Hello everyone, I hope you are well and in good health.I am currently working on an academic project "Parking Barrier Command". For this application, I am going to use the MEMS sensor LIS2DW12.Checking the sonor specifications, it shows me that it has full user selectable scales of ±2g/±4g/±8g/±16g (from what I understand, the unit "g" refers to the sensitivity of the measurements).I am wondering what is the proper sensitivity value among the previously mentioned scales that I should select in order to have a good system performance ?In other words, how to know the right value that matches the desired application?Thank you in advance

We made a prototype, but the reading performance is worse than EVAL.It was confirmed that the value of Ext.signal sourse in the "normal with RF on" state was large. Therefore, it is presumed that the large reception noise is the cause of the deterioration of reading performance. Is this guess correct? When measured with a certain antenna, both "Refrected Power" values are -20dBm or less. However, the value of Ext.signal sourse in the "normal with RF on" state is about -70 dBm for EVAL, and about -60 dBm for our prototype. What is the cause of this difference? How can we improve read performance?

Hi All, Calling HAL_DeInit() causes the STM32H7 micro to reset when it executes __HAL_RCC_AHB3_FORCE_RESET();#define __HAL_RCC_AHB3_FORCE_RESET() (RCC->AHB3RSTR=0xFFFFFFFFU)   HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_DeInit(void) { /* Reset of all peripherals */ __HAL_RCC_AHB3_FORCE_RESET(); // <-- Causes CPU reset __HAL_RCC_AHB3_RELEASE_RESET(); . . . }I assume it is because it is writing 1's to reserved bits. Replacing the macro with the following fixes the issue:#define __HAL_RCC_AHB3_FORCE_RESET() RCC->AHB3RSTR |= (RCC_AHB3RSTR_MDMARST \ | RCC_AHB3RSTR_DMA2DRST \ | RCC_AHB3RSTR_JPGDECRST \ | RCC_AHB3RSTR_FMCRST \ | RCC_AHB3RSTR_QSPIRST \ | RCC_AHB3RSTR_SDMMC1RST)I hope this gets fixed in the next HAL release. It caused me a lot of headaches :)Cheers,David

Hello @Eleon BORLINI  ,l want to add functionality to interrupt 2, I want that in addition to the full fifo we have. how can i do it?

..

Good day to everyone on this forumI was working on a code, my borad is a Nucleo-144 STM32F746, At first I was trying to read 12 Analog signals, from 0 to 3V with DMA and the reads were good exept for some channels with noise and a weird offset, I reducted my signal readings to just three signals, the first three channels from CH0 to CH2, Pins PA0 PA1 and PA2 respectively. Here is where I noticed a sine noise signal on PA1 with a RMS Volage value of arround 1.4V (Measured on oscilloscope), on channel 2, PA2 I noticed the pin on the air was permanently on HIGH with a signal of 3.3V. I began making some tests, changing the pin configuration to just a Digital Input with a Pull Down (By software) resistor and it seems to have done nothing on the PA1 and PA2 pins, with this conffiguration as an input all the other pins stay on a 0V constant signal but these two doesnt seem to change. I made the test on two other boards of the exact same family to discard the option the pins were damaged, and

Hi,we have a strange behaviour which could be resolved by changing clock configuration, but we cannot explain why the errors occured in the first place. Perhaps some of you have any idea why the following happened:random hardfault during runtime after 2min to several hoursonly on a few of thousands of devices, all from a limited production batch over half a yearThe "error" was in the SetSysClock function which was as following:static void SetSysClock(void) { /* SYSCLK, HCLK, PCLK configuration ----------------------------------------*/   /* Enable Prefetch Buffer and set Flash Latency */ FLASH->ACR = FLASH_ACR_PRFTBE | FLASH_ACR_LATENCY;   /* HCLK = SYSCLK / 1 */ RCC->CFGR |= (uint32_t)RCC_CFGR_HPRE_DIV1;   /* PCLK = HCLK / 1 */ RCC->CFGR |= (uint32_t)RCC_CFGR_PPRE_DIV1;   /* PLL configuration */ RCC->CFGR &= (uint32_t)((uint32_t)~(RCC_CFGR_PLLSRC | RCC_CFGR_PLLXTPRE | RCC_CFGR_PLLMULL)); RCC->CFGR |= (uint32_t)(RCC_CFGR_PLLSRC_HSI_Div2

