STM32L476ZGT3 processorSTM32IDE 1.12.0STM32MX 6.8.0Once I updated the IDE, the system locks on the LL_PWR_IsActiveFlag_VOS() under the stm32l4xx_II_pwr.h file (Through the SystemClock_Config() section).I updated the file location by creating a new project and copying my files into the directory.When debugging, the cursor jumps from the end of file bracket "}" to the return function and won't go further.__STATIC_INLINE uint32_t LL_PWR_IsActiveFlag_VOS(void){ return ((READ_BIT(PWR->SR2, PWR_SR2_VOSF) == (PWR_SR2_VOSF)) ? 1UL : 0UL);}

Hello,is there a method to get the RGB value of the touchpoint of the display?And if not how would a workaround look like?Thanks and Best regardsGerd

Hi,I'm trying to use LSM6DSO32X to detect a short (<5ms) event isolated by at least 100ms from other events (before and after). It's on the Y axis and with a threshold of 500mg. I'm not having any luck setting up a single TAP event or by using FSM. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi,Overall I liked the H5, lots of memory, lots of performance, 64-pin Ethernet, etc. I was only disappointed with the fact that it doesn't have HRTIM and only two AD converters. In addition to much more performance I expected analogue integration at least compared to the G4. Could someone from ST tell us if there are plans for a mixed-signal H5 with HRTIM?

Hello,I think I found an error in the AN2867 and just wanted to confirm it, before we hack around in hardware.We use an H7 with an external LSE. Fate landed us on the ABRACON ABS05-32.768kHz with 12.5pF. According to AN2867 it is suitable for the H7 and many others. Due to problems with the clock (which are not surprising NOW) I digged deeper into it and the H7 with LSE max drive is only suitable for a maximum critical crystal gain of 2.7, with the Abracon having a gain of 2.90612. And, in fact, all other oscillator with a gain of >2.7 are only compatible with the F0 and F3. So, am I on the right track with this being an error in the application note?Best wishesChristoph

Hello, I'm practicing the "Point to Point Phy layer application lab" in the "MOOC STM32WL workshop" series.After downloading the material and opening the project with CubeIDE and building the project, everything is fine. however, when I try to add a peripheral like the I2C and generate the code, I always get a Board-Spesifications error. For example, The Macro "RF_FREQUENCY_ERROR" was defined before the regeneration of the code.I tried to delete the redundant files but it still doesn't work. i went around this by defining the peripheral manually and so far it's working, however it would be nicer and faster to have CubeMX working since the project is getting bigger.Thank you

Hi, I have a board that has STM32H750VBT mcu. When i try to reset the uC using IWDG, WWDG or CMSIS SYSTEMRESETREQ device is not reset as expected. I want the mcu to start the application as expected but it is not starting. With debugger or without debugger behavior is the same. When i use debugger to observe the behavior after reset command, PC goes to 0x1FFFxxxx and incrementing as time passes. And at the same time stack is overflowwing.When i look at the NRST pin of the uC, i can see the NRST goes low for at least 30uS and then slowly increasing. There is a photo attached.I really need to figure out this and make the mcu reset properly.Any help will be appriciated.All the bests,EDIT -----I connect the BOOT pin to ground permanently, and the problem is SOLVED. Thanks anyway.

In my opinion there are two bugs HAL_RTC_SetTime(..) (p. 776) and HAL_RTC_GetTime(..) (p. 881)./* Check Binary mode ((32-bit free-running counter) */if (READ_BIT(RTC->ICSR, RTC_ICSR_BIN) != RTC_BINARY_ONLY)should be RTC_BINARY_ONLY instead of RTC_BINARY_NONE.

In spite to the reference manual of the STM32G071CBT6 the unique ID is not described in the reference manual of the STM32G0x0 series, but its address is defined in the header file (stm32g070xx.h).Now I wonder if it is missing in the reference manual or if the header file is wrong.Does someone know if the STM32G070CBT6 has the unique ID (UID_BASE)?

