Hi,
I have a STM32F769-DISCO board to study a new project, but when I select this target board in STM32CubeIDE, the following popup appears:
Please be aware target 'STM32F769I-DISCO' is not commanded for the new design.
Does anyone know the reasons for this warning?
Is it recommended to use a board with a different CPU?
In official STM website https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/32f769idiscovery.html
thi product is "Active".
Can you give me some advice?
Thank you
Enrico

Most likely the availability of the screen, the makers of these have life cycles which are a lot shorter than STM32 micro-controllers,

There is a new board coming out STM32F769I-DISK1. No info yet.

Probably something else, that's the one lacking the screen

Anyway, don't design a project USING THE BOARD in the end solution.
Perhaps an issue with screen, QSPI or memory ICs, or ICs related to Ethernet or PoE. If you're going to lift the design as-is, at least have your purchasing people review the BOM, and see what availability and lead-times are.
