I am new to STM32. I am porting my code from ATMega128 to STM32 for faster thru put . I have to connect W5500 to STM32F103 on SPI2. To test my understanding of SPI on STM32 after compiling , a small test code in while loop.  SPI_Write(S0_CR,CR_CLOSE); //#define S0_CR 0x0001, CR_CLOSE 0x10; data_read = SPI_Read(S0_CR);used the below sub functions void SPI_Write(int addr,char data){ SPI_select HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi2, ((addr & 0xFF00) >> 8), 1, 100); HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi2, (addr & 0x00FF),1,100); HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi2, (WRITE_OPCODE_S0),1,100); HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi2, data, 1, 100); SPI_deselect } char SPI_Read(int addr){ SPI_select HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi2,((addr & 0xFF00) >> 8),1,100); HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi2,(addr & 0x00FF),1,100); HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi2,(READ_OPCODE_S0),1,100); HAL_SPI_Receive(&hspi2,spi_rec,1,100); SPI_deselect return spi_rec; }Expected 0x10 (16) in data_read

Hello everyone. Today I ran into an interesting and at the same time unpleasant problem. The same program is loaded into two identical microcontrollers, but the result of the work is completely different. The screenshot shows the data from the UART received from one and the other microcontroller.

I've designed a board that uses an STM32G030F6 processor. Now I've updated the software and... (one feature wasn't implemented yet) I cannot connect to the target CPU to flash tne new firmware into the board. Then you'd think I've programmed the SWD pins to something else that AF1: SWD, but as far as I know: i haven't. That said, then I should be able to use "connect under reset" and again... that doesn't work. (It should work if I manually hit the reset button, right? ) Both programmers I've tried today program my STM32F072R development board just fine without any trouble. Any suggestions? I thought: Maybe there is a way out with the bootloader, but alas, I've not hooked up the "boot0" pin to the programming connector as I usually do... The reason being that by default the 'G030 doesn't have a boot0 pin: that isn't enabled in the default flash config and the pin conflicts with SWD. I'm a Linux user, don't have access to MS Windows. I use "stlink" software by Texane .

I was wondering if it was possible to create a momentary button on a touchscreen using touchGFX? I am interested in using it to activate a pump while pressing the screen. For my application, a momentary button would be better suited than any latching switch.Cheers

Posted on May 31, 2017 at 23:17 I am trying to make usb operate in STM32F103 but it seems doing so is a lot different than usb fs in STM32F4 series. In F4 series it was just enough to connect usb connector to Data pins and MCU would take care of other parts. But in F103 series it is required to pull-up D+ with a resistor and also it is required to handle this pullup in different situations. From what I can find in the schematics of STLink, there is pin (USB_RENUMn) controlling this pullup resistor https://i.stack.imgur.com/tgpRh.jpg Does anybody know how to handle this pull up resistor? I could not find out what to do with this USB_RENUMn thing. You guys have any idea? usb stm32f103

Hello community,I'm designing a schematic which involves a STM32L476ZGT6.I'd like to know if a document of design recommandation exists else than the document "AN4978 Application note. Design recommendations for STM32L4xxxx with external SMPS,for ultra-low-power applications with high performance" that just deal with SMPS.In fact I'm looking for a document in which I could find some rules to follow for the schematic and the routage in order to assure a good employement of the component. Thanks in advance,Alexis MG

I stuck with ADC implementation understanding. Please help me to get this.In STM32L5xx reference manual (RM0438), ADC main features are given as follows (Page no. 685 in RM0438 Rev7)" Up to 2 ADCs which can operate in dual mode:ADC1 is connected to 16 external channels + 3 internal channelsADC2 is connected to 16 external channels"with this, I understood that, two ADC peripherals (ADC1 and ADC2) supports 16 external channels each, so, in total they should support 32channels. Is my understanding correct? If yes, I could see only 16 GPIO pads provided on controller pins (PA0-PA7, PB0-PB1 and PC0-PC5). Is multiplexing plays a role here? Then how could I differentiate a channels physically where there are only 16 GPIO pads are given?

We are trying to load the stm32wb5x_Zigbee_FFD_fw.bin on STM32WB55RC, but the address table in the release note show as 0x00 for FFD stack and STMCube Programmer gives error as bad address. What is the actual address for Zigbee stack for 256K Flash devices ?

Hello,I was just wondering whether it was possible to form a 2M PHY connection with a Windows BLE App?I have developed firmware for my STM32WB nucleo board, along with a C#.NET Windows application to connect with it.I am trying to maximise throughput for file transfer however using the "hci_le_set_phy" and "hci_le_read_phy" functions to attempt to set and read the PHY of the connections shows that despite trying to set the PHY to 2M, it remains at 1M. Is this a limitation with the board, the fact the app is running on Windows (can't change phy from app side), or some other factor which I'm not seeing?Any information would be much appreciated!Oliver.