I work on a project with STM32F767ZI that uses 3 CAN buses and require them to be turned ON and OFF at specific times to save power.However, code generated by STM32CubeFW_F7 V1.16.1 (latest version at the time of posting) generates questionable(or even completely wrong) code that manages RCC APB clock enable bits.Let's take a look at can.c (code is slightly redacted to save space in the post, the full file is attached) generated by CubeIDE: static uint32_t HAL_RCC_CAN1_CLK_ENABLED=0; static uint32_t HAL_RCC_CAN3_CLK_ENABLED=0; static uint32_t HAL_RCC_CAN2_CLK_ENABLED=0;   void HAL_CAN_MspInit(CAN_HandleTypeDef* canHandle) {   GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0}; if(canHandle->Instance==CAN1) { /* CAN1 clock enable */ HAL_RCC_CAN1_CLK_ENABLED++; if(HAL_RCC_CAN1_CLK_ENABLED==1){ __HAL_RCC_CAN1_CLK_ENABLE(); } /* GPIO init here */ } else if(canHandle->Instance==CAN2) { /* CAN2 clock enable */ HAL_RCC_CAN3_CLK_ENABLED++; if(HAL_RCC_CAN3_CLK_ENABLED==1){

Hello All,We are using STM32G041F8P6 in our project. This IC will be programmed through I2C/USART and we will be using System Memory for booting(internal flash).As per the datasheet:At startup, the boot pin and boot selector option bit are used to select one of the three bootoptions:• boot from User Flash memory• boot from System memory• boot from embedded SRAMCan you please let me know where I can find the info about Boot0 pin and Boot bit setting to boot from internal flash memory?Thank you

I'm working with the LIS2DH accelerometer and I'm trying to obtain acceleration data at a rate of 100 Hz. However, I've noticed that the accelerometer interrupts have a frequency of 99 Hz. Also this frequency changes if I use another accelerometer of the same model.I'm curious to know what kind of clock the accelerometer is using and what error is causing this discrepancy in the sampling frequency. What percentage of error in frequency is expected?Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

We are using STM32Cube_FW_H7 latest version and faced the similar problem happened on STM32Cube_FW_L4 which is discussed here. We use two Octo SPI with one running in Octo memory mapped mode and one running in Quad SPI direct mode. Firstly, we configured the Octo mode IO ports with HAL_OSPIM_Config and then configured the Quad SPI. If we configure Octo only, the Octo memory mapped mode works well. However, If we configure Quad SPI as well, the first Octo configuration got corrupted.Does someone face the same problem? I suspect that the similar bug exists in Cube_FW_H7 like the one in STM32Cube_FW_L4.

I have a project which has the requirement of BLE and USB in CDC mode. The implementation is done with the FreeRTOS. BLE and USB are working independently, but when I integrate both of them in a single project then there are some issues which are being faced mentioned below.Whenever the controller is programmed, then the USB is enumerating and it is working properly. During this, the BLE is not advertising. When there is a reboot triggered, the USB device is not recognized but the BLE is advertising.APPE_SysUserEvtRx callback function is not triggered from the shci_init function. The event to trigger this function is not generated.Microcontroller - STM32WB55VGYXUsing the BLE full stack v1.15 with the FUS v1.2.0USB is using the PLLSAI1Q clock source with the frequency of 48MHz.CPU2 is operating with the frequency of 32MHz.Main core is operating at 64MHz frequency.

Posted on September 26, 2017 at 02:56Hi there,I am attempting to get an STM32F411CE microcontroller to interface with a BNO055 IMU using the I2C peripheral. This particular IMU uses clock stretching which doesn't seem to work with the HAL_I2C library that was auto-generated from STM32CubeMX. See image below:I attached a second I2C device to the bus and was able to communicate with the library so I'm pretty sure it is only the clock stretching that is causing an issue.As a reference, here is a waveform of an Atmel microcontroller interfacing with the same BNO055 device and it appears to be working as intended: Any ideas on what could be causing this issue? Thanks,Kyle

I am having a bug with Touchgfx designer. The pop up message asks to kindly report the issue. However, I am unable to find a palce to report and add my .log file.

