Hi, I'm currently using STM32F401RE Nucleo-64 Board. My purpose of this project is to configure ISM330DLC Accelerometer, taking reference from STEVAL-BFA001V1B sample code on Vibration Analysis. As a summary:After enabling the accelerometer FIFO FULL FLAG INT, I have initialise a variable StartTick = HAL_GetTick(); At this point, the accelerometer will trigger an interrupt every 60ms (from my oscilloscope), and it will read everything from the Acclerometer FIFO (limited by the watermark and stop on fth) for roughly 30ms. As I'm using the codes from the sample reference, the BSP STEVAL-IDP005 isn't really efficient in reading from the Accelerometer's FIFO, but that is not of the concern for this post.In the main loop, it will keep calling another layer. In that layer, it has initialised a variable ActualTick = HAL_GetTick(); and checks if (ActualTick - StartTick is more than 5000ms). If condition is TRUE, then disable FIFO INT.Nevertheless, the current problem I'm facing is this:The act

Hello All,I'm a bit stuck on the calculation of the external load capacitances on a STM32F205, regarding the LSE Oscillator for 32.768kHz.In the AN2867 there is the following formula:When assuming that CL1 and CL2 are the same, the formula could be simplified to this:The stray capacitance Cs is given by the sum of the pin capacitance and the PCB. In the STM32F205 datasheet there is a note where you can use 10pF as rough estimate for the stray capacitance. So regarding this information and the formula above, the load capacity of the selected crystal must always be greater than 10pF (Cext will be 0pF if Cl is 10pF). And here I'm stuck now. Because in the list of compatible crystal oscillators in the AN2867 there is no F2 compatible oscillator with a load capacity above 10pF. What I see are some oscillators with a load capacity below 10pF, but how could that be? When following the formula I have to add an negative external capacity...Best regardsAl

HiI am using STM32CUBEIDE on macOS. Until now I used my ST-Link v2 via SWD with no problems. I have recently upgraded to an ST-Link v3 MINI and implemented the STDC14 connector on my custom pcbs. The pinout is according to the datasheet (the pins on the ST-Link are numbered and DIO is 4, CLK 6 and so on..)however: when I open STM32CUBEIDE it recognizes the st-link but when I hit run or debug, it will return "no target found". When I disconnect the ST-Link v3 and connect my st-link v2 I am able to flash the board with no problems.the ST-Link v3 MINI led is always red during this process.Does anybody have a clue on how to handle this? I also did not manage to use the drag&drop function...

According to the manual UM1956 I can power my Nucleo-L432K board using 7-12V on VIN.So I attached a 9V block to VIN and GND. It did not work, and all that happened was that I started to smell and got hot. It looks like the capacitor C25 was the component which got really hot.The board worked before on USB. USB was not connected at that time. All solder bridges had been left to default. As I am new to all of this, I do accept that it was probably my fault. However, I would like to understand what went wrong. What did I overlook.

Hi everyone,I'm not sure if the following questions depends on OpenSTLinux - drivers for example - or STM32MP1 hardware.I have the STM32MP157F MPU and I would like to integrate Bluetooth 5.0 . My main idea was to connect a Bluetooth 5.0 dongle into my MPU, but a question crossed my mind: Does any dongle work for STM32MP157F or should it have any specific feature? Until now, I had found this kind of dongles <link>, will it work?Besides, I would like to integrate another dongle, in this case a SD card dongle - as I would like to have the main SD mounted with OpenSTLinux, which occupies the SDMMC port, and a secondary SD card exclusively dedicated to storage. I have the same question, does any dongle work? This time, I had found this one <link>.I don't know if incorporating dongles is the best option to solve my problem, anyway I am open-minded to new ideas ;)Thank you,Oscar

Hi all!I'm developing on a evaluation board NUCLEO-F446RE STM32 F4.I've to read an adc input in order to monitor a battery.There's a lot of unexpected noise in my acquired data, as visibile in attahments.I've tied directly the adc input to Vref and to a function generator, this noise in always wellpresent, as visibile in the attachment below.I've been tryng to tie vref to a very clean reference, but nothing changed.Can somenone tell me how to indepth my investigation?Below my adc settings:__ADC1_CLK_ENABLE (); gpioInit . Pin  =  GPIO_PIN_0 ; gpioInit . Mode  = GPIO_MODE_ANALOG ; gpioInit . Pull  = GPIO_NOPULL ; HAL_GPIO_Init ( GPIOA ,  & gpioInit ); HAL_NVIC_SetPriority ( ADC_IRQn ,  5 ,  0 ); HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ ( ADC_IRQn ); hadc1.Instance = ADC1; //hadc1.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_SYNC_PCLK_DIV4; hadc1.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_SYNC_PCLK_DIV

HelloI am currently attempting to interface a STM32L412 with a STUSB1602 TCPC. I am attempting to get this started by porting one of the existing STUSB1602 software libraries for another MCU. It appears like this port could be very arduous and error prone.Has anyone successful done this or can they recommend a good workflow for doing this? Thanks

I am using the UART4 in DMA mode. But as soon as I initialize the UART in RX mode, I get a framing error that calls the HAL_UART_ErrorCallback Error _Handler which halts the program. Below is my init code./* UART4 init function */ void UART4_Init(void) { UartReady = false; huart4.Instance = UART4; huart4.Init.BaudRate = 115200; huart4.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_8B; huart4.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; huart4.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_NONE; huart4.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_TX_RX; huart4.Init.HwFlowCtl = UART_HWCONTROL_NONE; huart4.Init.OverSampling = UART_OVERSAMPLING_16; huart4.Init.OneBitSampling = UART_ONE_BIT_SAMPLE_DISABLE; huart4.AdvancedInit.AdvFeatureInit = UART_ADVFEATURE_NO_INIT; if (HAL_UART_Init(&huart4) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }   UartReady = false; GPIO_Set_RS485_TXEN(0); HAL_UART_Receive_DMA( &huart4, UART_RX_Buffer, cmdLen); }The error occurs at the last line (HAL_UART_Receive_DMA().How do I prevent this error?Guidance apprecia

Will I need to use a different version of the software to use the VL53L1 as compared to the VL53L1. Right now I am using the same script that was used for the VL530X.

