Hi all, for minimum wake time I want to use UDP with DTLS.However, I wonder if it is OK to keep the Socket open for a longer time (not closing it ever)? Even during PSM?Opening the DTLS-Sockets costs 2 seconds (handshake) and energy, for a Raw-Socket it is almost zeroDTLS: Init->Wait->Use[000000]> AT#SOCKETCREATE=5,0,UDP,0,60,60,9,0,0[000116]< #SOCKETCREATE: 0[000118]< OK[000000]> AT#DTLSCONNECT=5,0,xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx,pppp[002011]< #TLS: 3,0x00A8,2048,0[002012]< OK[000000]> AT#IPSENDUDP=5,0,xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx,pppp…Raw[000011]< #SOCKETCREATE: 0[000012]< OK[000000]> AT#IPSENDUDP=5,0,xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx,pppp…Thanks for any helpful infos,Jo

3x VL53L0X shows no readings For an application I need 3 VL53L0X TOF sensors. The code can be used to successfully boot the three sensors. However, only the third sensor provides a measured value. If the sensors are used individually, boot and measurement is OK.Do sensor 1 and sensor 2 have to be activated by function

Hi listI am testing the STM32MP135d-odyssey for a project. It is small, still cheap, has support for POE and on board ethernet connectors and SD-card holder. The buildroot repositories are quite old so I wonder if the board is in actual use and can be recommended for new projects? The xogium repository seems very outdated but I have cherry picked a few patches from there to a fork of STMicroelectronics repository and it builds and boots with modern buildroot. I have only tested to boot from sd-card yet. Please test if interested. I have updated versions of buildroot-stm32mp135d-odyssey, u-boot and optee_os in my Github repository.https://github.com/GauiStori/buildroot-stm32mp135d-odysseyShall I make pull requests for u-boot and optee_os to STMicroelectronics or xogium? Or is there an updated version of xogium somewhere? Now I want to see if I can find a working Yocto recipe. RegardsGudjon

I found an overview of ST’s ToF sensors at https://www.st.com/en/imaging-and-photonics-solutions/time-of-flight-sensors.htmlBut I miss the VL53L5CX in the picture.(Just in case someone wants to keep it up to date…I need no solution or any answer, but I can not select anything else than a question when creating a topic.) BR Klaus

Hello STM Team,I need LTSpice Model for SEA05TR for simulation verification. If possible, requesting to share. Regards,Yajush Sihag

I have created a dev board based on the STM32H743IIT6 MCU. On first power up I have managed to destroy two MCUs and I cant figure out what is killing them. On first power up 3V3 is immediately shorted to GND, after removing the MCU the pins are permanently shorted. Here is my schematic. The only changes I have made from the physical PCB is adding 10K pull up to PDR_ON, 10K in line from VBUS to the MCU and connecting the VCAP pins. Does anything stand out in the schematic?I have created modules from multiple STM MCUs(F1,G0,G4,WB,H5,N6) and this is the first time I am running into a power issue with a PCB.

Greetings,I’m working on a STM32MP13X based development board as a learning project. One of the things I’m trying to achieve is a BIOS-like program stored in a NOR flash from which the MPU will boot from every time. After that, the program will load details of any relevant peripherals, Like size & configuration of the installed DDR3 memory & any bootable media like USB drive or SD card. After which the program will boot the bootable media (if any). The aim is to keep the system flexible like a general purpose computer, i.e. no fixed DTS configurations like DDR size, etc in U-Boot or Linux, So that any Linux distro with kernel support for STM32MP1 can be booted off the media. Is this possible? If so, then can you give me an overview of how this may be achieved? I understand this is alot of work which I am willing to do if someone can point me in the right direction.Regards,Aditya M.

