Solved

I have a design that uses and STM32L4 series MCU. The device will be hard to physically access, but has a serial connection to the 'outside' world on UART 4. The board also has a 4 Mbit flash connected to the MCU via (bit-banged) SPI.When I need to update the FW in the MCU I'd like be able to send the binary file down the serial connection, store it in the external SPI flash, verify the download is good, and then copy flash the MCU FLASH so that the next boot up will be with the new FW. Can someone please first verify if this is possible, and second point me to some resources on how to implement it?Thanks!

When reading from the sd card is completed, HAL_SD_RxCpltCallback is executed. But when I use the HAL_Delay() function within the callback, the rest of the code within the callback after that delay doesn't run.Any information about this issue is greatly appreciated.

I looked at the pages for both MCUs side-by-side:https://www.st.com/en/microcontrollers-microprocessors/stm32f407ze.html/https://www.st.com/en/microcontrollers-microprocessors/stm32f407ve.htmlI can detect no difference other than the Z vs. V in the name. What are actual differences?

I already spend many hours trying to figure out why flashing the nucleo does not work. What i found out so far:ST-LINK_gdbserver.exe is not started from IDE. Starting it with the copied commandline, it only works with a port other than the default one. When it is started, the LED of the nucleo starts flashing green/red (!).I can launch stlinkserver and gdb server, so that they are running, but still i got the problem. I already tried many options as openOCD, checking the ST-LINK S/N box and scan inserted a longer number. Also tried all resetbehaviours. Log to file did not create a file from gdb-server and shared ST-LINK did not change the outcome.Changing the frequency did not work either. The firmware of the stlink is V2.J42.M27.Also i updated the firmware to exclude mass storage.stlinkserver is started from the IDE with "-a -p7184".This error message is really lacking with some more details. Maybe there is a log for it somwhere?

Hello!I'm getting the error: INTERNAL ERROR: list index out of range when uploading an onnx model to STM32Cube.AI and run analysis. I would appreciate if anyone could help to figure out what could be the problem? I attach my model below in case someone can help me. Thanks in advance. Regards!

I want to replace STM32L083RZH6 with STM32L083RZH3 and I suppose it's safe, but I cannot find information about the difference in the Datasheet.

I know that "CFG_TASK_SW1_BUTTON_PUSHED_ID" was set in the header file (/app_conf.h), but just set, no morein the Datasheet the button for Nucleo board SW1 connected to a PC4 pin, but in CubeMX for project "p2p_server" I didn't find any mentions about the button SW1 so, How I can in the custom project to set the variable - "CFG_TASK_SW1_BUTTON_PUSHED_ID" for input PC4 or PC5for example, see the code here https://github.com/DavidStdio/STM32WB55_MEMS/blob/3036daab25fe711a5f2f7b37b1537f762bb832ea/Src/p2p_server_app.c

I design a custom board including a stm32wb15ccu where I want to use the I2C bus. I have for SDA and SCL 10k pull up resistors. However when launching i2c the signal of SDA and SCL remain at 3.3V, no bus signal. Hence I could not communicate between the MCU and its slaves. pin 5 is SCL and pin 6 is SDA. What I did so far to get the cause:Connected an external nucleo to the i2c pin headers , this worked perfectly fine. Resoldered the MCU chip multiple timesDesoldered the pull up resistors, if somewhere 3V3 is shorted to the i2c. What I found interesting when desoldered the pull up resistors the voltage of the i2c is still at 0.2V instead of zero. What I suppose a possible cause:Partly damage of the MCUDesign error, wrong pin selected for I2C on the WBTThanks in advance for any help

I'm trying to configure the DCMI pheriferal of the STM32F746-Discovery and in AN5020 PDF i find that exist some examples implemented in STM32CubeMx. Where i can find it? I don't find the examples in the STM32Cube examples.Foto of the AN5020 examples:

I am using STM32H503.I want to receive only incoming ids as 0x222 using masking .If set like the code below, IDs other than 0x222 are also entered into the rx callback function. Is there something wrong with the masking process?FDCAN_FilterTypeDef sFilterConfig;   sFilterConfig.IdType = FDCAN_STANDARD_ID; sFilterConfig.FilterIndex = 0; sFilterConfig.FilterType = FDCAN_FILTER_MASK; sFilterConfig.FilterConfig = FDCAN_FILTER_TO_RXFIFO0; sFilterConfig.FilterID1 = 0x222; sFilterConfig.FilterID2 = 0x7FF;   if(HAL_FDCAN_ConfigFilter(&hfdcan1, &sFilterConfig) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }

