STM32CubeIDE and Wayland autocomplete not working?

Hi

Because people slowly seem to move to wayland I installed sway-wm and tried to start CubeIDE. But while typing and pressing CTRL-SPACEBAR no autocompletion drop down appears. Is this a known issue with CubeIDE on wayland?

From STM32CubeIDE release note Wayland is claimed as not supported.

My understanding is some of STM32CubeIDE features are not supported (like Device Configuration Tool or Target Device Selector). My expectation was common Eclipse platform features (like code editing / intellisense) were Wayland ok.

On which OS are you relying ?

I am on Arch Linux. The problem seems to be a mixture of your explanation and the window manager "sway" I used.

I switched to KDE-Wayland and auto-completion worked but like you wrote creating new STM32 projects does not work.

So this is a showstopper for me and wayland and I'll stick to X11 until this, possibly maybe will get a fix in the future.