Dear experts,I hit a strange problem when debugging in CubeIDE code with a bootloader on Nucleo STM32H753.The bootloader sits in sector 14. The boot address of STM32H7 is redirected there via the option bytes. The main code starts at sector 0 (a.k.a. the default start address 0x08000000).Very often after starting debug session the bootloader gets hardfault very early. The debugger in use is ST-LINK server, with all settings default.Without debugger connected, the bootloader works as expected and jumps to main code. Also, in a different arrangement with bootloader in sector 0 and main code elsewhere, debug session usually starts well.Anybody seen this behavior and can offer some advise?--pa

I have vast experience in other controllers. This is the first time I am using STcontroller and STM32 IDE. Is it possible to get a step by step guide to connect and work with this module. I procured Sensor Tile Kit and ST Nucleoboard ST -F401re series.

After importing a sample project, how to include header files of components configured.

i am trying to design an application using ST25DV04K part. I am having trouble getting an antenna small enough to fit on my board. How do i make a small NFC antenna?

I have the STM32WL LoraWan_End_Node example working, but I don't understand the code with UTIL_SEQ_Run(UTIL_SEQ_DEFAULT); Where can I change the payload to send an ADC value to TTN?

Hello,For a project I'm using the IIS2ICLX Dual-axis accelerometer together with a Teensy 4.1 (Cortex-M7) MCU via I2C. I have been trying to use the Motion TL2 & AC2 together with this external platform, but with no succes so far. The libraries are available with a header file and a compiled archive. This archive is compiled for the STM32 MCU's.I found this thread implying it is possible and followed the suggested step there by contacting support, which in turn suggested trying to find information here.I have tried integrating it so it compiles with my Teensy platform without giving me errors (linking the compiled file, adjusting filepaths, etc), but now can not run any functions from it without it crashing. I'm assuming this is because it is compiled for a different platform, but I'm not too experienced with this kind of stuff. Is it possible to use these two libraries on a 3rd party platform like the Teensy 4.1? How would one approach this if it is?Thanks in advance!Mark

I'm sure this is a very basic question, but I am trying to understand exactly how to hook up this sensor to the Discovery board. Do I do this via i2c connection? If so, is there a tutorial somewhere that explains what I need to do?

I have nearly managed to interface one lcd screen(ili9341 16bit parallel fmc intel 8080 protocol) with my stm32 device but I am stuck at the very last step.I have connected the screen wires to the mcu , I have configured fmc from cube mx correctly , I have wrote correct two functions for send_command(uint16_t) and send_data(uint16_t), I also run some initialization code (something like 80 lines of commands with data for initial configuartions) from the lcd manufacturer and it seems to work as the outcome is a greyish pixeled screen instead of the original white of the backlight. The next step on my process was to fill the screen whith a random color but the code bellow fails to do it!send_command(0x2A); //configure width uint16_t y=320; send_data(0); send_data(0); send_data(y>>8); send_data(y); uint16_t x=240; send_command(0x2B); // configure height send_data(0x00); send_data(0x00); send_data( x>>8); send_data(x); send_command(0x2C); //send data   for(uns

I try to Kill a TAG, I'm using different configurations but don't obtain a different answer.I believe if a Kill a Tag, It's not more possible for my reader to identify her, but after I using the kill command my Tags still read by my reader.I want to understand whats means the parameters RFU and RECOM in the struct of the kill. What the values that parameters expected? What means the error "ERR_GEN2_REQRN"? Best Regards.

Hi!I have a NUCLEO-L476RG board that I want to use to control the ST25RU3993-HPEV board with. I am not interested in using the onboard processor on the dev-board, but instead use an independent processor. Among other reasons I need this setup because I have several other external devices I need to control as well.I am now trying to include the library to my NUCLEO-L476RG project using STM32CubeIDE, but I am quite unsure on how to manage this. Can anybody provide some kind of guide on how to achieve this kind of setup? What part of the STUHFL files do I need to include and how do I include them?Thank you in advance,/Viktor

I am working with STM32H750VBT6 rev. V. I divided the internal flash into protected and unprotected areas. I set option bytes for the protected area. It worked fine. After that I needed to deactivate PCROP protection. I could not do it. I use STM32CubeProgrammer ver: 2.7.0 and STM32 ST-Link Utility v4.5. I expect that if I set DMEP and reduce level from level 1 to level 0 PCROP protection deactivates, but it does not work. I tried different variants with RDP levels and PCROP settings but all of them do not work. How can I deactivate PCROP protection?

Is not clear how to identify (via SW reading on I2C) the version of these two PNs.From the datasheet seems that the Model ID and the Model Type are the same for both ICs. The Mask Revision could be the distinctive element but unfortunately it not reported in the VL53L1 datasheet and cannot be compared with the VL53L1X value. This is a key element to know in order to switch from VL53L1CX to VL53L1CB in a product already at production stage.Thank you for your support
