We are using a STM32MP157 chip on a custom low-power design and don't need the Cortex M4 core. We would like to disable it properly to reduce power consumption and also remove dedicated support in linux kernel. Is there any recommended way to do this ? Is disabling clock enough ?Thanks in advance for your help

我在高级定时器溢出中断?GPIO电平翻转的动作，然?去观察GPIO的波形，但是当定时器的溢出频率过高时，我?现示波器没波形了，这是?跟定时器中断的最大频率有关？I did the action of GPIO level flip during the advanced timer overflow interrupt and then observed the waveform of GPIO. However, when the overflow frequency of timer was too high, I found that the oscilloscope had no waveform. Is this related to the maximum frequency of timer interrupt?

But I am having a hard time finding this zip file!!!!! I want to start using my stm32f411e discovery board but there are hardly any resources on the internet for this specific board and for a newbie like me this is just demotivating. Please help me out with this as I want to learn this ASAP. There might be more resources on the net which might help me start and please do suggest if you have any in mind. Thank you.

Hi, I am working with STM32F103 and configure CAN filter like this:CAN_FilterTypeDef sFilterConfig; sFilterConfig.FilterBank = 0; sFilterConfig.FilterMode = CAN_FILTERMODE_IDMASK; sFilterConfig.FilterScale = CAN_FILTERSCALE_32BIT; sFilterConfig.FilterIdHigh = 0x0000; sFilterConfig.FilterIdLow = 0x0000; sFilterConfig.FilterMaskIdHigh = 0x0000; sFilterConfig.FilterMaskIdLow = 0x0000; sFilterConfig.FilterFIFOAssignment = CAN_RX_FIFO0; sFilterConfig.FilterActivation = ENABLE; sFilterConfig.SlaveStartFilterBank = 14;   if (HAL_CAN_ConfigFilter(&hcan, &sFilterConfig) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } if (HAL_CAN_Start(&hcan) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } if (HAL_CAN_ActivateNotification(&hcan, CAN_IT_RX_FIFO0_MSG_PENDING) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }This uses only FIFO0 memory, correct? So I can receive only up to 3 messages at the same time, otherwise it would overflow?Could I also use FIFO1 memory? To receive up to 6 messages at the same time?H

We are integrating the STL library in the context of a project requiring IEC 61508 safety integrity level 2 (SIL2). How can we programmatically pull the version info out of the STL library? The API doesn't show anything to that effect. Also, what's the latest version we shall use?

We are using Area 1 for a 32 byte header, and Area 2 is being used as general EEPROM storage (ENDA1 = 0x00, ENDA2=ENDA3=ENDA4=0x0F). When I setup the system ENDAx registers like this and I try to do a read across the Area1-Area2 boundary the first 32 bytes are read in just fine, but everything beyond that is read as 0's. When I setup ENDAx registers like this and try to do a write across the Area1-Area2 boundary, the first 32 bytes are written, but it fails beyond that point with an I2C error due to a received NACK. If I instead split the reads/writes at the Area1-Area2 boundary (ie. I read the first 32 bytes, and then read the next 256 bytes right after that) then I will succeed.I haven't found any mention in the documentation of I2C access being limited in this way by the Area settings, I thought Area settings were purely for the RF side. From my understanding I2C should always see all of the EEPROM memory space as one giant block of bytes, and the ENDAx settings should have no impac

Hello, I am practicing with the getting started documentation and on this page: https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/ui-development/software-architecture/code-structureit says to Navigate to the user code header file MyScreenView.hpp  and override the functionBut the file shown is in a different path than the one written right below. Written: MyApplication/generated/gui_generated/src/my_screen/MyScreenView.hppCorrect: MyApplication/gui/include/gui/my_screen/MyScreenView.hppAm I not understanding something or this has to be changed? Kind regards Zobeer

Hello,I used the example DCMI_CaptureMode for the STM32F769I-EVAL and the CubeMX generator with CubeAI in order to make an object classifier on board. It worked well with the internal RAM for 28*28*1 pictures but now that I want it to work for 128*128*3 pictures, it needs more RAM, but I can't achieve to use the external SDRAM:The issue is: if I use MX_X_CUBE_AI_Process(); the screen freezes, and if I don't use it, I still have issues calling BSP_LCD_FillRect() => it doesn't show a rectangle whereas on other projects, it did.Question 1: Can we see how much of the external RAM is reserved to CubeAI ? (in order to use the rest of the external RAM for peripherals)Question 2: Do you have an idea on how to deal with my issue ? Anything would be welcome. Here is the way I tried to tackle the issue:-> I used the advanced option to use the external SDRAM for CubeAI, but it comes in conflict with the camera and LCD buffers (LCD_FRAME at 0xC0000000, Camera_FRAME at 0xC0177000, and I believe

MCSDK 5.4.3i use hall as main feedback sensor, but i noticed that i can also choose sensor-less as auxiliary sensor. what does this mean?