In RM0091 rev.9, footnote 2 to Figure 273 on Page 760 has the following text:All the events associated with the transmitter receive flow must be ignored in standard transmit only mode (e.g. OVF flag). There is no OVF flag in the 'F0xx SPI; this should probably be the OVR flag instead.JW

Is there an export/import option for pin configuration?

Hello,Does anybody know if there is any prerequisite when enabling or disabling the prefetch buffer?More specifically, in the Nucleo L4R5ZI sleep example the prefetch buffer is disabled in main() just before the main loop. It is never re-enabled after this. (Bit FLASH_ACR_PRFTEN.)   __HAL_FLASH_PREFETCH_BUFFER_DISABLE();   __HAL_FLASH_PREFETCH_BUFFER_ENABLE();Since the prefetch buffer is enabled at reset / power up, the existence of an ENABLE macro suggests that it can be re-enabled, but I haven't been able to find out if this is done in the background by the MCU HW or if you must give the MCU some clock cycles to adjust itself.Greatful for your input.Best regardsNiclas

Hello,5.2->table 9->4th raw mistakenly repeats 'Audio speaker' instead of 'CDC' or like this.

I am in the process of designing a new controller for a product and the only processors that seem available in any quantity are the -P versions. The datasheet isn't clear for these if the SMPS is optional and you can just use the internal LDO, or if you *have* to supply the core voltage separately on these devices. If we are just losing two I/Os then that's not a problem, if we have to add an external power circuit then it's a different matter. The datasheet seems to suggest it is the former, but I'd prefer some clarfication on this so I don't design a dud board without realising! Thanks.

I create a STM32CubeMx project (test.ioc) for a NUCLEO-H745ZI-Q board and select PPL3 to clock the ADC, but the function PeriphCommonClock_Config() is not generated unless I also clock the USB from PPL3 as well. After enabling a single ADC1 channel I change the clocking as shown belowI then toggle the clock source for the USB and captured the code generated for each option as shown below. Left side is ADC clocked by PLL3, right side is is ADC and USB clocked by PLL3So it looks like STM32CubeMx is ignoring the generation of PeriphCommonClock_Config() when only the ADC is clocked from PLL3.I think this is a bug in STM32CubeMX code generation.cheersChris

In the latest firmware for STM32F4 (STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.26.1) the libarm_cortexM4lf_math.a file is 3025kB.In the latest firmware for STM32L4 (STM32Cube_FW_L4_V1.17.0) the libarm_cortexM4lf_math.a file is 5235kB.I found that in the version for STM32L4 arm_rfft_fast_init_f32() returns an error if the FFT length is 128, whereas the version for STM32F4 does not. So I replaced the STM32L4 version with the STM32F4 version, and it seems to work fine. I'm confused: Why there are different version for F4 and L4 in the first place? And is it safe to use the F4 version with a L4 MCU? And where would I report that bug with the 128 point FFT?

