Actually, I got it working.Since I am still getting the gist of my new stm32f767, I did not have an adc interrupt callback set up in "stm32f7xx_it.c" file, thats why it was not getting any value from HAL_ADC_GetValue(). Thanks,

I have found the issue. Issue was with adc initialization, I guess some kind of priority, I need to look into this, but if I comment out the adc() and adc_channel() init function uart works. what could have caused it? is it systick interrupt priority...
