AN4718 "How to design a V BAT system based onSTM32L0/L1 ..."Case 1b, it is stated, quote:"V DD /V DDA can also be switched to V BACKUP when STM32L0/STM32L1 MCU goes into STOP mode, to allow user to remove main supply in very safe way."End quote.Question: What does that mean "very safe" ?What is the exact purpose of that PMOS switch ?Is is to prevent the supercap current going to a battery pin ?What is unsafe if not used ?

Hello, I want to compare text area content with enum TEXTS. How can I do this?

Hi,I wanted to know how can we change the values of prescaler and counter period for a timer in STM32 using the code and not the UI. Please help.

Hello,After prototyping with a Nucleo H7 board, I'm setting now up a custom board with a STM32H723ZGT6 MCU (the same MCU present on the Nucleo).I connected my USB Dongle ST-Link V2 via SWD to program the MCU and after having struggled a bit, I have finally come to a working setup but with quite slow frequency 100 Khz as solution. Increasing the frequency leads to impossibility to erase, to download my program or sometime to generate inconsistency errors between what is downloaded and the original code.At 100Khz debugging is a bit of a challenge so i need to speed it up if possible.Anyway what is stressing me is that I don't understand if that's normal or not...In terms of the SWD my setup is: SWDCLK and SWDIO connected directly to the dongle, RST connected with a 10k resistor between the dongle and the MCU, gnd and VDD connected to 3.3V on the board.The St-Link V2 dongle framework is updated to last version.Config of SWD is:1) frequency 1002) mode Normal3) Access point 04) Reset mode H

TouchGFX 4.21I have defined a user container: "Selection".The container contains two buttons: switchToScreenOne and switchToScreenTwo.I have also defined an interaction for each button that changes the screen. I have defined two screens: One, Two.Both screens contain the container "Selection1"The process works fine. Question: How can I set the color of the buttons in the containers in the ScreenOneView::setupScreen() function?I have already tried everything and just can't find the solution.

I'm using a nucleo f401re with a lps25hb. Currently I'm getting very wrong values, this is caused by the reading of the registers. For example when I call the registers of temperature which is composed by two bytes HAL_I2C_Mem_Read(&hi2c1, LPS25HB_I2C_ADD_H, LPS25HB_TEMP_OUT_L,         I2C_MEMADD_SIZE_8BIT, bufp, 2, 1000);It only reads the LPS25HB_TEMP_OUT_L to the bufp p array. If I call the two registers LPS25HB_TEMP_OUT_L and LPS25HB_TEMP_OUT_H separately, it works fine. Therefore I doubt I missed something in the auto-incremental register address setting of the sensor.Thx in advance.

Hi,I am using STM32H745BIT6 controller and wish to use the external flash memory as a mass storage device. The external flash memory is connected on QSPI.The application would be, user will connect the USB cable to PC and PC should be able to show the external QSPI flash as a drive on PC i.e. as a mass storage device. Is this possible with STM32H745BIT6 device?. Please point me to some examples which can be refered.ThanksAnuj.

Hi there,I am having trouble with CubeIDE: When building my project i get the following error:"fatal error: core_cm4.h: No such file or directory"I am using:MCSDK 5.Y.1STM32CubeMXSTM32CubeIDE 1.6.1STM32F302R8 NucleoBoardX-NUCLEO-IHM07M1 motor driverSPI-Sensortwo external buttonsWhat I did to get to this point:Generated the project via MotorControl Workbench and CubeMX --> project is for a Motor Control applicationModified the project with CubeMX: added few GPIO Inputs and Outputs, added a Timer (TIM16) and SPI2Added the Project to the CubeIDE workspaceadded some own Codehit buildgot the error: "fatal error: core_cm4.h: No such file or directory"tried to add the include path manually --> did not workHope someone can help me on thisGreetings MM1

My code is simply :HAL_Delay(100); HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOA,GPIO_PIN_5);   uint8_t buffer[] = "Hello, World!\r\n"; CDC_Transmit_FS(buffer, sizeof(buffer));But nothing...> The led is blinking.> The VCp is define via *.IOC with no error.> Compilation without error.I see a VCP but i think is the st-link debugger VCP.It's right ?Do you have advice for me ?

I just migrated to the latest v1.11 of STM32CubeIDE.I was able to update successfully to the latest version, but now my environment is broken!Issues I see now: Build an stack analyzer gives the following output:Could not create the view: com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.stackanalyzer.stackanalyzer.viewUnable to open the dedicated .ioc file:Gives an NullPointerExceptionAlso I'm unable to restore my environment downloading the latest installer file. The website is having issues and I'm unable to login / download content disappears after login. Please ST help me with an urgent workaround!EDIT: Website back online, "solved" by using the installer of v1.11. Please fix this ST!Regards,

why you have enabled crc for mp3 player in your examples ?What is its purpose?uint32_t Mp3Process_DecoderInit(uint8_t* pHeader, fnReadCallback_TypeDef* pReadCallback, fnSetPositionCallback_TypeDef* pSetPosCallback) { __IO uint16_t time_out = 1153; uint8_t tmpBuffer[10]; uint8_t nb_frame = 0;   uint32_t i;   /* Enable the CRC */ #ifdef STM32F10X_CL RCC_AHBPeriphClockCmd( RCC_AHBPeriph_CRC, ENABLE); #else RCC->AHB1ENR |= RCC_AHB1ENR_CRCEN; #endif /* STM32F10X_CL */

