I receive the data using HAL_SPI_Receive the 8 bit data is shifted 1 place to the left as it is getting clocked by 9 bits. Is there a way to correct this? Thanks, Will.

If I press button "Generate Code" under TouchGFX: With STM32H747 Discovery board folder STM32CubeIDE is missing. But with board STM32H7B3 Discovery kit folder STM32CubeIDE will be created automatically and file ".Project" (for CubeIDE) is generated. Debugging is possible. All works fine. Is it possible to use STM32CubeIDE for debugging with STM32H747?

I want to use software uart in NUCLEO-WL55JC2.

Just wondering if anyone has any insight or demo code regarding being able to write JPEG image data coming from the DCMI directly to QSPI Flash without having to allocate a temporary RAM buffer on an STM32F7XXX? Is this possible?

I am using the STM32H753VIHX. I have a large amount of data that does not all fit in RAM. I am trying to allocate some of it to the other RAM such as RAM_D2 and RAM_D3. I seem unable to. Below is the error message I am gettingc:\st\stm32cubeide_1.6.1\stm32cubeide\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.9-2020-q2-update.win32_1.5.0.202011040924\tools\arm-none-eabi\bin\ld.exe: 170093_stm32h753.elf section `.D3data' will not fit in region `RAM'   c:\st\stm32cubeide_1.6.1\stm32cubeide\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.9-2020-q2-update.win32_1.5.0.202011040924\tools\arm-none-eabi\bin\ld.exe: region `RAM' overflowed by 9952 bytesit keeps saying region RAM, but I want to allocate to the other location. Does anyone have an example of the proper way to configure the linker file? I added the following to my STM32H753VIHX_RAM.Id file..D2data : { . = ALIGN(4); *(.D2data) /* .rodata sections (constants, strings, etc.) */ *(.D2data

Hello All, I am trying to get Full Duplex I2S working with a STM32H7 and a PCM3168A.The STM has 2 SAI blocks (SAI1 A/B) (A in master mode and B in synchronous slave) for sending data to the PCM for the DAC part of the PCM. I use this to transmit 4 Mono signals. This works with double-buffered circular DMA.I then have 2 SAI block (SAI4 A/B) both configured as synchronous slaves. both synchronized to SAI1. These should receive data from the ADC portion of the PCM. I want to setup a circular DMA transfer for this as well, to take data from the PCM and transfer continuously to a buffer.I can start a DMA transfer with status = HAL_SAI_Receive_DMA(&hsai_BlockA4, (uint8_t*)&adc0DMA, ADCDMABUFFERSIZE);  And status returns HAL_OK. But I only ever see 0's in the adc0DMA buffer. I can see I2S data on the incoming SD data line. I also have global interrupts enabled for the SAI, but the following generated handlers are never called when I set a breakpoint:void BDMA_Channel0_IRQHandler(

There is something missing upon receiving junk .How do we keep the count of how much response will be received in advance ? should any flags be set to check whether the response received is correct and clear upon not receiving proper response , bit confused . please helpThanks in advance.

Hello all, I am currently unable to solve this issue:I use STM32F401RET6 with USB functionality (COM port). USB works just fine when in normal runtime, but I am unable to reach the DFU.I think that for some reason the HSE is not detected or some other fault happens in the bootloader. When I pull the BOOT0 to 3V3 on start, the normal program does not start, which is good. But when I plug in a USB cable, device gets reset and starts in normal mode and not DFU.I have tried accessing the DFU using USART1 and it seems to connect OK. According to the AN2606, it would seem that the HSE is not detected:However, the HSE probably works just fine when running in normal mode as USB CDC works and I am able to communicate using a terminal with USB COM port.I use 8 MHz HSE:The device may be powered both from the USB or external power jack.Does anyone have ideas how to advance, what to test or how to resolve this? Thank you.

We are working with STM32H750VBT6. Our project works with an external QSPI flash. We planned to put our bootloader in STM’s internal flash and our firmware in the QSPI flash. We need to protect the internal flash (bootloader) for reading from the external flash’s code. There are some tools for protection in STM32H750:RDP helps to protect from external reading and does not protect from the code, which executes from the external flash. PCROP protects execution only data and requires an additional data section for data and constants which is not protected. We keep crypto keys and other data in the bootloader (the internal flash), which need to be protected from reading too.Secure access mode. Secure access mode has all the opportunities, which we need. There are some problems for understanding how secure access mode works:Can we activate secure access mode in our bootloader directly (without use of STM32CubeProgrammer)?HAL has functions for it, but we tried it and it does n

I'm doing some research on stepper drivers an the L6219DS fits the exact needs. In order to do a proper evaluation i need to overview the lifecycle data. Can anyone provide this information for me. Would be a shame if this driver becomes obsolete very soon.