I have two codes running (on stm32mp157f-Dk2) successfully one is running on M4+freeRTOS another on A7+Linux, they are intercommunicating via RPMSGx. The problem is that after power-loss or reboot, I want both of my programs starting automatically and not the default UI (GNU desktop screen with icons of examples). HelloJust as an information; (@Alexandre RENOUX )You added the function OSWrappers::taskYield() when using L8 images.TaskYield() is called in the function setupDataCopy. The problem: setupDataCopy is also called from ISR as you know, TaskYield() is not allowed to be called from ISR and you get Thread-Errors.I think this should be fixed in the next release...Cheers, Roman

Good evening,I am using stm32mp157F-DK-2 board. And I want to update the kernel from old 5.4.31 to 5.10.10.I was following step-by-step "Modify, rebuild and reload the Linux® kernel" on the "https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP157x-DK2/Develop_on_Arm%C2%AE_Cortex%C2%AE-A7/Modify,_rebuild_and_reload_the_Linux%C2%AE_kernel#Build_the_Linux-C2-AE_kernel_source_code_for_the_first_time". Only strange thing the command: >> /sbin/depmod -a - does not return any success/failure info. No errors appeared so I used >> sync and >>reboot. After reboot I see that both old and new kernel modules are present:>> ls /lib/modules 5.10.10  5.4.31When i try to check current kernel version :>> uname -aLinux stm32mp1 5.4.31 #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Apr 8 07:08:47 UTC 2020 armv7l armv7l armv7l GNU/LinuxHave I missed something? Does the old kernel module should be removed entirely?I have tried re-flashing the board and repeating procedure multiple

Hi,I have a STMF32446ZE board and require an external crystal that isn't using the STLINK crystal. For x3 ST recommend the following: NX3225GD-8.000MEXS00A-CG04874The specs of this crystal are: Frequency Stability ±50ppm Frequency Tolerance ±20ppm Load Capacitance 8pF Operating Temperature -40°C ~ 85°C Mounting Type Surface Mount Size / Dimension 0.126" L x 0.098" W (3.20mm x 2.50mm) Frequency 8 MHz ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) 500 OhmsDoes anyone know of a crystal that can be used? Thanks in advance, much appreciated!

I bought p-nucleo lrwan2 working with STM32LO MCU,and i'am wondering to configure its device sensor as end node ,watching the last video posted by ST they were working with the same pack but they targered STM32WL as end node instead of working with the STM32LO.

we are using a TESEO-LIV3F in it's default configuration and it is giving local time not UTC. How can I configure it to provide UTC?

I am an employee of Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle in Korea.I'm a member of the purchasing team, and I'm in charge of Tyco AMP.BCM, which is supplied from Tyco AMP, needs your VNH3SP30TR-E material. However, we are not receiving supplies from your supplier. The order was placed in December 2020, but is not available until December 2021.I'm in a hurry to buy the market and use it, but it's also limited. When can we get the normal supply? Without that part, we cannot manufacture vehicles. I ask for your active review.

Hi everyone,I am currently testing the UHF RFID board from ST (ST25RU3993-HPEV) and the eval board is using STM32L476RGT6 (Arm®(a) 32-bit Cortex®-M4) as the MCU. Our testing so far has been good and we would like to design our own RFID reader based on this.Unfortunately, after a search on major component distributor, STM32L476RGT6 is now not in stock, possibly due to the global chip shortageIs there any potential MCU that can replace STM32L476RGT6 with minimum disruption in firmware development, i.e., we can use the existing Python codes provided by STM and run with the new MCU? Appreciate your kind support.

Hi,I would like to compile a user space c++ application on the STM32MP157C-DK2. Is it possible to install GCC or G++ on the board?I tried installing them via apt-get but seems like there is not any package with name gcc or g++.How can i install it and how do i make sure it is up and running ? I know we can use Yocto SDK to compile and transfer the code on to the board via SCP. But here i specifically want to compile it on board itself.Any leads will be highly appreciated.

Hello,Right now the IDE is driving me crazy: I've written an include in my project, made requred/mandatory entry in project settings (see the attachement), and get the error message "No such file or directory" when I compile the project.I've checked several times that everything is correct, can't find any errors, but I always get this error message. As you can see in the bottom part of the screen shot, the compiler doesn't include this directory ("-I ...") in the command line. Can someone help me please! Thanks in advance,Michael
