The code generator is inserting the DMA_Init() and BDMA_Init functions in the wrong place, leaving DMA not working unless I manually move them after every call code generator run.I place them in the USER CODE segment above the INIT segment then remove the auto generated versions each time otherwise DMA doesn't work. /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */ MX_BDMA_Init(); MX_DMA_Init();   /* USER CODE END SysInit */   /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_USART3_UART_Init(); MX_USART2_UART_Init(); MX_TIM2_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); // PLACED HERE BY CODE GENERATOR MX_LPUART1_UART_Init(); MX_BDMA_Init(); // PLACED HERE BY CODE GENERATOR MX_I2C1_Init(); MX_TIM3_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */

I am trying to use the CustomKeyboard provided in TouchGfx for a STM32F769 discovery board (https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/32f769idiscovery.html).How can i resize the keyboard? Is this possible without resizing each key individually?The keyboard seems to have a predefined size of 320x240 which is to small for my board.I tried using the provided methods (setPosition(), setWidth(), setHeight() with invalidate()) for setting the width and height, but it seems not to work as expected.Do i need to resize any single key? How would i do that?

I am currently working on the STM35U5 family using STM32CubeMX, and I see that none of the code generated is using the standard libraries.Why is that? Should I avoid using standard libraries in my application code ?

How fast is DMA on STM32H7 mcus? I didnt find any description on how many ticks takes one transaction. I linked DMA to a timer, transfer from memory to port. With system clock 480 MHz and timer DMA request frequency 40 MHz it doesnt seem to work fast enough. 20 MHz DMA requests works fine...Memory buffer located in SRAM1, DMA1 is used, D-cache disabled.

I have an EV that was converted from internal combustion engine to electric using lead/acid batteries. It's been upgraded to LiOn cells but needs a battery management system to be safe and usable. I know several others with the same need. The L9963 series seems perfect. Is there a reference design or other help available?

Recently I read that iar or Keil are better compiler than GCC. However I can not say the same for the IDE. So I don't want use another ide and I just want to use another compiler. Is that possible?

Hello,I am trying to use touchgfx with a SPI screen. The screen is black and white so i use a single buffer by allocation (it fits in y RAM). The interface is custom because of the spi bus.I am configuring the project with the liked project.ioc file and the software generation of touchgfx is incomplete for a reason that I cannot understand:/** ****************************************************************************** * File Name : TouchGFXGeneratedHAL.cpp ****************************************************************************** * This file is generated by TouchGFX Generator 4.18.0. Please, do not edit! ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * <h2><center>© Copyright (c) 2021 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved.</center></h2> * * This software component is licensed by ST under Ultimate Liberty license * SLA0044, the "License"; You may not use this file except in compliance

there is maybe a mistake at the page 99 in the RM0090 Reference manual document: the bit area 12 is valid or not?

I solved the previous problem with the TouchGFX compile error.Now I have another problem when I run target.Please see the below link that I made it.https://youtu.be/dDcpmdoovik-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------  Flash    make -f ../gcc/Makefile flash    Reading TouchGFX/application.config    Linking TouchGFX/build/bin/target.elf    Producing additional output formats...     target.hex  - Combined internal+external hex     intflash.elf - Internal flash, elf debug     intflash.hex - Internal flash, hex    /usr/bin/sh: line 0: cd: /c/Program Files (x86)/STMicroelectronics/STM32Cube/STM32CubeProgrammer/bin: No such file or directory    c:/TouchGFXProjects/test001/gcc/include/flash_sections_int_ext.mk:2: rec

this may be little weird asking to the big guys. But I'm learning how to produce hard fault so as to debug it again using registers. Also I tried initializing np with NULL. but still no success/* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * <h2><center>© Copyright (c) 2021 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved.</center></h2> * * This software component is licensed by ST under BSD 3-Clause license, * the "License"; You may not use this file except in compliance with the * License. I'm using a STM32H747 DISCO boad and I just want to use the M4 CPU. When start, the M7 configs the Clock and does nothing since then. There is only a simple case running on the M4 CPU. The case takes 200ms on M4 while it took only 20ms on a Risc-v@300Mhz CPU.I use the "-O2" and hardfloat during compiling. But I have no idea what should I do next. Any Ideas?The codes are arrays multiply operation with data of float type.

Hello Community,I am working with "STM32F746G-DISCO" Board, "STM32CubeMX", "STM32CubeIDE", and "TouchGFX Designer" .I would like to program GRAPHICS Data in to "QUADSPI Flash".When i compile firmware in "DEBUG" mode, ".bin" file size = 2.3GB".elf " file size = 5.5MB, But, It works fine for me. GRAPHICS Data are program in QUAD SPI Flash.When i compile firmware in "Release" mode.".bin" file size = 2.3GB".hex" file size = 3.3MB.I made below modification in "Linker Script" file to store data in "QUAD SPI FLASH" QUADSPI (rx)  : ORIGIN = 0x90000000, LENGTH = 16M ExtFlashSection : { *(ExtFlashSection ExtFlashSection.*) *(.gnu.linkonce.r.*)  . = ALIGN(0x4); } >QUADSPI 6. Here, I also attached liker script file. 7. Is there any configuration missed by me or make some wrong implementation. 8. I required ".bin" file in "STLINK" utility while program the external flash because In STLink select the "External Loader" >>"N25Q128A_STM32F746G_DISCO">

I can not even disable default polynom (in case of STM32L412K8Ux):For STM32G071 it allow me to disable default, but it force on some value (probably default) - it does not allow to enter our own.I would like to set 0x8005 polynom in cubeMX instead of editing code later.

