@Markus GIRDLAND - Easily reproducible. Turns out to be another occurrence of the "fails to process file names including spaces" problem. I moved a project into a git repository whose path name included a space and I got the above behavior. I moved the repository to a space-free path and got things working again.

Is "fails to process file names including spaces" still an open ticket? Is this a different situation than last time this came up?

Yes, it's still an open ticket. We still prioritize opening up space to be accepted in more and more places of CubeIDE but non-english characters such as Å Ä Ö or

テスト has a lower priority to be solved.