Dear ST community, there seems to be a bug in the latest version of the initialization code creator. I'm using STM32Cube IDE Version: 1.6.1 Build: 9958_20210326_1446 (UTC) with the included STM32CubeMX 6.2.1.20210324. The firmware package is STM32Cube FW_H7 V1.9.0 and the MCU reference is STM32H7A3ZITx. The particular MCU is STM32H7A3ZIT6 (not the Q version with integrated SMPS)The bug: Every time when creating the code from STM32CubeMX, the supply is configured to use the SMPS instead of the LDO:HAL_PWREx_ConfigSupply(PWR_DIRECT_SMPS_SUPPLY);This flag does not exist and I need to manually correct it toHAL_PWREx_ConfigSupply(PWR_LDO_SUPPLY);It only happens since i updated to the latest version of STM32CubeMX.Does anyone experience the same? I cannot find a relevant setting in the STM32CubeMX GUI.

I’m using STM32CubeMX 6.2.1, STM32CubeIDE 1.6.1 and STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.9.0. I found that the MX generated init code (LL) for DAC2 calls LL_APB1_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_APB1_GRP1_PERIPH_DAC12) when it should call LL_APB4_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_APB4_GRP1_PERIPH_DAC2). The generated HAL init code has the same problem.

Please help to check and advise difference between STM32F072RBT6 and STM32L072RBT6? Also, can they be used as replacement to each other?

I am using TouchGFX 4.17.0 and usually I open both the TouchGFX Designer and the MSVC .sln simulator project. In the beginning the IntelliSense worked. But after a while after doing some editing work on the TouchGFX Designer, the Inteli Sense not working anymore. So far I resolve this by crearting new project again from the Designer and 'Import GUI' and IntelliSense work again. But this is quite annoying. As a clue, I never encounter this on version 4.16

Hi everyone,I have a textarea wilcard which display a decimal valueI'd like to convert this value into a decimal var.double tmpVal = atof((const char*)wildcardText.getWildcard()) isn't getting the decimal numberthanks !

This is not a priority question. I'm just curious as to how USART2 and debugging can operate at the same time but I'm happy that it does.

After DDR3 (16 bit) training complete, registers are:DX0DQSTR=0x3DB03001, DX1DQSTR=0x3DB03001Should I redesign CPU board or these values are suitable?

I've the STEVAL-STWINKT1B,I've flashed ,\STMicro\SW\en.fp-sns-datalog1\STM32CubeFunctionPack_DATALOG1_V1.1.0\Projects\STM32L4R9ZI-STWIN\Applications\HSDatalog\Binary/HSDatalog.binBut I do not able to read the sensor data.I do not access the environment and other params.in ST BLE, New application>Vibration monitor> Training>>Play result in Boards scanning running out.I've added the AWS security key and private key in Cloud menu of the BLE app. it notifies AWS Active still in the dashboard it says device unconnected. Please find the images attached below

HI ,How can i install mongodb , mariadb and postgresql on stm32mp1?Is there support for databases provided for stm32mp1?

I'm using STM32L4A6 and it's SDMMC peripheral to communicate with an eMMC device.I found it occasionally get stuck in the MMC_InitCard() call. Further investigation shows it's stuck in the MMC_ReadExtCSD() call, where it utilizes a timeout value of 0x0FFFFFFF in a loop. (stm32l4xx_hal_mmc.c, line 3844). The timeout is measured by tick count. But with such a large number, what ever the unit for the tick is, this basically makes it an infinitive loop.I experimented with a much smaller value, ie 1000 etc. It does get out of the loop with a timeout error. This triggers subsequent error handling. And once it got out, retry for once or twice usually can get it pass here.My questions:What's the likely cause for the failure. The comment in MMC_ReadExtCSD() describes the block of code as 'poll on SDMMC flags'. So something is wrong. Why such a large value for timeout? Or it mean to be modified by developers? And what value is reasonable?I'm using STM32 CubeL4 firmware package1.17.0 (and STM32L4

I have 2 screens. The first screen has a button and a text area. The second has a scroll wheel and a button. What I want: 1) Click on button on screen 1, and go to screen 2 (got this working) 2) Scroll to a number on the scroll wheel on screen 2, hit the button on screen 2, goes back to screen 1 (This also works)3) The text area on screen 1 should match the scroll wheel number on screen 2 (can't figure this out)4) When I return to screen 2, scroll wheel should remain on previous selection (does not work)Simple in concept, but can't figure out how to do this. Any examples out there on how to do this. ? I'm using wildcards for my text areas. the big issue is passing data to screen 1 and also saving data from screen 2.Any help would be appreciated

Hi, I am trying to communicate with other CAN devices on CAN BUS with STM32F103.I have enabled "void HAL_CAN_RxFifo0MsgPendingCallback(CAN_HandleTypeDef *hcan)" to receive message interrupt as highest priority and in main loop I am checking if I got the message to which I need to respond. If I have a message to which I need to respond and TxMailboxes have free space, I respond from main loop like so:if (HAL_CAN_GetTxMailboxesFreeLevel(&hcan) > 0) { if (HAL_CAN_AddTxMessage(&hcan, &TxMsg.Header, data, &TxMailbox) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } }The problem I am having is that "HAL_CAN_AddTxMessage" return "HAL_OK", but often (something like 50/50 chance) other devices do not get the message. So message gets lost? Why adding TxMessage could fail? And why don't I get any indication that it failed? How to correctly send CAN BUS message without loosing it?

The example non-dual core runs perfect. The dual core doesn't run out of box. Is there some presentation or walkthrough I'm missing?

The board stays in join request mode. Single Core setup runs perfect.