Hi,  We are planning to configure PWM generation on the NUCLEO-C542RC board using STM32CubeMX2. Could you please share the steps for configuring the PWM signal? An example project or configuration details would be very helpful.

is there a way to search for which stm32h7 mcus have integrated HS usb phy?the mcu finder product selector doesn't have such filter, is there an app note, a product brief or anything like that? How is one supposed to find such a controller? (besides manually checking all of them)Sometimes this is the main and only selection criteria. I didn't even know that such a feature even exists.I just stumbled uppon when i saw that the stmlink v3 has high speed usb but doesn't use an external usb phy.

Does anyone have experience with integrating hierarchical state machines (C-code) with a STM32CubeIDE project? For example, the QP/C software by Quantum Leaps generates state machine C-code based on a graphical modeling tool. If the state machine diagram changes the C-code is re-generated: https://www.state-machine.com/qpc/index.htmlHow can this capability be integrated with the STM32CubeIDE?In particular, if the state machine code is updated, how is the project source updated? Also, if the STM32CubeMX files (.ioc) is updated and the project source is re-generated, how can the state machine code be protected? (I assume the IDE's USER CODE section can be used for that...)Any feedback will be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi,we are trying to replace old STM1645-30 chip with new STM1645-30 but the VCC 28V (VCC and Control Voltage shorted togather) drops .Pleade Refer belowstm1645-30    Pin    Function    1    RF Input (50 Ω)    2    Ground    3    VC1 — 12 V regulated bias    4    VC2 — 28 V power supply    5    VC3 — 28 V power control supply    6    Ground    7    RF Output (30 W) Now the questions:1.Are the new and old stm1645-30 are equivalent?2.why 28V is dropiping?3.in new module pin 4 shows continuity with ground while in old modue it shows about 584 ohms4.Any suggetion regarding how to test the chip?

Hello, I was trying to solve the issue of this ticket: But, as you can see on the image that I am sharing, I cannot change the FreeRTOS type zone. How can make my project work?

As shown in the picture above, on Fedora 43, the CubeProgrammer application is not matching the OS scaling and there are no options to configure it like in CubeMX. CubeProgrammer is the latest version (v2.22.0), installed today. My computer is a laptop with a 2256x1504 screen and OS-level scaling is set to 133%. All other applications behave as expected, I only ever have issues with ST’s applications. This issue has been reported multiple times in the past on different linux distributions. I have tried all suggested fixes in those posts, none worked. Links to other issues that had no solutions:

Nucleowb55 - USB dongleI am reading form 2 temp sensors (ADT7410) & 2 tri-axial accelerometers (ADXL345) & then sending the temp data, mean accelerometer & FFTs values along each axis. For the accelerometers I read 2000 samples, take the mean & calculate FFT with arm_rfft_fast_f32()  and take the magnitudes using arm_cmplx_mag_f32(). I then pack the temp, acceleration means & top three FFT magnitudes for each axis for transmission over BLE. See code listing. I have no sensors connected and every value I read from the transmitted BLE is 0 (which I expect) except for accelerometer 1’s 3rd peak FFT value for the x-axis which always read as -150669558266527122758482001920.00.This is a sanity check really as I cant find a problem with me senor update function but was wondering if someone can spot something obvious I’ve been missing. (yes I know it might be the BLE client that is messing up but one step at a time) /*FFT & sensor data are held in the following type of

Hi, I am currently evaluating STM32C532KBU6, where I noticed the PB6 gets shorted (~20 ohms) with VDD of the MCU, as soon as the MCU is powered. When not powered, I am measuring ~4 Mega ohms between PB6 and VDD. I have not set any Option Bytes and did not flash any firmware as yet. The controller is consuming <10mA and no other abnormality observed.  I checked the reference manual as well as the internal PU/PD architecture. So far, I could not find any answer. The PB6 is not connected to any external circuitry and only to a test point. Any leads will help me here! Thanks!