I'm very new to the STM32 and am trying to set up TIM2 to trigger a dma input capture to memory. I have been pouring over examples and the STM32F302R8 ref manual but am not there yet.What is working is I am inputting 30Hz ref signal on both PA5 and PB10 (TIM2_Ch1 & TIM2_Ch3). These are being detected and I see the CCR1 and CCR3 registers reflecting the capture count.What is not working is I don't seem to be generating (or servicing) a DMA request. In my code I am using HAL_DMA_Start and __HAL_TIM_ENABLE_DMA for both DMA channels 1 & 3 on the TIM2. The respective memory buffers are buffer1 and buffer2 in SRAM. I initialize these to 0xdead at reset and see them get updated once after the DMA is enabled and the TIM2 capture/compare is enabled, but after that the buffer never gets updated again.Also in the TIM2 SR register the CC10F and CC13F overflow flags are set, and my two DMA IRQ routines never get triggered.Am I missing a critical enable somewhere?I've seen in some discussion

I observed the data on both MOSI and MISO on logic analyzer, even when I use only one of the HAL_SPI_Transmit() or HAL_SPI_Receive(), why?

Hi, there!Please help me !!!I am testing Timer cascading with F411 Back pill on STM32CubeIDE.TIM2 [Master] ---> TIM5 (or TIM9) [Slave]There is no description on Periphral Interconnect Matrix feature in the STM32F4 manual (RM390), but I found the same in that of G4 (RM0440).According to the manual, TIM2 sends its TRGO to ITR1 channel.However, in my case, it does not work with ITR1 and I need to use ITR0 instead of ITR1.More over, if I use ITR1 (in TIM5), TIM2 [Master] does not work.(Using ITR2 and ITR3 will not affect to TIM2, but TIM5 does not get clock from TIM2.)Please help,1) Does anyone know the Periphral Interconnect Matrix feature for STM32F4? Where can I get the Info.?2) Can some of you check if the phenomenon above is common to other MCU or not? (Please see the working code below.)Thank you very much for your kind help in advance. I am attempting to get the display example running on a nucleo board. I am following this document:um2787-getting-started-with-the-xcubedisplay-stm32cube-expansion-package-stmicroelectronics.pdfI am getting the following issues and I don't know how to resolve them:I tried to click the resolve button but it resulted in more yellow triagles and this when I closed the component selector.The document doesn't describe what to do if it doesn't go as planned. It also describes the setup for a different Eval board. However it states both in the start of the document and on the webpage for the display expansion that this should work for the nucleo board. I'm fairly new to STs tools so I have no idea how to resolve these. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am using some UTF-8 characters in my code that shows messages to the user, and some of them get converted to some other code page when I regenerate the code. This happens when generating code both from CubeIDE ioc editor and CubeMX.This is how my code looks before generation:And after generation: The characters ?, Ę and Ń get messed up.CubeIDE version: 1.11.0CubeMX version: 6.7.0

I am building a mobile application with react native using ST25DV04KC. I am trying to read 900 blocks with ISO15693 technology, but the readmultipleblocks method does not read more than 255 blocks. Which function can I use related to the subject or how ca var count = Math.floor((endBlock - beginBlock) / 62); console.log('/62'); for (let i = 0; i < count; i++) { var _tmp; var deger; _tmp = await NfcManager.iso15693HandlerIOS.readMultipleBlocks({ flags: Nfc15693RequestFlagIOS.HighDataRate, blockNumber: i * 62 + beginBlock + i, blockCount: 62, });Here are the codes I use. Can you help with the subject?

I'm developing SPI driver for Nucleo-H753ZI so Nucleo-H753ZI will be SPI master. It'll be connected to DAC which is slave. As of now I'm using STM32HAL drivers to configure Nucleo-H753ZI as a Master. After configuration I've tried to transmit buffer (having 3 elements). Still I've not added Slave code in master, instead I tried to scope in data sent through MOSI through a logic analyzer. I was seeing MOSI line value as 0x00. When I kept a break point in HAL_SPI_Transmit() function I'm able to observe that the data written to TXDR register is 0 eventhough the buffer is passed to HAL_SPI_Transmit() function? I'm wondering TXDR wasn't written with correct value? Can anyone help me on this?/* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2022 STMicroelectronics. * Al

Hello,I am having a problem with CubeIDE (1.11.0). I hope you can help me.Although I didn't encounter any issue with Keil uvision, I keep getting the "no st-link detected" error when trying to debug through the CubeIDE.I am not using the ST-Link/V2.Instead, I use stm32vldiscovery to program the blue pill (f103c8..) via SWD connector on the discovery board. As I mentioned, I have no problem with programming the blue pill on Keil, but whenever I want to switch to CubeIDE, I can't go any further. Could you help me, please?Best Regards,Caner

Heyho,I am really a little confused by ST's documentation vs. comments here and elsewhere, so in hope of finding someone with first hand experience:Which STM32H7 can use external memory-mapped Octo-/Quad-SPI RAM via DMA with the Ethernet and SAIs ?My "candidates": H723, H725, H733, H735H743 & friends has no Q/O-SPI SRAM interface, and if possible I want to avoid the 2-core H7s.I need this data flow:SAI (RX) -> DMA -> ext. Q/O-SPI-SRAM -> DMA -> ETHThanks in advance!