Hi everyone,I'm working on projet which does the acquisition of signal continuously with sampling frequency is 25kHz. The length of acquired signal is about 1s (25000 samples), then some signal processing will be applied on this signal to obtain some indicators. Because the length of signal is large so I use actually an external RAM to store DMA buffer (length of buffer is double my desired length of signal). Once the buffer is half filled, I do some processing on this half filled buffer and let ADC with DMA continue to acquire signal and save on the other half of the buffer. Doing like that, I can acquire signal continously but I think there will be problems because MCU are doing some processing on buffer while DMA are also working on this (I think they share the data bus so there will be some conficts if we acces to the same memory zone in the same time). I tried to configure the DMA with highest priority but there are always problems on acquired signal. Actually, I stop ADC (so DMA

Codegeneration for QSPI/OCTOSPI currently fails to enable a required clock and also passes an invalid value in the initialization struct. This is important to fix because especially the clock-issue was very hard to identify (and avoiding such init-pitfalls is IMO the core reason for the whole Cube-stuff to EXIST).The generated function HAL_OSPI_MspInit should call:__HAL_RCC_OCTOSPIM_CLK_ENABLE()but it never does.In MX_OCTOSPI2_Init, there should be a line like:sOspiManagerCfg.Req2AckTime = 1;because this value is asserted to be non-zero in HAL_OSPIM_Config.Current workaround:Manually fix both in the user-section of MX_OCTOSPI2_Init: /* USER CODE BEGIN OCTOSPI2_Init 1 */ __HAL_RCC_OCTOSPIM_CLK_ENABLE(); sOspiManagerCfg.Req2AckTime = 1; /* USER CODE END OCTOSPI2_Init 1 */How to reproduce:Attempt to use OCTOSPI2 peripheral (USE_FULL_ASSERT required for the invalid-Req2AckTime-check).I can provide a fairly minimal *.ioc file if needed.Versions:CubeIDE 1.6.1, using STMCub

If any examples on such please if anybody finds or could share some of their experience would be of great help. Thanks in advance.

I have a single channel lora GATEWAY (DRAGINO LGO2) since it can only transmit packets in 1 channel like 868400000, I couldnt activate my stm32-wl55Jc1 with that gateway via ABP mode. Would you please guide me to config the stm32-wl55Jc1 to transmit packets in just 1 frequency is there any solution?

Hi,In our project, we have selected SPC584B70 as the MCU. Could you please provide help to support model based design and code generation using MATLAB/Simulink for SPC584B70 MCU ?I can see that SPC58 series is supported by Embedded Coder from MathWorks for code generation. I would like to know the code generation settings that I need in MATLAB Embedded Coder to make to generate optimized production code for SPC584B70. I am using SPC5 Studio IDE having built-in free GCC compiler for the code compilation.Thank you in advance.Best regards,Sreejith

I am using usb-pd system with stm32g071rb76 processor. There are 2 CC pins on this processor. But when I use the stm32g0b1kct6 processor, there is only one CC pin. Why is that. Is there an advantage to it. I am using TCPP01-M12 as a protection circuit. In this case, what should I do with the cc2 pin in tcpp01-m12?

Dear support I need the reliability data (FIT or MTBF) for LSM6DS33 and for LPS25HB

Hello,I'm integrating the LSM6DSO32 into an MCU project and I'm using the example drivers from CubeMx.The problem is that I don't understand how the gyroscope sensitivity is calulated into the drivers. The constants for the sensitivities at the various fullscale setting are the following:#define LSM6DSO32_GYRO_SENSITIVITY_FS_125DPS 4.375f #define LSM6DSO32_GYRO_SENSITIVITY_FS_250DPS 8.750f #define LSM6DSO32_GYRO_SENSITIVITY_FS_500DPS 17.500f #define LSM6DSO32_GYRO_SENSITIVITY_FS_1000DPS 35.000f #define LSM6DSO32_GYRO_SENSITIVITY_FS_2000DPS 70.000fHowever if I calculate them with the classical ADC sensitivity equation (that works for the accelerometers) I obtain slightly different values:GYRO_FS=500; GYRO_SENSITIVITY=2*GYRO_FS/2^16*1000; //=15.259I noted that the ratio between the values that I calculate and those in the drivers is constant (1.1469), therefore I suppose I'm missing some scaling factor.Could someone clarify why the equation isn't correct?Thank you,Davide.

I try to control the BLDC with MCSDK. But when I connect the board, the voltage shows 17V. (At this time, I have not provided voltage to NUCLEO-IHM08M1) And I’m supplying a voltage of 24V, and the measured value is 34V.Are there any details I missed?

Hi all,I’am working with some nucleo board si ce a while. Now I’am planning to build my first personal board. And my final objective is to be able to update my code in my board remotely. Is it possible ? I have read some article update firmware remotely is it the way I have to follow?

any one can help how can add hfi to v5.y or how write with myself and add to this

Hi all,I just installed the new release 4.16 of TouchGFX and have a problem when using the Dynamic Graph widget:I am using "Wrap and Overwrite" Behaviour and The Vertical Frontline activated. Line Width: 1When adding points to the graph the Frontline is not updated correctly. Previous line positions are not cleared and stay visible in the graph until it wraps. Furthermore: When calling "Graphik.clear(); Graphik.invalidate()" the Vertical Frontline is not cleared and flickers or stays permanently at the previous position until it is overwritten by new data points.Any idea how to overcome this issue?BR GS

Hi All!I also used eDesignSuite to build two 3.3 and 15 volt power supplies. This is what the program generated for me:I made two boards according to these diagrams:In the process of testing them, I found that in the absence of a load, the voltage at the output of the circuits is 3.8 and 16 volts. Then I set a current of 100 mA from the electronic load and the voltage dropped to almost zero. Maybe the board went to the defense? What could be the problem?