Dear ST Team,I am writing to follow up on my request for access to the STM32TRUSTEE-SM (Secure Manager) resources. I submitted my request several weeks ago, but I have not yet received any update, approval notification, or access instructions.Could you please check the status of my request and help expedite the approval process? If any additional information or action is required from my side, please let me know. The product page I am referring to is:https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stm32trustee-sm.htmlThank you for your support. I look forward to your response.Best regards,RJ

Hi, everyone. I have been doing some courses bout stmf411 programming, it is quite good course. However a question comes up in my mind all the time. How would i learn if i wouldn’t have nobody to teach me all the microcontoller stuff ? or in other way how have the stm32 programmer master learnt to program? is there a special course that is given by STM company? What is the main source for becoming a master in st microcontroller master? I would really appreciate any answer to this that blow my mind … Thanks a lot

LL_LPTIM_Disable calls LL_RCC_GetSystemClocksFreq, but CubeMX does not generate stm32u5xx_ll_rcc.cThis causes a linker error due to undefined reference.A minimal reproduction .ioc file is attached.

Dear ST Support Team,Thank you for your continued support.Previously, I was able to download the schematic for the STM32F769I-DISCO board. However, at some point, it became unavailable for download.I would like to check the circuit design, so could you please make the schematic available for download again?Thank you for your assistance.Best regards,

Hi STM Team,I am working on an STM32 + ThreadX + NetX Duo application with the Ethernet interface. I am facing an issue with the NetX Duo DHCP client. My setup is: MCU: STM32N655X0HxQ  RTOS: ThreadX Network stack: NetX Duo Ethernet driver: STM32 HAL Ethernet driver DHCP client: NetX Duo DHCP PC is running as the DHCP server MCU and PC are connected on the same Ethernet network. Observed behaviorThe Ethernet interface works correctly when I configure a static IP address. For example, with:MCU IP : 192.168.50.50Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0Ethernet communication works correctly. However, when I enable the NetX Duo DHCP client, the MCU remains stuck at:Looking for DHCP server ..The DHCP server is running correctly on my PC.DHCP server configurationMy PC DHCP server is configured as:[SETTINGS]IPPOOL_1=192.168.50.10-254IPBIND_1=192.168.50.1AssociateBindsToPools=1Trace=1DeleteOnRelease=0ExpiredLeaseTimeout=3600[GENERAL]LEASETIME=86400NODETYPE=8SUBNETMASK=255.255.255.0NEXTSERVER=1

STM32G051C8 TIM2 is not initializing using LL_TIM_Init().  After I call the function and look at the registers they are all zero.  All the other TIM seem to work.

Could you please provide the part marking details for M24C02-FMN6P  for visual inspection purposes?

Hi,I'm integrating a newly ordered X-NUCLEO-67W61M1 shield with a NUCLEO-H753ZI board, using the X-CUBE-ST67W61 package. I'm hitting an init failure and want to confirm the root cause before I flash anything, since I have some open questions about the flashing process itself.1. Original symptom — SPI header validation failure at bootRunning the ST67W6X CLI/Echo application, I consistently get:EXTI callbackInvalid magic 0x5501Invalid spi header from peer, magic 0x5501, len (0, 0x0), version 0, type 0 flags 0x0, rsvd 0x1sem_if_ready not receivedsem_if_ready not receivedCould not init Modem handler[ERROR] in W6X_Init APIW61 Init failedFailed to initialize ST67W6X Driver, 2This happens on every boot, identically, every time — not intermittent. Expected magic is 0x55AA; I consistently receive 0x5501 (high byte correct, low byte wrong).2. What I've verified so farTo isolate whether this is a wiring issue or a missing-firmware issue, I connected a USB-to-UART (Silicon Labs CP210x) adapter dir

I purchased the STEVAL-IKR002V1D recently to investigate low power 169Mhz operation. I noticed the schematic has TBD for values on components - No BOM and the schematic also does not reflect my board. I have an IC, U3 not even shown in the schematic. Could you please attached the latest schematic with values. Thank you!
