Posted on May 17, 2011 at 15:03On page 373 of the STM8S reference manual, in the description of the beCAN Clock System, just below figure 143 it says ''The frequency of the external clock fCANEXT must be less that that of the the CPU clock fCPU.''
Why is this?
What about the other case when fMASTER is selected as the CAN clock and fCANEXT is not used?
Is the actual rule that fCAN must be less than fCPU?
