STM32CubeIDE 1.5.0 released
STM32CubeIDE 1.5.0 was released this week on st.com as well as a in-tool update patch.
Caution: The in-tool update does not allow updating drivers and ST-LINK server tool. Full installer is required for this.
What is new in 1.5.0? (only some highlights)
- Target support updated in-sync with STM32Cube ecosystem in general. In particular :
- Added the support for the STM32WL Series
- Extended the support for the STM32G0 Series to the new STM32G0Bxxx and STM32G0Cxxx devices
- Integration of STM32CubeMX 6.1.0, STM32CubeProgrammer 2.6.0 and latest versions of various other STM32 deliverables.
- New features :
- Added FreeRTOS™ debug support
- Added toolchain manager
- Allows optional installation of new Arm and Gnu Tools for STM32 toolchains based on GCC 9-2020-q2
- Reduces STM32CubeIDE installer packages by only bundling one toolchain: Gnu Tools for STM32 based on 7-2018-q2
- Improved OpenOCD supporting :
- Live expressions
- Serial Wire Viewer (SWV)
- Added the ability to write values while target is running in the Live Expression view
- Extended the SFRs view with Arm® core registers
- Added Ubuntu® 20.04 support
- For MPU series :
- Updated to OpenSTLinux 2.1