Hi,When I set the USB class to anything in CubeMX, the compiler gives me the error - FLASH overflow. It happens even with a completely empty main.c file, so is there a way to make it work, or should I choose MCU with 32kB flash (it will fit then)? The current one has 16kB.

I have my STM32F407VE successfully configured as a slave device. Goal is to emulate a PlayStation 2 controller.Where I am at right now is that I am trying to send a specific order of bytes so I can be sure that before I read and act on the command byte, I am able to properly send the required 5 byte payload. Basically, the console sends 5 bytes with a certain game I use when a controller is connected: 0x01, 0x42, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00. For this game, it never changes since it doesn't need other commands like for analog joystick read and such.So all I do is receive a byte and then pulse the acknowledge line (required so the consoles knows I read it). For each exchange, I send the proper bytes that a real controller would which are: 0xFF, 0x41, 0x5A, 0xFF, 0xFF. Sounds easy enough.When I send with one byte to begin, everything looks good. When I send with two bytes, still looks good. But when I try a 3rd byte, it seems as though the interrupt I have that is triggered from the chip select line

Hi,I attempt to locate information about the firmware in flash. To do so, the data are stored in a dedicated section (called CONTROL_UNIT_SECTION):/** @brief Definition of the firmware info. */ typedef struct firmware_info_t { uint8_t id; /**< Identifier of the control unit. */ uint8_t major; /**< Major version number. */ uint8_t minor; /**< Minor version number. */ uint8_t rc; /**< Release candidate number, 0 if production release. */ } FirmwareInfo;     /* Declare the sections in flash that stores the core configuration. */ #pragma section = "CONTROL_UNIT_SECTION"   #pragma location = "CONTROL_UNIT_SECTION" static const FirmwareInfo firmware_info = { CONTROL_UNIT_ID, FIRMWARE_VERSION_MAJOR, FIRMWARE_VERSION_MINOR, DEVELOPMENT_VERSION };This section is then located in ROM, using the following statements in the linker file :define symbol _CU_INFO_REGION_START_ = 0x0803FFF0; define symbol _CU_INFO_REGION_END_ = 0x0803FFFB;   define region CU_INFO_r

In STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.12.1 the function HAL_SPI_Transmit() increase buffer point per sizeof(uint16_t) when sending data in 8 bits mode; this lead to 1 byte every 2 bytes not being send out. See the below snippet from HAL_SPI_Transmit() /* Transmit data in 16 Bit mode */ if (hspi->Init.DataSize > SPI_DATASIZE_8BIT) { if ((hspi->Init.Mode == SPI_MODE_SLAVE) || (initial_TxXferCount == 0x01U)) { hspi->Instance->DR = *((uint16_t *)hspi->pTxBuffPtr); hspi->pTxBuffPtr += sizeof(uint16_t); hspi->TxXferCount--; } /* Transmit data in 16 Bit mode */ while (hspi->TxXferCount > 0U) { /* Wait until TXE flag is set to send data */ if (__HAL_SPI_GET_FLAG(hspi, SPI_FLAG_TXE)) { hspi->Instance->DR = *((uint16_t *)hspi->pTxBuffPtr); hspi->pTxBuffPtr += sizeof(uint16_t); hspi->TxXferCount--; } else { /* Timeout management */ if ((((HAL_GetTick() - tickstart) >= Timeout) && (Timeout != HAL_MAX_DELAY)) || (Timeout == 0U)) { erro

Nucleo STM32H723ZGCubeMX 6.3.0Cube IDE 1.7.0Package 1.9.0Using CubeMX the UART2 is set up for DMA on transmit and receive. The code is working for transmit and I see data on the scope that matches what is being setup in the buffer. The transmit pin has been connected to the receive pin to loop back the data. The receive buffer after transmitting is not populating with the data. I tried to break point in the receive callback and the code is breaking in the HAL_TIMPeriodElapsedCallback which is just after the UART_DMA callbacks. Inspection of the Listing output reveals that the there is no DMA Callback code for HAL_UART_RXFifoFullCallback and HAL_UART_TxFifoEmptyCallback which explains why the breakpoint is falling through the timer callback fucntion. The optimization is set to -O (none) and I have code in the callbacks. These functions are supposed to overload the _weak function of the same name in the HAL UART code created from CubeMX.What is the deal?

Hi,Using IHM03A1, I try to drive a 48V-9A motor. I've set up the POWERSTEP01 driver in current mode, with default registers values, which works nicely but with low torque. Now I want to increase current up to 9A. I've changed IHM03A1 R1 and R2 resistances to 15mOhm+-1% / 3W ones.According to current mode , I've set ALARM_EN to 0x8F ( disable ADC UVLO, disable stall detection, disable switch).Last thing to do is to increase OCD_TH to enable 9A . But OCD_TH is set in Volt, which resistance value should I use for the convertion. Thanks
