Hello, when i select the newer Toolchain "GNU Tools for STM32 (10.3-2021.10)" instead of the one that worked until now "GNU Tools for STM32 (9-2020-q2-update) i get some Linker Errors. The exact same Code builds fine on the older Toolchain but throws those Errors on the newer one.Console Output:23:30:06 **** Incremental Build of configuration Debug for project STM32F030F4P6 ****make -j24 all arm-none-eabi-g++ -o "STM32F030F4P6.elf" @"objects.list" -lstm32f030f4p6 -lcmos0 -mcpu=cortex-m0 -T"C:\Users\Admin\Desktop\Projekte\Embedded\Dev Board STM32F030F4P6\Software\STM32F030F4P6\STM32F030F4P6 Dev Board Linker Script.ld" --specs=nosys.specs -Wl,-Map="STM32F030F4P6.map" -Wl,--gc-sections -nostartfiles -nodefaultlibs -nostdlib -static -L"C:\Users\Admin\Desktop\Projekte\Embedded\DeviceDriver\STM32F030F4P6\API\Lib" -L"C:\Users\Admin\Desktop\Projekte\Embedded\CMOS\API\Lib" --specs=nano.specs -mfloat-abi=soft -mthumb -Wl,--start-group -lc -lm -lstdc++ -lsupc++ -Wl,--end-groupc:\st\stm32cubei

I'm running STM32CubeIDE on a Ubuntu 18.04 system. I've switched it to dark mode for programming, but any "#if" preprocessor directives in the code have a light background. Which, makes it impossible to read. I've looked through all the properties on syntax coloring, and I don't even see a place where I can choose a background color for preprocessor directives.I'd happily install another theme, but I'm not sure how I'm supposed to do that. Here's a screen shot: https://i.imgur.com/CuaDg4E.png

I have to buy a new laptop (HP Pavilion 14-dv2003nl) and it is installed Windows 11. In some old questions (1 year ago) I read that developers of ST haven't yet produced a supported version for Windows 11, but it could work anyway. Is there someone that uses STM32CubeIde on Windows 11 and how works it?

hello, I am connecting the STM32MP157C to the debugger using STDC14 CN1 connector in JTAG mode. Please tell me the pin/signal direction, with regard to the debugger, for the following: Pin 4, T_JTMS Pin 6, T_JCLK Pin 8, T_JTDO Pin 10, T_JTDI   The connection fails using the CubeProgrammer. I get the following message: "ST-LINK error (DEV_UNKNOWN_MCU_TARGET)". On the debugger the PWR led lights green and the COM led lights red. The signals I am using to connect are: T_JTMS, T_JTCK, T_JTDI, T_JTDO (STM32MP157C to debugger) and also providing 3.3V to pin 3, T_VCC and of-course connecting the GND pins. I am not connecting STM32MP NJTRST pin to pin 12, T_NRST in the debugger (the STM32MP has an internal PU on it). The STM32MP157C boot mode is JTAG (although doesn't work in USB boot mode).   What am I missing here?   thanks Gil

Hello,In the wiki I have found these lines:5.3 Non-volatile counters↑Each certificate embeds a non-volatile counter value that is checked to control anti-rollback mechanism. There are two non-volatile counters: - Trusted non-volatile counter - Non trusted volatile counterOn STM32MP1, TAMP monotonic counter is used to store the backup value, which requires backup battery to maintain the content. It is mandatory to align the same value between trusted and non-trusted value as only one counter is used as reference.Source: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/TF-A_BL2_Trusted_Board_Boot#Non-volatile_countersI'm afraid, we are implementing secure boot, but we are not planning to use a battery. VBAT won't be maintained when the board is off. And so content won't be maintained.Instead, we connected VBAT to 3V3 and we added a 100nF decoupling capacitor. What is the impact on the secure boot? Would it be working in that case, even if TAMP is not powered? Thanks,Best regards,Charles

