MCU: STM32WLE5CCIDE: Stm32CubeIDE 1.9.0I have generated a project using MX and thought I'd try the generated function for reading the temperature SYS_GetTemperatureLevel().It seemed to output rubbish so I started digging.SYS_GetTemperatureLevel() calls:ADC_ReadChannels(ADC_CHANNEL_TEMPSENSOR);I didnt really understand the macros in the SYS_GetTemperatureLevel() so I wrote an own function, but it doesnt really matter as the error is visible immitiately in the ADC value without calculations.At room-temperature the result from the ADC_ReadChannels(ADC_CHANNEL_TEMPSENSOR); should be close to the calibration value at 30C, but it isnt.I Wrote the following test-code to see the intermediate calculations more clearly.I noted that I started getting sane values (see comments in code) when single-stepping the code and after a while I isolated it to that a 2-3 seconds (!!!) delay between ADC_Enable() and LL_ADC_REG_StartConversion()Seemed to give much saner values (see comments below).It is like

(Environment)MC_SDK 5.Y.3 + STM32CubeMX 6.3.0 with HAL + IAR EWARM 8.5(Hardware)custom board based on F446RE + custom power board(3-shunt) + Low Voltage BLDC motor with Encoder(Control Mode)Speed Control(What I found)In "parameters_conversion.h", there is defined MAX_MODULE as follows:=================================================/* MMI Table Motor 1 MAX_MODULATION_100_PER_CENT */#define MAX_MODULE 32767=================================================If this 100% modulation is used, there might be some moments where low-side duty becomes close to zero (less than dead time). Then the boot capacitors might not be charged properly.Is this value still good as is or need to be modified? If modified, what would be the recommended value?And can it directly modified in "parameters_conversion.h" or by workbench tools?

In the documentation, the file described is generated by IAR embedded workbench. I'm using cubeIDE. Where can I find the mapping file?

Hello. At the moment I am learning about STM32 and UART. I have configured UART4 and I am sending various data. I have connect logic analyzer on RX and TX pins are I am monitoring the signal.I send modbus write holding register message via the UART with the following function:The data I am sending:0x01 0x06 0x0004 0x1234 0x7CC5uint8_t MODBUS_write_holding(uint8_t slave_id,uint16_t start_address,uint16_t value){   HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_15, 1); // ENABLE THE TRANSCEIVER     uint8_t message_buffer[20];   message_buffer[0] = slave_id;   message_buffer[1] = WRITE_SINGLE_HOLDING;   message_buffer[2] = ((uint16_t)start_address >> 8) & 0xFF;   message_buffer[3] = ((uint16_t)start_address >> 0) & 0xFF;   message_buffer[4] = ((uint16_t)value >> 8) & 0xFF;   message_buffer[5] = ((uint16_t)value >> 0) & 0xFF;   uint16_t crc = MODBUS_CRC16_v3(message_buffer,6);   message_buffer[6]

Hi!   I am trying to enable PTP on STM32F157 DK2 evaluation board.   From my understanding, pps_available should return 1, (if configured correctly).   root@stm32mp1:~# cat /sys/class/ptp/ptp0/pps_available 0 I added "linuxptp" to the image: IMAGE_INSTALL_append += " \ linuxptp \ " I tried to follow the instructions for kernel 4.14: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000BMG2RoSQL/how-do-i-enable-linuxptp-pps-output   To enable PPS Out, I also patched stm32mp-mp15-pinctrl.dtsi diff --git a/arch/arm/boot/dts/stm32mp15-pinctrl.dtsi b/arch/arm/boot/dts/stm32mp15-pinctrl.dtsi index 236d77e..1e74905 100644 --- a/arch/arm/boot/dts/stm32mp15-pinctrl.dtsi +++ b/arch/arm/boot/dts/stm32mp15-pinctrl.dtsi @@ -160,6 +160,7 @@ ethernet0_rgmii_pins_a: rgmii-0 { pins1 { pinmux = <STM32_PINMUX('G', 5, AF11)>, /* ETH_RGMII_CLK125 */ + <STM32_PINMUX('G', 8, AF11)>, /* ETH_PPS_OUT */ <STM32_PINMUX('G', 4, AF11)>, /* ETH_RGMII_GTX_CLK */

Hi. I'm working with L9369 H-bridge driver and i want to know how to calculate CRC code in C programming.it's polynomial is X^5+X^2+1 and initial value is 0x1F(1 1111)Do you have any documentation regarding CRC implementation in C code?i got CRC documentable attched document, but i think it's 26 bit and responding CRC value is not matched.2.i want to know X^5+X^2+1 polynomial's CRC Lookup Table and how to use lookup table in C code. i calculated it by manual, and have some result. i want to know i calculate it correctly.0->0x01-> 0x52->0xa3->0xf4->0x145->0x11.....255-> 0x14 3. i want to know how to use lookup table below 2 cases. and sample code.when i try to calucate CRC value with lookup-table, it's result is different to the value calculated by manual.(please let me know how to calculate in case of CRC initial(0x1F) value apply, not apply case)0x1234 ( 0001 0010 0011 0100)0x2D40CFF(0010 1101 0100 0000 1100 1111 1111)4. Hello I'm using a stm32L431. here the documentation :https://www.st.com/en/microcontrollers-microprocessors/stm32l4x1.html#documentationHSI is enabled at 16MHz for USART2, used to receive a 1200Bd signal (7bit data + even parity + 1 stop).I receive wrong characters because of the trim. of parityI already asked a question about the TRIM but that's not the problemhttps://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00001iwHrbSAE/how-to-trim-the-stm32-hsi-easilyI connect a USB converter (With FT232) on the RX of UART2 to send data to the stm32I use CubeMx to configure UART2>> Case 1 that works : (no parity)Configuration by CubeMX : huart2.Instance = USART2; huart2.Init.BaudRate = 1200; huart2.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_8B; huart2.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; huart2.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_NONE; huart2.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_RX; huart2.Init.HwFlowCtl = UART_HWCONTROL_NONE; huart2.Init.OverSampling = UART_OVERSAMPLING_16; huart2.Init.OneBit

