Hello. I have used the STM32MP157A-DK1 this year and I have learned to work with it. Now I develop my own PCB with STM32MP157CAC3. There is a 12-V external power supplier in it. I do't use USB Type-C. Can I do like this? I care about pins USB_PWR_CC1 and USB_PWR_CC2. It seems to me that they will not allow starting the processor without USB.Thanks!

I've created a single pulse that executes for about 150ms. When it's complete I was expecting HAL_TIM_PWM_PulseFinishedCallback() to be called, however, it never is.Doing this:if (HAL_TIM_OnePulse_Start(&htim1, TIM_CHANNEL_1) != HAL_OK) { /* Starting Error */ Error_Handler(); }Then in the main while() loop when a certain condition is met:__HAL_TIM_ENABLE(&htim1);My oscilloscope shows the pulse occurs at the correct time for the correct duration.Why wouldn't the callback execute?Thanks,

Hello,I just got lwIP with PTPd on 2 Nucleo-144 with STM32F767ZI working.Thanks to all the open source people out there!PPS output is also working, I use these signals to check sync quality on a scope.PPS from ETH goes to TIM2 via ITR1 input to TRGO to GPIOB pin 5.So far so good...Now I would like to use that PPS signal internally, but I don't get it to work within timer 2.Neither as a counter reset signal, nor as a clock source for timer 2.First I started using the HAL stuff, then I set all the registers (CR1, SMCR, DIER and more) "manually" - nothing!Is there anything they forgot to mention in the datasheet / ref manual?Right now it seems to me that this PPS signal is only routed to the TRGO output and can NOT be used otherwise by timer 2.Anybody an ideas?Thanks in advance!

We had the following queries:1.Pins LIN is mentioned as active low.Will the low side PWM output from driver be high when input to LIN pin is low?2.VCC is mentioned to be between 10-20V.But all input pins(SD,HIN,LIN) are operating at 5V level.Is there any internal generation of 5V?.   Also should the SD pin be pulled up to an external 5V ?3.Please share the unused pin recommendation for CP+ and CP- pins.4.Can the deadtime be controlled by varying RDT?5.Kindly share the layout guidelines for the ic as well.

Can you describe in more detail the problem of running Android studio to simulate the smartphone platform? Can this method really be realized? Are there any detailed connection steps and suggestions? Can you give me some more specific suggestions. thank you

Hello,I have been using the stm32h757i-eval board for a while. And I want to redirect the printf and scanf functions to the uart. I have referred the forum for the solution but couldn't find any helpful answers . I'm using stm32 cube ide (1.7.0). Kindly help me to perform the same.

I am trying to get values at highest data rate(6.6kHz) from Accelerometer on Serial terminal from SensorTile.box. Sensor - LSM6DSOX Binary - 'DataLogExtended.bin' from FP-SNS-STBOX.I tried using the (void)BSP_MOTION_SENSOR_SetOutputDataRate(AccInstance,MOTION_ACCELERO,6667); API. Adding this function further reduced the number of samples received per second rather.What am I missing here? How to read 6600 samples of ACC data per second?Regards,Aditi Prakash

Hi there,I want to do a printf redirected to a Tera Term using the USART2 on the STM32F407G-Disc1, but it doesn't print while the same code works on the NUCLEO-F401RE. I found this instruction in the user manual UM1472. Does it mean that I have to use two flying wires to connect the U2 pins to the P1 connector pins to make it work ? Thanks for your help

Hi guys,I am struggling for a few days with the MAX31850K (Cold-Junction Compensated, 1-Wire Thermocouple-to-Digital Converters) so I was hoping that some of you might have experienced the same issue.The chip is soldered on my custom PCB (I am not using a development board/kit) and it is controlled by STM32G030 MCU.The current results are following:- Readout of device 64-bit serial number works fine and as expected (it starts with 0x3B.... and this byte exactly tells the device type)- Every data that I am getting from the device is always correct as I always check the CRC- The hardware address which is the part of the configuration register within the scratchpad is also ok and the value as expectedThe issue is the following: The temperature that I am getting back is always zero, but not only that, there is no error bit set (please check the datasheet page 13, table 2). So, even though I disconnect the probe, at least I shall have the open-circuit bit set, but this never happens. So, th

Hi!I am writing data to the ANT7-T ST25DV04K module from my mobile phone using an app. Now I would like to read that data stored in the ANT7-T ST25DV04K module with a microcontroller. The idea is to make a simple program that only reads the data from the module. What commands should I send to read its stored data?