Hi,I am trying to have data at a specific location in flash. To do this I have defined my section in the linker script as follows: .info_data 0x08004674 : { . = ALIGN(4); KEEP(*(.info_data)) . = ALIGN(4); } >FLASHwith FLASH starting at 0x0800 0000 and having a size of 18KB.The data to be placed is defined in a .h file like this: uint32_t volatile const info __attribute__((section(".info_data"))) = 0x12345678;This works, but it causes the file to be significantly larger. If I don't inlcude the data, the hex file ends at address 0x0800 3820, so well within the 18 KB range. However including this data causes the linker to stop with the main code at 0x0800 307C, places info_data at 0x0800 4674 and then places the rest of the code from 0x0800 4678 to 0x0800 4E1C. (I extended FLASH to 20KB size, to test this). Why does the linker leave so much empty space between the start of info_data? Is there anything I can do to minimize this? I tried with -fno-function-sections and -fno-data-sect

I'm writing C++ code wih STM32CubeIDE. Version of IDE is 1.11.0 and it comes with arm-none-eabi-g++ version 10.3-2021.10 . The compiler has some of C++20 features and I'm using them in the code. The problem is some of them are not recognized by the IDE although the code compiles and runs flawlessly.I can give3 examples that STM32CubeIDE has problem with them.Spaceship operatorConceptsConstraints

Hi, we are evaluating the ST25R3916 NFC card emulation solution but we cant find any card emulation related info in the ST25SDK. Please advice. Thanks, Best Regards.

I'm trying to develop a 400V 3 phase inverter for a motor controller. I was looking at TD350E to drive the IGBTs. Can this be used on the high side or in a half bridge configuration?

Hi,I am approaching for the first time with STM32nucleo board and I am using STM32CubeIde. The debug tool provides a simulator to test if the firmware is working properly? I mean a simulation tool like that of MPLAB IDE for PIC microcontrollers which provides a simulation tool in the debug mode. Thank you very much.Regards.

It is written in the STM32U575/585 reference manual (see below) that the data is sent to the external device over the SO(IO0) signal and that The data received from the external device arrives via SI(IO1). Now, SO is known as Slave Out but here it is used as Master out, so I would expect t to be called MOand SI is known as Slave In, and here is used as Master in, so I would expect t to be called MI.Should I disregard the confusing names and use IO0 for MO ad IO1 for MI? Thanks

Is there a list someplace of pre-certified NFC modules which use ST25 chips? Thanks,Scott

I have a circuit with stm32l010f4 that has no ADC pin available because I am using them as digital GPIO, but I need to measure the battery voltage in my application, my question is if Vrefint can be used to make the measurement. I have already made the configuration of Vrefint in stm32cubeide but it only gives me a value of 1.

Hi all,I am working on a university project to build a small IOT camera. I am using the 32F746GDISCOVERY board with the STM32F746NG MCU along with the ov2460 image sensor from WaveShare, and the B-CAMS-OMV board as an adaptor. My code is based on an example for the STMF7508 Disco board, however, I have switched out the ov9655 BSP used in the example for the ov2460 BSP provided by STM.Initially, I am attempting to display a continuous video feed on the LCD screen using the following data path:Image Sensor → DCMI → DMA2 → Camera Frame buffer → DMA2 → LCD Frame bufferI am able to communicate with the image sensor through I2C and successfully read the ID. When the image sensor is initialised, I am receiving frame event callbacks, however, no data is being written to the camera frame buffer. The DMA transfer between the camera frame buffer and the LCD frame buffer seems to be working fine.I am pretty stumped as to why no data is being written to the camera Frame buffer and I have been workin

I have to configure it as a Client. Can please someone help me with the starting guide for the client configuration like how to establish connection with server and how to write attribute to server, everywhere I found only starting guide for server only.Thank You,Arief

Hello, I can't get a current lower than 108µA in stop1 mode. It's expected 3µA in the datasheet.I set all pin in analog input mode, disable the debug in low power mode.I try with the NUCLEO Board as explain in the article number n°2190.I also removed all JP2 jumpers to decrease the current consumption of the shift level.Has anyone always succed to get 3µA in stop1 mode with this MCU.Thanks,

I would like to ask if someone has a code for the implementation of the RFAL and NDEF libs for X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1 NFC Card Reader? Hope you can send me the sample code because it is really hard to port the Middleware to Mbed Studio.
