Partly Disabled Conflict Question: ETH and octoSPI on STM32H563

Hi,

having problem with understanding of the following message (yellow triangle in ETH):

Partly disabled conflicht with OCTOSPI

ReinhardD_0-1692866891699.png

I can select the Pins for ETH (RMII) and OCTOSPI (in QUAD-Mode) without any errors:

ETH:

OCTOSPI:

I want to use the SPI in Quad-Mode to connect a SO-8 Quad SPI-NOR-Flash memory.

Idon´t see any conflicts, so why this message?

The yellow triangle is letting you know that some ETH options (perhaps MII mode) are not available, due to pins being used elsewhere. The options that are not available will be red in the drop down.

It does not mean you current selections have any issues, and it's not an error you need to correct. Yes it's confusing.