I'm using STM32L432KC on Nucleo-L432KC board with the following set up:I2C -- PB6=I2C1_SCL, PB7=I2C1_SDASPI -- PA1=SPI1_SCK, PA11=SPI1_MISO, PA12=SPI1_MOSI, PB0=software CS for SD card readerEXTI - PB1=EXTI1It all works fine until I want to configure another CS pin for second SPI device using PA6 or PA5.Please note that nothing is connected yet, I am merely configuring a new PIN in this way - as push-pull, pull-up, and outputting high: /*Configure GPIO pin Output Level */ HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_5, GPIO_PIN_SET);   /*Configure GPIO pin : PA5 */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_5; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_PP; // Change to GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_OD GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_PULLUP; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_VERY_HIGH; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOA, &GPIO_InitStruct);This I have isolated to cause I2C1 peripheral to hang (waiting for TC flag to be cleared) while taking with the connected devices.I have noticed the following:If I apply the exact same

HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA() can lead to non-functional DMA when the following happens:RX DMA state readyTX DMA state busyHAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA() gets calledThe result is that RX DMA will become busy and never recovers due to the logic in lines 2413 to 2470 in stm32h7xx_hal_spi.c.A fix would be to insert a HAL_DMA_Abort_IT(hspi->hdmarx); into the the if-condition in lines 2458 to 2470 to abort the previously started RX DMAGreetings

Hello! I am working on PWM generation using several timers, in this case: TIM3, TIM4, TIM8, TIM15. I have gotten TIM3, TIM4 and TIM8 to work perfectly. I am currently testing this on a STM32F3DISCOVERY board. TIM15 however, does not behave properly for me. It uses the same code as for the other general purpose timers I use (Besides the code for CCR3 and CCR4 of course.In this case, I use PF9 and PF10 with AF3 enabled. The registers show that AF3 is selected for these. RCC Configuration:RCC_APB2PeriphClockCmd(RCC_APB2Periph_TIM15, ENABLE);   RCC_AHBPeriphClockCmd((RCC_AHBPeriph_GPIOF), ENABLE);GPIO configuration:GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct;   GPIO_PinAFConfig(GPIOF, GPIO_PinSource9, GPIO_AF_3); GPIO_PinAFConfig(GPIOF, GPIO_PinSource10, GPIO_AF_3);   GPIO_StructInit(&GPIO_InitStruct); GPIO_InitStruct.GPIO_Pin = GPIO_Pin_9 | GPIO_Pin_10; GPIO_InitStruct.GPIO_Speed = GPIO_Speed_50MHz; GPIO_InitStruct.GPIO_OType = GPIO_OType_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.GPIO_Mode = GPIO_Mode_

I am using the STM32WLE5CC ship on a RAK3172 module.I am not using the HAL but writing directly to the PKA RAM and registers, to perform a standard Modular Exponention (normal mode) as described in section 22.4.6 of the manual.The PKA clock has been enabled for normal and sleep mode.I write the exponent and exponent length, the operand and operand length, and the modulus to the PKA RAM, ensuring I am ending with a 32 bit word set to zero as described by section22.4.1.I set the PKA Control Register "Start" bit, after ensuring that the "mode" has been set to zero (Montgomery parameter computation then modular exponentiation) and the enable flag is still set.After setting the start bit in the CR, the "Busy" bit in the status register goes high, as expected.I poll the status register every 10 microseconds, waiting for it to change - the Busy bit should go to 0 and the PROCENF flag should go high, but it never changes, even after several hours.I can read back the registers and RAM and they

Hello everyone. I'm trying to use the TIM6 as a timer at 1 kHZ. However the result I get is 500 Hz. I couldn't figure out why. I maxed the CPU clock speed at 168kHZ, which gives me the result of 84MHz APB1 Timer Clock. I calculated the auto reload value using 1000 = 84000000/((PSC + 1) * (ARR + 1)) and got PSC=1 and ARR= 41999Could you please tell me what I have done wrong in this setup?

Hi all,I need to control 3 BLDCs on one board. I found that in order to precisely control BLDCs, you need a board with special motor control timers. I have only been able to find boards with two of these timers (Example NUCLEO-H745ZI-Q) but I need one with THREE. Thank you in advance.