My mcu is H743, the MDMA is enable for SD. The FATFS is used to operate file system. CubeMX is used to generate template code.Without the FreeRTOS, both of the FATFS functions f_write() and f_read () work correctly. But when the FreeRTOS is used, f_write works correctly(is checked by PC card reader) but f_read() get nothing (all of datas are 0x00).the result without FreeRTOS is shown as following:without FreeRTOS:with FreeRTOS:the test code for FATFS is show as follow:void sd_test(){ printf("\r\n ****** FatFs Example ******\r\n\r\n"); /*##-1- Register the file system object to the FatFs module ##############*/ retSD = f_mount(&fs, SDPath, 1); if(retSD) { printf(" mount error : %d \r\n",retSD); Error_Handler(); } else printf(" mount sucess!!! \r\n"); /*##-2- Create and Open new text file objects with write access ######*/ retSD = f_open(&fil, filename, FA_CREATE_ALWAYS | FA_WRITE); if(retSD){ printf(" open file error : %d\r\n",retSD); } else{ pri

Hello everyone,I am trying to build SECoreBin, but the build fails with prebuild.sh. All python requirements listed in requirements.txt are installed, but the error is following:ImportError: No module named Cryptodome.CipherAnd even more: What should I do? As I have said, cryptodome is installed.

I am trying to program an F4 with an external flash chip in mapped memory mode using the STM32_Programmer_CLI. I use the cli commandSTM32_Programmer_CLI.exe --connect port=SWD mode=UR reset=hwRst -halt --erase all --download <path_to_hex> -el <path>/N25Q128A_STM32469I-DISCO.stldrWhich completes erase on internal flash and external flash, but then sits at parsing file. The file I am trying to write is 12.9MB with some flash existing in internal flash space and some flash existing in the hex position that correlates to the mapped memory modes position. If I try to write all of just the external hex (11.8MB), I still experience the same issue. If I crop the hex file into smaller parts, it will program the correct locations in external flash.I can successfully use the ST-LINK Utility with the same external loader to program the same hex file. I require the CLI however, because I require programming this through a script. Is there a known limitation to the hex size the CLI can acc

Hi, apologies in advance for what is probably a very elementary question. I am a clinical physiologist trying to program this unit to record experiments with patients with movement disorders.I have got as far as connecting to the device over the BLE protocol using some simple MATLAB commands to connect to the WeSU characteristic + service. I am trying to transmit a single int using LoRa and the SUBGHZ_PHY middleware. However, I am unsure as to why UART has to be configured under 'Platform Settings', and how I can setup the STM project for this purpose. I am using STM32CubeIDE, and a Nucleo-WL55JC development board. Any help would be appreciated. Other info:Protocol: LoRaFrequency: EU 868MHz

Dear Sir,I have a custom board board with a FW in hand.I am using IAR IDE.What I need to add the output file in configuration and load, run program.Recently I dont have IAR license yet.Could you tell me what to do?

I want to design a modal window to block the screen. Based on the different cases it will display different widgets. I want only to display the widgets without modal window background. But it looks like that the modal window class needs a background to draw its children. Any suggestion? Thanks in advance.

Hi all,I am working with a STM32MP157F-DK2 board, and I am trying to implement a Node-Red web application. I use the Openstlinux Developer package on the board and thanks to the package repository given by ST, I was able to install the NodeJS LTS version and npm. Node-Red works well, I can see all my flows in the web browser. In my application, I would like to use the node-red-node-sqlite node to access a database hosted in the STM32MP157F-DK2. Here is my problem: During the installation process, node-pre-gyp is trying to reach an URL where are stored pre-built binaries. However, this URL returns a "Forbidden access" (see image attached), and so node-pre-gyp calls the compiler of the board to build the necessary files. Thus, I cannot install the SQLite node because it requires a compiler during the installation process, compiler that does not exist on the STM32 board. According to the internet, this error from node-pre-gyp seems to be quite common and I did not find a solution that wor

HelloI would like to use the same UART that is used in SBSFU, to communicate with the host PC for service purposes. Is it possible? Maybe create kind of a wrapper interface like "press 1 for sbsfu, 2 for logs"? A little bit confused how to implement it if possible. It is the only UART available on my custom board, all pins are already used.

Hi, I'm working on a project based on the STM32mp153 MPU with linux OS.I have configured the TF-A module to manage the tamper with timestamp. When the tamper event occurs, it is reported in stdout.I would like to propagate to the kernel and user space the event detected by the TF-A and the possibility of storing the event itself in a system log.Possibly avoiding polling the deletion of the backup registers.Do you have an Application note where a standard Tamper management procedure is described?RegardsRenato Borromeo

I am trying to get the USART3 to work with DMA, and so far have been unable to. After the initial cubeIDE project setup, I verified that standard (non DMA) RX and TX were working fine.Moving to DMA, I was getting Direct Mode Error interrupts, and a little bit of digging showed me that the buffers I was using to send data were located in the DTCM ram. Changing that to move it to the D2 Space (starting at 0x3000000), and verifying the map file, I don't get Direct mode error interrupts, but I get no transmission of any bytes either.Any thoughts or suggestions as to why DMA would not work on usart3? (FYI, I am using DMA successfuly on the SAI peripheral, so I know that DMA2 is working - USART uses DMA1). Thanks

1) I added to folder Core/Inc file my_lib.h2) Added to folder Core/Src file my_lib.cpp3) I added #include "my_lib.cpp" to main.cppIn tmy_lib.cpp I have only one class for testing. This class works with PWM. When I compile project I get errors that such names are not found:TIM_Channel_1, htim, uint32_t, so on...So, it seems that this my_lib.h is compiled first and before default libraries goted by CubeMX. How to solve this problem and to compile added file at the end of the project?