Dear, FDCAN does not work. Please advise if there is any problem in the entire code below. The set clock of FDCAN is 48Mhz and each setting is as follows. When the code is executed, Tx is transmitted once every 4 seconds in the while loop. However, if Tx is entered about 4 times, it always falls into Error_Handler.Error returns Error at the bottom of HAL_FDCAN_AddMessageToTxFifoQ function.HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_FDCAN_AddMessageToTxFifoQ(FDCAN_HandleTypeDef *hfdcan, const FDCAN_TxHeaderTypeDef *pTxHeader,   const uint8_t *pTxData)   {   ///////////////////////////////////////////// Skip   if (hfdcan->State == HAL_FDCAN_STATE_BUSY)   {   /* Check that the Tx FIFO/Queue is not full */   if ((hfdcan->Instance->TXFQS & FDCAN_TXFQS_TFQF) != 0U)   {   /* Update error code */   hfdcan->ErrorCode |= HAL_FDCAN_ERROR_FIFO_FULL;       return HAL_ERROR;   }   ////////////////////////////////////////

I'm wondering whether there is a DMA channel to transfer a received message from the CAN fifo to a memory location. Is it possible at all to get DMA working with the CAN controller?Kind regards,Stefan

Is the B-G474-DPOW1 demo board source code available for download?

Greetings !I am working on STM32H743 EVK and I could successfully compiled and executed the sample TCP Echo Server application over Threadx . But here DHCP IP is assigning . Please help me out to make IP as static IP.Thanks in Advance

I am trying to connect to the WFM200 wifi module over SDIO. I am using the SDMM peripheral library/code for this. However, in the selection in CubeMX there is only the options for SD and MMC but no SDIO.Which option should I choose for using SDIO with the WFM200?

I am currently working on an RTOS application that includes RTC, and have observed that there is a clock drift of approx. 25 to 32 seconds after a 24-hour measurement cycle. Additionally, the drift seems to be not linear.I've measured the RTC frequency and it was around 32.78KHz.I would appreciate if anyone could provide any suggestions on how to improve the RTC performance.

In the middle of function returns HAL_ERROR.stm32cubewl_v1-1-0 - the function works well.

Hello,We have a software project with STM32H7B3 MCU using SBSFU for bootloader and installing updates. We are using one download slot and one active slot and have been very tight on flash size and have often had to reduce binary size. Normally, this is not a problem since we get a compilation error from the linker script when binary size becomes too big. In the linker script we have:ISR_VECTOR_START = __ICFEDIT_SLOT_Active_1_start__ + 0x400; /* Cortex-M7: align the init vectors on 0x400 */ APP_ROM_START = ISR_VECTOR_START + VECTOR_SIZE; APP_ROM_END = __ICFEDIT_SLOT_Active_1_end__; APP_ROM_LENGTH = APP_ROM_END - APP_ROM_START + 1;   /* Specify the memory areas */ MEMORY { DTCMRAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 128K RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x24000000, LENGTH = 1024K ITCMRAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x00000000, LENGTH = 64K ISR_VECTOR (Rw) : ORIGIN = ISR_VECTOR_START, LENGTH = VECTOR_SIZE APP_ROM (rx) : ORIGIN = APP_ROM_START, LENGTH = APP_ROM_LENGTH }This makes APP_ROM_END equal to 0x08

I need detailed informations about registers and timers but i can't find the reference manual of the stm32wb5mm discovery board.

I am facing an issue where the binary output of my STM32CubeIDE project built on Linux and Windows is inconsistent. I have installed STM32CubeIDE Version 1.6.1 and the fixed Toolchain: GNU Tools for STM32 (7-2018-q2-update) on both platforms. Upon comparing the makefiles, I found that they match, but the resulting binaries do not.Can you suggest steps that I can take to ensure consistent binary output on both platforms? Additionally, which files should I compare to troubleshoot the issue?

We am using the Murata 1SJ which has a STM32L072CZ MCU and internal LSE, We trying to decode a UART stream from a Ublox GPS device using the LPUART in STOP mode. BAUD 9600 8 bits, 1 stop, no parity, all standard stuff. When i clock the LPUART with HSI16, everything works...When i clock the LPUART with LSE, on occasion the first bit is missing. Without it the whole packet is lost. Maybe 1 in 10 packets this happens. I'm getting 0x94 instead of 0xB5. The LSE is giving us a rock solid 32,768Hz.Anyone have any tips or next steps to try here?