Good day!I need help with ST part identification base on package marking code.It is accelerometer (or IMU), in LGA-12 package, marked with "14J", "UA" (picture attached).Thanks in advance!

I almost migrated all my code from Hal to LL and I am really happy for the execution improvent and better size footprint of the code.However, I can not find a way to make/get a equivalent function as hal_gettick provide me. Usually I use state machine and I control the execution time with a elapsed time from times tick. Is there a equivalent code in LL, or there is a way to make my own implementation. At the moment I am only generating Hal for RCC in order to no disable the HAL library :D :D

I have a question, I am presently working with a bldc motor. And I also did a simulation on matlab.So I observed this:1. when I applied a certain load torque (let’s say 0.4Nm), then I give my controller a set point speed (400RPM) the controller is not able to stabilize the system at the set point instead it stabilizes at a wrong value : but when I change the load torque to a certain value e.g 0.3Nm, the controller is able to stabilize the speed at set point. Do you know why this is so? Does it relate to the torque-speed curve I’m unaware of?2. From the physical experimental setup I made, I am not fixing any load torque to the bldc motor. Also, my present power converter board can only handle up to 16A current, and I even limited the current controller limit to 14A, so that it incases of oscillations or overshoots, the machine won’t draw more than 16A at least, but it still does. The bldc machine itself is rated at 24V, 3200RPM, and 1.7Nm,500W. I really don’t know if they are rated valu

Hi, I would like to use cubeide (MX tool) to generate a project that use EXTI_13 but with IRQ disabled by default. I can choose Enable/Disable (generate all code or none), Create code on MSPInit function or in MX_NVIC_Init, call HAL_GPIO_EXTI_IRQHandler(EOC_MAG_Pin); on EXTI15_10_IRQHandler or doesn't but I can't choose that some IRQ have to start disabled on the generated code.Thank

I have tried to setup a minimal project where I configure the P-NUCLEO-WB55 board to trigger an interrupt (falling edge) when I press a button, that will toggle the blue LED (L1). I tried buttons SW1, SW2, SW3, all have the same problem: when I press the button, sometimes it triggers the IRQ, sometimes it doesn't. It seems when I wait longer between presses, it tends to work more often, when I press multiple times in a row, it almost never detects the presses after the first one.When you hold the finger against the switch contacts from below, you see it toggles the L1 quickly. I can also toggle L1 by pressing my finger on the CN10 pins. Voltage fluctuation seems to be more reliably altered by skin conductivity than button press. This is for all buttons, two different P-NUCLEO-WB55 boards. Basically triggering IRQ works fine except by the buttons.Does anyone else have this kind of problem?

Hi,I am using STM32F746NG discovery board. I try to setup 60 micro second delay. With ST-Link debugger, the 60micro second delay is fine. But when I cycle the power, the firmware does not run.When I comment out the delay function DWT_Delay_us(), firmware runs. Anything wrong?volatile unsigned int *DWT_CYCCNT  = (volatile unsigned int *)0xE0001004;//address of the registervolatile unsigned int *DWT_CONTROL = (volatile unsigned int *)0xE0001000;//address of the registervolatile unsigned int *DWT_LAR   = (volatile unsigned int *)0xE0001FB0;//address of the registervolatile unsigned int *SCB_DEMCR  = (volatile unsigned int *)0xE000EDFC;void DWT_Delay_Init(void){ *DWT_LAR = 0xC5ACCE55; // unlock (CM7) *SCB_DEMCR |= 0x01000000; *DWT_CYCCNT = 0; // reset the counter *DWT_CONTROL |= 1 ; // enable the counter}void DWT_Delay_us( uint32_t us){ uint32_t clk_cycle_start = *DWT_CYCCNT; /* Go to number of cycles

Using SPINFamily Evaluation Tool 3.2, STnucleo-f401re and IHM03A1, I try to drive a 48V-9A motor. In SPINFamily interface, I choosed current mode and tried to set run current to 9A. But an error show up in the interface: "Power dissipation on sense resistor to High for RUN Current".With run current to 7A, all is working fine, but not higher. Do you know why?