I am expecting an answer from an ISO14443-2 Tag with no CRC set, so I want to disable that check. Currently I am doing a rfalTransceive with the following flags ( (uint32_t)RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_CRC_TX_AUTO | (uint32_t)RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_NFCIP1_OFF | (uint32_t)RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_AGC_ON | (uint32_t)RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_PAR_TX_AUTO | (uint32_t)RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_NFCV_FLAG_AUTO \            | (uint32_t)RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_CRC_RX_MANUAL | (uint32_t)RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_CRC_RX_KEEP | (uint32_t)RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_PAR_RX_REMV)As a result I get a return value of ERR_CRC but also the expected length and data inside my provided response Memory. Is this expected behavior and I should just ignore the error code or is there a different flag I should use?

HelloI'm using a stm32L431 with an STLinkV3https://www.st.com/en/microcontrollers-microprocessors/stm32l4x1.html#documentationHSI is enabled at 16MHz for USART2, used to receive a 1200Bd signal.I receive wrong characters because of the trim.I understood the principle of trim and its registers, in particular thanks to this docdm00425536-how-to-optimize-stm32-mcus-internal-rc-oscillator-accuracy-stmicroelectronics-2.pdfMy question: is there a way to adjust this trim automatically via cubeIDE and stlinkV3?Maybe another solution less practical but more practical than a manual adjustment?Thanks in advance

We're starting the development of an Android application based on NFC Tags, so to ensure compatibility with a wide range of smartphones I'd like to know if you have a table of compatibility such as presented on the website below for the Tags ST25TA family:https://www.shopnfc.com/en/content/7-nfc-compatibilityKind regards

Hi, I have shared my project schematic. it's should work or not? (SMPs not used)Problem : BLE cannot advertise, but this configuration in STM32CubeIDE can work with NUCLEO-WB55.

Hi,I'm building a mobile application that integrates with ST25DV64KC and M24LR04E-R.The maximum number of blocks is fixed at 256 for a "Read Multiple Blocks" command on a ST25DV64KC chip.The maximum number of blocks is fixed at 32 assuming that they are all located in the same sector for a "Read Multiple Blocks" command on a M24LR04E-R.Is there a command that returns the maximum number of blocks that can be read at one time, or is there a way I can learn which model of chip I'm reading, so that I can read the correct amount of blocks in a "Read Multiple Blocks" command. I can see some NFC Tag applications show an IC type which displays the model but I am unsure as to how to retrieve this information myself. Any help would be gratefully received.Kind Regards, Sam

Any HW or SW solution?

Hi , i have a couple of questions.Doing initialisation every first power on may cause any error or latency  ?Which clock source use when RTC is powered on VBAT ?Thanks any helps

Hi!Is there anyone could explain how we could set this register to get better range?Thank you.Regards,Albert Tseng

Dear Sir,I am porting RFAL now. Based on 5.8 in UM2890, for HW chip selection, macro ST25R_COM_SINGLETXRX should be set. In st25r3916_com.c, the following code declared a local buffer. #if defined(ST25R_COM_SINGLETXRX) && !defined(RFAL_USE_I2C)static uint8_t comBuf[ST25R3916_BUF_LEN];               /*!< ST25R3916 communication buffer                 */static uint16_t comBufIt;                       /*!< ST25R3916 communication buffer iterator            */#endif /* ST25R_COM_SINGLETXRX */I can understand why such local buffer is need. Is it dependent on some host specification which provide single byte access? If I use a host that support

I have a BLDC Motor which is rated to run at 14S, but the ESC only supports 6S. Can I simply remove the Capacitors and the 10V Buck Converter to something capable of the higher Input Voltage. I'd also swap the VBUS Voltagesplitter to compensate.I would leave the Mosfets, as they are capable of 60V and I'd supply it with up to 58.8V.Is there some complication I am not aware of?Any help is much appreciated

I have a project that contained UI design using TouchGFX. Almost the code auto-generated by TouchGFX for STM32CubeIDE is lay on QSPI external flash. And after built in CubeIDE, I saw .bin file of project around ~2GBSo, I try to relocate all the section pointed to QSPI external Flash to Flash region by using Linker file. After that, .bin file have been built around 900KBSo what is the problem here? why the code lay on QSPI ExtFlash made the ".bin" file too large?

Hello,I am working on the USB DFU for a STM32H7A3ZGT6I have two projects one for the DFU and one with the application to be updated.My application works fine when I download it with the debugger.The DFU part manages to erase and program the new app to the flash (I read it back with the ST link and there is no error nor address shift)However, the app doesn’t work when it is loaded by the DFU program. I jump from the DFU app to the start address of the application which starts but seems to crash at random moments during execution (from seconds to minutes)I have set up the app start app address in the DFU to #define USBD_DFU_APP_DEFAULT_ADD    0x0800C000UThen in the app software I have made the following : In the FLASH.ID:           FLASH (rx)    : ORIGIN = 0x0800C000, LENGTH = 970KIn the system_stm32H7xx.c: #define VECT_TAB_OFFSET 0x0000C000UL I suspected the interruption vector of the DFU app
